Well, I'm not there, but johnbron just called me as they started Into The Void. Wooo, looks like we're getting variety this leg :)

This leg of the tour is one giant dance party. I just got back and the intro to "into the void" makes you get down.

they didnt play much from awithateetha but most of them were hits that only good fans would recognize. non-entity was there and it was played really well The new screen is damn cool with the new background. I think it adds to more of a "club" feel.

What is that case that the guy carries around that is labeled "TR-PB"

I just got home and I'm about to crash for the night. But this show was the best of the eight I've seen in support of With Teeth. What a night. I've mentioned in other threads how much I like TV on the Radio and it was great to see them live. They put on a great show. Never heard any Bauhaus but I liked them fine as well.

Non-entity live was very good in my opinion. Hearing Somewhat Damaged and La Mer was a fucking treat. Lots from The Fragile and I loved it all!

Hippygeek: Glad you got the call. I wasn't sure. Just kept the phone on for a few minutes. I wound up second row back dead center. Nice!

Wow. Hands down, the best and most fun NIN show I've seen. The new light-fence thing is so rad and the sneaky intro is a great surprise. They should've filmed this stage production for the DVD, the teeth LEDs were cool but this is phenomenal. It's an all-out disco assault this time. Really impressive visually.

No kidding. I pointed it out during the first leg but man, if that was a gay disco, I don't even know what this is. The stage production is totally channelling Madonna. It's hysterical.

The new set list feels really fresh and lively. Get Down Make Love and Suck are fun and nostalic, the La Mer / Into the Void medley is super cool, The Big Come Down is brutal, Help Me I am in Hell comes out of nowhere & is a real treat, and the fully arranged version of Non Entity sounds fantastic. They've also added a couple little extended jams here and there, which is neat and unexpected.

The guys played impeccably tight and seemed to be having a lot of fun tonight. Jeordie actually danced and ran around the stage. Toward the end, I saw Alessandro grinning at Josh, who was noticeably taking liberty with his fills. Trent was spot-on with his vocals and it's awesome seeing him with an axe for most of the show. Aaron was Aaron, which is always fun.

Bonus points:

1. The Clark County Amphitheater staff are weirdos and doors opened almost an hour late. Yay for ages queuing in the rain.

2. TV on the Radio were good but in the good but not good enough for me to care sort of way.

3. While the vocal mix was bad for the first third of their act, Bauhaus put on a really fun show. I'm basically completely unfamiliar with their stuff but wow, that was fun! Peter Murphy, geez, what a personality XD

6. Please do not clap to the beat during Help Me I am in Hell. It's not OK.

- Man, I live in Bellingham, which is close to Canada. This concert was in Ridgefield, which is minutes away from Oregon. My friend and I made it BACK to Bellingham by four A.M. It was pretty sketchy the last few minutes of him on the road, weaving back and forth. But he had enough friskyness in himself and made it the whole way.

- This is the second time I have experienced the 'Nails, the first was at KeyArena in Seattle last September, which was a good show, but the seat crowd (where I was, even though I bought my tickets directly after they went on sale [damn you Spiral!]) was absolutely terrible. This time was MILES better. I was actually able to stand, enjoy the show, and give the band their proper respect.

- I missed TV on the Radio as I was going from merch booth to merch booth trying to find a NIN work jacket in an XXL, which was impossible. I was disappointed with the shirt selection as well. And how the main tour shirt is EXACTLY the same as the last leg of the tour, only with different dates on the back. But I settled on the one with the yellow logo and the yellow dates on the back, not too shabby actually. I got back in time for Bauhaus, and I was COMPLETELY lost with them. I did not know they even existed, much less had been around for a good 25-plus years. The rather large reaction they got shocked me and my friend as well. This one woman not too far from me was REALLY into them too. It must be nice knowing who the hell those guys are.

- I was somewhat disappointed with the setlist as it was exactly the same as the one two nights before. It seemed abridged, but that was during a festival, so it made sense. But, nope, even their own show got the short-end, it seemed.. But godDAMN did they make it work. "Suck" was by FAR the best performance of the night. Actually, the only grievances I have with the setlist is no "Not So Happy Now" and, especially, no "Starfuckers." I mean, I was wearing my "*FUCKER" shirt too (it was ten tons of fun going into a Wendy's beforehand with that shirt on as well), so I was pretty prepared.

- I'm not sure who fudged up "March of the Pigs" though. Was it Josh? Was it Trent? Or was it us, the clapping fans?

- The set itself was absolutely awesome. The light-fence was cool, especially how it lit up with the NIN logo at the end. The backing screens were a lot better than the "Teeth" screens last-time-'round. The graphics during "Non-Entity" were pretty bitchin'. Madonna and Trent are neck-and-neck in the Disco Wars of Oh-Six.

- Tonight cemented me seeing NIN everytime they come around here again. Just, hopefully, they don't play at the Clark County Amphitheater again. I was shocked at how tiny it was too. The whole thing could fit in the lawn area of White River alone.

DAMN trent finally took my idea and played la mer/into the void. God it was sooooo obvious. o well better late than never. btw i have a remix mash up of la mer/into the void if anyone wants it. (the_fire_marshal@hotmail.com) But did they really have to take out eraser/right where it belongs for non-entity?????? what the fuck! And help me i am in hell without happiness? double what the fuck. thats the whole reason for help me i am in hell; a prelude to happiness in slavery. but hey! at least they took out byit... or as i like to call it the song that never ends. *edit* it is not a song, it is a cry for help, my bad! We should really help him. On another note, WOW Somewhat damaged! The ultimate anger song! a great opener... but i miss love is not enough. CRAP they didnt play starfuckers or tdtwwa... o well... tdtwwa would be amazing to close the show instead of hlah. Well we will just have to see what the future holds. my show is on June 24th For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever and ever. Amen im sooooooooo EXCITED!!!

amazing show, i was dead center front row. because of the seating, we could move around freely at the front row, security quickly shoo'd away anyone that wasn't in their proper row (which was funny because it was GA seating) but first come first serve means those seats were mine

i didn't take pics aty the show, kicking myself for it since i coulda touched trent forehead with my camera if i really felt like it

to all those in the first few rows : i want your pictures, contact me. especially those i let sneak into the front to grab a few shots.

if anyone has audio from tonight I would give my left nut.

I am so happy that NIN came somewhere close to me, again! The Gorge is fun, but a bit of a pain from SW WA. And camping would have been crappy in this weather.

My only complaint doesn't have anything to do with the band, but rather the drunk and stoned people in front of me. People, you can't dance, and your pot stinks like skunk. Buy some better shit next time. For the amount of smoke I inhaled, I should have been in a better mood, but all it did was give me a headache.

I'm rather ignorant about this, but do they EVER play Perfect Drug? This is my third concert and I haven't heard it yet.

Aside from the pot thing, which wasn't a big deal, just irritating, I had a great time. I loved that TR let us see a bit of his personality too.

Also, what's with these two new Bauhaus songs? Does this mean they'll really have an album out?

I agree, that was my first show as well and I left feeling a little disappointed. But yesterday totally made up for it. The crowd was better, the band seemed more energetic and just the general atmosphere was better. I think having the concert in a place that requires a mini-roadtrip kind of helped.

I like the LED screen thing better than that white curtain, the curtain irritated me for some odd reason. The graphics and lights were really well coordinated with the songs and the screen gave the stage a little more depth than the curtain did.

I really wish I'd brought my camera. I wasn't sure how anal the security was going to be so I didn't but it turned out that I could've had it in my back pocket and no one would've noticed. I was off to the side of the stage but still had a good view.

The only damper on my evening was the fact that it was raining.

I saw nin twice last fall in the arena tour - chicago and madison and the show last night was by far the best of the 3. I was in the 200's section - dead center and thus was able to enjoy the lights and visuals - which in my opinion were way better than the fall tour. All in all just a rocking concert - on a caliber that only nin can deliver, I almost died when they started playing into the void. I urge anyone considering attending a show this summer to do it, you won't regret it!

Did they really not play "Bela Lugosi's Dead"? I can't believe it. I thought they always played that song.

Also, I'm probably wrong, but the song "Adrenalin" might be a Throbbing Gristlr cover. Do you remember if the words went like this: "Sitting hear you make me shiver, sitting here I loose all fear..." Was it really dancy and poppy, becuase if it is in fact a tg cover, that would be so cool.

I hope they start playing "Terror Couple Kill Colonel" and "St. Vitus Dance"

Also, I thought Peter wasn't going to play "Stigmata Martyr" becuase of the religious overtones? Did I just make that up or did he change his mind?

Lovely show. TV On The Radio is a really great band, however the bass player needs to turn around to take in the scenery. In the words of Peter Murphy, Bauhaus was "marvelous." NIN was fabulous of course. Trent's backing band is a solid masterpiece, but the drummer is a bit of a ham-fisted ham. Is it because he has to play to a click track? Is he starting the click track? Hard to tell. In any case, what a nightmare of a band in which to be a drummer! I'm sure they are all grossly underpaid. It's always nice to see a show where "performers" actually perform. The curtain was genius, however I was trying to "...pay no mind to the man behind the curtain!" (If you get my meaning...)

This was my second NIN show and by far the best. They all seemed so happy. I just wish it had been a little closer to home (Salem) but the drive didn't take as long as I thought it would.
I convinced my mom to buy a 800 speed disposable camra, and we got at least 25 pictures of the show. I didn't really like TV On The Radio; they were to loud. But I really loved Bauhaus, eventhough I'd never heard of them before. They had about 2 dozen roses on the stage, and afterwords the roadies tossed them out into the audience. latter on I was looking around at the people and this really pale guy with a shaved head, eyeliner-eyebrows and black sunglasses tured around and started flirting with me, acting like he was gonna give me his rose. I was so surprised and embarased I just started laughing. It was really sweet.
My mom was so funny; she whistled at Peter Murphy, and, I'm not shure if it was sort of planed or not, but he stoped and posed on the stage and stared at us....he is quite a character:)
NIN was amazing, and eventhough there was no pit, It was still so much funner than the other one I went to with my dad in Portland. He really missed out.

I came down from Victoria, BC, and the long drive and waiting in the rain for four hours was well worth the show! It was amazing! I had such an awesome time, and diagonally I was about twelve feet from Trent!

I was so happy with the setlist. Of course I always hope for songs such as And All That Could Have Been, The Perect Drug, and Sunspots, but I was surprised with a lot of the classic NIN songs! Ahhh it was so good. I felt like a sqealy girl because of how excited I was throughout the show!

THe only downer was the drunk lady who kept trying to take my seat and the seats ahead of us. She kept taking pictures with her cell phone and hitting me. I was really pissed off that she kept coming back too.

Lastly, was anyone secretly glad no one was allowed in the aisles? Sure, moshing is great, but I had a clear view of all five members the entire night (except when the drunk lady marched through). Just an amazing night!

I had a great time meeting those few spiral memebers. Oh, and seeing Rob Sheridan was another highlight of the night. Wow is he attractive!

(were you in the 6th row back, a little off to the right?) Are you talking about ME? Yeah, I'm guilty of egging Peter Murphy on.......but I'm not into him in THAT way. He's too "marvelous!" (tm) for me! He was very...um...entertaining though. I had such a great time watching them ham it up, it was hilarious. My favorite moment was when I whistled and yelled at him, and then he looked at me (or so it seemed) and started really posing, awesome. (didn't expect that.) They had so much energy and really seem to enjoy themselves on stage. I'll go see them again, I guess I'm officially a fan of the "marvelous" BauHaus now!

As for NIN.....can't say how totally AWESOME (!!!!) they were, they put on the best show! This was my first NIN concert, and I just had too much fun, f*cking awesome man! Trent is just the best, and he really seemed to be in the best mood. It was nice to see him smile during March of the Pigs. I tried to get up to the front row to get better pictures but the security guy said no. *pout* The only complaint I have is that they opened the gates late, and *dammit!* NIN needs to have an "intermission" type pause where people can get autographs or something!!! repeat; *dammit!* Sherry even brought an "AwithAteethity2.0" cd with her, hoping. Oh...AND there should have been more room to dance. Oh...almost forgot...HAPPY B-DAY Sherry! *gotcha* Just altogether a great experience and I can't wait to see NIN in concert again. Whoohoo!

First off, I gotta give props to Trent for the opening. The light cages were down (a great effect, btw) and the song started and I had no idea Trent was even onstage until I heard his voice boom through the speakers. I frantically looked around until I spotted him up front with his arm through the slats. Sneaky bastard. Then he freaked me out again because it looked like he had hair. Long hair. Huh? Is he wearing a wig?! Then I realized he was wearing a black hoodie. Heh.

I'm thrilled to death they did "Somewhat Damaged" and "Into The Void" - my two of three favorite songs off of The Fragile - and they were both so strong and dynamic live. Loved the hipswing Trent had going on ITV. "Get Down, Make Love" (I was shocked he'd do a cover) and the new full-band version of "Non-Entity" were delicious treats and I didn't think it would be possible to kick "Gave Up" even higher but they did and it was a fun banger. "Closer" is faster and funkier and still has the clever "Only Time" breakdown but it cuts off early; I prefer the long, drawn-out ending where I can get lost in it. Yes, I clapped during MOTP and proud of it.

The whole damn show was fantastic - big dance party indeed! - and I have no complaints about the setlist (though I thought they missed an opportunity to sing "Happiness In Slavery" with the cages down, it would have made a cool nod to the video). "Something I Can Never Have" caught me off guard emotionally; out of nowhere I just burst out crying and "Hurt" made me teary-eyed as well.

Heh. That's Josh Freese, one of THE top drummers in the business. He's worked with just about everybody. Trent scored a major coup when he landed him for the rest of the tour. I'm sure he's paid well. I don't know if he plays with click track but, for this band, he'd be thoroughly insane not to.

And Trent makes playing the tambourine look like the manliest thing in the world. Awesome.

I saw Bauhaus eight or so years ago and they played a more low-key, intimate set back then. Seeing them kick things up a few notches and play more uptempo stuff was a lot of fun and, yes, Peter is quite the character. Love him and his white shoes, weird pogo dance and crazy hair.

TVotR were awfully cute. They didn't have much stage presence but the lead singer seemed so nice and sincere and into his music. Despite the bassist's odd shyness I still give them a cookie.

Major props to the lighting and sound guys. I was a bit worried because TVotR and Bauhaus sounded muddy and I thought Peter's voice was drowned out at times but NIN was crystal clear and everyone was perfectly balanced. I miss the jagged LCD teeth but the new lighting design is great and I loved the massive NIN logo at the very end - it really drove home how far Trent has come since it first appeared on his jacket waaay back in the vid for "Down In It."

They haven't yet. The beat is so fast and complex they'd need two drummers and a boatload of triggers to pull off live. Poor Josh's arms would fall off. Besides, Trent hates the song.

I thought the exact same thing! I was like, "Whaaa? Trent, do you have hair?"

I thought of another thing though. I was really hoping for Happiness In Slavery to start playing right after Help Me I Am In Hell. It didn't, which is disappointing, but the whole concert was still great!!

I hope a recording of this surfaces.


It was nice to see Alessandro play some bass during Get Down Make Love. I don't think he played any guitar/bass when I saw them in Seattle.

my first NIN show and what a gas. 9th row center stage. no problem people. I thought the setlist was good, not great - but I was certainly not disappointed. the visual part of the show just added to the entire experience and i thought it was fantastic. the band seemed to be having fun (and pretty tight as well). all in all a 5 star show.

...Well, when you live in the northwest like me your used to rain.
I liked the venue, just not the people working there, who didn't seem to know what they were doing....
I just wish HAD the money to travel around to see them. The only reason I got to see them this time around was because it was for my birthday.

Besides the fact that I had to wait forever for NIN to get on the stage (TV rocked!), I frigging loved the concert. It was great to see Peter Murphy again, but I wanted to see Trent. (sorry, Peter! You rocked!)

It was good to see Joardie (Twiggy) rocking somewhere after his Marilyn Manson departure.

If NIN ever comes near Oregon (Ridgefield is a spitball away from Portland) then I'm there!

I so wished I brought my camera, but it is impossible to hide a digital rebel in a mini skirt. Did I mention the lighting was great? Worth the production set-up 40 min wait.

And god, it was so good to hear some of the Pretty Hate Machine songs live again...

This was my first NIN show. It was awesome and very worth the 3 hour plus wait in line. The light show was fantastic and really added to the already awesome show. I was very happy with the setlist and about wet myself when Sin started and Head Like A Hole as the climax was soooo right. TV was OK Bauhaus were great, but all I wanted to hear was NIN. I will be seeing them again, near or not near, I'll travel if need be. Living in Oregon if you wait til a band you like comes to you, you may wait forever to see a show.

Aaron North showed up for a sound check once in a chicken suit. When did you see the guy? It could have been him or just someone doing a shout out. Saw them at the gorge and ridgefield. Both concerts were amazing! Liked the ridgefield venue, but of course the gorge blows pretty much everything away. Unfortunetly, the concert posters at ridgefield got slightly wet sometime before the show (at least the ones at the booth that i went to) so none of the posters were in great shape.

i avoided looking online for the setlist from the night prior on purpose and i have to say i was utterly suprised! having 4 songs off broken was probably the biggest shock of the setlist for me, aside from 'somewhat damaged' and 'into the void' [which i believe has never been played].
the intro was an extended intro to 'somewhat damaged', i didnt recognize it at first and i remember leaning to my girlfriend saying "we got a brand new intro!!" i was wrong, but not dissapointed.
i knew all the 'la mer'/'still' geeks were gonna freak when they heard the piano. i have to admit, i thought that it was pretty fucking sweet as the intro for 'into the void'. i was actually expecting the full 'la mer', but thank god it turned out the way it did.
even though 'get down make love' was played to all hell back in the day, it was honestly a big suprise for me.
i have never heard 'the big comedown' live before, but in my opinion, the song doesnt translate well.
i was in GA2 with all the casual listeners. it was pretty surreal, the songs that they didnt recognize, they would just talk to each other. but once they heard a familiar chorus, they freaked and sang along [as best they could].

These videos were shot by my brother, with his digital camera. I gotta say this is the 6th or 7th show I have seen over the years, and it was by far the best. The set was outstanding, hearing some of the rarely played tracks like "Get Down Make Love", La Mer, & The Big Comedown, was an absolute treat. Hearing Non Entity with a full band was far more impressive than I could have imagined. I was dissappointed that Trent did not play "Every Day Is Exactly The Same", didn't play it at the Portland show last fall either, but oh well. For the first time, I did not have to buy tickets, we won tickets on KROQ, but would have gladly paid a fortune for a show like that. Damn KROQ could have gotten closer seats than the back 5 rows, but it was still damn good!
