Awesome show, as good if not better than the show in Montreal!
Here's the setlist and I'm pretty sure about the order:

1. Pilgrimage
2. Mr. Self Destruct
3. Sin
4. Terrible Lie
5. The Line Begins to Blur
6. March of the Pigs
7. The Frail
8. The Wretched
9. Closer
10. Burn
11. Gave up
12. Eraser
13. Right Wher it Belongs
14. Besides you in Time
15. Last
16. Only
17. Please
18. Reptile
19. Suck
20. Hurt
21. Head Like a Hole

Trent was still sick with the flu and it showed in his voice. He also couldn't manage to sing all the lyrics all the time. But he explained himself and he said he felt like shit so all is forgiven. That also explains the somewhat shorter setlist. Hey but as I said great show, et quel show pour une première fois à Québec!!!

Trent is still sick. He was wearing a scarf and drinking LOTS of water. When he talked to us a bit we could also hear it... But still he gave a pretty good performance!!! I enjoyed the gig. Not as much as the Montreal one. But still! It was about 90 minutes long. All in one go, no encore. I'll have a bigger review, pics and who knows maybe some audio later on. My ears are buzzing...

Thanks to Trent for not postponing the gig!!!!!! Get well soon!!!
set list:
pilgrimage
mr self destruct
sin
terrible lie
march of the pigs
closer/only time
the frail
the wretched
burn
the line begins to blur
eraser
right were it belongs
gave up
wish
Only
suck
hurt
head like a hole

(I just got back from the show and I'm still pretty excited so some songs might be missing from the list!)

The show was great even if Trent still had a soar throat. It was really nice of him to apologize for his uneven voice.

Saul Williams gave a mind blowing show but got a luke warm reception which was uncalled for. He was cool enough to speak to us in french, so that rocked.

By the way it's pretty cool that you took the time to translate that thing in french. Thanks!
swarthy wrote:did they fucking play LAST???

goddamn it

I need to see that, with teeth, and a couple others

the minnesota show rocked but there were no suprises at all really

next time maybe

They didn't play *Last*.

Vive NIN!!

Amazing show, but a little short. For the With Teeth tour, I would have like some more songs from it... no Love is not enough, no The hand that feeds... However, amazing show from a visual and audio point of view! Even if Trent was still sick, I had a fuckin' great night. NIN rocks!

peace
Quebec City is probably the most northward city NIN have ever played in (not a cool place to cure a sore throat to say the least!)

When you await a group that much you can easily be disapointed, but I was NOT, you could see from the start that the group had worked really hard to make an excellent choreographic show.

The setlist:

Mr. Self Destruct
Sin
Terrible Lie
The Line Begins to Blur
March of the Pigs
The Frail/The Wretched
Closer
Burn
Gave up
Eraser
Right Where it Belongs
Beside you in Time
Last
Only
Please
Reptile
Suck
Hurt
Head Like a Hole

**They didn't play The Hand that feeds (big surprise!)
*Reznor said that he hated being sick because he had either to cancel the show and everyone was pissed or do a show anyway and fuck the sickness.
* The guitarist (Aaron North, is that right?) is really pulling great show, he jumped (dived would be more correct )in the crowd like I have never seen in a show.

Méchante belle soirée!

Yeah, I don't remember hearing Last either (in fact I don't remember how this song sounds like anyway) but was there a song between byintime and only, it seems to me that there was.

or perhaps not, we're too tired to think I guess and the point is that the show was great.

Good night and feel free to make a setlist!

Trent is going to be sick for two weeks or so. I have the same thing right now and have talked to others that have had it. The worst is the first couple of days. Now I and likely Trent are both just congested and not feeling quite right. The congestion and mucus would certainly make it tougher for him to sing.
The show was awesome, i enjoyed seeing NIN for the second time this year.

Well, Trent was great, when you think that he was ill, he managed to do a geat performance, thank you to him.
I loved the *jump in the crowd thing* during the third song i guess.

I was afraid to go in the crowd but thank god i did. Me and my friend had a great time. I have to say i was disappointed by the crowd, i went to lots of concerts and it was not as Plate as it was this time. (plate : boring) ... I was alone jumping and the girls near me were like: WTF ? lol I was the weird one who was jumping in a NIN concert. If you dont want people to touch you or push you, go to the seats !!! How sad is that.

But well i made my thing and i enjoyed 100% the show. A friend told me that in Europe, the crowd is more violent than in USA ou canada, well now i believe her.

Just got back in to the hotel I'm staying at here in Quebec City. It's quite a lovely city, my first time here. Anyhow: the show was a unique NIN experience, Trent apologized.. his voice was noticeably thin and restrained, but that did not usually interfere with the songs. The band was there to back him up, it was a good show. Aaron North jumped right in my face, and we helped him back towards the stage... AMAZING! I think it was in Terrible Lie. More on this later ... off to sleep.

There was a lot of action front/centre. And who cares what the girls thought? If you felt like moving I sure hope you did so!!!! :P
I remember hearing last, yeah! And reptile, nice. A very great show and I just woke up and I have the worst flu I ever have. How Trent manage to perferm like that with this kind of .... Great show! I expected more pplz in the crowd, but that is fine for me, I had more place. Soul William performance was great to.
Master of the Ninth Arch
Not as good as Montreal but still a very nice show.

You knew right away that Trent was still very sick. His voice was shaky and he couldn't push as hard. After "Wish", he explained the situation.
Josh Freese is one badass drummer. Really tight.

Crowd as ok but the Montreal crowd was 10x better.
One great show!

Aaron North is one helluva freakshow alone! He is a fantastic guitar player (always tight), as well as Josh Freese on the drums.

Trent was sure still sick, but even if he was pretty much washed up after three or four songs, he gave all he got and it was nice to see.

Maybe not as good as Montreal gig (I was on the floor), but still one of best show I've ever seen.

And two NIN shows within a couple of months, I couldn't ask for more!
'This isn't meant to last. This is for right now...'

Did they really play that? I have seen Nails several times on each tour since The Downward Spiral and I have never got to hear that song live.
You guys are so lucky if so.....

I totally agree, the girls in the front were so stupid. At one point I said sternly "Listen, I can`t help that 1000 people are pushing me from behind. You fucking idiot you are front row at a concert."

A NINE INCH NAILS concert at that ...

What was I suppose to do, stand there and not jump around and scream my ass off?

Anyway, once again snuck back stage :D, I don`t know if anyone else got to see the stage setup up from the back (being escorted out by security) I got a great view of the shit tons of gear they were using.

It was crazy the amount of gear they had, so many LCD monitors and rack mounts, there were about 3-5 huge multitrack boards all around the arena.

At first I was kind of sad, I thought the show really downgraded from when I saw them in Toronto (Fragility tour 2000). I honestly was really pumped for this and was kind of like bla. So many people have been hyping up the new live set , and with the new line up I was really looking forward to it!

Are you sure they played last??? hahaha, I think you guys are confused! Last was not played at this show. Thats crazy that I don`t remember them playing it!

I really didn`t give a shit that I was there up until they started to play burn. Fuck they really got it down, I was so pleasantly surprised, the show really took off after that point. Prior to this it just kind of felt like the same set list as the live CD.

Burn and up the show was good! No encore but they are all very sick. I was talking to the girl that runs the spiral membership club and she was telling me how sick they were feeling.

ALSO she informed me that the reason why they havn`t been doing the extra spiral meet and great stuff before shows is because Trent is recording right now : )

The good
-BURN, REPTILE, and more so PLEASE!
-Trent looks way better then even... as gay as that sounds ;)
-It sounded 5 times better then the Fragility tour, the quality of the songs were top notch, was very pleased
-Loved how they mixed the oldschool show with the newschool show (Projection on the curtains) and yeah I really loved how they blocked us off from the band half way into the show.
-I`m glad no one kicked my ass when I started to wave money at the band during ONLY. The guitarist and Keyboard player saw me, they didn`t seem to happy :P I was on the gates directly in front of them so they got a good look at me.
-They played the GOOD songs off of with teeth.

The bad
- By the 3rd song I felt like I was at a bowling alley. The lights and fog machines were so sub par I couldn`t believe how down graded it was.
I spoke to soon, later on in the show they had a few tricks lined up that made everything seem cool. Overall I really thought the stage set up was more WWF then Nine Inch Nails.
- The encore was Remain in Light, if only David Bryne was really there!
- Merch was fucking exspensive!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 65 dollars for a long sleeve shirt. 75 dollars for a hoody. Kind of hard to sell me that ANTI BUSH MONEY IS BAD gimmick when your merch is fucking over priced, and your 5 tour busses were left on all day to keep the inside warm.
Lets not forget all the empty boxes of COKE ZERO that were left outside of the tour busses.

THATS MY REVIEWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW

Hum, yewah I remember now, it wasn't "Last" it was "Wish", I think that I was expecting so much to see "Last" that I though I've heard it...

Incredible show !

The setist was awesome, but i loved the Montreal show a little bit more because it was the first time i saw them and the crowd was bigger and the setlist a little bit longer. Trent was really sick but still delivered a great performance.

But yesterday night was really amazing too ! The setlist was more oldschool than the one in Montreal. A lot less of With Teeth songs than usual. I'm so glad they played Mr Self-Destruct and Reptile (really LOUD) !

The crowd was small but really loud and energetic. The band seemed to enjoy it. Trent apologized because he was still really sick, he thanked us to coming out and said that we are a kickass audience right before the beging of Hurt. Oh and Aaron is really a crazy motherfucker ! He was out of control, he jumped in the crowd during March of The Pig and beat the crap out of his guitar at the end.

Saul Williams really surprised me. He have a awesome stage presence and a lot of charisma. I really enjoyed his set. He played for aproximatively 30 minutes.

So that was my review, does somebody have some pics of the show ? Thank you

Critique
Nine Inch Nails conquiert dans l'adversité

Lavoie, Kathleen

Tu vien de faire ma semaine =)
I kind of enjoyed the show. The music was great and I really liked the light effects. But I know the singer was sick and I wish he postponed the show. Maybe I sound harsh, but the tickets are very expensive. I want a great show or nothing at all. You can hate me now!
Amazing show considering Trent was ill. Aaron North is probley the best guitar player NIN has ever had, very entertaining guy. I thought the crowd was much more active then the Montreal show. All in all it was a great show. Get well Trent.
Did any of you know what happened to a guy who fell hard from body surfing to straight on his head on the concrete floor. Nothing broke the fall, he landed right on his head and looked like he twisted his neck. Someone grabbed him and got him out, but he was not walking! And moving someone who might have a broken neck is so dangeorous, but then again the crowed could have steped on him. Any news on him?
Awsome show.
I saw them in Australia in August 2005 and the lighting and visuals were nothing like what I saw in Quebec.
So cool they came despite illness.

J'ai enregistré le show sur MINI DV, ki éventuellement va etre sur DVD :)
MALADE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
JE TAIME!!!!!!!!!!!
tu vas mettre sa sur demonoid????
I feel so lucky that Trent did the show despite his illness 'cuz my friends and I had taken 2 days off for our trip.

To me, the show was better than Montreal and the crowd was awesome. People were very nice on the floor and I had a great time watching the show in front of Jordie.

I felt like all of the band was compensating by getting more involved in the show. I particularly liked when Trent sang Closer on a stool or during Please and Burn when Jordie was asking people to clap hands or scream.

THANK YOU TRENT FOR THIS GREAT TIME!!!! You should do ''shitty shows'' more often!!!

BTW Rebelle, YOU ROCK! I can't wait to hear your bootleg!

i replied, but it got erased. damn. thanks for the wicked show, NIN, even though you were sick. i see they cancelled ottawa, so we were lucky to take in the show in qc, which was excellent, even though trent said he felt like shit. the small crowd was excited, the music was naturally way up to par, and i had a great time. good thing i got the day off from work. i came back to montreal the next day and i got dropped off directly at work. if anyone has video footage of the show, i'd love to have it. just let me know how that kind of thing works, and if you please, i would love to have it. take care, everyone, and trent, get well soon. the rest of the tour cities really want to see you. joey

Aaron entertainait vraiment pour 2 avec ses stepettes de long en large de la scène pis son plongeon dans la foule sur "March of the Pigs"

BTW, for anyone interrested, there was no Soundcheck for privileged f**kers like me, but we got to hear it from the inside and they played 3 songs : PIGGY, Reptile and Please. I was looking forward to Piggy, but it was left out :(

thx a lot Rebelle!! and i hope that the one with de video version will do the same!
Bricklayer
Thanks for the audio Rebelle, sounds great. i'm pretty stoked for the possibility of a video. btw, i think this crowd fuckin rocked so thanks to all of you who screamed your loudest along with me, i'm pretty sure Trent knew how much fun we were havin. hearing piggy from the lobby was a bit of a tease, but at least we heard it. overall, the set may have been all of 3 songs short (i was hopin for the day the world went away) and Trent may have been sick but it was still easily one of the best shows i've ever seen.
Master Traveler
I want a video too! But at least while waiting we have something... ;)
