Saul Williams was fantastic.

Mr. Self Destruct opener. We also got Please in there and of course EDIETS. Always fun to get songs you haven't heard live yet.

Probably the best of the four NIN shows I've seen over the years simply because I was right up at the barricade in front of Aaron. Thanks Spiral. I really don't feel like doing the whole set list, someone else will.

The small girl next to me...rock on. I thought you would have left sometime during the set.

Amazing fucking show! My first time seeing NIN, and I was not disappointed. TDTWWA and Starfuckers were particularly good. Fuck, everything was good. The crowd energy was somewhat mellow, which was kind of dissapointing because I wanted to go crazy! Just some assholes up front, and a bunch of guys and their girlfriends standing still in the middle it seemed. Pit opened up on the heavier songs, but overall crowd was a bit weak.

Aaron playing upside down on the amp was crazy! The band was very tight, and Trent seemed to be in a good laid back mood. Overall, awesome show!

The setlist is a bit off (missing Closer...maybe more... too tired to look.... it's a 3 hour drive to and from the concert)

I have 210 pics (of both Saul and NIN) that I'll share a portion of later on (after I get some rest)... also, I brought my "mp3 player" along (it has a built in mic) and managed to record some really shitty-sounding audio (I checked out the Saul Williams recording, and it sucks hard because of all the bass.... the NIN sounds almost listenable). I imagine the download size for them are going to be 10-15mb for Saul and 50-70mb for the NIN show (they're really low bitrate, but, assuming the recording circumstances are optimal, actually sounds really good... and I doubt that's the case here).

I'll torrent them later. Along with the pics.

[edit] Yeah, that previous setlist was only missing closer... but this is the full set, start to finish... i took notes song-by-song.

A few more notes... since I was too lazy to log in and can't edit above post...

Closer contained "The Only Time" jam, as always...also, Trent seemed very loose with mic's in the show.... he threw a few into the crowd...and there was a part in Piggy.... in The Wretched, he lost his mic to the crowd, so he ran to the back of the stage to sing the second half of the first chorus of Piggy (he missed the first half of the chorus), meanwhile there was one all new and set up at the front for him. When he finally started singing... he paused.... and did this "OH WHOOOOOOPS!" scream, then slammed the other mic (and stand) off the stage and into the crowd.

He also went into the crowd, like... literally into it, in Piggy. It looked like a security-force-struggle down there to pull him out, and he missed a few lines beacuse of that too.

This all of course made the performance better.

I will admit though that among the other songs, Please sounded awkwardly weak. Like.... dissapointingly "this sounds awkward" weak.

Holy crap that was an amazing show...there was so much energy right up until Please when it seemed like they lost a little...but they got it right back and finished up really strong.

When Trent asked us if we were enjoying ourselves, or having a good time (I can't remember I'm really tired) for the first time he ever asked a crowd that, then gave the apology about postponing the show...that was simply amazing...who is this short haired muscular looking guy that doesn't hide his face anymore...that was just a total change in what I expected from Trent based on what friends have told me about previous tours.

I REALLY liked Only, it has an AMAZING sound to it live...and Starfuckers was great too. VERY cool to be able to sing along with Trent to Hurt...that definitely made my day. I was upset when the show was postponed...but the almost 2 hour set list, the friendly happy Trent, and the fact that since it got changed to a friday means I don't have to go to work in the morning all DEFINITELY made up for the 11 day delay.

I LOVE NIN!!!!!!!!!!! SHOW WAS SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO GOOD! (although still doesnt beat 2001 fragility for me) I was sad that arron didnt throw a guitar out tonight i was waiting up front with the other spiral fans. It was good to hear piggy again and the day the world went away. trent apologized for being sick which was funny. he also whipped a bunch of water bottles into the crowd (as always) he hit me straight in the face with one and my nose busted open. that was fun!!!!!

Fantastic show.

I've already seen the With Teeth arena tour twice in the fall (NYC and Boston) so the highlights of the show were the new songs tonight.

Mr. Self Destruct was a great opener, but the big highlight for me was The Day the World Went Away. Basically, the noise from the end of Besides You in Time segued smoothly into the beginning of TDTWWA. I wasn't even expecting TDTWWA and it's one of my favorite live NIN songs, so I was very pleasantly surprised by it's appearance.

I was also lucky enough to hear Please; ever since I read that Please was being played on this tour, I was crossing my fingers, hoping that I'd get to hear it in Amherst. I lucked out and I was NOT disappointed.

I also thought that Every Day is Exactly the Same sounded great live. I'm not a huge fan of the song on the album, so I was surprised at how much I enjoyed it tonight.

All in all, I was amazed at tonights show. Maybe the fact that I had GA tickets had something to do with it, but this was probably my favorite NIN experience out of all the concerts I've been to. The energy was off the chart, the setlist was great, and the sound quality was flawless.

Oh, and Saul Williams was incredible.

First time posting on this board, first NIN show. Phenomenal!! I was about 20 feet from the stage and the whole experience was incredible.

I've liked Saul Williams for a little over a year now, and his performance didn't disappoint. I wish the crowd had gotten more into it, but crowds usually don't get into opening acts.

Anyway, does anyone know if Saul Williams was in the crowd?

they had to drive 8 hours down to ac so probably had to get right on the bus and go.

This show was incredible. The clips they played during eraser scared the fucking hell out of me...especially the one of the huge fucking jet comming at you. Anyone know the names of the songs Saul Williams played?

Not sure about all, but he did do Grippo, Telegram, Act III Scene 2 (Shakespeare), List of Demands, and Black Stacey.

Unfortunately he cut short some of them, like Telegram.

That show was fucking amazing! Probably one of the best shows I've ever been to. I was right up front and it was an amazing experience. Loved the set list, good mixture of old and new songs. Had to move back from the front after a few songs though, had a broken hand in a cast that dampered it. [Edit: This was my first NIN show!!!]

Started the show in the very front.. . but the audio and crowd wasnt that great there. The crowed was very pushy in the front... so i ended up crowed surfing to get out.... then i found a perfect spot.... The exact middle... All the lightings were fixated on to me...no tall people infont of me...and i could see every thing on the stage... I couldn't see EVERY detail in Trents face anymore but , i was able to enjoy my self much more. Play lots of song i havn't heard live... Mr Self Destruct, piggy, please, the day the word went away, every day is exactly the same, *fuckers... It was my 3rd nin show... First GA nin, this show came 2nd to the may 12th show at the Orpheum(which was my first nin show after my 9 years of listening to NIN) so i almost had a heartattack when i first saw trent...

ALL I HAVE TO SAY IS THANK GOD ALEX IS GONE, JOSH YOU KICK ASS, tho i still like Jerome Dillon better...... : /

why does everyone get so mad when people post criticisms? sometimes people enjoy the show, sometimes they don't. the music is great but other things can occur to make the show less enjoyable. i happen to agree with boognish on a few points, such as how the place with filled with meatheads and fratboys. i could put up with their idiotic mindless discussions before the show but i didn't like that when nine inch nails came on they took more pleasure in trying to beat people up than in the show itself. these guys were literally punching and elbowing people, and not because they were trying to move around but because they enjoyed hurting people. this was my first NIN show where i was actually on the floor and close to the stage and i was very excited to be there but i only lasted nine songs because of those jerks. and i know what all of you will say, what do i expect being on the floor, but these guys were fratboy assholes whos main goal was to ruin everyones experience.

and it was probably the same guys who threw that glowstick at trent. i was thinking the same thing, do these guys want trent to get pissed and stop the show? they probably knew about the lighter incident and were just being dicks because they are stupid fratboys. how can people be so rude?
also, these places are non-smoking events. why can't anyone wait two very fast and entertaining hours without lighting up a fucking cigarette? i'm sick of getting stuck near all these jerks who can't wait to light up and have to blow the smoke in my face. its disgusting and inconsiderate.

okay now for the good part. the show. i think pilgramige is a great opener, almost as good as pinion. they jumped right into mr self destruct which was crazy. the jerks didn't make their way towards me yet so i was able to have fun and enjoy the song. first time hearing it live and i loved it. i don't know who said it doesn't translate well live but i completely disagree. it was a great opener, really got my blood pumping.
a great part of this show was hearing/seeing so many songs that they haven't played live, or at least not during their stops in massachusetts. mr self destruct, the day the world went away, everyday is exactly the same, please, starfuckers, and piggy. i agree with whoever said please was a little weak but it was still pretty good. i have always wanted to see piggy live ever since the downward spiral came out and i finally got to see it tonight. but it was during piggy that i couldn't take anymore shit from the assholes and had to crowd surf my way out of the pit. so i missed some of the song and i was upset about that.

it was my first time crowd surfing, though, and that was fun.

other songs that stood out were sin, terrible lie, and the line begins to blur. i was never a really big fan of sin but last night it was amazing. maybe it was because this time was so close and by that point mr self destruct really got me going. but whatever the reason was, sin was excellent. and i love terrible lie live so it was great being close for that song too. i always loved the line beings to blur live and being close for it too was amazing. but that's when those assholes made their way to where i was and started bashing everyone for the heck of it.

closer was amazing again. i love the red lighting on the teeth for this song. and i say this everytime but the only time breakdown in the middle of the song is genius. it works so well together. plus it gives an old classic a new edge that makes the song 100x better. i can say the same thing for beside you in time. one of my favorite tracks from with teeth translates so well live. the lighting is amazing, especially when the song jumpstarts and everything start getting faster. the whole "intermission" when the curtain goes down during eraser, right where it belongs, and beside you in time is amazing. i remember when i saw it for the first time at the banknorth garden in november i was amazing and sad at the same time because i figured i would never get to see it again. i thought it was only going to be during that part of the tour and they'd do something different next time. but i was pleasantly surprised. plus they added the day the world went away after it all and it worked very well.

one of my favorite songs of the night was only. i remember seeing it for the first time at banknorth garden in november and i thought it was okay. it was kind of awkward live but it was still enjoyable. playing it every show must have helped them improve it because it was amazing last night. or maybe it was because of josh fresse. i probably spelled that wrong. he is an amazing drummer! i never noticed someone being so great at drumming until last night. throughout the show i was commenting on how great he was but then only just kicked my ass. it was amazing and i hope he stays for the summer tour because i want to see only again with him.

the rest of the show i was bitter that those jerks made me leave the front. after only i was pissed because it would have been even better up front close to trent and the band. wish would have been great to see up close. i usually love the hand that feeds live but this time it was a little weak. or maybe it was because i was bitter. it was great to see starfuckers live. i don't understand why nobody likes that song. again, would have been better if i was still right in front of trent.

so the music was great. the show was amazing. the lighting was phenomenal. the people there were horrid. shows can be good. they can be bad. some people have high expectations and so they can be a little let down. unforseen rudeness can cause a show to be less enjoyable. some people are satisfied. sometimes they are just disappointed is all.

Show was overall really good. Is it me, or does it seem like he's almost trying to be a rock band? It seemed like there was a lack of synth action and more guitar, or that some of the synth parts were looped in.

Most songs came out really well, but "Burn" could have been done better. This is about the 5th time I've seen them, and it was one of the best shows as far as energy and the music.

I was in section G with my spiral tickets, row 10. I talked my way into the show with my Canon 20D DSLR. Idk if anyone saw me...
ok, so we're down to the 3rd to last song of the whole show. ive already got about 300 photos taken. after getting my camera through security easily. security finally catches me at the end of the show, and they kick me out into the concourse. theres these 2 security guards pissed at me and yelling at me.... my first 1gb card filled up halfway, that was already hidden in my wallet. my 2nd one was just filling up as they caught me... as they are kicking me out and im walking out of the arena, i slip the 2nd 1gb card into my pocket. afterwards while theyre yelling at me threatening to arrest me, they tell me i have to delete allllll of my photos. i pull out a blank 512mb card, put it in the camera, format it in front of them, and show them that i (supposedly) deleted everything. they inspect the camera, still pissed at me, eventually theyre satisfied. take my battery away, let me back into the show for the end. give me the battery back after the shows over. i got away with bloody murder!!!! they had me caught redhanded, and i pulled the greatest fast one on them, made my night, what an amazing fucking show!!

Did anyone see that go down what happened to me? Made my night, so amazing. the drive from NY was all worth it, without a doubt.
TDTWWWA, my personal fav, was amazing live as it was 2x last year. Hurt was great too, the whole damn show, what an intro... everything, holy crap. These photos I have will blow you away. They will be up soon. Though while I work on them, check out my photos from Madison Square Garden in NYC, and from the TDBanknorth Garden in Boston from last year where I also got my camera into the arena.

Great show all the way around!!! The band sounded incredibly tight and Trent was having fun all night and you could really tell. There was one point were he was laughing and smiling to either Freeze or someone in back of him? Mic stands were attacked all night which was fun to watch.

There was a couple of times Trent made me laugh pretty hard. First was the screw up on Piggy where he thought it was going to be Closer. So he was up on the platform and quickly realized that he screwed up the set list. So he was sitting crouched on the platform for about 30 seconds then jumped off the platform. He walked towards his mic stand and punched his mic stand down and said "WOOPS." So funny! Also at the end of one song trent took his guitar off and swung full force like a baseball bat to hit his mic stand over and he completely wiffed!!!! Haha! That was priceless!!!

Highlights ~
Getting into GA (thanks to my bro and his friends for the wrist bands)during Mr. Self Destruct when I found out that my tickets were right on the side of the stage. Section T is nothing like what that venue claims its location to be. I would have never purchased tickets to be blocked by fucking speakers.
EDIETS, MOTP, Gave Up, Starfuckers killed!!! and HLAH when everyone was going nuts!!
Meeting Rob Sheridan who was right on Jeordie's side of the stage after the show. I asked Rob if they are planning on making a DVD for this tour and he said they "would like to." I told him repeatedly that they have to!!! Also asked him when the new video is coming out and he said he wasn't sure. He was really cool.

This was my first time crowd surfing, and I would like to send a much deserved thank you to the kid high on E for hoisting me up. I also managed to make my way back to my original position which was right up in front, thank god THTF is such a bouncy song.

Also, Saul William's Black Stacy kicked ass. He was just as pumped as trent, and I'll definitely be getting more of his material.

Ditto... dont stereotype people for what they are wearing.... i have been listening to NIN for 10 years now.. and i wasn't in a black band t-shirt.... I got in the GA line at 2:30 i was the 3rd person waiting...and i didn't get to stay in the spot on the floor i deserved because of "ASSHOLES" not "JOCKS" why cant people just take there places on the floor that they get.. rather than showing up at 6:00 then pushing and elbowing people in the faces to take your place on the Floor... i waited 4 hours to be in the front and the "assholes" ruined it!!!!! i left the front during piggy because IT SUCKED IN THE FRONT!!!i wasn't having fun, (it was great and all to see Trent that close up, but the assholes ruined it)

the fact is..... Every concerts has its assholes... Its just that this one had alot more than others.... So dont blame anyone in particular, because half the time they are pushing because they are being pushed into you!...ITS NOT THEIR CHOICE!!!! catch my drift!!!

My personal fave moment of nin's set was suck. Nothing beats aaron playing the solo. 10th with teeth show and that's still my highlight.

I like sauls rants/poems better than his songs.

Wow after driving 5 1/2 hours to get there we missed Saul and ended up sitting in what I dubbed "the old people's section" because no one stood up at all. I stood up when I heard Pilgrimage begin but then was asked to sit back down because the old hippie couple behind me couldn't see. So sadly I obliged. Other than enjoying the intense show sitting down, it was a great performance.

Trent seemed particuarly ummm...loose? His performance wasn't the tightest I'd seen (reading over the first page I'm guessing it's because he lost his mic) but I liked that, because it made the show more real. When they began TDTWWA I had to stand up because out of the now 7 times I've seen NIN I've wanted to hear that song but to no avail. It was just as incredible as I'd hoped. I can't wait for the Austin, TX & Las Vegas shows where I have floor (in TX that is) for the first time since 2001.

I've been a Nine Inch Nails fan since I was 12 (23 now) so I was so fucking stoked to finally see them. Very important music. The fact that Mr. Self Destruct went into Sin and then Terrible Lie and The Line Begins to Blur I felt was ridiculously spoiling. Then to hear righteous classics such as Gave Up, Piggy, Wish, March of the Pigs... FINISHING with Head Like a Hole. Absolutely marvelous show if you grew up a fan and were seeing them for the first time. And how about the fucking IMAGES during Right Where it Belongs and others? Very beautiful and fucked up, just like Nine Inch Nails' music. UHH, I'm blown away.

I do have to say that was an AMAZING show, much MUCH MUCH better than the one in Boston for the sheer fact there were no fucking seats. Anyways, I thought it was really great that there was such a huge age range in the crowd, and getting the old songs and the new songs all at once. Great concert, I hope they come back again soon

I just want to THANK the NIN fans who made this concert the best for my little sister. It was her first real concert, and ever since I became a nin fan, I, shall we say, "raised" her on NIN. The older couple that gave her little pointers on how to survive in the front were SO fucking nice. I couldn't believe that they gave up a water bottle Trent threw and gave it to her. Thanks to the guy in back of her (who we didn't even hang out with before the show) that made sure she was well guarded when the pits opened up. HUGE thanks to him actually.

And yes, that chinese fucking boy who was trying to get to the front was an asshole. Me, my boyfriend, and my sister were right next to the "biter" and actually hung out with him and his cousin while in line. I believe it was his first NIN concert as well.

If you are the biter PM me! You're as cool as fuck and so is your cousin. It's funny i'm hearing all these things about "assholes", I'm so fucking happy that we were surrounded by probably the coolest mother fuckers in the world.

Amazing show I must say. I think he shouldn't have put the screen down for the first song though. I think its more of a "holy fuckn shit" experience when nothing but 5 feet of air is seperating you and THE MAN. Was really hoping for Reptile (thats my lil sis' favorite song) but I can't complain at all.

Oh and fuck that asshole with the glow stick. Did you see how far Trent threw that? He should be in the NFL for that shiza.

Where exactly did this biting take place? I was maybe 25 yards from the front, directly in front of trent. Was that anywhere near it?

ok, so we're down to the 3rd to last song of the whole show. ive already got about 300 photos taken. after getting my camera through security easily. security finally catches me at the end of the show, and they kick me out into the concourse. theres these 2 security guards pissed at me and yelling at me.... my first 1gb card filled up halfway, that was already hidden in my wallet. my 2nd one was just filling up as they caught me... as they are kicking me out and im walking out of the arena, i slip the 2nd 1gb card into my pocket. afterwards while theyre yelling at me threatening to arrest me, they tell me i have to delete allllll of my photos. i pull out a blank 512mb card, put it in the camera, format it in front of them, and show them that i (supposedly) deleted everything. they inspect the camera, still pissed at me, eventually theyre satisfied. take my battery away, let me back into the show for the end. give me the battery back after the shows over. i got away with bloody murder!!!! they had me caught redhanded, and i pulled the greatest fast one on them, made my night, what an amazing fucking show!!

TDTWWWA, my personal fav, was amazing live as it was 2x last year. Hurt was great too, the whole damn show, what an intro... everything, holy crap. These photos I have will blow you away. Very good time. Spiral membership (standard only) is so worth it for me. Flew in the Spiral door, perfect seats for me, that's my benefit, all I need. If I could get a guarentee that NIN would be back to New England in the next 18 months, I might have to renew my membership.

Second show for me, first was Boston in November, so it was nice to have a different set of songs. Having brought my non-concert going spouse, who spent part the time watching the crowd surfers, part of the time trying to maintain his standing position in the row since some pushy chick insisted that she was suppose to be there when clearly there wasn't a place for her, part of the time watching the show - which he did enjoy.

That glow stick came down to the floor above section G, flew over my head, only took about three throws to make it to the stage. And yes, if Trent was the one who threw it back, nice toss. From my vantage point, I think it made it back to the sound board.

As for songs, my personal favorites: The Wretched, Eraser,
Songs I missed (but, what can you do, live): Love Is Not Enough, Dead Souls and grrrrrrrrr, could have had, should have had, stole it: The Big Come Down.

Finally thanks and a question: To the guys in row 9, who let me out of the row during Hurt, so polite. Thanks. Too much water, gotta go gotta go. Question: early on, a kid walked out from the front of GA, all bloodied on the right side of his head. Didn't look pretty. Anyone up front know what happened? Doesn't have anything to do with this biting I've read further up the thread about?

First NIN concert. I was in the stands, section W, but the arena wasn't too big so we still had a decent view of the stage and the band. After driving through rush-hour traffic from Boston, it was definitely worth all the time spent in the car to get there.

It was AMAZING. I had a great time. Highlights were the time when Trent was in the crowd singing Piggy. To hear the audience singing alongside Trent through the speakers made the experience much more real. The whole atmosphere was very laid back and carefree. Other highlights were Josh Freese's amazing drum solo during Piggy. I love listening to the recording but watching him go live--wow. Trent changed up The Frail which I appreciated, and also Aaron's guitar riffs in the Wretched had their own spin.

The ending climax in the middle section with the projecting screen was unbelievable. So much buildup, musically and visually.

I couldn't see much of Alessandro, with the smoke and lights and all. Jeordie would get the crowd clapping and did a good job with that. Aaron did really cool nunchuk-like moves with his guitar--I can't believe he managed to still play while doing that.

Wish I could've heard Dead Souls and Something I Can Never Have -- but we were definitely spoiled with the setlist. Lots of great songs. I cant wait to see them again!

Yeah, I was in the GA next to the kid that ended up all bloody for a little while before making my (slow) way to the front of the stage through the masses. For starters, he was tripping on something during Saul Williams and ended up puking on himself a little bit right before NiN came on. Then, when NiN DID come on he wen berserk, flailing around and nailling people, generally being a drugged up douche. Finally he crossed the line when he tried to grab the boob of the girl in front of me. He reached for her and she went crazy on him. That's how he got the gash. Funniest part of this? When security had pulled her off of him and she just says "I'm cool, I'm cool" and then the second they let her go, tries to go at him again.

But yeah, that aside? One of the best if not the best concert I've been to. The crowd, the band, the show just had that perfect energy that made me enjoy it from start to finish. Things got a little nuts in the pit, but it was still fun.

Lots of firsts:

This was my first show since Reno, and it couldn't have been more perfect. I was on the rail in front of Trent with the best group of people ever.

Also, this was the first time I saw Mr. Self Destruct and Please live. It was amazing. Mr. Self Destruct, however, kicks even more ass without the curtain (as in AC).

Oh, and I first said this after the Reno show, and it still holds true: Josh Freese owns Starfuckers. I have a new love for that song now (live, anyways).

Also, this was my first time seeing Saul Williams. He is so damn good. I can't tell you how impressed I am with him.

Last, the stage was really high (too high, imo), so there was a big gap between the equipment under the stage and the stage itself. We could see through to the other side as the band was coming out and going in the backstage area. That was kind of cool.

Great show, though I think I was more impressed back on '00 when I saw them in Hartford. But in no way am I complaining. But, Am I like the only person (other than a couple of my friends) that heard Trent like jamming on help me i am in hell, and a tune from the fragile which I'm quite certain was the mark has been made, during TDTWWA, just before the 'wall os noise' ending? I didn't dream it, others heard it I swear. heh.

Fucking amazing show- my first ever (my sister, now_im_nothing, took me ) and it blew me away. I was so happy they opened with pilgrimage and Mr.Self Destruct, my two favorite songs.

I was right up in front, right in front of Aaron. That dick of a kid that was crushing that girl was behind me and slightly to the right, and kept elbowing me in the back, so I ended up raking his shin with the side of my foot and elbowing him in the ribs a couple times. That kid was such a cunt, ugh... same with the glowstick dickwad, that shit just isn't cool. The biter kid was actually pretty cool, I chilled out with him and his cuz after the show and he was wicked mellow and laid-back.

Set-wise I couldn't have asked for more, all of my favorites that I could scream to, which is just awesome to do. They flowed into one another pretty nicely, and they stilll kept your blood flowing.

Awesome people for the mostpart, which added to a kickass show... NIN fans are the greatest ^_^ I'm definitely going to be seeing more of them, and I've definitely been spoiled when it comes to concerts.... I honestly can't see any other band playing to the height that NIN did.

And a thanks to all the people who made my first REAL concert awesome- everyone in the Spiral line, everyone around us in the front (esPECIALLY the older couple who'd been traveling around to NIN shows- you guys kick ASS!!!) and everyone who added to an awesome show.

Good show. Great setlist. Saul Williams only played for 25 minutes, I was very disappointed with that... though he was awesome while he was on. Aaron's energy was intense, not so sure about the rest of the guys though... Trent said something like "How's everyone doing tonight?" then paused, "I don't think I've ever asked that before..." then apologized for the delay, etc. It was a good show, but it certainly didn't feel (to me) like a NIN show should. The greatest crowd reaction was during The Hand That Feeds, and IMHO there's something wrong with that...

I miss Danny, Charlie, Robin and Jerome.

I thought the greatest reaction came from starfuckers...EVERYONE where I was was going insane for that song...when they started playing it I could just feel the whole building start shaking...nothing wrong with people enjoying the new stuff as much as the old though...Reznor is ONE man who hasn't sold out his style...he's changed and evolved...but he's one of very very few who 17 years later still has the same passion in his music...I think with teeth feels more like pretty hate machine than anything else that came in between.

I would have to agree. I also think people are really quick to judge With Teeth and say it sucks. For instance, a guy I work with (also an old school NIN fan) hated With Teeth. Until I let him borrow my copy of it, I pointed out the highlights. He came back with it the next day and said "man, this album is unfuckingbelievable." There is not one album that I absolutely hated. Trent has always been one to change his format slightly but not to a point where you ask yourself if it's nin that you're hearing.

My favorite performance was for "Beside You In Time" I love that song and the way he combined the screen with the lights and projector onto the "With Teeth lighting fixtures" was purely awesome. I must say I am SO happy he's not like KISS and have flames shooting from the stage and all that. The set is simply Nine Inch Nails and that's everything I want in a concert.
