and closer this time around is much better than all the other live versions i've heard. the beats are really intense and hit right through the floor. Damn, I was bummed when he didn't jump in during Piggy. When he kept losing his balance I was sure he was going to jump in. That was the only time during the show when I was in the perfect spot where if he would've jumped he would've landed right on top of me. I was that guy with the guitar, I could'nt tell you why they took it back but I can tell you I was fighting for my life to hold on to it. As for Dead Souls, oddly enough, I sang that song all the way to Krispy Kreme that morning, so it was really weird for me when they played it. I had a great time and hung out with some truly awesome people. This was definitely my favorite concert experience so far.

Nope. Muscles has been our nickname for Trent all tour so I decided I HAD to scream it into the mic. I had absolutely NO voice by that point but hopefully it was audible enough. But the ARENA TOUR!!! is not that far away. By the way, did anyone see that douche drum tech fall on his face during the show? It was hilarious. Were the two girls you were with also on the board? They were pretty much the main reason Janey and I were able to stay dead center all night... what a killer show. If only Trent had jumped into the crowd during "piggy'! The tease!!!!

Exactly, one or two more songs and I'm pretty sure I would have passed out. When I walked out I passed a few girls w/EMT's, so thankfully I made the right choice. behind 2 girls and my sister, who's pretty small so it was a good spot. but why were people so bitchy that day? Everybody kept shoving everyone, there was this blond dude that came in from way in the back and smacked everyone so he could be all the way in front. and really added a sour taste to the show.yeah it was when some girl yelled "hey security, this girl's sick"I think my biggest regrets from this concert was not getting the numbers of the people I was hanging out with outside. I would be nice to meet up again with the people that were in the way front of the line, because I sure as hell know I am going to a few of the arena tours.

I agree wholeheartedly with this. i'm really short (5 feet) but fairly sturdy so the main issue with me isn't pain- its having fresh air available- which is in abundance at the rail but not in second row where I was for both SOMA nights. I was sad I asked to get plucked out midway on Tuesday, but when it ceases to be fun anymore (you can't breathe or see anything and you start to feel sick)...you realize your limit and plan your escape during a slower part. It was really shitty how flat the floor was so that even way in the back you can't really see anything. It seemed like people were disgruntled back there. I then stood by a window way in the back, misnomered, "sidestage" area above the level of the crowd. I was really fucking happy they played them. To disagree, I think they are awsome covers. Especially when you listen to the originals. I really dont like the original of Dead Souls at all (sorry immacoffeeholic). Holy shit so at least one other person feels the same way as I do! I was up front for the first three songs with my wife and we were HATING it! I don't even remeber much past the first few seconds of The Frail, after that all hell broke loose as the crowd just started swaying/pushing in every which direction. By the end of the third song we had had enough... I went to enjoy hearing NIN play live and instead was just fighting to stay standing and not hearing a damn thing. (fuck! that's why there are never ending live bootlegs floating around) any way, i had a fucking great time, and was just thrilled that i finally got to see nin live after being obsessed with trent and all his music ever since i was 10 when pretty hate machine came out. especially in such a tiny amazing venue. the whole way home from sd, in the wee hours of tues. morning,i was kicking myself for not getting there earlier. and then i was like fuck it, i'm gonna go back tonight. i got back to la tuesday morning around 5. got on the computer and went straight to ebay, and miraculously found a seller who was going to the show, and he had one ticket left. i paid $80 for it and called him to make arrangements to meet him before the show. i slept for a couple of hours and then headed right back down at 4pm. and i got there just as doors were opening. some how got amazing parking again right in front of that strange, kids resale shop. this time i went right to the front, and stayed there the whole show. i was about 3-4 people back from the rail and right in font of aaron north, close enough to see that he was using an ebow at one point in the show. fuck-me! it was fucking amazing, well worth the trip back down in the middle of rush hour, and all the bruises i still have all over my back and ribs. while i love the new album, it was great to hear him do all those old songs. terrible lie, wish, gave up, suck, etc... and one of my favorites, reptile. and fuck all of you, who called the people who got pulled out pussies, or what ever. it was fucking intense, and there where defiantly moments where i had to stretch my head out of the crowd just to get some air, so i didn't pass out. i felt really bad for the one girl that had to get pulled out that was a little bigger...cuz i'm a fucking big girl too, and i felt for her. that takes some fucking guts to say, " ok, fuck it, i have to get out or im gonna faint" and get your self pulled out in front of a crowd full of people, when you don't weigh 90lbs. but, anyway...it was fucking amazing, and for the most part the crowd was very conscientious of each other. we were all looking out for the people around us, and making sure everyone was ok. the best live show i think i have ever seen.
