just got home from the show. that setlist looks right. fan club members were let in early to get right up front, so that's where we went - dead center, up against the rail.

opening bands were good.

when pinion started, the crowd behind us squeezed tight, and by the time trent came to the mic, we were slammed against the rail until I couldn't breathe, let alone look at the band. I'm six feet tall / 200 lbs, and I was getting scared. it wasn't fun, so my wife and I climed out during the next song (you know what you are), right under TR, and went back a little from the front.

the show was great, better than I ever expected - and I expected a great show.

after the last song (HLAH), trent gave a guitar to someone front and center, right where we had been. I guess the guy (or girl) deserved it just for surviving up there.

best show I've seen.

I just got back from the show. Death From Above 1979 was interesting there were only 2 band members so the drummer was the lead singer. Their first few songs weren't that great but their last 2 were better. I just wonder how the lead singer would sound on a CD he wasn't the best live. Queens of the stone age were much better than I thoght they would be i saw the back in 2000 and I didn't like them but they weren't bad here. Before the song little sister (I think) Josh Homme made some comment to a guy that apparently hated them. He said thats what you get for coming early you should have stayed in the parking lot and gotten drunk or laid. He then said the song was about the guys sister that he had sex with. After the song he said nah it was the guys mother he had sex with. Next was Nails. I finally got to see nails again after 5 years. Setlist was as follows.

Trent said that he was glad to be back in florida and that he was glad the the hurricane stalled so they could play their show. At the end of HLAH Arron smahed his guitar and then handed the pieces to the crowd. Trent also threw his guitar in the air and after it smashed to the ground he handed it to the crowd as well.

Not that i've been to THAT many shows, but...this...was the best concert i've been to. woo. i'm something of an amateur musician and tonight was a reaffirmation of everything i love and love to do. trent gets my gratitude...and a bj if he wants one. this was the chuch.

The show was great, Trent always takes out all the stops. The lights were amazing, he rehashed the LCD panel idea from the Fragility tour, he even brought back the old video projector idea from the DS tour in 94'. I've seen a ton of huge bands perform, but NIN always goes balls out, the best by far.
Anyone know for certain if they are going to release a DVD of this tour when it's over? I didn't see any video being taped at this show.

Best concert I have ever been to. I was worried that the intensity wouldn't be there at first, because Love is Not Enough was really lackluster, everything afterwards was absolutely amazing though. The set was phenominal and Aaron North was absolutely insane. Trent seemd to enjoying himself as well. I must say I was disappointed with Jeordie though.... he just kind of went through the motions. Couldn't see much of Alex because of the lighting but his drumming was perfect. Give that guy a ton of credit for being able to come in and get settled as quickly as he has. As for the opening acts... Death From Above was OK. I am a Death From Above fan, but they killed Romantic Rights. They made up for it later with perfect versions of Going Steady and Black history Month. Queens was a lot of fun. Josh Homme's comment about the guy and his sister was very funny and it got the crowd really into the show. Up until that point the crowd had been completely un-responsive. NIN of course got the crowd pumped up, and all the way through their set. The best songs of the night were probably the one, two punch of "Right Where it Belongs and Beside You In Time". Thanks to everyone who made this such an amazing show.

I just got home from the show. God my legs are killing me. Awesome night. This was my 3rd time seeing NIN (Fragility in Miami 2000 and Atlanta in May of this year). It's really hard to rank them, but after a few days of thinking about it I will probably rank this the best one.

DFA1979 was awesome. I have been listening to thier album for like 2 months straight now and was so stoked about seeing them (for those in the Orlando area they are playing at the Social on Wednesday night. It's like $13 or something). Blood on my Hands and Black History Month were my favorites.

Queens was ok. I'm not a big fan and I was kinda dreading having to wait thru them to see NIN. They put on a good show tho. It was entertaining.

NIN rocked as usual. To this day Terrible Lie still ranks as my favorite live song. I was on the floor between Trent and Aaron about 1 row back from the railing (at least thats where I started the night, I was tossed around like a ragdoll the entire show). I was a little too close to really get the feel of the gauze screens, but I caught a good amount of it.

Highlight songs for me were:

Terrible Lie - 16 years old and still going strong.
Eraser - I've been waiting for like 10 years to hear this song live.
Beside You In Time - awesome.

All in all, fucking GREAT show. I had a blast. My legs feel like jello and I get to do this all over again on Monday night AND Tuesday night. Excellent.

My friend and I arrived at 12:30 and got in Spiral line. Unfortunately, we were told they bands were running behind schedule and there would be no soundcheck/m&g. Suggestion to TR, I would have settled for soundcheck and no M&G if that was possible who knows? Anyway, my 2nd show, my 2nd shortened set, no Sin and nothing that I know of to replace it. I have setlist bad karma.

I had a great seat this time, thanks Spiral and I made a point to look at the lighting (since I got so much flak for this) and I thought the lights were amazing and the sound was flawless as usual. Still don't dig the curtain. TR was especially chatty tonight and the new drummer was excellent. I can't wait for Tuesday night and I am sad that, that will be it for me until he returns next year, hopefully. As far as the opening bands, sorry didn't watch them. I watched the World Series out in the concourse (damn Roger got lit up tonight).
And lastly, it was great meeting and hanging out with Sharkdiver, Shannon, Greyskies13 and his friend. See you two on Tuesday!

The guitarist actually threw the guitar into the crowd. AND my friend and another girl got cut from the strings. The stupid guys behind them went crazy grabbing the guitar. Greedy assholes...

AWESOME SHOW! I went to the Sacramento show and this one soo much better. Energy was great! Band was good. The guy running on stage was totally staged.. why?? (We saw Trent talking to the security guard.) That was bizarre because there wasn't any energy lacking. Whatever, it was the best concert that I have ever been to!!

Great show! I was in sec. 101 and my right ear is still ringing. I missed DFA1979 but heard most of QOTSA's set... not really my type of music but they were decent. To me it sounds like the same song rehashed 8 different ways. As mentioned the crowd was unresponsive until the "I fucked your sister/mom" routine, that got some cheers.

This was my first NIN show and in fact my first time hearing most of the With Teeth material (I have every previous NIN album but just haven't bought much new music lately). I was hoping for more Fragile songs but... as it was I loved every minute. HLAH was a great closer and it's amazing how fresh it seems even after all these years. I went with somebody who had seen two previous NIN tours and he said this was the best by far.

As for the guy who got up on stage, no clue what that was all about?

It was towards the end of the show. I think it was THTF. I don't really remember what song. I don't know how early I can get to Orlando. I have a class at 1:30 that I don't think I can blow off since I didn't go on Thursday. That class gets out at 3, but I'll check my syllabus and if nothing important is going on then I'll skip it. How early were you planning on getting there?

I flew down from boston to catch this show. My mother's boyfriend lives an hour away so he got me the tickets.

I was in the centre of the pit. My neck is still killing me. I feel I proved that little girls can kick ass in the pit.

I really appreciated that Trent said he was happy to be there.

QOTSA was excellant.

I was so impressed wth NIN's setlist too.

Next two shows for me are boston and wilkes-barre... I'm spiral for those so we'll see how it compares.

Last night was nothing short of amazing.

kind of sucked they made us wait so long before letting us know no meet and greet. had drinks with friends we met in line instead of getting in early. disappointed ft. lauderdale is cancelled, but happy to have at least seen them in tampa!!!

What a show.

I was up in the Jeep club section to the upper left of the stage, I didnt get to see ANY of the projector stuff.
I was upset about that. I just hope there will be a video floating around of the concert on some torrent, other then that a superb showing.

That version of Hurt was the most amazing I have ever heard. I will not stop hunting until i find it : )

2 hour from Port Charlotte. 2 hours back. Well worth it.

Best concert I've ever been too. I've love both QSA and NIN so I think that made it such a great time. I"m so glad they didn't cancel it b/c of the hurricane, I don't think I'll have another opportunity to see Queens of the Stone Age (it seems like whenever they tour in the US they stick to home and play in more cities out west or if they come on east side they play in only the major cities) I love Josh's voice and I'm really glad they played Mexicola , it's a little diff than most of their songs so I think for the ppl that haven't listened to them, it shows the band's range. NIN was excellent of course, Trent was at his best. I loved the Eraser montage, lot's of messages in that one. Other than that, what else?? Oh, Trent changed shirts about half way through and I think I was the only black person there, not that I care, just observations.

Great Show! DFA1979 kicked ass no matter what anyone says and same goes for QOTSA. However, the talk is true. The crowd didn't give much love.

Nails rocked as usual. I was on the floor right up in front with a buddy of mine. This was my third time seeing NIN (first with Bowie in 95, second on fragility 2.0 in 2000), but my first time on the floor without those freakin' seats! As soon as "You know what you are?" kicked in the moshin' started. Some overweight dude gave it a go with the crowd surfing thing and hit the floor (taking my beer with him and about 4 others around us). "March of the Pigs" (My personal favorite live) spawned tornados of flailing bodies. It was freakin' great!!

I did see the guy up on stage right at the end of the show (donno what that was about).

I felt like my ears were stuffed with cotton for about 3 hours after the show. My voice was shredded. But in the end, I felt fixed. Yet another great show!!

Only gripes were the lack of songs off of "The Fragile" and the Guitar version of "Right Where It Belongs" didn't quite jive for me. Last thing: While I liked the more traditional, band oriented five piece setup, I kind of miss all the synth/tape that was present in the past. The show didn't compare to "Fragility", But like I said, it was a killer!

Props to Alex Carepetis for picking it up and running with it. He did a great job with no time to dally.

I agree with the comments on the crowd being weak... I saw them in 2000 during Fragility tour Milwaukee, WI and I couldn't breathe for the entire show everyone was going insane. The other night there were times where people were all seemingly spread out in comparison and I about 10-15 people from the rail in the pit the whole time for all 3 bands. The only time the crowd in Tampa compared to the Fragility crowd was when people were gouging eyes out and clawing eachother for guitar shards at the end.

I think the fact that the shitty bands DFA1979 and QOTSA opened had a lot to do with the lackluster crowd. I know of many people who were going just for QOTSA which meant NIN was mostly unfamiliar territory to them besides closer, and the new With Teeth singles on the radio. Last tour they were with A Perfect Circle which is much more appropriate than touring with some new-age rock bullshit punk-ass teenage girl bands. I also like the old band better, the new one looks like a bunch of emo goth fags. Fuck twiggy. Lohner, Finck, Clouser, etc. way different and more entertaining to watch but that's just my opinion. Would have been nice to see Jerome also instead of the newb.

Having said that it was a great show, I will be in Orlando tuesday to see it again, and can say it was worth the 5 year wait and standing through the monotonous opening acts to see. I wish they had played more of the fragile, and less off "with teeth" but it's all graves.

Great fucking show. My third NiN show (DS '94 ... Fragility 2000 ... and now WT '05) and it never gets old. I would say the over-all energy of the venue was a little more relaxed from previous shows, but it didn't stop me in the slightest from freaking the fuck out and screaming back every lyric back to Trent. Terrible Lie, probably my number one favorite, always gets me in the mood to put holes through walls when heard live. Right Where it Belongs was beautiful, and that shot of Fuckin' Dubya dancing with his wife made me want to bomb the screen. I screamed a dutiful "fuck you, bush!" and continued to enjoy the show.
QOTSA weren't as horrific as I thought, although the crowd on the floor looked more like cardboard cut-outs until what'shisface said something about fucking sisters and mothers and then everyone suddenly woke up. For six minutes.
I'm happy there were not so many songs off The Fragile, it's a different type of show this time around, much, much angrier. That fact and Fragility *was* the last tour with almost no other songs played, due to the huge amount of material. I'm absolutely ecstatic there were so many songs from Broken played. The energy was electric and I had the best night. Fuck Wilma and the postponment of the Ft Laud show. Can't wait to get that show back to So Fla.
And even though the whole put-your-lighter-up-during-the-slow-song schtick is still happening. It didn't look as gay as I thought it would. It actually really made the mood of RWIB and Hurt much more empathetic. The entire arena softly singing Hurt along with Trent gave me mad goose bumps. Great Damn Show and I can't wait for Wilma'ed Ft Laud to be made good, till then...

Yo! I just got back to Atlanta from Tampa. The show was absolutely amazing. I have been to many great shows, including 7 Tool shows, and this was tied for the best. I'll skip the opening bands, after all, this IS a NIN forum. Firstly, the music was absolutely perfect. Trent sure knows how to pick his touring musicians. Every member was stellar. Alex, who is sitting in, sounded like he has been pounding out those songs his whole life. Aaron continues to amaze me, and Jeordie is just the man. Jeordie just has such a cool, chilled stage presence. Alessandro really made an impression on me Saturday. I loved his intro into "Reptile"...really creepy.

I have come to realize that Trent is simply a genius as far as presenting music visually. The stage production was unreal. Trent continues to surprise me. By the end of the show, there must have been like 10 layers of visuals. I loved how they began the show with the screen down. It created an interesting atmosphere.

The video portion of the show was the highlight for me. "Eraser" is amazing live. The video was very good. That was a proper political statement. I will pay even closer attention on Thursday here in Atlanta.

Other highlights for me: "Reptile", "The Frail/The Wretched", "Suck", among others. The show was just one big badass display of artistry. Can't wait until Thursday.

Thanks to the band for such an amazing time. Trent is at the top of his game; the ultimate performer. Thanks to Rachel Schrift from Fantasma Productions. She went out of her way to provide me with the most up-to-date information regarding the show and Wilma. Also, thanks to Mexico for stalling out the storm. See you all at the show on Thursday.

Those are awsome pictures! I wasn't that close, but it was so freakin' amazing! That was my second concert ever, and one of the best moments of my life. I thought I loved NIN before, but I worship Trent now. Now I'm just so damn jealous that I don't get to see them in Orlando tonight. I am definitly going to see them again at every chance I get, too bad only one other person I know likes them.(I also have to go alnog with the black dude, I think I only saw three other Indain people there. what's up with that, we have to get more "colored" people to see how great NIN are.) I'm now 100% addicted. I have to meet Trent before I die. Wow, what an experience!

The crowd was excellent. I think the fact that there was little moshing shows a more 'in tune' crowd. There were a lot of old-schoolers out. Not so many little kids running around, which was nice. The crowd was very vocal and educated. You could tell Trent really appreciated it. He said "thank you" after just about every song. He also smiled several times during "Hurt" as the crowd roared between verses.

And the old band didn't look like a buch of goth fags? They always have. That's their look, and I think they look cool. Sure the old band was great, but this is the new face of NIN. As any true Nails fan knows, Trent enjoys working with many new musicians. The new line-up is incredible. I am thoroughly impressed with all of them. Jeordie is the man. I saw Jerome in Germany over the summer, so I'm glad I saw Alex play. There's nothing like seeing an amazing muscian for the first time. He fucking rocked!!

If you didn't like the opening bands, you should have come to the show later. Hell, that would have left more time for drinking. Also, this is a [WITH_TEETH] tour, so of course they're going to play more material off the album. Again, this is the new face of NIN and Trent Reznor. A much more mature Trent. Hell, he must be at least 40 now, right? The new stuff sounds incredible. The live show has further stimulated my interest in the new album. Lovin' it. Keep rockin' that shit, Trent!

Overall, I was very impressed with the concert. The setlist was great, as were the lighting and the visuals.

The opening bands were okay. But I thought that Death From Above 1979's performance could have been better. Queens of the Stone Age did a better job, but I didn't get to enjoy it because some asshole punched me in the eye! So after spending some time in first aid, I got back to the concert to see NIN, looking totally crappy.

Trent did an amazing job, as did the other band members. Best concert of the year by far.

My friend from Boston flew to South Florida for the Ft. Lauderdale show. When it looked lke that was in danger of being cancelled we made the committmenet for the 8 hour roundtrip to Tampa.

Got there at about noon. Many spirals in front of us. Not very friendly. But I guess you do get a little cranky if you get the at 8:45am to catch a meet and greet that never happened. Spiral Karma.

As soon as we heard no meet and greet, we bailed on the line and started pounding the drinks. It was cool getting to know my fellow nin-tologists.
