tight show, u know the deal -- trent looked f'n great -- but man, what a weird f'n crowd. i felt like i was at a tourist show. trust me, it is very strange to see girls in cowboy hats dancing to wish. or standing next to guys sporting their new nin tour shirt with their bling bling chains hanging outside their new shirt waving their fists to tdtwwa. it was surreal.

i never felt so alone at a show before. after 2 years living in vegas, for the 1st time i missed the buffalo crowd. in buffalo, there are no tourists. 2/3's of the vegas nin show crowd certainly seemed so. not to be superfisal, i am 27, but apperances do mean a lot. i watched three bon jovi songs before nin. at least there the crowd fit in!

the opening act was very good. she has talent, skill and was fun to watch. good preformer.

the air was much cleaner that expected.

i have never been to the joint before, but high frequency sound such as guitar distortion (from the band) would bounce off the backend and the wall that sticks out for the 2nd level and distort the rest of the music at certain times.

SET LIST had the same songs as the 1st SanFran show, minus starf* (i left after headlikeahole assuming it was the last song. the set list toward the end of the show may have been slightly different than SanFran's)

you know that seems like a lot of peoples complaints. I keep hoping i'm going to meet real people there, but every time I see them it's the same crowd. Same pseudo-goths, listening to the same cd over and over, and not having any idenity of their own. They all think they're intelligent, and musically inclined, but they only listen to nin, manson, and tool. They're all pretty much slaves to Trent, it's kind of pathetic.
Though I have met some really cool nin fans online. The hardcore ones just bug the fuck out of me.

Strange that people complained about this crowd. V_n_D said she had a horrible time with this crowd. She was against the railing in front of Jeordie. I was on the rail right in front of Aaron. The crowd over by me was great. Not a single crowd surfer and no real assholes. There was one crazy bitch before the show, but I think she drifted elsewhere.

Great setlist and great performance. Better than Davis for me. That was my first time seeing Reptile live. A major highlight. During Terrible Lie Jeordie really got into it. Glad to see he is settling into his role. Aaron was also much better than the Davis show. Smashed the fuck out of his guitar right in front of me.

Really happy they didn't play Starfuckers. I was dreading it. The tamborine in WT was cool as shit. Trent knows how to get down with that thing and make it work. This was my fifth time seeing Nails and it was the best performance of Hurt that I've seen. I'm not really a big fan of this song live either. No assholes screaming Johnny Cash and it was an overall more inspired perfomance.

Before the show I saw Jeordie and Aaron walking around the casino a bit. They were in conversations with people that looked more important than myself so I didn't bother approaching them. My new best friend was able to hook up a couple of after show passes through Rob's girlfriend.



It wasn't really "backstage". It was on the balcony above the venue floor. No open bar, no food. wtf? Trent and Aaron never showed up, but the rest of the band was up there. Jeordie and Alasandro didn't stick around too long. Jerome was up there the longest. I talked to him a bit. Talk about a nice guy. He asked my name and how I liked the show. I told him I'd see him around and to have fun. He had silver toenail polish on. Dipped them in my water....LOL.

I would have to say that was my favorite NIN experience overall. Show, setlist, up front, backstage, met Jerome. I really had a good time and got to meet a few other ETSers.

One last thing.....The Dresden Dolls were much better than I expected. I thought their album was drab, but what a performance. War Pigs ruled. Shave those armpits girl.

I had an awesome time! I am really surprised about the complaints about the crowd. I guess I lucked out by being next to some really cool people (like Doba). I thought the Dresden Dolls were great. Very pleasantly surprised. The NIN set list was excellent, I'm glad they didn't play Starfuckers as well. The highlight for me was The Big Comedown.

The after party was pretty lame. I can't believe there was no food. I was all about pigging out when I got up there. Oh well. The water was good though! Much better than Bud Light from a can. hehe

Actually that was probably the best crowd I've seen in vegas (aside from their taste in some music)... great show.. Dolls really did suck though... Monotony anyone? Think I was standing by The girls parents... As much as you guys were glad he didnt play starfuckers it would have been more than appropriate for vegas anyone record the show?

Well, I was a tourist and I was at the show so I guess I suck. My best friend and I are big fans and since the band isn't stopping by WA we decided to go to Vegas. The show was great and I was very impressed by the acoustics (the sound was VERY clear). I thought the crowd was good, didn't see anyone really making a scene, everyone seemed to be having a a good time.

We showed up right as the DD were starting War Pigs, which was great but I didn't care for the rest of their material. NIN rocked even harder than the first time I saw them during the Fragility tour at The Gorge, they seemed to be in top form. Highlights of the set for me were Burn, The Big Comedown and Reptile. Trent hardly spoke to the crowd, only a few thank you's here and there, no bullshit they just rocked from beginning to end.

WARNING : Unfortunately MAJORITY of this review deals with pricks at the show and not the actual show itself due to the fact that my evening was CONSUMED by them. Sorry about that.

I have never been so utterly dissapointed and pissed off by a crowd in my life. Ever. I'm SERIOUSLY fucking pissed this morning that I missed the friggin Coachella house for that fucking lame shit last night. Show may have been amazing but unfortunately I was unable to actually enjoy ANYTHING past the third song due to ASSHOLES AROUND ME. I will say this, when I go to a fucking show and I wait ALL DAY to be in the front DO NOT fucking try to squeeze your way in front of me(ESPECIALLY when I KNOW you got there early evening). I will fucking murder you. I'm NOT naming any names but a choice individual who posts on this board decided it would be a fucking genius idea to weasel his fangirl ass in front of me. I spent over 3/4 of the show using every ounce of strength I had to try to keep him out. Unfortunately he FINALLY made it in when Trent threw a water bottle and I went into fangirl mode to attempt to retrieve it. As I told him after the show if I had not known him he would have left the show bloody - I PROMISE you. I can be a pretty nice person but DO NOT fuck with me at a show.

On TOP of that guy my boyfriend had fucking queen amazon behind him jabbing him in the back with her elbows. Now, I'm a big bitch too so I know how it is but she kept fucking flailing her arms between us and generally just being annoying. Also had some broads behind us that apparently got in because they knew somebody from security, they didnt seem to give two shits about Nails and were dressed VERY innappropriately for the floor at a NIN show(I heard a few "Ow's and a "stop pushing" when the lights first went out). I knew right off the bat they weren't gonna last and at least one of them got pulled out during MOTP. Then towards the end of the show some DOUCHEBAG fucking SMACKED me upside the head, I turned around and couldnt tell who did it. Then he did it AGAIN and when I turned around he told me that they were "trying to take a picture" and I saw some slut with a CAMERA PHONE. FUCK OFF. My 6'2" ass then stood on my toes for the next two songs so I apologize to anyone else that was behind me but I had to do it. The same asshole was molesting girls in the crowd (luckily not me) but he managed to grab my boyfriends ass apparently thinking it was the chick next to him. We tried several times to get him removed from the crowd but security wouldn't do it. Also some chick kept pushing me to the side and BEGGING me to let her in on the barricade because she "wanted to touch trent". My response? I finally just pushed her back and told her to fuck off. Call me a heartless cunt but if you want to "touch Trent" get there early.

Really overall the crowd was actually VERY mellow compared to the other shows Ive done its just a few select assholes around us that were fucking things. I think I only saw like 3 or 4 people get pulled out. When the show first started I was almost dissapointed by how calm everyone was. I saw APC there on the last tour and the crowd was the same way sans that pricks around us. I actually expect some pushing and bruises if Im up against the barricade for a show, I just can't stand dealing with assholes. I did however meet some REALLY rad people waiting outside all day so that is one redeeming factor. Was really nice finally meeting fischbaucher and Doba too. Glad to hear you made it backstage, you both are rad and I really hope to hang out again soon.

The show itself was decent but I am unable to give a really accurate review due to my experiences that evening. I literally COULD NOT enjoy the show. Same setlist as SF basically and I dont recall anything out of the ordinary other than the fact that the set seemed a bit longer. Could just be because i was SO ready to leave by the end though. Trent didnt come down during Piggy, I dont really think he could w/the stage set-up. Nice to see the tambourine back as well. Also cracked me up that he stripped his white shirt off about two songs into the set and played the remainder of the show in just a black tank top. Bent over a few times to reveal holes in the ass of his jeans too. Heh. Did anyone see what happened when Trent laughed and said "It just slipped out of my hands" towards the end of the set? I missed it. The show was definitely the latest running Ive been to yet and it didnt get out until after midnight - hence preventing us from making the 4 hour drive to Coachella.

I almost forgot - its my understanding Fred Durst was there upstairs (along w/a billion other lame celebrities). That place was a Starfuckers dream come true last night due to the 10th Anniversary Hard Rock celebration bullshit. Ugh.

Sorry about all the bitching and long review I just NEEDED to get all that out.

EDIT: I just went back and re-read my Frisco review and my whiny ass bitched about the crowd there too. Haha. I will now say I would take the SF crowd 8326487648327 times over the Vegas one. Easily.

I had a similar experience with the elbows in the back at the San Fran show. Fucking pisses me off. I'm a pretty stocky guy so I was able to hold my position, but I have a shit load of bruises on my back right now.

Absolutely. Nice to meet you and I hope we can hang out again. Hopefully with a better crowd and without you having to take off after the show.

This did look like the same set list as the first night of San Fran minus Starfuckers and throw With Teeth in there somewhere. I'm terrible at remembering set lists.

Sorry you had a bad time, I never go up towards the front for the majority of the reasons you mentioned. I'm perfectly happy standing about midway through the crowd in the center where noone is pushing and shoving etc, just people who want to enjoy the show and not go through all the bullshit drama that happens in front. To answer your question, Trent said "sorry it slipped" after one of the times he through a guitar. As for the lame celebrities, we saw two jerkoffs from Nsync and the lead singer of Sugar Ray, all of which were surrounded by women of course.

They did play Home, but I honestly can't say exactly where it fit into that setlist...

I personally thought the crowd was great. I really liked the people around me and the people in line with me. I got there at 4:00pm and I was in the front of the line by the palm tree's before the enterance. Birds were shitting on couple ladies in front of me. I really liked the crowd because no one was really annoying, or acting stupid during the show. (there was a guy that was drunk and was yelling stupid shit during the line though). I was suprised at the minimal amount of mosh pits at this show. But yeah, I don't like mosh pits so I don't mind. I was about 5 feet from Trent Reznor and that was fuckin awesome. But over all, the front wasn't really crowded, I didn't feel like I was going to pass out of dehydration, and overall I felt it was a nice number of people

as for the show...

I thought the show was fucking great. I loved the Dresdom Dolls, they fucking rocked. It was the lead singers birthday and that was cool, and she knows how to destroy that piano of hers. Aaron North was gettin all crazy on stage, and I liked how I was able to see that through the projection screen. And when Nine Inch Nails came on.... ohhhhh amazing shit.. I loved it. I have to say the modifications Trent did for his old songs for this live show was great. I loved the new March of the pigs live, I loved Terrible Lie, and I definitely loved Big Come Down. I never really liked with teeth until this show. This show made me really appreciate that song. And it sounds great live. I also got all crazy and screamy during Hand that Feeds. That song sounds great live too.

The highlight definitely was The Big Come Down. That song is awesome live. I was really happy with the set list, I'm glad he played Home. I was like the only one being able to sing along to it around me. I'm really glad he played Burn. Got myself a poster and t-shirt after the show and can't wait for my order of with_teeth and my shirt to arrive in mail this week. Trent successfully destroyed me.

I had two tickets to this concert but was in a car accident out by the lake... totally missed it due to messing with police reports and shit....

so sorry you missed the show. Hope you get to see another one. I flew in from New York to see this show, since NIN is not coming anywhere in my neck of the woods until maybe after Europe? I hope!

The show was absolutely INCREDIBLE. I did not go up front, but I thoroughly enjoyed it anyway. I could see everything from where we were. Right down to their shadows on the walls. Did anyone else catch that? I've never been in a venue small enough for that to happen! It looked like a video or something.

I too, saw that drunk guy in line. What an ass! Also, in front of me, there was a couple who, I swear, must have won tickets and didn't know what the hell they were getting themselves into! The girl was so drunk and she was jumping all over her boyfriend, literally hanging on him (in fact, as soon as she let go, he had to pull her off of the floor). They were both pretty tall, so those of us behind them were extremely annoyed. I guessed she wasn't going to make it, and sure enough, after maybe 5 songs or so, they were out of there. Thank God!

There were some fights too, unfortunately. Some people just had a little too much alcohol in their systems, I think. As for the people around us, AWESOME. Once that couple left, we had a great time. Everyone in my little section was so cool.

Two friends of my brothers that didn't have tickets hung around the casino while they waited for us, and one of them met Alice Cooper. I thought that was pretty neat.

Hope everyone who was there thought the concert was as insane as I did! Trent and the guys kicked ass. The performance was flawless. I was impressed! And yeah, Trent did look good. He is truly taking care of himself these days. Hope this trend lasts.

Yet, although the muscles are nice to look at, it's really just a bonus. It's all about the music, after all.

A Stoner's Review:

Got to Vegas at midnight on Friday... Was already tired from staying up all night Thursday night dropping E with my girl (real good shit too)... Smoked a bowl of deep, dark purple bud on the way into town... Wandered around the Hard Rock for an hour looking for my people...

Wound up in line behind Leelee Sobieski at one point... Ran into David Arquette in the bathroom (didn't know if his wife, Courtney Cox, was there, but heard Matthew Perry was)...

Finally found one of my friends who was meeting me there, we walked around and I saw Rob Zombie and John 5 playing the slots (they were there to perform with Camp Freddy the next night)... sat down next to them and played for a minute or two till they walked away (felt like talking to them, but didn't want to be an asshole fan, and I was too high to come up with anything interesting to say... except maybe ask John 5 why Manson kicked him out of the band)... as soon as Rob Zombie got up from his machine and I played it for 20 minutes (I played Zombie's machine!!!) and won $30 off a five dollar bill...

After that I wandered around and gambled and drank for a few hours... some friends told me they had seen Tommy Lee and Tara Reid, and my mom (who was there to see Bon Jovi the next day) said she saw Dave Navarro and Carmen Electra earlier in the evening...

Around 3am, I saw Fred Durst and Jessica Simpson playing blackjack together with her bodyguard and some other chick... (Jessica Simpson is SO dumb, she got a queen and an ace and she said 'hit me')...

Went out to the car to get high around 4:30am, and went back to my room at the MGM at 8:30am...

Woke up at 1:30pm, ate some cold McDonald's breakfast burritos and wandered back to the Hard Rock... Ran into my mom who was in line from the night before for Bon Jovi out in the parking lot...

Around 4pm, went and got two kamikazis and two budweisers from comp coupons I had gotten... wandered back to the parking lot and watched 45-year old women screaming during Bon Jovi's soundcheck (yawn)...

At 5pm, celebrities started walking the red carpet to the VIP section of the Bon Jovi show (saw Fez and Donna from That 70's Show, Jessica Alba, Shannon Elizabeth, Michael Douglas, Matt Lauer, and a few others...), and a bunch of drunk guys and girls up on the balconys kept flashing the crowd...

Thanks to my mother's mid-life crisis obsession over Bon Jovi, I got to go with her to the Bon Jovi show before NIN... which wasn't too bad since it was free (for me) and we got to be front row (thanks to her camping out all night)... granted, it WAS Bon Jovi, but it was still cool to see Bon Jovi opening up for NIN out in the parking lot... hehe

After the show, went to the parking structure to take a quick hit, before racing through 5,000 people to get to The Joint (it was crowded as fuck)...

Finally figured out which way the stupid line was going (since none of The Joint employees seem to understand english)... and got in just in time to hear the last three Dresden Dolls songs, didn't hear much, but I did like what I heard (much better than the clips available on their website)...

NIN came out looking kinda cool dressed up, but was glad when Trent took his shirt off anyway... (speaking of dressed up, I was one of those tourist, club shirt with a chain assholes you guys were talking about, but it was only because I was in Vegas and most places have dress codes and I didn't have time to go get 'gothed-up'... when I saw Manson in Vegas a year or two ago, I got 1/2 gothed up and stood out like a sore-thumb wandering around the Mandalay Bay...)

Had a great spot to view the show, right exactly in the middle, one step up above the bottom floor, so that I had a completely unobstructed view... my set review:

Loved the live bands take on new and old songs... some they seemed to completely have a new take on, while others remained truly classics! It was interesting to see what each band member seemed to add to the formula (although when did that guy from VH1's I Love The 80's and I Love The 90's become NIN's keyboardist...jk ((and when did the keyboardist become a DJ???)) Trent didn't talk much, just 'Thank you' once or twice and naming one or two songs before hand...

Loved the light set-up... loved how it stayed sporadic at first, then seared our eyes with the awesome red lights that made the band look like black silohettes (sp?)... Loved it when the white and multicolored lights nearly blinded the crowd, but I forced my eyes to stay open and bleed with pleasure...

Also, I pulled out a joint of Orange Kush towards the end of The Wretched and fulfilled one of my life-long dreams... smoking a joint in The Joint (how perfect that it was their 10th anniversary)

*The Frail- great intro, crowd was eager

*The Wretched- sounded awesome, one of the best songs off Fragile, especially live...

*You Know What You Are? (new)- sounded great, can't wait for new album, spent most of the song smoking the joint

*March of the Pigs- crowd loved it, high off my ass! Great singing along

*The Line Begins to Blur- sounded cool, was too high at this point, bluriest of the evening...

*Piggy- wasn't looking forward to this song live, but BLEW ME AWAY as one of the best songs of the night... maybe I was just high, but I could've SWORE that mid-way through the song Twiggy (sorry, Jeordie) started playing the bass riff from 'Beautiful People' and I was just thinking "is that just me or what" and right then Trent shot Twiggy a look like "what the fuck are you doing?", maybe he was just off-beat or something... he did look like he kept waiting for his cues and counting beats to himself like some of the songs he was still learning or something...

*Terrible Lie- awesome! the added guitar solo was wierd but cool... Twiggy got really into it...

*Home (new)- very cool, why isn't this on the album? kinda mellow

*Burn- song i was cumming while looking forward to, was kinda laid back live though... except the hard part in the middle.

*Closer- song i was LEAST looking
forward to, blew me the FUCK away, I hate how overplayed and commercial the song has become and how as soon as it started the crowd was like 'yay! the fuck song!' fucking posers, thank god the crowd let Trent sing the fucking song... But the take the live band had on it was AMAZING... I guarantee it's the best live version of that song EVER! The Only Time/Kinda I Want To/Down In It (sorta) middle part was cool to... as industrial as NIN songs are, Trent should medley and melt together songs more...

*Reptile- Strange that I almost didn't recognize it, it sounded completley to me... Seemed to kinda flow into Big Comedown...

*The Big Comedown- Everybody loves this song (i don't know why), I mean it's cool and sounds good live, but not anymore than the others... would have preferred to hear No, You Don't or Where Is Everybody?...

*Gave Up- Completly unexpected, but enjoyed very much... sounded the same as on Broken (which is a GOOD thing)

*The Day the World Went Away- Sounded great... much better live than off Fragile

*With Teeth (new)- Others place it earlier (I know it wasn't between Burn/Closer), and I pretty sure it was either before or after TDTWWA... best of the new songs

*Suck- mind-blowing, crowd went fucking nuts!!! Trent threw the mike into the crowd towards the end... made me feel dirty just listening to Trent sing it...loved it!

*Even Deeper- Another surprise performance (not surprised they played it, just that it sounded great), other than The Wretched, best song they did off Fragile... loved it!

*Wish- Goes with out saying that this was the high point of the entire night... the whole place from front to back went off! The whole place was screaming along too...

*Hurt- (I thought this was before Wish, but I could be wrong) Love the song... not very note-worthy live (unfortunatly), it needed more than Trent and a piano (you can't compete with the live version off Closure), it still was an honor to get to hear it live though, would preferred the crowd to shut up and let Trent sing it though...

*The Hand That Feeds- A million-times better live... Didn't know what to make of this when I first saw the video, but live it seems like a natural progression of NIN's sound, being how it has such a techno-beat, but live it blew me away!

*Head Like a Hole- great way to go out, keyboards were smashed to shit, guitar thrown threw the stacks (well, almost), didn't notice what Twiggy did, and it looked like the drums survived, but I'm not sure...

The crowd went fucking nuts for like ten or fifteen minutes screaming for an encore, but to no avail... The acoustics in the Joint are the best of any venue i've ever been in... i've seen over 120 bands at 40 concerts and this was easily the best i'd ever seen!

Didn't want to pay $50 bucks for a shirt I could buy on the website for $25 or from Hot Topic for $15, so I made my way for the door and saw Leelee Sobieski (again) coming down from the balcony with some girl friend of hers... she wound up being right in front of me the whole way out of the venue... (damn she looked FINE!) I wondered who else was up there other than the people I'd already seen or heard about being there...

I was hoping to get into the Camp Freddy concert afterwards at the Body English inside the Hard Rock (which was essentially the VIP after-party for the whole weekend... and I'm sure that all the celebs were in there, but I was too damn tired to spend an hour talking my way in, so I went back to the MGM and crashed...

Guess I was one of those fucking tourist too...but gee, nin at coachella or nin at the joint, which would you choose? Though the hard rock was WAY too crowded, there was so much silicone there I thought I was back in LA. I can confirm the leelee sighting, but thats it.

I saw NIN 7 times on the fragile tours, 6 spent on the railing after standing in line all day. For what everyone has been saying about the front, that sux. We opted to sleep in and stand in back on the 2nd railing for a change. Guess its part of getting older. From the back it looked pretty calm in front. That being said, the crowd was definetly rocking. I loved all the fist going up during wish, I never saw that before when I was up front.

I saw APC at the joint also a few years, was up front and it sounded great. The sound must get worse towards the back because it was rather muffled and distorted at times were I was. The keys were often drowned out.

I have to disagree with some of the post here. Keeping in mind its early in the tour, the band could definitely tighten up a bit. Trent rocked, I didn't get the feeling he really got into it until terrible lie. Jerome was pretty amazing as usual. he is one of the better drummers on the market today.

I wasn't very impressed with Aaron. Granted he was rather entertaining to watch, but some of his antics were at the expense of the music. Part of that could be blamed on the sound mix I suppose, but it was distracting.

The setlist was pretty nice, though would have loved to hear getting smaller. I used to hate starfuckers during the fragile shows because it was murder on the railing, but it would have been nice hear it. (you cant sell the t-shirt, then not play the song)

It is also the first time I heard Home, and have to say I wont miss it from the CD. But hearing a new song live for the first time is always tough.

One area I was rather disappointed was the lighting. The concept of the LED and the tubes was pretty cool. But the lighting schemes and colors for every old song was virtually the same as it was for the fragile shows. The LED looked cool at times but overall the programming looked like it was rushed together.

Dont get me wrong, I love NIN and the show and I am looking foward to seeing them again next month in Phoenix. But I had to tell it like I saw it.

just felt that i'd leave a little bit of my thoughts on the show and comment on all of the stuff being said about the crowd, the music, etc.

i flew in from texas with my big brother to see the show with my best friend who lives in vegas. our third nails show, my vegas friend's first. we knew we were going to go apesh*t in the pit and had every intention of being beaten like stepchildren in there. all went as planned and the show was f'ing amazing. we were dead center, right up front. burn live? hell yes!! now i can die a happy death. (to the dismay of you so called "goths")

now to comment on the comments from previous posts. first, all of you whiners who are talking crap on being pushed and slammed during a NINE INCH NAILS show need to seriously consider your place in the crowd. if you goto this show expecting to have a single iota of a comfort zone, you need not apply. you'd probably have had a better time with your grandmother at the bon jovi show (which by the way could be heard from the street -- maybe you should've sat in your car with the windows down if you wanted to not get hurt). with that being said, i'm sick and tired of seeing guys bringing girlfriends into the pit only to get pissed off that she's getting the crap kicked out of her. you know what? if you're the idiot thinking you can protect her from the impending onslaught of people jumping around like mad, you both deserve the ass kicking that will no doubt ensue. same goes for you girls in the pit. now while i think you have every right to be there, don't assume for a second that i will discriminate and not put an elbow to your head if my arm happens to fly that way. don't get me wrong, i'll elbow your boyfriend too. additionally, i have a great time in the pit. i know i'm about to get bruised quite heavily, but i welcome it and i always enjoy the show. to put it into a nutshell, you're in the most frantic place you could possible be at during a rock show (and not just any show mind you -- this is nine inch nails), so as the saying goes "if you can't stand the heat -- get the hell outta the kitchen".

as for the music. it was flawless. since i was in the front, i don't guess i had to experience any of the sound bouncing around as was mentioned during one post. everything to me sounded spot on, save the people singing in many different pitches and keys around me. i didn't mind one bit though, i was doing it too.

to sum it all up -- i had one of the best nights of my life at this show because i went knowing what i know and it all just rolled right off my back. i'm assuming if you did the same and didn't expect to have the whole experience handed to you without some bumps, you'd have done the same. sucks to be one of you who is doing nothing but whining -- you're crying about one of the last times you'll ever get to see the band this close again.

For the RECORD - I WAS NOT whining about being bruised and pushed I was bitching about somebody who got there at 6pm weasling their way in front of me. I don't have a problem leaving with bruises, in FACT I prefer it. I just have a problem when somebody spends the entire show trying to get in front of me. Trust me I'm doing 9 shows and I plan on being against the barricade for every one.

Hell, the Frisco pit was 3 times as rough and I enjoyed it SO much more.

That drunk guy pissed me right the fuck off. He was wearing a Downward Spiral t-shirt and he claimed that he bought it during the tour for the album ten years ago. You could obviously tell it was one of the BRAND NEW ones the sell at any run of the mill Hot Topic. They sold it at the show, even. It didn't have any holes or age marks or anything on it. Plus, on top of that, he talked about how he was going to pee on Rezzo. Very sophisticated.

Other than that, spectacular show. The people I waited in line with were extremely cool. And AWITHA TEETHA rocked live.

My friend and I saw Carmen Electra and Dave playing blackjack or something...not too impressed, to be honest. Met Danny Masterson and got his autograph...even though he seemed mildly annoyed.

are we talking about the right drunk guy? the drunk guy i'm talking about is this guy that just screamed at everything, and every person that may walked by. sooooooooo annoying. i was in line with like 3 ladies but they were cool as hell. except there were birds pooping on your heads and that was quite annoying and disgusting. drinks were 9 bucks X_x. oh well what do i expect right? it's fuckin vegas haha.

The Big Come Down was...amazing.

Did anyone else notice how Trent faced away from the audience when he sang the chorus to awitha teetha? Or has this already been noted somewhere else?

Eleven years ago at the Baltimore Arena for the Further Down the Spiral tour, I experienced such frightenening violence that I was cured, I thought forever, of my need to go into the pit. But the energy at this show, at least where I was, wasn't so much violent as it was sexual. It seemed like the people around me were ready to break into an orgy at any moment. At one point, this humping couple (I think it was during Burn or Reptile), knocked me into the guy in front of me. The female of the couple apologizes profusely to me, and the guy they knocked me into turns around and asks, "Are you ok?"

I was floored (thank heavens, figuratively this time). Being asked if I was okay at a Nine Inch Nails show. Because someone bumped into me. But, to me honest, I preferred this.

Fantastic show.

You know what else kinda pissed me off? Trent threw a mic at the end of the show and it hit my friend (who was standing directly in front of me) in the forehead. She fell down in the crowd. I thought she fainted at first.

She quickly grabbed for the mic and held on to it. Luckily no one tried to steal it from her. When the lights went up, we both examined it. (Trent had really smelly breath.) And then when we were in the merch line, security fucking took it away from her. So, not only did she have a bleeding head wound from it, and possibly a mild concussion, but she also had some asshole security guard fucking her over.

Hello... I was sent a link to this site and a few others...and have seen throughout the yrs people writing about me. I just wanted to clear a few things up. I've noticed lots of nasty unecessary remarks geared towards me, and i am just going to attribute that to jealousy.
Anyhow as far as Trent is concerned...hes a friend of mine and has been since 1998. He wasn't trying hard to get away from me in that old photo, he was actually just nervous around me at the time. I flashed the camera (not him) and it just caught him by surprise. Big deal. He has since gotten over that, as you can see in these photos....
This was taken in las vegas... April 30, 2005... he invited me to his show and to come hang out with him backstage - Theres more, but i don't need to divulge every detail of our friendship on this forum. Hes a great guy and i respect what he does as he also respects what i do, and doesn't judge me for it. That takes a very special person....

Also, forgot to mention in my above review that I (as well as several 40-year old Bon Jovi fans) were witness to the recent Tommy Lee/Tara Reid hook-up (Extra! recently interviewed Tommy and he commented on it)... Tommy Lee was seen drunk stumbling around the Hard Rock most of the night of the 29th, and was seen grabbing Tara Reid's ass and going up the elevator with her to his room...

Tommy's quote on Extra!: "She's fun. I just met her"... hehe... rock and roll stars...

Also heard in the last few days that Catherine Zeta-Jones, Kenny G, Tim McGraw, Mark McGrath, and a couple of other celebs were there on the 30th (although, I suppose for Bon Jovi, not NIN!... hehe Kenny G at a NIN show hehe), although I know for a fact that Fred Durst and Leelee Sobieski WERE in the balcony for NIN (and I would assume members of Camp Freddy and Rob Zombie/John 5, but cannot confirm)...

alright, i was able to get a few pictures off of somebody at the show. i know somebody out there has to have more though. come on, share.

I was next to Miss Violent on the barricade---
and I have many many things I could add to what she said about the assholes behind us. A little tip to all the girls behind us---dont wear stilettos into the pit---he's not going to see them anyway!

And if you spend the whole fucking show trying to pry me off the barricade while I try to take pictures---don't fucking ask me for copies after the show!

I will say I was less bruised after this show than Davis---nothing a couple of vicodin couldn't fix...and thank goodness for ventilation!

I thought the show was a lot tighter than the Davis show...the boys had their act together. This show was not only for all of us---it was for all of his contemporaries up in the balcony (and Fred Durst, yuck!) It was saying----I am better than any of you could have ever imagined!

I really appreciated the wide scope of songs that were played. Suck and The Big Comedown stood out for me---and With Teeth was much better here than in Davis.

With all the drama I hd to go through to get to this show---it was well worth all of it. So glad I chose this show over coachella. I saw the cool people from the Davis Show---and made a few new friends as well.

Can't wait for Phoenix. In the fucking front. Contemplating San Diego...

Oh---and while playing Roulette---I won 75 dollars when red # 9 came up my first spin saturday morning!

i drove down to see the show from vancouver, canada and i thought it was an amazing show...i was about 5 people deep in front of aaron (mostly)

i noticed that fat guy from nsync walking out of the concert behind me...lol that was pretty funny

just one general comment though....i think it is a bit much to complain about people trying to move in front of you during a concert....just because you got there hours and hours ahead of everyone doesn't mean you somehow get priority for a space in the crowd......it just means you get a headstart on the rest of us .........a concert starts, people move around, deal with it

oh, and i loved the fact that no one was crowd-surfing...at least on the right side

yea, i love being in the pit, but hate having to stop and hold somebody over my head in the middle, or having a random foot come down from the sky into the top of my head.

also, a recording of the show has finally made it to my hands. i have to do a little bit of work on it, then it will be up for download to all. most likely tomorrow afternoon.

Also - what's the difference between whining, complaining or disliking crowdsurfers and bitching about assholes trying to pry you off the barricade? By your logic "It's a concert, people move around, DEAL WITH IT" right?

P.S. After all is said and done Vegas was easily the worst of all the shows I did. Bleh.

I must agree, that the crowd was rather asshole-ish for this show, not everyone but a few.

my experience was something like this....(for those who care)...

flew from calgary, canada with a buddy. walked to the venue from circus, circus. decided to go early enough so we could get a good spot in line (but we were not early enough...100 poeple or so). so we decided to go eat...of course everything was jam-packed as ther was a bon jovi concert outside. so we walked past all the restaurants (all the pigs, all lined up) and ended up somewhere around where the bj concert was.

then someone from the radio station approached, and asked if i wanted to meen NIN? i was like........................................sure? what's the catch. she said the last 2 people to win the meet n greet never showed....we were like "sweet" but could not believe what we're hearing. needless to say, we watched a 6 song sound check which inluded;
-even deeper
-home
-reptile
-the big comedown
-the frail/the wretched
-wish

then met all of the band....
trent was very nice, seemed quite genuine, must've been in a good mood that day.
jeordie was quiet, and seemed a little slow, but seemed nice
Alessandro was quite introductive as he introduced himself as the new keyboardist
jerome seemed a little scetched out...hmmm
and aaron, was funny. i told him it sounded good and he replied, "ya, didn't suck too much. i mean, dick actually...but not in the band..." ok...?

anyhoo...the show was awesome, nonetheless, wanted to go to body english but was too tired, as we had to catch the early morning bus to coachella.

although i must say, that the hard rock had all the nice looking girls of las vegas, as the strip seemed a G'd out by that hour.

I was told by someone who was a gopher for the coachella valley music festival ( he was in charge of the NIN dressing room) that Trent was in fact dating a stunning black woman that was supposedly a guess model or something.
