I guess I'll go first. There was a soundcheck for those who were there at 4 p.m. but I heard that there was no meet and greet with the band.
Was able to get to the rail and stay but it was hard. I've never been at the rail and have everybody pushing on you. I was able to be on Aaron's side of the stage, almost in front of him and able to get a few shots. I saw Rob there too, and got a picture or two of him, maybe they might come out good. There were so many people pulled out, most right over my head. The people around me were great, I didn't get a chance to thank them. The concert was great, Trent threw a tamborine into the crowd, a said a few things but I'm too tired to think right now.

I have to say how thankful I am that I became a Spiral member and got tickets through the fan club. We were let in around 4:30-5PM for the soundcheck after a rigorous pat down for blades by big women who primarily targeted the girls. The soundcheck was great, and only about 40 or so people in all, plus or minus a few it seemed. Very intimate. Reznor was very friendly and personable to us, despite the foul stench in the air from the sewage factory next door. "It's kinda stinky here. Smells like someone just tried farting on us." It was apparently Aaron's birthday and a sign saying such from a fan made the guy turn red. "Home" was great but they didn't finish it after a bit of confusion on Josh's part, but hey, this guy really is one of the best if not THE best drummer for Nails live.

Despite the freezing weather, the show was great! Josh really shined on "Wish" I thought. "Only" is always amazing when I see this played at the shows; tonight was no exception. "The Day The World Went Away" both at the soundcheck and on the main set was really inspiring; it's a great played live. The show did have a couple of fuckups. 1.) Aaron's guitar seemed to be having a problem on "Eraser" and he didn't play for most of the song. 2.) Jeordie's bass stopped on "Piggy" for most of the song until the end, at which Reznor sang, "not even the bass fucking up can stop me now." Reznor later commented, "If you were wondering why 'Piggy' sounded so shitty, its because we are trying this new thing where we are just turning things off to see how it goes. Something new we are trying so we meant to do that." Reznor was really chatty and joking a lot with us, the most I've ever seen. "It's fucking cold up here. Is it going to start snowing?" For South Texas, it was freezing tonight; the weather station said it was dipping down into the 40's with a colder wind chill.

Overall, the soundcheck was the highlight for me. A very intimate experience between the band and a handfull of fans. And just how cool looking are the Spiral tickets?!?!

i guess referring to the fact that most people in the front are mostly sweaty and hot, but on this night i'd say everyone was pretty cold.
i was on the rail in front of jordie kinda, he kept coming right to the edge of the stage, then at the end he threw his tele headstock first right into the ground, broke the top 3 tuners on it...it was fuckin sick.
mr self destruct was a bad ass opener, the lights were crazy.
all the singles from witha teetha were played...cool visuals during those songs as well..
frail and the wretched during the sound check was bad ass

i love how reznor always has control of his stage...

josh freese is still a drum god though, and ripped it as expected.
aaron is a madman on stage, and on his birthday, looked rather pissed(probably guitar problems)
it was sweet to see alessandro out from behind his layer...
great show over all besides the eraser and piggy mishaps
there is so much more shit i could say, but fuck it. its nin. you know what happened.

This was my 8th show of since the first Fresno show, and I must say that while I thouroughly enjoyed myself, it was definitely WITHOUT A DOUBT the worst I've seen them. They had TONS of technical difficulties, the three worst I will share.

3. During Eraser, Aaron's guitar went our after no more than a few notes and the problem couldn't be solved for the rest of the song. Really sucked the life out of the show as it was the first big fuck up.

2. About 30 seconds into Piggy, both the Bass and Guitar stopped working, so for the rest of the song (except for the last 20 some odd seconds when a new Bass was rigged) it was just Trent singing, drums, and Alessandro's back track.

1. The first 30 seconds of Hurt were completely inaudible as there was 0 volume. It was abruptly re-established and the song went on.

Also, I was a little down on the crowd, maybe just because my friend got peed on by some drunk guy and I got kicked in the head by crowd surfers more than any other concert I've been too, but whatever, I can live with that.

Also, the band came out ON FIRE tonight. They were very strong all the way up until Eraser.

WOWW I have been a fan of NIN for some time now, but this is the first time i have seen them live (unless you consider watching AATCHB about 1000times) haha..

It was AMAZING and the mishaps still didn't kill the show 4me. Also, going back stage was awsssssssmm.

We got to talk 2 Josh and he demonstrated his psychic powers (yeahh no joke) it was FREAKY/AWSM/KOOL/weird? haha. I got to meet Saul and His DJ....They tore it up as well.

Yeahh if ur interested about Josh's powers, ask and i'll post in detail haha toooooooo tired now..

NIN !!!!

This was my 6th NIN show and definitely one of the best. Sure it was cold and they didn't have all the screens in the middle of the show and all that but it was cool. I LOVED "YKWYA" and "TDTWWA" and "Eraser" always kicks ass.
I met Josh afterwards (some dude with no lenses in his glasses that said he played w Saul W got us backstage) and he swore his name wasn't Josh. He said he changed it to FLASH PEANUT. I was like "Flash Peanut?" He said he wasn't Josh but he knew who we were talking about. He pointed to a middle-aged woman working backstage and said that THAT was Josh Freese. Then he did a really weird dance in the parking lot and freaked out one of the security guards. He said it was to make it rain and wash the stink away? Strange....anyway, NIN kicked ass and FLASH PEANUT kicked ass as well!

Does anybody have pictures from the show last night?

What was the music played during segway before NIN? There was a song after a Gary Newman (I think) track. The singer sound like he was singing in a David Bowie style. Any help is appreciated. Thanks.

Overall really bad ass show.

Saul Williams was electrifying and really groovy.

And as soon as I heard the pinion intro music, I already knew what was to come. And then "Mr. Self Destruct" started and the mosh pits started instantaneously. Great show despite small technical difficulties.
And all the crowd surfing and moshing.

QUESTION!!!!!

What was the song that was played twice before Saul's set? If it helps (this shows how much of a nerd I am), the backing beat in it was the same as in the Halloween Meathead video (where Alessandro is a zombie) when it shows the stadium and it says something like "tonight's big ass show".

I know that's a strange way to request the title of a song, but it's the best I can do. Anyone know?

Well, the show was GREAT! This was my second time to Corpus and to the Concrete Amphitheater. I went with my friend Ione and Brittani. We were freezing before the show but around 430 we were distracted from being cold by a awesome sound check(we heard it from outside unlike the Spiral members but it was still cool). I was happy to hear Love is Not Enough, The Frail and The Wretched especially since they weren't performed during the show. About two hours later they finally started letting us in. My friends and I wanted barricade but we got to the front at least so we were happy. I believe the show began around 8 and Saul Williams perfomed about 6 songs. I was really happy to see him and glad that the audience showed him some love. I really respect him for being different, he's a very talented artist. I'm not really sure when NIN came on stage, I was too busy trying to prepare myself from the rush about to began. I thought I was going to miss the screen that I saw in the Oct. 16 show but I didn't. I really enjoyed the lighting effects used during the show and I believe that the visuals as well as the music are a big part of a NIN show. You can't really explain how awesome NIN is live it's just something you have to see and I plan on seeing again this summer, hopefully in Dallas and San Antonio.

No either. It's because there was no screen, I guess Trent isn't comfortable playing those with no shield (or some other reason). He's never played either without the screen and videos.

He played "Right Where It Belongs" twice without the screen at VooDooFest, and once when the video crapped out in Cleveland.

Oops! Well there you have it. I guess was wrong why he didn't play it, but it's still stands true that they didn't play it in Corpus.

As windy as it was, I'd doubt they could have kept the front screen in place anyway if they tried. I noticed the "teeth" were swaying quite a bit from time to time with the wind.

They definitely did NOT play "The Mark Has Been Made".

I just got back from the Austin show...nice way to spend the last two days/nights.

It was a great show. I drove down from Austin to see them. Concrete Street was an interesting and kind of cool place to see NIN. Trent seemed like he was in a good mood and unusually chatty. Even the sound problems didn't piss him off. I didn't mind either...it added to the character of the show. They really seemed like a tight and powerful unit together on stage. I think Josh Freese is a perfect drummer for the band. I like his new mowhawk. He's a better choice than Alex Carapatis(sp) who I saw play with them last October in San Antonio and Dallas.

The corpus show was a good addition to the shows i seen on this tour. I was actually somewhat dissapointed that they didnt use the screen durring this show..i was really looking forward to experiencing that again. But they shall be back soon..other than probably one of the most talkative trents ive seen yet. TDTWWA was absolutely amazing and so was EDIETS. Two songs i hadn't seen played live yet. No big Comedown or even deeper. maybe next time. ...i also saw alot of new merch this time around..some pretty groovy hoodies. And a program for the tour which i thought was way cooler than any t shirt. overall great show..see yall in san antonio

Aaron's guitar tech told me they cut the show by four songs because the wind was messing up all the sound. They were cold and wanted to get outta there.

The audience was wild in the center and many assholes tried molesting me and my friends and I about fought them. I pushed myself over to the side by Aaron and found some cool people there, but overall, the audience was either too busy getting drunk or smoking weed to really get into it. Although it was 40 degrees outside, I sweated my ass off.

And what is up with all the people bringing thier little kids to the show? WTF is wrong with these people, putting your 7 year old in the pit?

the show was as intense as everyone is saying. anyone who saw me know my pants were ripped so bad they became shorts by the end up the show. even though there was some problems with the sound, i'm so glad trent took it all in stride. instead of getting mad and screaming when the bass fell out, after piggy he said something like "that was a new version of piggy we're trying out on the road, that was totally on purpose." :p

despit the sound problems and weather conditions, it was a great great show. i helped some guy find his shoe after the show. so many shoes lieing around.

all this nin greatness only gets me more excited for the june texas shows.
