--------------------------------------- 12/16/2014 (ALL SHOWS ADDED AFTER THIS DATE WILL BE IN NEXT UPDATE!!) I am in contact with Ed Davis after he released his Las Vegas 2000 tape thanks to BLG. He will be sending over some of his other recordings that he has done in the past that have either not circulated, or were only sent out to a few people. He has told me some new information for some of the sources that I have listed that were mislabeled. Renamed the folder ‘nin2005-09-16.dpa4061.coolerluzi.0.flac1644’ to ‘nin2005-09-16.dpa4061.eddavis.0.flac1644’ as this was actually Ed’s recording. Coolerluzi forgot to mention that this was not his tape but Ed’s. This subsequently made me edit the txt file to add Ed Davis as the taper and modify the filename for the txt file as the master folder. MD5 FFPs and FLAC tags are all updated for Ed Davis. Added these sources to the NIN Drive and their respective year folder: nin1994-10-03.ecm737.ijwthstd.0.flac1648 nin2000-06-02.dpa4061.eddavis.0.flac1648 nin2000-06-24.okmi.rackhir.0.flac1644 nin2005-11-11.unknown.christelle.0.mp3160 nin2005-12-06.mk4.alexcoluzzi.1.flac1644 nin2005-12-10.mk4.alexcoluzzi.1.flac1644 nin2007-09-02.dpa4061.wis.1.flac1648 nin2014-07-27.cmc2.coffeecup.0.flac1644 nin2014-08-30.at.notorioustimp.0.flac2448 --------------------------------------- 12/24/2014 Changed nin2005-11-10.cmc4.unknown.0.flac1644 to ‘nin2005-11-10.cmc4.nevernamed.0.flac1644’ as the taper came forward and told me that this was his source. He went to the MSG show and a taper buddy of his taped. I hope to get that source. This made me change the tags of the source as well as redo the FFP and MD5. --------------------------------------- 02/28/2015 Deleted ‘nin1991-08-16.unknown.unknown.3.flac1644’ and added ‘nin1991-08-16.unknown.unknown.3.flac2448’ in its place. This is the same tape, but I have retransferred it with more effective archiving methods. As well as transferred it in 24/48. The 16/44 version is still available on the website. Deleted ‘nin2008-12-12.r09.punkrockster.0.flac1644’ and added ‘nin2008-12-12.r09.punkrockster.0.flac2448.’ Thanks to punkrockster for sending me the higher bitrate version of his recording. Hence the reason why removing the 1644 version from the drive. --------------------------------------- 06/25/2015 Deleted ‘nin1991-01-24.unknown.unknown.unknown.flac1644’ and replaced it with ‘nin1991-01-24.aud-vidsrc.unknown.unknown.flac1644.’ This is ripped from the same recording. Matt W took the VHS tape that I had and ripped the audio. This transfer is far superior to the original one. This has no compression or nasty EQ’ing done to it. The recording sounds a lot better because of it. This is the unknown gen, I also have a 2nd gen tape he is looking at, so we’ll see what we can compare. The only thing is that the deleted tape has 11 more seconds at the beginning of ‘Terrible Lie.’ If you really wanted to get that into it. But it doesn’t bother me. --------------------------------------- 08/30/2015 Changed all of the tags in the source, ‘nin2008-08-07.csb.bennyblanco.0.flac1644’ to read ‘Uncasville.’ As there was a spelling error when tagging the files. FFP/MD5 was also modified. Changed all of the tags in the source, ‘nin2013-11-21.ca-11.leifh.0.flac1644’ to read ‘2013.11.21 .’ As there was a mislabel error when tagging the files. FFP/MD5 was also modified. --------------------------------------- 09/18/2015 Deleted ‘nin1995-10-11.sbd.unknown.0.flac1644’ and added ‘nin1995-10-11.sbd.ms.0.flac1644’ in its place. This was transferred from the master DAT tape of the mono soundboard Marshall Stacy recorded that night. An unbelievable tape! --------------------------------------- 07/16/2017 Jesus… Almost two years since the last edit to the drive. Well, I have renamed ‘nin2005-11-02.unknown.unknown.0.flac1644’ to ‘nin2005-11-02.dat.iamgod1.0.flac1644’ as this was reseeded on DIME with the original taper notes that also included the taper’s username. I have updated the drive as well as the site for the changes. --------------------------------------- 07/18/2018 A year on from another change…. Whoops! So, I have recently found out thanks to ‘jaypayton’ on DIME that the source, ‘nin1994-10-03.silver.slaughterintheair.0.flac1644’ had some really bad pops and clicks through out the recording. This was definitely a bad rip. I received this from someone on twitter who provided me a proper rip and the artwork with the Silver CD. --------------------------------------- 07/19/2018 Time to start adding to the audio drive everything I have… Here goes! Added ‘nin1990-03-05.unknown.unknown.unknown.2.flac1644’ - This recording is the same as the unknown FLAC source that is on the drive but is incomplete with only 2:15 of ‘Head Like a Hole’ being on the cassette I transferred. Sucks. I will be keeping the other source and this source until I can find a definitive edition. This recording sounds so much better than the unknown gen tape. Added ‘nin1990-04-02.unknown.unknown.2.flac2448’ and deleted ‘nin1990-04-02.unknown.unknown.2.flac1644’ - Thanks to acc123456 for sending over this tape for me to transfer, along with a bunch of others! We did have another 2nd gen transfer of this but the other transfer ran too slow, heavy hiss and could have been tracked better. The intro to “Terrible Lie” was not recorded, and “Head Like a Hole” was not performed this night. You can hear at the end of the tape the PA music come on. So, this is a complete tape! For an early NIN show, this is not that bad! Again, bit thanks to ACC for sending the tape over. Added ‘nin1990-06-28.unknown.unknown.unknown.flac1644’ - This is a totally uncirculated recording that is added to the archive. Thanks to JAM007. Added ‘nin1991-07-26.unknown.unknown.unknown.flac1644’ - This is a different source than the other two sources from this date. Sadly, it is incomplete and cuts during "Ringfinger." Not sure if this is a complete source, but I would have to assume this is the whole recording. Decent tape. This is as good (or better) than the other two sources from this show. Some tape warbling during "Sin" and a few other parts. Could be because this tape is over 20 years old. Added ‘nin1991-07-27.cmc441.teddyballgame.0.flac1648’ Deleting ‘nin1991-08-03.unknown.unknown.3.flac1644’ and adding ‘nin1991-08-03.unknown.unknown.3.flac2448’ - I did the first transfer of this tape in 2011 and it sounds like ass. Compared to my new methods and abilities later in 2014, it sounds so much better. Added ‘nin1994-04-26.unknown.unknown.unknown.flac1644’ - New source to date. Added ‘nin1994-05-15.unknown.unknown.unknown.2.flac1644’ - 2nd source for this show. I only transferred this in 1644 because it was an unknown gen. At least that’s what my logic was in 2014 when I transferred this tape, I think? Deleted ‘nin1994-08-27.csb.mark.unknown.flac1644’ and added ‘nin1994-08-27.csb.mark.3.flac1644’ - IF ANYONE HAS A DAT CLONE OF THIS RECORDING, PLEASE LET ME KNOW. A DEFINITIVE VERSION FROM THE MASTER WOULD BE IDEAL. I have had this recording on the archive previously from a DAT dub to cassette (x3). This is a known 3rd gen cassette dub from the DAT master. I am not sure what lineage was in front of the original DAT dub version of this same recording that was on the archive. Big thanks to Smores for sending me this tape over a year ago to transfer, along with a bunch of other recordings he had done in the past. This version of Mark’s recording is the full recording. Between the two versions, this one has the 5 minutes of encore break. Whereas the first version I had, did not. I prefer the sound on this cassette as well. Of course, I would love to get a copy from the master tape, or a direct clone from the DAT master. Please help if you can! Added ‘nin1994-09-24.cass.mm.0.flac2448’ - Uncirculated source that was added. So rad to see the light of day. Deleted ‘nin1994-11-28.silver.hanginglikejesusonthiscross.unknown.flac1644’ and added ‘nin1994-11-28.silver.hanginglikejesusonthiscross.0.flac1644’ I personally ripped this boot from the Silver CDs Added ‘nin1994-11-28.unknown.stevekilinsky.1.flac2448’ - Big thanks to smores for sending me over this 1st gen cassette to transfer! This is the same source as the bootleg title “Hanging Like Jesus On This Cross,” but as a known gen of the recording. This version is a tad bit shorter than the unknown source. Leaving out the first 25 seconds of “Pinion” and about the first 15 seconds of “The Downward Spiral” where the tape flip occurs. After comparing both transfers, the 1st gen tape sounds much better. Not as muddy as the bootleg that floats around. This is why it took awhile to release this. But the quality different between the two versions makes it worth releasing this. Only thing I know is who taped the show, no equipment info is known. If you can provide more updated info on this recording, that would be fantastic! Added ‘nin1995-02-04.unknown.unknown.0.flac1632’ - Big thanks to ellaguru for transferring this LP Mode DAT for me. It’s a DAT clone from the DAT master, but that is all I know. This is different than the D. Merz source that is from this show as well. The tape is pretty good and includes the 5 minutes or so of the encore break that the DM source does not. The other difference is that the DM source has more of the pre-show before ‘Pinion’ than this tape. Added these uncirculated sources to the drive: nin1995-10-13.ecm959a.v4tx.0.flac1644 nin1995-10-19.sanyo.lf.0.flac1644 nin1995-10-21.mk4.teddyballgame.0.flac1648 nin1995-10-25.dsm6.unknown.0.flac1632 nin2000-01-15.dsm6.sk.0.flac1644 nin2000-04-21.oade.unknown.1.flac1644 nin2000-06-02.dpa4061.eddavis.0.flac1644 nin2000-06-02.dpa4061.eddavis.0.flac1648 nin2000-06-03.dpa4061.eddavis.0.flac1644 nin2000-06-04.csb.spaceboy.0.flac1644 nin2000-06-06.dpa4061.eddavis.0.flac1644 nin2005-xx-xx.sbd.mofoboy.0.mp3160 nin2005-05-03.mk41.bt.0.flac1644 nin2005-05-04.mk41.bt.0.flac1644 nin2005-05-06.dpa4061.tapeworm48.0.flac1644 nin2005-05-07.dpa4061.tapeworm48.0.flac1644 nin2005-05-16.ecm719.irnbruise.0.flac1644 nin2005-07-11.dcr-hc42e.unknown.unknown.flac1648 nin2005-11-20.dpa4061.eddavis.0.flac1644 nin2006-02-12.mk4.tapeworm48.0.flac1644 nin2006-04-01.dpa4061.eddavis.0.flac1648 nin2006-06-17.ecm719.irnbruise.0.flac1644 nin2007-02-22.ms907.yb.0.flac1644 nin2007-02-22.sony.dj.0.flac1644 nin2007-08-01.cmc10.alexl.0.flac1644 nin2007-08-03.cmc10.alexl.0.flac1644 nin2008-12-04.r09.sethmeister.0.flac1644 nin2009-05-22.r09.punkrockster.0.flac2448 nin2009-06-07.r09.punkrockster.0.flac2448 nin2009-07-07.cac.yb.0.flac1644 nin2009-07-07.ecm717.yb.0.flac1644 nin2009-07-28.unknown.dj.0.flac1644 nin2009-07-28.unknown.dj.0.flac1644-cdversion nin2009-09-08.dpa4061.bennyblanco.0.flac2496 Added ‘nin2013-08-18.sbd.thebang.0.acc160’ and deleted ‘nin2013-08-18.sbd.ninjaw.0.acc192’ because the actual source was at 160 and not 192. nin2013-07-26.sbd.grunzund.0.flac1644 nin2013-10-11.heb.bh.0.flac2496 nin2013-11-21.ca-11.bryanc.0.flac2448 Added the folder ‘nin2017’ to the main directory and added these files into it: nin2017-07-19.dpa4061.coolerluzi.0.flac1648 nin2017-07-19.mk4.meimnot.0.flac2496 nin2017-07-19.r05.innerturmoil.0.flac2448 nin2017-07-19.ws-852.jh.0.mp3320 nin2017-07-23.cmc8.friedmorals.0.flac1644 nin2017-07-23.r09hr.innerturmoil.0.flac2448 nin2017-07-30.sbd.thebang.0.acc128 nin2017-07-31.csb.screamingslave.0.flac2496 nin2017-09-15.at831.tapeworm48.0.flac1644 nin2017-09-15.ccm4.ryanj.0.flac2448 nin2017-10-20.pixelxl.kb.0.flac1644 nin2017-12-16.at853.anonymous.0.flac2448 Added the folder ‘nin2018’ to the main directory and added these files into it: nin2018-06-13.at831.tapeworm48.0.flac2444 nin2018-06-13.ca14.screamingslave.0.flac2496 nin2018-06-15.at831.tapeworm48.0.flac1644 nin2018-06-15.ca14.screamingslave.0.flac2496 nin2018-06-16.ca14.screamingslave.0.flac2496 nin2018-06-16.cmc2.hyprl00p.0.flac2448 nin2018-06-24.mv88.af.0.flac2448 nin2018-06-25.s9.fj.0.m4a256 nin2018-06-27.ls-5.rudda.0.flac2448 nin2018-07-02.s6.sn.0.m4a256 nin2018-07-12.h2.ziggyswoon.0.flac2496 nin2018-07-14.sbd.thebang.0.acc128 --------------------------------------- 08/20/2018 Changed the file/folder source of ‘nin2014-02-28.iem-aud.xavelrecords.0.flac1644’ to ‘nin2014-02-28.iem-aud.jokermanrecords.0.flac1644’ - This was confirmed by TheBang that the Xavel source was actually the Jokerman Records version. There is no Xavel release from that night. All of the files and tags in the source have been changed to reflect the actual source. Just to note, there was not Xavel source from the 02-26-2014 show that I listed for the longest time. All of the Tokyo 2014 recordings that were pressed to ‘bootleg CDs’ have been uploaded to the archive. --------------------------------------- 08/22/2018 Retransferred ‘nin1994-05-31.unknown.unknown.unknown.flac1644.’ This is the same DAT that was transferred a few years ago by FULLMETAL. He sent this over for me to transfer a few years ago and I finally got around to tracking all of this out. The initial transfer was good but the hiss was a little more noticeable and also there was some digital noise in a few of the tracks. This is a clean transfer and that’s why I would release a re-transfer. Still looking for a lower gen of this recording to get rid of some of the hiss as this is probably from a 2-3rd gen cassette to DAT. It really is a great recording. Also noting that I kept the full intro of Pinion, whereas it was cut from the original transfer. Retransferred ‘nin1994-11-23.unknown.unknown.unknown.flac1644.’ This tape had a lot against it before I even transferred it. One it was dubbed onto some really shitty memorex cassette tape and the hiss is way louder than it should be, it’s a higher unknown gen too. Since it was such a poor tape overall due to its media type, I only shared the 16/44 version. I hope that one day we can get a proper recording of this show that doesn’t sound so poor. If this were a lower gen, I bet it would sound good! So, I swapped this out from the NIN Drive with this new transfer. --------------------------------------- 08/23/2018 Reworked ‘nin1990-03-10.unknown.unknown.1.flac1644’ and I have updated all the files inside the folder. This was tracked completely wrong. So I re-tracked the whole recording instead of having ‘That’s What I Get and Ringfinger’ in the same track and also ‘Head Like a Hole’ split. When I was tracking each show for the NIN Drive, this didn’t pop up because it had the same amount of tracks and didn’t give me an error. I have updated the FFP and MD5 files inside this as well. Other than that, it’s the same recording and source. Deleted ‘nin1990-12-29.unknown.unknown.unknown.mp3128’ and added ‘nin1990-12-29.unknown.unknown.unknwown.flac1644-2.’ Source 2 used to be in mp3 format. But I have gotten a lossless upgrade thanks to another trader who sent me this. It was all out of wack with the speed being too fast, so I slowed it down by -5.2 and also retracked the show because it was not tracked properly. This is the full show and a different source than what is one the Silver CD releases just judging by the crowd this was a totally different spot than the other tape. --------------------------------------- 11/27/2018 Changed ‘nin2005-05-18.unknown.unknown.unknown.flac1644’ to ‘nin2005-05-18.realistic.jb.unknown.flac1644.’ This is ripped from the video that Joe Burns did that night and I have the known recording equipment for it. I am not sure what gen it is, most likely 0 or 1. But not too sure. I have changed the filesets, text file and redid ffp/md5 to reflect that. Replaced ‘nin2008-12-07.sbd.nin.0.flac1648’ fully, as the one I had on the drive/archive was NOT in 16/48. It was in 16/44. Thanks to TheBang, I was able to get a 16/48 rip of the audio and I have tracked it and added it to the archive and NIN Drive. --------------------------------------- 12/21/2018 With the CABAI Tour finished, I am trying to make a big push for the NIN Drive v3.0 to be seeded. Adding everything I have up to this point to the drive. Adding the new sources to the drive in their respective year folders: nin1990-02-01.unknown.unknown.unknown.mp3320 nin1990-02-15.realistic.dm.0.flac1644 nin1990-02-24.sonywalkman.trevorblake.0.flac2448 nin1990-03-10.unknown.unknown.1.flac1644 nin1994-08-03.unknown.unknown.2.flac1644 nin1994-11-09.pc62.acetboy.0.flac1644 nin1994-12-01.unknown.unknown.2.flac2448 nin2005-08-13.silver.liveatchibamarinestadium.0.flac1644 nin2005-09-16.mtx.ed-slick.0.flac1644 nin2006-07-07.mtx.sl-slick.0.flac1644 nin2013-10-14.iphone.irnbruise.0.mp3192 nin2014-02-25.iem-aud.newtattoo.0.flac1644 nin2014-07-18.ca14.travelinbeat.0.flac2496 nin2017-07-31.iphone.dr.0.flac1644 nin2017-09-15.csc.smr.0.flac2444 nin2018-07-02.at853sc.pillowman.0.flac2448 nin2018-07-02.atu853hc.pillowman.0.flac2448 nin2018-07-08.cmc8.ansem.0.flac2448 nin2018-07-09.ca-11.leifh.0.flac1644 nin2018-08-11.r09hr.blueheaven.0.flac2496 nin2018-07-12.ca11.chatts99.0.flac2448 nin2018-08-17.ecm719.tn.0.flac2448 nin2018-08-17.iem.xavelrecords.0.flac1644 nin2018-09-13.at831.lowlight10.0.flac2444 nin2018-09-13.ecm717.as.0.flac2448 nin2018-09-14.at831.lowlight10.0.flac2444 nin2018-09-18.ecm717.bd.0.flac2448 nin2018-09-19.ecm717.bd.0.flac2448 nin2018-09-24.q3hd.cj.0.flac1644 nin2018-09-26.matrix.kip-rj.0.flac1644 nin2018-09-26.mk4.ryanj.0.flac2448 nin2018-09-27.h4n.radiokid311.0.flac2448 nin2018-09-27.matrix.kip-rj.0.flac1644 nin2018-09-27.mk4.ryanj.0.flac2448 nin2018-10-09.ca-14.travelinbeat.0.flac2496 nin2018-10-13.ca14.screamingslave.0.flac2496 nin2018-10-13.ecm719.irnbruise.0.mp3320 nin2018-10-13.mmbsm8.califryed.0.flac2444 nin2018-10-14.ecm717.js.0.flac2444 nin2018-10-14.mmbsm8.califryed.0.flac2444 nin2018-10-16.ca14.screamingslave.0.flac2496 nin2018-10-16.ecm717.js.0.flac2444 nin2018-10-16.ecm717.lfg.0.flac2496 nin2018-10-16.mmbsm8.califryed.0.flac2444 nin2018-10-17.ca14.screamingslave.0.flac2496 nin2018-10-17.ecm717.js.0.flac2444 nin2018-10-17.ecm717.lfg.0.flac2496 nin2018-10-17.mmbsm8.califryed.0.flac2444 nin2018-10-19.ecm717.rjw.0.flac2448 nin2018-10-19.r09.ejc666.0.flac2448 nin2018-10-20.ca-14.kn.0.flac2448 nin2018-10-20.ecm717.rjw.0.flac2448 nin2018-10-22.ecmds70p.gladcarrot.0.flac1644 nin2018-10-23.ecmds70p.gladcarrot.0.flac1644 nin2018-10-25.at831.tapeworm48.0.flac2444 nin2018-10-26.at831.tapeworm48.flac2444 nin2018-10-26.csc.smr.0.flac2444 nin2018-10-27.at831.tapeworm48.0.flac2444 nin2018-11-23.dpa4061.adaml.0.flac1644 nin2018-11-23.dpa4061.adaml.0.mp3224 nin2018-11-24.dpa4061.adaml.0.flac1644 nin2018-11-24.dpa4061.adaml.0.mp3224 nin2018-11-27.ls12-lsp4.bluejane99.0.flac1644 nin2018-11-30.at853.notorioustimp.0.flac2448 nin2018-11-30.ca14.screamingslave.0.flac2496 nin2018-12-01.at853.notorioustimp.0.flac2448 nin2018-12-01.ca14.screamingslave.0.flac2496 nin2018-12-03.at853.notorioustimp.0.flac2448 nin2018-12-04.at853.notorioustimp.0.flac2448 nin2018-12-07.cmc2.hyprl00p.0.flac2448 nin2018-12-08.mk41.eddavis.0.flac1644 nin2018-12-11.dpa4063.anonymous.0.flac1644 nin2018-12-11.at853.notorioustimp.0.flac2448 nin2018-12-12.mk41.eddavis.0.flac1644 nin2018-12-12.r05.innerturmoil.0.flac2448 nin2018-12-14.sennheiser.califryed.0.flac2448 nin2018-12-15.matrix.ryanj-anon.0.flac2448 nin2018-12-15.r05.innerturmoil.0.flac2448 nin2018-12-15.sennheiser.califryed.0.flac2448 ————————————————————————— Deleted these two recordings from the drive: trentreznor2006-07-01.sbd.nin.0.flac1644 trentreznor2006-07-01.sbd.nin.0.mp3128 and then added these two sources: trentreznor2006-07-01.sbd.nin.0.m4a128 trentreznor2006-07-01.sbd.q101.0.flac1644 The m4a version is the rehearsals before they played the radio show. The flac files are from the radio station’s soundboard recording. So both of these are superior to the other ones I had. I didn’t even have the rehearsal tapes prior to this! --------------------------------------- 01/07/2019 I believe this is going to be one of the last updates before I finalize this version of the NIN Drive. Everything after this date will be on the next release. Or just keep up to date on the archive at ninlive.com and keep track on the RSS feed on the right side of the main page.
