Great fucking show, loved the stock footage during Eraser/Right Where it Belongs. Very cool....Speechless otherwise

Awesome, best I've ever seen. If you have the means, I highly suggest you do whatever the hell you gotta do to go. Unfortunately they were playing with a curfew so some songs on previous lists weren't played. Oh well, still kicked ass.

How about next time playing something you havn't played for the last 8 nights and 2 tours!!!!!! Pull a rabbit out of the fucking hat for once NIN. We deserve it. I can't be the only one who feels this way?!?

i am going to the chicago show, and i am PRAYING that they put Piggy back into rotation. has piggy been played at all on the new tour?

Visual components were absolutely perfect. The sound was great. I didn't have a completely perfect view, but it looked flawless where I came from.

Missed Autolux's set, came in time to see QOTSA (who were good, but not fantastic. Same "get laid!" exclamations here as everywhere else). The audience reception was cold, and Josh Homme asked the audience members to raise their hands if they thought QOTSA sucked, to the amusement of many (he was pretty drunk). Some guy yelled at him, and Josh spent a good minute or two hilariously insulting the guy ("Hey, didn't I fuck you in the ass in the parking lot? What's that? You want to eat a bag of dicks? Please do!")

NIN was fantastic, boundless energy, Aaron generally giving off the air of a douche. However, the vastness of stadiums tend to give away just how small Mr. Reznor is. How funny.

Of greater note is the intermission Trent issued in the middle of Starfuckers ("Fuck the middle part, it's always a pain in the ass.") in which he introduced Josh Freese and thanked the audience. Trent (in my experience) doesn't talk much. Awesome.

It was an outstanding concert and Trent and the boys were definitely "on" tonight.

Trent stopped Starfuckers right in the middle, and told everyone he wanted to just skip the middle part. He said something along the lines of, "I thought it was a good idea at the time, but it's become a big pain in the ass." So they jumped right to the end...I gotta say - I didn't miss it.

He also took a moment during the pause to say thanks for the good thoughts for Jerome, and thanked Josh Freese for kicking ass in his stead.

Great energy...and the lighting, once again, was outstanding. True, not as great as the Fragility tour, but I don't know if that will be topped for a LONG time. It was really well done, though.

I thought Autolux was pretty good...you could tell they were not used to the big arenas, but I have a feeling they'll get there. Gotta check them out some more.

Queens of the Stone Age were, in a word, boring. I guess I just don't get them, but they weren't that enjoyable, and unfortunately, there wasn't enough beer to make the pain go away.

Pics of the show...camera phone, so I apologize about quality right off the bat...it's hard to really get a feel, but the strange looking jagged edged lights in the back were all LED and showed a bunch of different things. They also had the projector running from the rear for some additional effects. Quite nice.

The thing is, they have a guest drummer whose been learning thier songs for like 6 days. You had to know it was going to be a pretty stock set going in. In addition, they played a bunch of rarely used and new songs for us at the 5/4 show at the Fillmore, so we've already been lucky as far a unique setlists go.

All in all I thought it was a great show. It had by far the most techno/dance sort of feel of any I've ever been to(they seem to have reworked both Sin and Burn since May), but still had all the drive and energy we've come to expect from NIN. The new sober Trent is definitely more talkative on stage, and I loved the new screen footage during Eraser-Beside You in Time.

Autolux really was a bit of a disappointment. They aren't horrible, but after PWEI, Prick, APC and even Dresden Dolls, I expect a lot from bands Trent chooses to open. They play a lot of slow dramatic intro/outros which are horrible when you're the opening band and people aren't really there to see you. They'd be much better served playing smaller club shows where they had their own fans. Still I was pissed at the people who felt it necessary to yell at them through the whole set. The loudest of which kept screaming "thats just Sonic Youth, I've heard it before". Well you're just "Drunk guy being beligerent", and I've heard it before.

Qotsa were pretty solid. Although I'm not to big a fan of their straightforward rock style, They do it well. Josh's comments do seem a bit rehearsed, but they make up for it by changing up some of their album songs(particularly the radio ones) and adding new breakdowns that give it a good live feel.

After it all, I feel thoroughly destroyed, and after coming home and watching the tape of the White Sox defeating the Red Sox, I'm going to sleep a happy man.

Also, Seussman71's set list is dead on.

This show fucking kicked ass. Josh Freese did a damn fine job for how quick he learned the songs. Kinda funny having two APC (A Perfect Circle) members playing for NIN. Trent put on one hell of a show and playing Eraser and The Wretched fucking kicked ass nice way to change the set up for us. I'll try to post the pics my buddies got off there phones some came out really good so I will try. GOD TRENT PUT SO MUCH ENERGY INTO THIS SHOW. don't get me wrong the two fillmore shows I watched kicked ass but this was on a different level. lighting, sound, performance, everything was perfect and I love the way they started the songs up all with a different style like The Hand That Feeds. Well fuck one of the best NIN shows I've ever seen.

all of you bitching about the set list being the same...they have had freese for all of a few days...I am sure it will change now that he's in the fold a bit...apparently this mystery drummer thing might be another bump in road...plus all this production...a lot of work goes into these shows...ease up a bit and enjoy something....goodbye.

I agree with some, Queens of the Stoneage did suck ass. I couldn't believe how many people were in the lobby walking around while they were on. There shit gave me a headache. NIN more then made up for it though.

This was my 3rd show of this leg of the tour - Seattle & Portland a week and a half ago. I want to say thanks to Denver for showing Trent how much he is appreciated after the Sacramento debacle. Josh Freese is rock solid, and also brings his own drumming style to the show which gives a different slant to some songs. Collectively these 5 guys (and Jerome when able) pour their heart and soul into the show. Trent has a damn good thing going here folks, lets keep supporting him!

Dude its been the same since the last tour minus like 3-4 songs. And the last 2 tours. All i'm asking is throw in some downward spiral, broken and soundtrack songs. It's cool they have played deep and dead souls a little here and there but come on....there are so many damn songs they've never played before or havn't in forever. I enjoy nin all the time, i'm just saying do as you have told us. Oh and don't give me that shit about "new drummer" I know 4 drummers personally who could go in there and rip any song they call including perfect drug.

Even still, the guys he played with last night kicked ass, they complimented him really well. If you've heard any interviews with TR he's talked about needing a change, and maybe getting rid of the other guys were a part of that. He talks about getting rid of the negative influences in his life, maybe they were part of that too, who knows? I have no complaints, except QOTSA, they sucked. Other then that NIN really kicked ass last night.

danny is doing soundtracks like stuff as well as other production, charlie, like-wise, but more-so, Robin is in the new GnR getting his house paid for by axl rose, so he wont be coming back for surely.

I had seats in the 17th row in the section to the left of the stage. Man that was great. I'm kinda glad I didn't have floor spots though because they got pretty nuts. I saw one girl go limp after being thrown over the barricade. That was pretty scary.

My favorite part was when Jordie threw the water bottle into the audiance and hit that guy in the face. Jordie stopped for a minute to see if he was okay and then waved at him. That was funny.

But there was this weird lady standing next to me snake dancing the whole time. Even during the fast songs. And then my friend told me everytime I leaned forward she looked at my ass...WEIRD!!!!

I'm really glad all the NIN fans in Denver are so nice.

It was really really funny when Josh was talking shit about that guy and said "Man! I'm so sorry about your dick!! This guy's dick is so small he pisses on his testicals!!!"

i think this show beat the one i saw in may at the fillmore. i was in awe when the video projection came up on the curtain. it reminded me of the downward spiral tour. some of the visuals looked real similar, too... minus the anti-bush/anti-war stuff.

i was annoyed with queens of the stoneage real fast. not only do all their songs sound the same, but they were very boring. josh's comments to the guy on the floor made me laugh, but that was about it. they were a good band to take a bathroom break.

autolux didn't impress me much. the guitar feedback and depressing, emo lyrics got old. a few songs i got into, but they were also pretty boring.

nothing beat nine inch nails. i loved the setlist, i loved josh freese, and i loved the show they put on... listening to the radio on the way to the venue, the host was talking to trent on air and he said "i don't know if you realize this, but you're a rock idol. i mean, we love you man." i cracked up when trent's response was "um... ok..."

kainen I agree with you !! they always put on one hell of a show , but i am dissapointed that i spend so much on airfare or time driving, hotels ,gas food, 8 dollar beers to go see the same fucking show every night!!! one thing all of us on here has is we all love this band!! however i think there's nothing wrong with playing 3 or more diffrent songs every venue , thats not asking much. and to the shitbag's that wanna make excuses for josh freeze and say" he's new , he's only been with them a week" let me tell ya he's good enough to play any of nin's songs he is a great drummer and if he learned them that quick trent could've taught him others instead. the approach he could've took was diffrent drummer diffrent songs.

2 things....this new band is far better then the cross dressing freak wannabe Robin Fink ever brought to the stage, NIN is not Marilyn Manson he did not fit in period...the only person any of us should miss is Chris Vrenna.... as well NIN songs are fuckin hard to do live I think the songs that are repetative are the ones that are able to sound as proper as can be "I must admit when NIN does a song live it sounds ridiculously good" I think Trent has taken more care into killer sound then he has variety.

Yeah, they played almost for an hour and a half. I completely missed queeens and autolux ( thats ok I really did not want to see them anyway) I only moshed for the last 5 songs but it was the best I have been in. I always feel a little sad that when I get out of the show the band Trent in general cant be more than 10 miles away in my city...where do they go, do they stop and eat in lodo or have they gone back to "paris on the platte" do they just go back to the hotel? I remember at the fillmore Trent said you are all invited to the party its in Dillon's room at the marriot did that happen? Were there any sightings?

i did not attend this show (slap my wrists), but i have a few questions:

was "the frail" not played before "the wreched"? i'm assuming it was just left off of the list posted at the beginning of the thread.

also, did spiral members get anything special? a quick autograph-signing? a soundcheck?

how fucking cool are the silkscreen effects? opening the show behind them for "love is not enough" and the images projected for the "eraser/rwib/byit" performance really blew me away. during "byit" where trent hits the screen with his mic stand and the image shatters was one of the most original ideas ever conceived for a live show. i was able to see it during the slc soundcheck before the actual concert which made it twice as intense.

Yes, the Frail was played before the Wretched, they just forgot to list it.

It was really cool when they were playing 'Beside You In Time' and the LED lights were projected all over Trent - hopefully, someone got it on film and will post it.

Right Where It Belongs & The Frail/The Wretched were highlights for me because we didin't get to see them play those songs last time in Denver. Also, if 'Only' had been traded for the new song 'Not So Pretty Now' that would have made the show even more amazing than it already was.

The crowd got gnarly and somewhat violent like always.

I was at the rail with repeating_in_my_head. It was too close to see the images on the curtain, but it's made of a silver/white metallic mesh fabric - it's very cool.

I liked Autolux and had no problem with QOTSA and couldn't tell if Hommes was drunk or not. Sorry, had to add that.

Spiral members got nothing special. Just the early entrance...that's it.

Trent said we were a fucking awesome audience, yeah we know!!!! We always are!!!! that's why you should let us in for a soundcheck!

I missed Jerome not being there, the atmosphere felt different, kind of weird, but Freese was holding his own back there - the guy is amazing!

Jeordie's bass malfunctioned and he got pissed, but r_i_m_h has the exclusive on that one!!!! yeahhhh it was beautiful when Jeordie chucked his bass across the stage!!!

Jeordie was playing guitar on HLAH, silly (unless I was hallucinating)! But yes, that was a wonderful, wonderful moment. About halfway through the song, his guitar cut out/he lost his monitor feed/ something. He realizes it after a moment, looks down slightly at the guitar, and mouths "FUCK YOU!" at it with almost frightening anger. He tried to play another chord or two, got even more frustrated, and beat the guitar neck against his mic stand 3 or 4 times, and then wandered further back, near his amps. He then took off the guitar and launched it across the stage in Aaron's direction. A couple seconds later, Trent followed suit and hurled his guitar. Then Aaron seemed indecisive about what to do with his, took it off, and walked back to the drum kit. He looked to be considering ramming it through one of the toms, but thought better of it, perhaps in deference to Josh Freese, and just plopped it down on the drum kit, blaring feedback, and the band walked off the stage.

Also, QOTSA suck. And Josh Homme is an idiot.

I don't care what you guys say, Queens of the Stone Age put on a good set. You try performing to an ungrateful, apathetic audience and still kicking ass. Everybody overanalyzes and underappreciates shit too much these days. Obviously, Trent wouldn't choose these bands if he didn't like them, so you're basically insulting his taste. Plus Troy was playing with them which was sweet.

NIN were great as usual. I'm glad I wasn't so close that I didn't get to see all that kick ass video, especially the baboon eating a flamingo. Rock!

What a great show. Its moments like that show that make me believe that just maybe this whole universe was created for me. Or at least for the guy next to me, he looked a lot more into it than I did. Good for him.

The thing is, that only explains this show. What about the other 7 nights??? I guess it would be too much to ask of them to play "Last" instead of "HLAH" for once.

Yeah, I was wondering if that was them, I wasn't sure since all the flour had rubbed off onto my clothing, yeah flour, not cornstarch! I thought they looked like these little munchkin flour people and were really cute - the guy was really nice...the girl next to me was annoying the piss out of me throughout Autolux's set. She wanted to be a security guard, lmao, she probably weighs 85 lbs. Sorry they were throwing elbows at you. Speaking of which, some huge ass bully behind you was drillling his elbow into one of my lower ribs on purpose, I pushed his arm away...and then he did it again intentionally, so that's when I turned around and screamed "STOP IT FUCKER!!!" sorry if i screamed in your face - I was pissed off ... he did stop after that but it turns out that is the worst bruise on my body freaking black/blue. I hope he gets whats coming to him for picking on me.

The guy with the nipple piercings and tatts next to us was in the video footage as well towards the end. We are on there at the beginning standing in line about 10/11 people back...did you see us? My arms are just getting sore now from pressing the barricade,yeah, i know. but, hey i didn't feel like getting crushed just yet, hah..i still have bruises on both knee caps but very few elsewhere...I have to say that some chic who surfed out for whatever reason and her ass landed on my face, yeah that fucking hurt at first but it's ok...christ then there was the girl who passed out, I helped lift her out...and her boyfriend. ahh, fuck it!

Great show!!! I'm no NIN hardcore - but I have been to their last three tour shows in Denver. I thought this one was the best! The feeling and mix has definitely changed with the new band members (and the instrumentation in the new album). But, I like it!! It is fresh and new - but doesn't jeopardize the traditional energy and originality. I thought the visual effects were great - but perhaps not as good as in the past.

The actual mix of the sound at this show was WAY better than the prior shows I have been to. I was about 1/2 way between the stage and the mixing board on the floor and the sound was as good as any concert I have been to. It was amazingly clear and defined. The bass was crisp and loud and Reznor's voice was absolutely sharp. This huge fucking wall of sound was coming at you. But, if you listened, there was amazing separation and you could hear every part individually. VERY IMPRESSIVE!!! Kudos to the sound guys!!! One other thing - it was loud - but not so loud that you had to wear ear plugs to keep your ears from bleeding!

Because I don't see the band very often, I had forgotten how much fuck'n energy is packed into their live shows. WOW!!!

My only criticism was Queens of the Stone Age. No offense to Trent, but I thought they were totally out of place and an extremely poor choice for an opening band. While their music has a lot of energy, it really isn't of the same genre as NIN. Plus, there just isn't much to it! We used to call that shit "speed metal" - but QOTSA doesn't even do a good job of it. I thought the quality of music was simliar to the quality of the lead singer's comments during the set (i.e. "go eat a bag of dick" . . . "I think I butt fucked you in the parking lot"). Autolux wasn't my favorite, but at least they were original and showed a real spark of talent. The drummer was very good and I love the fact that it was a chick!

i still love the down in it clip they integrate into closer is awesome.


about queens of the stoneage, zorngalas: it doesn't matter if trent picked them or not. most of the entire venue was just standing there because they were boring, unfunny, and all they played sounded the same. the only unique part of their whole set was the cowbell... and their 10 minutes long version of no one knows.

It seems most people agree with me so far, I just wish someone close to NIN would listen because I'm not the only one, It's starting to piss people off.

was amazed how easily i got my tequila past security....i used the obiwan technique...."there is nothing here to find"....haha....had to pay $4.00 to get a glass of ice though.....oh well better than buyin 6 dollar beers all night.....next time i'll have to try to sneak in a 5 lb bag of ice too.....

well....i was a little dissapointed when i looked at my cell phone an it was 9:06 pm already and nin wasnt out yet and i know the tin can we were in closes right at 11 but shortly i heard pinion coming.....and yes I was the first on in the entire arena to call pinion uh huh uh uh haha but i caught it before the rest of my section at least...yeah i know.....im so cool......haha

so short set but at least he cranks through the tunes.....no more than a few seconds in between most songs......and no wasted time on a lame ass encore break.....

i liked autolux reminded me of sonic youth when they open a neil young show i saw a decade ago.....sonic youth got booed off the stage.....but autolux was good if youre into that type of noise.....

qotsa were also good but none of us could understand a word he was sayin...i supposed the mix was off or maybe it would help if i knew the words to begin with......they had good energy....were pretty tight but sometimes seemed to be out of synch with the drummer or vice versa or maybe it was just an offbeat tempo? the singer seemed to hump his guitar the entire time kinda amusing had the elvis hip sway goin too....all in all we enjoyed qotsa....

nin was great....drums were tight and dead on...trent was hyper amped as always...not bad for an old man....haha....and i think he was covered in sweat even before he came out.....must have been doin some ab-crunches before walking out.....

i thought the setlist flowed great nice selection....just taking the intro to wish for an example one can see why trents music can hurt a live drummer....i too wish they would mix it up a little and suspect they will start to soon.....but since this is the only show i will see of the arena tour that really doesnt bother me......but as soon as i heard starfuckers start i knew the show was almost over and that made me sad....its better not to know.....and i was dissapointed it was over so fast.....really wish all bands would go the grateful dead route and put on 3-3.5 hour long shows.......oh well....

heres hoping some kind soul snuck in some mics and a deck along with their bottle of booze.......

At least Queens changes their set every night

The only reason I'll be seeing anymore of this tour is for that reason.

i dont see anymore reason to go see NIN again on this tour if I'll be getting the exact same thing everynight, I've seen them 7 times so far this year and the last 3 shows have been way to predictable,, not 1 song diffrence, with the exception of Starfuckers which gets played close to every night anyway...

Queens of the Stone Age Rock, This should be a co-headline tour IMO.

why do people keep saying this? it's not down in it, it's the only time.

I said the same thing when I heard it too. It may be called Closer (The Only Time), but it sounds like they intigrated a part of "Down In It" into it. either way it sounded really good, I thought.

I thought the show was wonderful. This is the fourth time I have seen them and they are wonderful every time. Although, I think Im done with hearing "Closer". That song was fun when I was 16. During the parts when they were projecting things on the screen, the guy next to me must have been on some bad drugs, cuz he freaked and ran off the floor. idoit. Who pays $60 for a floor seat, then gets fucked up to the point they cant remember the show? I would also like to ask, who was the complete asshole who kept throwing toilet paper?!?! Where the fuck did you think you where? The Rocky Horror Picture show?

ahh....i forgot about the toilet paper....thats funny.....looked cool from where i was.....like a giant multicolered glowing dragons tail.....but then again i wasnt gettin hit with it......and i was a wee bit drunk....

i laughed when i saw the toilet paper fly.

oh yeah.....and per a seating vs standing discussion somewhere else......

our entire section....124 i think.....stood the entire nin set.....i dont think any lower seated sections were sitting for the nin set but i could be wrong.....

NIN put on one the best show I have ever seen.
Out of the 20 +/- in the section there were less that 10 people standing! The people behind us got mad at us for standing up. I couldn't believe it, your at a NIN show, get up, have fun. I guess thats what section 331 gets you, lol.

So i am new hear, I know its been a whil since this show. But I wanted to say what I thought of the show briefly.

1. Autolux really sucked, I just couldnt get into them, but atleast they werent emo bullshit.
2. QOTSA were better than I expected at first, but then their set just kept dragging on and on. Also some of there songs sounded completely the same.
3. NIN was incredible, it was my first time seeing them and they were great, setlist was perfect for me since I am a first timer, could of had another 1or 2 songs though. Josh filled in for this show and he kicked ass, I will definatly see them again.
