Great show! Doesn't compare to the Ft. Wayne show, but it was pretty badass.

Does anyone know why Trent said, "This is fucking great" toward the beginning of the show? I think it was during Terrible Lie. My sister said they sounded "off," but I don't know about that.

I'll have a more complete "Yay! This is great!" review later. Bed now.

I just got back to Orlando. It only took me about 7 hours. The show was awesome. More to come later. I have to go teach 3rd grade for like 6 hours now.

Ah the concert was fantastic. Nice to seem them mix it up a bit than from the usual tour set-lists. Trent jumped half of his body into the crowd during "Piggy" and let the crowd sing along. Also about what he said during the start of the show, I thought it was something like "fix this shit", but anyway. The set-list for the show was..

First off I must say Saul Williams was great. Also whoever that was on keyboard with him was also really good. I was really blown away by that. From the start I was into it and also I'm glad that everyone else was good to Saul since I hear we have a reputation of booing off the first act in Pensacola. I was hoping that his set would be longer then 30 minutes.

I thought it was was funny where during piggy Trent had the mic for the fans and all you could hear is "I love you trent" and someone saying "Get off of me".

Trent gave a little speach between Only and Every day. where he said that during only all he could think about was that he never had thank his crew so he wanted to do that, he thanked saul williams and he thanked us for being good to saul williams, and he thanked us for showing up and being a good crowd (or something like that). Then he talked about how his life a few years back was really bad and how he thought of music as shitty but then looking out at the crowd he feels really good. Then he said "Now we're going to do a depressing song." (thats the best I can remember it).

I must say the show was great and I am glad I went to this. If anyone who thinks with teeth sucks they should listen to it live and it will change your opinion.

One thing I want to metion is the fact of how many 50-60 year olds were there and out of place. The ones next to me were wearing braves sweaters and hawaiian t-shirts. I just thought it was funny to see them there.

I thought that is what he said or "This is fucking gay" but I'm sure it wasn't that.

Pictures anyone? I was told they were going to take our cameras at the door but that wasn't exactly the case so I didn't bring mine in Should have, I would have gotten awesome pictures.

I agree with shadowmoses, he said something like "fix this...", I think something was going on with his mic.


So, I had a fabulous time. I got there around 7:00 p.m. and still managed to walk up to where my little bro was standing in the crowd easily. He arrived around 2:00 p.m. that day. He was a bit plucked by that. Saul Williams was great. I really liked the extra heavy beat that he put with the songs and how he would cut the sound and just do his thing on the mic...it added emphasis to parts of his songs and I thought it was cool. At some point, the d.j.'s mic kept falling over. A crew member came out a fixed it, he was rewarded with an enthusiastic hug from the d.j. in thanks.

During the break someone about 4 people behind me said something about my home-made shirts. I posted them on here and said if you see me give me a shout. I thought this girl was just saying that she liked them, I didn't realize that she was from ETS. So, I have to give a shout out to the blonde girl from ETS who said "she reads it but doesn't post" (All this according to my sis who could hear her). Why don't you post? You should! Don't be shy. It was cool seeing an ETS-er there, thanks for saying hello and I'm sorry I couldn't hear you.

NIN kicked so much ass. I stayed up front for about three songs before I gave it up and went to the back. In Pensacola, the back of the crowd is only around 75-100 feet away from the front of the stage. I could see much better, had room, and could jump around/dance with out anyone bothering me or me bothering them. I am so happy that we got 'Reptile'. That is a hell of a good song that sounds amazingly better live than it does on c.d.. 'Right Where It Belongs' and 'Beside You in Time' and 'Everyday is Exactly the Same' were beautiful. I look forward to hearing them again. This tour has given me a whole new appreciation for 'Burn', that weird voice manipulation that Joerdie does when he sings "I never was a part of you", was one of my favorite moments. Trent did do a small speech which I thought was really nice because he's usually not chatty with the crowd. He thanked us for showing how much "it matters" and for our response to Saul.

Aaron was doing his crazy moves, which made me so happy. He is great to watch onstage. I even got to see him do that feet-in-the-air move on his amp that everyone talks about. The lights were very nice. I liked the use of the blue flames with the general blue and teal washes for 'Burn'. That looked really nice. And, of course, the red lighting during 'Closer' is always awesome...especially with Trent beginning the song on top of...damn, I'm not sure if it's instruments or just road cases, but there is a picture of it on nin.com from another show. I guess he's going to be doing that for a while. I liked it.

Finally, just want to mention that it's not nice to burn somone with a cigarette. I'm not the one with the burning stick, so it's not my job to ensure that it doesn't touch someone. So, to the asshole who got the whole side of my arm and was really too drunk to appreciate the shittiness of his actions...yeah, I was thinking about punching you in the face. It's too bad that I realized you would be too drunk to feel it or I would have done it...and you stunk, so that was two strikes against you.

Great show, I had a hell of a good time. I saw some interesting folks while I was there including those people in their 50's-60's that were mentioned before in another post. I was diggin' the guy rocking a mullet sitting in the seats to the left of the stage. His girlfriend/wife also had a really awe inspiring hair disaster going on...his was one of...three that I think I saw. But as much as the crowd varied in age and appearance, everyone was into it and screaming their heads off. It was one of the louder concerts that I have been to in a while. I can't wait for the next time.

I totally got into Saul Williams. Great beats, heavy bass. Nice...
NIN was truly incredible. Loved Burn and Dead Souls, among others.
Jeordie was giftedly amazing, enjoyed watching him perform throughout the night. And it wasn't just him, the whole band was on. The crowd gave a good vibe. The band feed on it.

I was sitting in section 115 next to an older gentleman with a mustache - he sat during the entire concert, I take it he's not a NIN fan, just there to keep an eye on his two teenage daughters, who were gleefully screaming all the explicit lyrics ("I wanna f*** you like an animal...") anyway. My buddy Mark sitting on the other side of me was wearing an Atlanta Braves jersey but is only in his early 40s, I'm not sure if he's the older guy the previous poster was referring to but if so he's not that old.

The traffic after the concert was not bad, but after I got home was very saddened to see that someone had keyed my car while it was parked in the public parking lot across from the Pensacola Civic Center during the show. So that pretty much ruined the whole experience for me and I doubt I will go back and see any more NIN concerts from now on as a result.

Great show!! It was awesome seeing them in Miami and Pensacola back to back. And both pits were into it. I was bummed out that they didnt play any Fragile songs but me getting the chance to rub Trent's head when he somewhat jumped in for Piggy made up for it. I dont know if anyone noticed, but during SICNH this guy beside me kept yelling at him to "Sing it with more fucking meaning Trent" and after a few of these Trent managed to quickly slip in "Fuck You" to him without skipping any of the song's lyrics. That was classic. During hurt this girl and guy kept saying idiodic shit like I want to finger your asshole. Hey if anyone can tell me, wasnt that the DJ with Saul Williams that crowdsurfed at the end?

dunno if he was crowd surfing, but he was definitly down in the pit. saw him when the lights came back on

Yea I was in row M with you. The braves guy was pretty cool. I was the guy in the blue shirt on the other side of those girls (My brother has a picture of that guy if you want it). I must know, what was happening when that guy in the green shirt above us was getting yelled at by the 2 people below us (I think during closer). Im guessing he spilled beer on them or something and then your friend started shaking the guys hand which I thought was pretty cool so nothing would happen.

Personally I thought the concert was amazing! I have never heard SICNH live before and now I really have a better love for that song. I thought the crowd lost energy pretty early on though. I was in the seats up in section 103 and I just didn't see much movement for the most part, I dunno, maybe I am blind. But I thought the band did an amazing job and it was so nice to see them again. I really really love the Eraser, RWIB, BYIT screen part.... it was my third time seeing that and from where I was I had an excellent view of the screens this time and they really moved me... Trent's an amazing artist. The visuals bring out the songs in ways I never imagined. All in all, it was a fucking awesome show... After every NIN show I go to, I feel like I am a reborn fan. It's beautiful.

Review of last nights show and some pictures from last night as well.

AMAZING show. Yay.

It was my first time on the floor at a concert and it was not so rough that I had any trouble, which was nice. I was really close to the stage, only about 3 people in front of me by the last few songs.

In the beginning, his words were 'Someone fix this fucking thing.' And right before MOTP, he said something like "Not bad... " followed by some stuff I couldn't make out. I can't remember all of the specifics of his speech after 'Only'. Could someone please paraphrase?

Loved the energy, and heard all of the songs I wanted. Was suprised to hear Dead Souls... Personal favorites were 'Reptile', 'Piggy', 'Everyday is Exactly the Same', 'Only'.... Ah, fuck it. I loved them all. ^_^

Enjoyed dancing with the couple during 'Closer', you guys were cool. And to the petite blonde I was next to for the last couple of songs... you're one brave chick, that was great.

... *sigh* I'm still so happy.

Saul Williams kicked ass too. I know he played 'Grippo' and 'List of Demands'... didn't know the title of all of the songs. I think we even got a recitation of 'Said the Shotgun to the Head'. Only complaint would be that he didn't play longer.

There was some racist asshole behind me shouting stuff like 'We can't see you, cuz you're so black.' Ugh.

But overall I thought the crowd recieved him well.

I didn't think they'd play SICNH or Dead Souls either. When they opened with Pilgrimage (which I think is a really awesome change from Pinion) I got the feeling they'd do Mr. Self Destruct. But that didn't make it any less kickass. It brought the energy up immediately.

Yeah I wasn't really paying attention to the intro so I just assumed it was "Pinion" since that's what they usually open with.

Here's my blog that i wrote on my laptop like 10 minutes after the show:

so im in vinnies (ninety9ine).. on I-110 aproachign I-10.. we just left the nine inch nails show... its 11pm central time.. that makes it 12am eastern time.. we're drivign straigth back to orlando. the show was unbeleivable.. the setlist was awesome.. trent jumped into the crowd during piggy and i grabbed his damn arm and rubbed his shaved head.. lol.. it was kinda sureal. even the opening act, saul williams, was pretty awesome. we left orlando at around 2:30pm in orlando.. stopped for gas in this little town before tallahasse.. those kind of towns scare me.. vinnie took a crap at wallmart there.. then we drove into tally to grab some pizza.. we were starving.. thats where my prior post was made.. we had to get on and off I-10 twice to find the right street in tally... we drove to some exit like 20 miles from destin to get gas and the ngot to pensacola.. we drove down to the venue..and tried to find a hotel..since it was right on the water the hotel was like 140 a night... fuck that...so we drove back towards i-10 and got a hotel for 50 bucks a night. i showered and we went out to bennegins.. except it was closed..so we went to this random sportsbar had 3 beers, got drunk... then went to the hotel to crash... we woke up and checked out at 12.. and drove into alabama for no reason, except to say we went to alabama.. once we got into alabama there werent any exits for like 30 miles.. so finally we get back to pensacola and head over 2 bridges to get to the beach.. we met some cool girls there and some random dude, who i now have to add on mysapce lol.. so after soem drinking on the beach we went back to the venue and vinnie tried to scalp a ticket.. didnt work.. so went into the show.. damn it was awesome... oh well... our journey home begins. i wont beable to publish this until i get internet access.. bye.


Ok so yah.. the show was unbeleivable.. 3rd show i've seen now. I don't know if this or the atlanta club show was better.. it's a tossup.. atlanta was a little closer to the stage.. but in pensacola trent jumped into the crowd and we got to sing with him and grab him lol. so.. good times at both shows.. it was worth the drive.. at first we were doubtful if we should have driven all that way only to have to drive right back after the show.. oh it was totally worth it.. nin is the shit.

first off what a great show, i have never seen NIN live and i will never forget it. i was in section 115 also, great seats but next time i will be on the ground... I wished they would have played something from The Fragile, but oh well.

Thanks for the pictures! I would love some more! I was front and center, my 3rd time seeing NIN and just like someone said earlier I always feel like a reborn NIn fan (not that I needed any convincing). Trent seemed more sexual, he screamed more, gritted his teeth and threw the microphone stand around. It was all for good show. My favorite thing is when he actually spoke to us since he NEVER talk during the concert, usually making him seem even more godlike. Usually he shows up out of nowhere plays with passion and then leaves. I just can't get enough, I can't stop looking at him feeling mesmerized, I can't believe how well he sings, how great his lyrics are and how he always makes me feel like crying everytime I see him live.

NIN is the only band to me. Absolutly amazing. I can't wait to see them again on 6/6/6 in Birmningham!

That would be me! Sorry you couldn't hear me so well. After reading this forum for so long, it was exciting to actually see someone just how they said it would be.

NiN was incredible. I have to say that the Pensacola Civic Center is a lot smaller that I thought it would be. I never realized that Jacksonville's Arena was that much bigger. But it made for the most intimate feel I've experinced at a NiN show (this was my 5th time).

We were really tired becauae we went to the Global Gathing ( we were wearing our shirts from there) in Miami, and then to Pensacola, and we took our 11 year old son who loves NiN to both. He said it was the best Spring Break ever. If anyone saw me there, I was the blonde girl in a blue plaid skirt and black tights, staning at the back of the floor...teaching my son to mosh.

This weekend, seeing NiN twice, was amaizing. And we are going to Ultra Fest in Miami Friday.

This is my first post...I guess I am a little excited. I haven't posted to a forum in a while.

Was anyone else in seats? Did your section of the crowd suck as much as mine? There was a couple in front of me that decided grinding was the thang to do the whole concert. Ever seen someone grind to Hurt? No? I have. Oh, and there were several groups of people randomly taking other peoples' seats. I've seen this before – it is a concert after all – but I've never seen it happen so much in one area. The venue security/ushers sucked a lot.

The only cool thing about the section I was in was DJ CX Kidtronik showing up after he came off the stage. He hung out in the crowd for a while. Saul Williams also walked out in front of the crowd over where I was. He was pretty damned spectacular on stage. Way better than I thought he'd be.

Well, I definitely heard some Joy Division "Disorder" at some point, so maybe something with the things listed on the bottom of this page? I'm sure there'd be new stuff now.

Thanks for posting the pictures. I didn't see what happened in our section that got those two people yelling at each other, probably someone spilled their drink on someone else like you said. My buddy Mark was pretty drunk, he doesn't remember the incident but he's a good guy, after I pointed it out to him he just went right in there and defused the situation.

I'm still pretty bummed out about what happened to my car. I can't believe some drunk or stoner would key my car like they did, it was about $1000 in damage. I was thinking towards the end of the show I should have put the cover on the car to prevent exactly this kind of thing from happening, or maybe we should have taken my friend's Jeep instead of my Vette.

I was thinking maybe someone who reads this forum might have witnessed the vandal in the act, or maybe whoever did it reads this forum. Any information would be helpful. I was parked in the smaller parking lot across the street from the main parking lot. Just wondering why someone would do something like this, is it because of jealousy/angst/nihilism or is it just completely random and pointless, chemical-induced, whatever. I feel sorry for whoever it is, at first I wanted to see them punsihed but now I realize they probably are messed up and have no future anyway if they are going around committing this kind of crime.

Anyway, I did really enjoy the concert despite all this, and have been re-listening to With Teeth and other NIN CDs since, it was fun hearing "Only" performed live. I was expecting Trent would do something different for "Right Where it Belongs", since on the CD it starts out sounding kind of muddy and then in the middle there's a transition where it gets much clearer and you hear the crowd cheering, so I thought maybe he would raise a curtain or something at that point or maybe use it as the concert intro. Also it seemed like the theme of the concert with the stage setup was supposed to look like teeth maybe - definitely it resembles the jagged look of the NIN.com site.

I thought it was funny when my friend thought the concert was over about halfway through when they lowered the curtain - he wanted to leave early to beat the traffic but I told him we had to stay for Head Like a Hole. There were some really great lighting effects as noted previously, I especially liked the way the purple light hung in the fog/haze during Something I can Never Have, it was like Trent was playing in the middle of this purple cloud and it looked really cool/eerie. Also when the stage was backlit in blue and it looked like rain falling down the front curtain, that was a spectacular visual effect. It seemed like the decibel level was highest for Reptile, it was so loud I could feel it melting the wax in my ears.

I'm not sure how I would rate this concert against when I saw NIN previously in Madison, WI for the 2000 Fragility tour. I liked the video screens better that he used for that tour, but they were probably expensive and maybe Trent did not want to spend as much money this time.

This is the first show I haven't met someone from ETS.The show was great, and Trent managed to make a little speech or a.k.a. his "moment of clarity".Also I'm pretty sure what he said in the beginning was "this is fucking great".

I saw NIN at the Jax show with QOTSA & DFA1979 and it rocked... But I enjoyed the Pensacola show more... mostly because Josh Freese they sounded better... and Saul is inspirational and truly amazing... Does Anyone know the DJ guys name or perhaps the name of his upcoming solo cd???

Ah, but who cares. The music was awesome, we got a lot of songs that aren't done that often and it was just an amazing show.

Do you think so? I was at the Jax show, and I thought that the Jax crowd was way more violent than Pensacola, but the Pensacola venue was so small that it was nice and intimate compared to the other 4 times I've seen them.

But then again...it is hard to rate the shows. We usually take them each as their own independent show. Can NiN top NiN?

the Jax crowd was way more violent than Pensacola... the Pensacolas venue was maller so it sounded more enclosed... but I mostly was talking about the band sounded crisper and tighter... where in jax we had that Alex Carapetis (sp?) guy.... and now Freese is there... I am a spiral member but after 2 shows with no luck at a meet & greet or soundcheck... kinda dissapointed.. however with the summer tour with Tv on the Radio and BauHaus... looks like I'll be seeing NIN Again... and I've seen NIN in 95' 00' 05' 06'... it is hard to rate the shows... for me every NiN show tops the last NiN show... Peace...

I think the thing that impressed me more at Global Gathering and Pensacola compared to Jax is that they seemed to play with the music more...like they weren't so scripted this time around...which was nice. I've seen NiN in 91, 94, 05, 06, 06 and everyone has been great.

Wow I didnt know it was a vette. That really sucks. I'm glad it didnt ruin the whole concert for you though. It was most likely a random idiot trying to act cool, stupidity has been high lately.

Hah, I felt the same way.

I was really thinking about risking the concert by sneaking in something to record it with but I had nothing and if I did I would probably wouldn't do it. I'm just hoping someone out there did manage to sneak it in, record it and will put it out there for all of us to listen.

I'm a tard. I could of sworn he said "DJ Krust". Then again, I apparently can't hear at all. The Ft. Wayne show broke me. If you thought this concert was loud... well, you shoulda been at Ft. Wayne.

hello all. The show rocked in Pensacola...I got to watch it from the side of the stage...sitting on NINs mic trunk. I got an after show pass and went to the party backstage...they were all pretty friendly and we ate gummy bears and listened to van halen. Iwatched most of the show sitting with Saul Williams DJ...I think he is on a permanent crack high. Jeordie danced with me to some strange music too...still don't know what the hell we were listening too. I was surprised to hear dead souls though was my 4th NIN show since voodoo fest 06.
