right before "la mer," TR mentioned that the first time he ever saw the ocean was in virginia beach, when he was 19.

tv on the radio played a wonderful set, as did bauhaus.

i couldn't be happier with the show. this was my third time seeing them and every show beats out the last, which is pretty impressive. even my 53 year old mother who listens to nothing but bob dylan loved it (she asked to go with me this time).

I must echo the previous poster---tons more energy! Last time I saw NIN was the Fragility 1.0 tour and this one was Soooooooo much more audience friendly (except for the gate thing half way thru---but it provided for way cool imagery).

I missed TVOR, (was in the 'lot drinking wine) but Bauhaus was EXTRODINARY! I was very unhappy that folks didn't appreciate "Bela Lagosi"; no one got up to dance in the entire section I was in....

great great show, even better then Richmond. Had a great spot on the floor right in the center. So awesome, didn't make it in time to catch tv on the radio but bauhaus rocked. Cought a water bottle from trent haha.

setlist above is correct except hurt was after down in it. the show was pretty good, although i felt the energy wasn't as much as the richmond show in march, but the show was still awesome. down in it was probably my favorite, the band went nuts, more so than during head like a hole. that song is just so energetic live. the new stage set up is really cool, especially during closer when just the center cage piece comes down. the added visuals were nice, especially during help me i'm in hell. that whole section of hmiih, non entity and only seems to replace the projection screen from the last tours. at one point, aaron ended up in the pit playing guitar, i couldn't tell if he just jumped down or if he fell.

yeah, people didn't really appreciate bauhaus, at least they didn't seem to me to be into it. i'm glad they played bela lagosi's dead. i hope they play dark entries in dc on tuesday, i was looking forward to that one.

overall, great show, i can't wait for dc on tuesday.

I was in General Admission for the Richmond Show, close up for an all-seats show in Boston, and close up in the seats for this outdoor venue. Each was very different in set design, tone (varying levels of anti-war), and energy. Gotta say that I really enjoy the smaller venues with general admission as there is so much more audience energy and the band responds to that (especially Aaron and Trent). The VA Beach show had a *massive* stage to work with and I was very pleased with the whole set but wished I was in the pit for Head Like a Hole at the end. What a great way to close each show!

I'm late posting this, oh well. Fabulous show, Aaron landed in my face and we all almost toppled to the ground. This thread is lacking pics so here's a few of my favorite ones. It always amazes me that Alex can get such amazing pics being tossed around in the pit (and with me being oblivious and blocking her shots).

thanks for posting the pics. i was in the pit but i would have never got a pic to save my life. its great to see pics of the show. i loved the bauhaus and nin sets. i was sad no one showed much life during bauhaus. on the other hand i got a good taste of everyones energy during the nin set. when aaron either feel in or drove in he pretty much hit me in the head. do you mind if use one or two of the pics your girl took on my lj post about the show. I am slow on making it cause its long. I will leave the thing them that shows who took the pics and all. I will also make double sure to say you guys took them not me.

Bauhaus was great, seeing Bauhaus and NIN together has been a fucking dream come true.
Aaron landed in my face too, we must have been close to each other.
I was the tall chick with glasses in the FDTS shirt, 3rd row from barricade inbetween Aaron and Trent.

Hi guys, just joined the forum. It was my first concert and am somewhat of a new fan. The concert was amazing and I'm glad that NIN is still blowing away 99% of what music is out there today! aaron north's behind the speaker feedback was awesome!

This show kicked ass. I saw nin in Richmond, Va Beach and D.C., and Va beach was the best outta the three. Amazing setlist. Un-surpased energy. Plus the Verizon Ampitheater is a fucking awesome venue to begin with. Can't believe they played Down in it... Seem to remember hearing they hardly ever paly it anymore. Also, hearing sin was a nice bonus, along with get down, make love. All in all, nin puts on the best Fucking Rock Show I have ever seen. It's not just about the music, it's about feeling and attitude. Trent Reznor is my hero now!!!
