Excellent concert, we got down in it and the big comedown...pretty kickass setlist altogether. Trent and Co. really put on a fine show.
A nice big FUCK YOU to the Spiral for making the standard members wait an extra 50 minutes after the premium members got in. The started letting us through at the same time as the regular admission people...not cool. They also wouldn't allow the same digital camera I took to Quebec City, and yet once I got in there, 1 in 5 people had a digital.
The new version of Non-Entity kicks the shit out of the old version, and I thought it was pretty cool Trent busted out the strat for Dead Souls.

I thought it was a little ridiculous to make us wait in the sun for the better part of the hour for no real reason. My camera is a Canon G4 so it is a little difficult to fit in my pants.
edit: I don't mean to sound like a bitch, I just felt like we weren't treated very well and I expected better from the Spiral.
Anyone remember how much time peaches played for? My friend was going to a show somewhere else and doesn't care for the band and wanted to miss them.

My friend and I are waiting to get onto the street car. It's about 6:00pm. We figure we have an hour to get there (which is plenty of time from Union Station). Next thing we know, rumor has it that some asshole got hit by a streetcar, hence the hold up. Then there were these three Indian children going insane with the running and the crying - marron.
All in all, we arrived at 7:40 and we missed Peaches and Double Dare, my favourite Bauhaus song. I didn't believe that Bauhaus was on already. I still don't know what stalled the bus, but I was pretty pissed when I heard Peter screaming "DARRRE YOU".
I bought my Bauhaus shirt after they left the stage; didn't get the shirt I wanted, but it's all good. Adrenaline (unreleased) and Severence (a cover I believe) were awesome. Peter had this stick that shot out rose pedals or something. They ended with Ziggy Stardust. I liked them before; I love them now. God I hope someone more familiar with them knows the setlist.
So then I went to get money from an ATM, where we met this cool guy and we talked about Bauhaus. Then I ran into a friend from high school, which was odd. He ain't that much of a goth dude anymore.

Setlist wasn't something to brag about, but I loved the lack of With Teeth and a whole lot of Fragile. I'm not a fan of Dead Souls, but I thought because it was played, I would get to hear Reptile. Didn't happen.
Toronto got Dead Souls and Suck twice; he could have changed it up a bit.
The fucking clap is still there. Didn't Trent say he doesn't encourage it? Bullshit if he did, because he was Hitler up there with it.
Jeordie smashed his bass while he was leaving the stage. Aaron jumped off a lot of things during the whole concert. At one point he was upside down, with his two legs balanced in the air.
Lighting was sexy.
After the NIN logo came up on the "fences", we somehow got two hot dogs and two drinks for free, which was awesome. The hot dog stand was busy as hell, so he must have missed us. Oh well, I'm not gonna lose sleep. "Twas a good hot dog, I tell you what.
And the women... marron.
The show was great; something was lacking though, not sure what it was. Crowd was into it and all, but I dunno. Something was troubled...
Can't wait for the next show. I'll probably be a Spiral member by then so I can better seats, cuz my 400 level days are done.

Fucking great show. Not quite as good as London, but better than the ACC in Nov. in my opinion.
My first NIN show, and I was not disapointed. It rocked from start to finish.
Peaches and Bauhas were decent, but Reznor and co. destroyed everything they did within 10 seconds on being on stage.
The crowd was super hot for everything, had an atmosphere unlike anything I've experienced.
In summary, when are they comming to Toronto again? I'll be there.

awesome show, awesome setlist. i put it on par with them playing in rochester in march, but it might have been better because of some clutch songs like the big come down. really awesome, if you have neglected to see this band, you are retarded.

I would like to point out that the floor/GA crowd was really superb. Best crowd ever. No crazy moshpit, and no crazy crowd surfers, and everyone was soo much into the show. After the show, people were still pumped and streets were filled with "Nine Inch Nails" chants...

I dunno where abouts on hte floor u where, but if u were at the front in about the middle it was like mosh the entire time. Whats up with the show not being sold out? They sold out the ACC, but not the molson ampitheatre? I had 2 extra tickets and couldnt sell them. I saw three other people trying to get rid of tickets. I even saw the goddamn scalpers selling the tickets at half price. What's up with that?
I was waiting for the street car as well- thank Trent it came in time for me just to miss 2 songs of Bauhaus's set

BEST NIN CONCERT EVER
A few things to get out of the way first: Peaches frightened me, and kind of sucked my will to live. Bauhaus deafened me with their overall badness- there were a few times I could hear the speakers get overmodulated distortion.
NIN played this concert at a million miles per second, and exploded with the force of a super black hole and all because of the one song that brought down the entire house: "Down In It". I've waited my entire life to hear that song live, and it was by far the greatest concert experience of my life. "Down In It" was the song that got me into NIN, and still remains my favourite song to this day- it's a perfect song in my opinion. I would pay the full admission if Trent were only going to play only that ONE song. I couldn't believe it, I had belly laughs after the song, I was so fucking happy. People thought I was a maniac and asked if I was "okay" and my friends had to respond that I was. I don't think I've ever been happier at a performance, movie or any entertainment venue then when that song was played. I was absolutely radiant.
I am always impressed by how Trent surprises me with his creative lighting which shows depth and artistry. I have no idea how he's going to top himself on the next tour.
After the show people were yelling "Nine Inch Nails" and "Nine Inch Nails Rock!" and "WOOOOOO!" like frat boys, so I threw in a few comments of my own, yelled at the extreme top of my lungs (because I was still insanely happy that I got to witness "Down in It" live):
"Nine Inch Nails is a good band!"
"The Molson Amphitheatre is an acceptable venue which combines the intimacy of the Kool Haus with the arena feel of the ACC!!"
"Nine Inch Nails combines the hard-edged sound of industrial music with a pop sensibility!"
"Trent Reznor demonstrates talent as a musician and a performer!"
"Fall Out Boy is the perfect musical apertif to a Nine Inch Nails concert!"
"Trent Reznor uses good judgment!"
"Production values aside, the strength of the concert rested entirely on the rivetting performance of the band!"

This was my first NIN show . . . it was absolutely flawless in my opinion. GREAT set - Trent's even better live than he is on his albums.
I liked how there was no real encore break . . . it's sort of rendundant gesture anyhow and just wastes time.

Seen every stop in Ontario on this tour (Except for the 2 dates at Kool Haus). I think it will be a few years before I see them again. I hope not though.

WOW - what an awesome show. I've intentionally and painstakingly been avoiding the tour journal threads just so that I could be surprised at the set list for tonights show. And let me tell you, it was certainly worth staying away. I got to hear several songs I wouldn't have expected to hear:

Same setlist as Hartford and Boston, but it was — and I cannot stress this enough — note fucking perfect, from beginning to end. What a brilliant experience... NIN were really feeding off the insanity of the crowd and it showed. But everyone in all three bands shone at their respective moments. Thank you to everyone who made it happen!
Some of the young kids didn't get Peaches, which is sad. She's sexy as hell up there and she doesn't care what you think, either. So fuck off.
Uh, no. It's practically required during "March of the Pigs" and "The Hand That Feeds." There was no slow clap during "Hurt", however — everything about the crowd was PERFECT during that song. It was the best live version I've ever seen. "Down In It" also hit hard and was awesome; same with "The Big Come Down" and "Non-Entity". in boston the crowd did the clap during hurt. i didnt. i wish they wouldnt have.... but the clapping is fun during some songs. and i dont think he discourages it... he initiated it a few times....
Once in Toronto people clapped during hurt and I remember him laughing! Clapping doesn't fit that song. I was glad no one did this time.

I am very sure that it was undersold because that venue is garbage. I didn't like not being able to drink on the floor either. I'd do it again tho. I feel like taking a road tri pand going to another show.

I really do not like the Molson Amphitheatre...security seems to be mostly populated by assholes with a power complex and I have always been treated like cattle or a criminal by the other staff. I have missed opening bands because it took a couple hours to get the lines through and that was with getting there way before doors open. I will always try to go to Montreal instead because the show is usually cheaper and the venues are more relaxed and efficient. Not always the case, but that's what I've learned over the last 3 summers.

what an amazing show! much better than the one at the acc in november. i got front and dead center. it was amazing. also, I GOT TRENTS TAMBOURINE!!!
Fucking AMAZING show! Best concert I've been to EVER and I've been to many. The energy upfront was insane, the crowd rocked thier asses off and the band was right on their game. I went there with a really shitty ticket but lucked out big time when this super cute little chick walking with a black crutch limped up to me and my friends and handed me a ticket for up front right out of the fucking blue. I NEVER have random luck like that. If your reading this I fucking love you!!!! This would have been the best night of my life but my friend said he saw the same girl collapse in the parking lot an hour after the show which really put a damper on the rest of the night for me. If your reading this, post to let us know your OK. Your my hero girl! Mad props to you and Trent for the most intense night ever and a big fuck you to the oversized lardassed crowd surfers.

Heres my review of what Im calling "Fragility 3.0(this time no coke......promise)
I'd just like to give a big fuck you, to the people in section 402 row ) seats 41-45 and a big thank you to all the people around me constantly telling them to shut the fuck up. I mean, i dont like singing at a concert, but i understand and tolerate it. but why the fuck do you have to talk through songs(topics that would make a 1st grade look like einstein), and just scream WOOOOOOHH every 10 seconds. and why is every song your "favourite song ever of all time"?
anyways besides the screamers ruining my tape it was a good high energy performance by the NIN camp. Josh Freese makes that band so much better than with JD or AC. the double kick at the end of wish, the drum solo during hlah. and the best part is when hes not playing, like all hte pauses he left at the end of terrible lie.

I'd just like to give a big fuck you, to the people in section 402 row ) seats 41-45 and a big thank you to all the people around me constantly telling them to shut the fuck up. I mean, i dont like singing at a concert, but i understand and tolerate it. but why the fuck do you have to talk through songs(topics that would make a 1st grade look like einstein), and just scream WOOOOOOHH every 10 seconds. and why is every song your "favourite song ever of all time"?
anyways besides the screamers ruining my tape it was a good high energy performance by the NIN camp. Josh Freese makes that band so much better than with JD or AC. the double kick at the end of wish, the drum solo during hlah. and the best part is when hes not playing, like all hte pauses he left at the end of terrible lie.

Such a good show! I actually had a seat for this one, and wow, I missed the pit. I really can't say if it was better or worse than the ACC or JLC shows, since I didn't see much of those... I was too busy getting killed :) The Big Come Down was the best of the night for me, and I really, really liked the effect of the LED screens. They probably could have been used more!
Peaches sure tried her heart out, running around the entire floor and 200 section. I'm not a huge fan of Bauhaus, though. Peter Murphy was doing some crazy things up there...

Definitely better than the ACC. This time I restrained myself from reading set-lists, which really made a difference...
Lighting was excellent, NIN's sounds was pretty good (Bauhaus's didn't seem to be as good, but it might be because I don't know many of the songs and I didn't know what to listen for, although their bassist had some pretty sweet bass lines and their drummer was quite good too). They had some cool songs and I only regret not having arrived earlier (as somebody mentioned, the 509 street car was delayed by an accident or whatever it was).
I was pleasantly surprised to hear Somewhat Damaged (when he started singing I thought it was Mr. Self Destruct, being the idiot that I am, but then a moment later I realized "FUCK! it's Somewhat Damaged!!". Very nice way to start the show, even if it was cut a tad short (it seemed that way to me, could be wrong though). Sin was amazing (missing the theremin at the beginning but oh well)... Only and YKWYA kicked ass; March of the Pigs was... well, thunderous would only begin to describe it. I wasn't a big fan of MOTP when I came in, but after hearing the wall of sound that followed the choruses, I have gained a new respect for it.
Gave Up was also very energetic. Help Me I Am In Hell was also quite a surprise and I was kind of getting pumped for Happiness In Slavery (the cage screen with the LED's was set up to show drops of blood growing and falling down while the LCD screens behind the band had similar visuals (Closer also used the same cage screen, with the middle screen being like a container of blood where the level of blood was constantly growing... it's hard to explain but it was pretty awesome)). Non-Entity after HMIAIH was also surprising, and the new version is pretty interesting and different compared to the one with the beat box and piano from the Katrina benefit (I'll have to get my hands on a bootleg).
La Mer... oh good God. La Mer was incredible. When Trent went up to the piano and started playing that improvisation of his I was almost certain it was going to switch into The Frail followed by The Wretched - but then I heard two very familiar chords from La Mer, and I knew something was up. It was very awesome to hear, especially how the chords of the main piano line would swell louder every time. Aaron did the guitar part very well too. For an instant I closed my eyes and I almost felt like I was treading water in some ocean somewhere for the tiniest instant (I know, it sounds retarded, but with the wind from the open and the force of the sound it did kind of feel like that). The part where the drums, bass and the distorted guitar show up (the high pitched continuous sound on the AATCHB version of the song) was taken out - intentionally or unintentionally I don't know, but either way I was pleased to hear it...
La Mer led into Into The Void, which was also very cool to hear, but something that was weird about it was that I'm pretty sure I did not see Jeordie playing the main bass line even though I thought I could faintly hear it (he was just standing with his bass guitar strapped on and his hands behind his back for parts of it). The biggest surprise as somebody mentioned, and the highlight of the evening for me, was Down In It - it was fucking incredible.
Jeordie was much more active this time around, banging his head and moving around more, and Aaron of course did his usual thing, swinging his guitar around, falling into the crowd, balancing (or falling) over his amp and running around (running up to one of his amps at the end and shoving his guitar right up to it for maximum possible feedback... it was quite a sight). Trent's mike also landed in the crowd at one point, can't remember which song it was, and he ran to the end of the stage to get it or something (something like that).
Alessandro was also pretty into it, jumping on his keyboard a few times and playing guitar for The Big Comedown, and Josh Freese was quite amazing... as somebody said, during Head Like A Hole, and also during SICNH, as well as some other songs. I'm really glad that Trent's finally found a drummer who fits the band.
They appropriately ended the night by destroying most of their equipment, which was an awesome sight. Jeordie even took one of the destroyed guitars and placed it between the bars of the cage screen before making his exit, where it balanced like some kind of decapitated head on a pike from medieval times, a totem to the awesome power of NIN.

What a fucking awesome show! Amazing setlist... "Gave Up"... "Wish"... and "Suck" were incredible. This was my third time seeing NIN live... the show was definitely more enjoyable than the ACC.
Peaches and Bauhaus were awesome. Loved Bauhaus' "Ziggy Stardust" Bowie cover.

Actually, that's a synth playing the bass. Jeordie and Aaron both played guitars on "Into the Void"... and I thought it was Aaron, not Jeordie who shoved his guitar into the lighting grille! That was "Suck". He went through all that trouble to get enough mic cable to toss it to us, and nobody even sang into it! this was my 6th NIN show and it was my 2nd favourite out of all of them! I love it soo much. my 1st favourite was the 1st day of the club tour in toronto last year.
Nine inch nails is also the best sounding band I have heard play the molson ampitheater .. it sounded really great better sounding then the foo fighters and they also sound great live.
Highlights for me were definitely
Somewhat Dammaged - Really neat opener .. I liked it how the song would rest briefly to explodede into the next parts.
Closer - The lights for this were really awesome. Probably the best time I saw closer.
Non entity - Really cool. I liked the white vine things that surrounded trent!
La mer - the piano improv may have been my favourite part of the whole show .. really neat!!
Into the void - I liked it how it blended in from la mer
The big come down - So awesome to finally hear this live. !! woo!
the hand that feeds - the audience was really into this one!
all in all a great show .. I had great seats too.. 2nd last row in the 200 level section which was neat becuase I had never been closer then 400 level in the past!

Sweet mother of god... this was an EXCELLENT concert. The best I've seen in my entire life. Just got back to Ottawa. The crowd was awesome, the band was flawless. Loved it. I especially enjoyed the "canadian crowds never dissapoint" and the "it's nights like tonight, and crowds like you that make this whole thing fuckin' worth it" or something along these lines that Trent said. It was worth the whole 5-hour drive!!!

Wow. What a weekend. Got to the show around 12:00 with Dave and his wife. Met up with a ton of people and got a wicked sunburn. The Spiral was disorganized as per usual, letting us into the venue before 3pm only to have us spend over two hours in several different lineups in direct sun. Not so cool. Here's some more random tidbits I've noted:
- Peaches scared me. That is all
- Why was Peter Murphy wearing a girdle?
- Did anyone else notice all members of Bauhaus looked very mis-matched? The guitarist could have substituted for Motley Crue; the bassist for U2; and Murphy as Dracula. The drummer ... well, he just looked like a normal dude.
- Jeordie is a zombie. I'm convinced he dies every night and is brought back to life in time for the show by some ancient voodoo ritual
- Josh's double-kick during Wish = heaven. Actually, I really enjoyed Josh's energy. A fantastic drummer.
- Jeordie White should be kicked out of the band. I've never seen someone look so disinterested in being on stage in my life. Do us all a favour and take a walk.
- That was the tamest floor I've ever seen. I was rail-hugging to Jeordie's right, and have never been more comfortable at a show in my life.
Aaron North is always hyper.. it amazes me how he can run around for so long. |D

amazing show! i had not so good seats but its ok, because somehow my good friend jeramy got me and my bf on the after party list. so i got to drink with aaron and jeordie, and i got hugs and autographs from them both so i was in rockwhore nirvana. totaly worth nearly dieing on the way home to NY.
aside from that, trent seemed to be in aaron world bouncing around the stage with him going crazy.

Fucking amazing show! The pit was a bit tamer than I was expecting but I'm not complaining. Everyone was just dancing around having a wonderful time. I know a lot of times when I caught someone's eye we would just smile at each other. No annoying crowdsurfers too and no pushing in between songs allowing me to breath. The setlist was also incredible (are they not allowed to give the setlists to the crowds? I asked a roadie for one and he said he couldn't so he threw me a guitar pic instead). Down in it and somewhat damaged as people have said were splendid but I was mostly impressed by sin. That song alone was worth all the money I spent.

Anyway...show was awesome. I saw them in Jones Beach 1 week before. I have to say Bauhaus was much better on saturday than they were in Jones Beach. NIN rocked the house again..ton of energy the pit was crazy. I was really scared for my life at certain parts of the show. When aaron took his stage dive it caught me completely off gaurd. I did not see him jump, I just felt something hit me and i look up, and there's aaron fucking north. Anyway, some girl got his boot to the face which totally sucks, but she was totally rocking out as she got taken out of the pit. I hope she's ok. Looked pretty bad. Anywho, I was covered in sweat spit water and every other bodily fluid, and it was fucking amazing. I survived my first NIN pit, and to boot, i got one of Josh's drumsticks. Hells yeah bitches.

i liked the variation of the setlist from the few shows i had seen before, the pit in an ampitheatre was so undersold, but it made for an interesting experience because most of the fans in there were pretty dedicated to smashing up in the front and having a good old time and then if you wanted you could step back, be able to breathe and still be right up there with a great view,

Yes, anyway, now that my memory has been jogged a bit more — Trent did mention something about taking a break after this tour in order to finish the new album, but that he'd probably be back touring afterwards. Peter Murphy also made quite a funny comment about his mowhawk'ed tech being a wannabe rockstar attention whore... heh. Jeordie did look a little bored up there once or twice; I only really noticed it during "Dead Souls", the rest of the concert he was headbanging furiously. I spotted him, Josh and Aaron watching Bauhaus during "Double Dare" from the monitor mixing board!

Yeah during closer i noticed Jeordie totally getting into hit with the headbanging. Those guys are having so much fun up there. I can't wait to hear what the new stuff sounds like, and i can't wait to see them tour again. Yeah, from where i was in the pit i could only make out jeordie standing and watching bauhaus' set. T'was a great show... PEACHES FUCKING ROCKED THE SHIT OUT THE PLACE!!! People who don't like her, are hearnig her well enough (and believe me, it's not the sound technicians fault, but the listeners). Bahaus was alright, I am not a big fan, and watching Peter Murhpy dance is like catching one of your parents masturbating. Although the band are great musicians.
NIN was great, the set was tight, Aaron North dropped time in the solo's on Sin and Terrible Lie, mainly due to his flailing about, but it was completely acceptable since he was amazing for the rest of the show, and enegetic and everywhere during the whole set. This show was better than the ACC last fall... Better set list, and The Big Come Down has been tweaked nicely to sound better live... better crowd this time around.
Trent Reznor said "Candianites... never dissappoint." Later he said, "It's crowds like you guys that make me appreciative of being able to come out and perform." Closer to these lines than whatever was posted before... not like it really matters what the wording was.
The lighting and screens during Closer and Help me I am in Hell were gorgeous... Gave up did have really similar lighting to Fragility, same colour scheme. Non-Entity as a replacement for witha teetha, or Love is not Enough... suits me just fine, but I thought it was still the weakest song in the set, aside from Burn. I loved the Big Come Down though, Aaron North's soloing was spectacular (in almost all songs). I am not to sure about that intro to Only though... sounds a little U2-ish to me (and not good U2, but Vertigo/Elevation type of U2).
Peaches was great though... too much energy for people who have no idea who she is, and what she's about. But, one of the best signs of a great performer. That and JD on backing vocals and keys, she fits much better with peaches than Le Tigre. "Fuck the Pain Away" sounded great, as did "Rock Show" and the new material was too hot.

Hey guys, Amazing show as always! I'm not gonna get too much into the details as everything has pretty much been stated already and seeings how I just got home from my trip, i'm kind of late haha, but in either sense, it was a hell of an experience and I can't wait to do it again, the cage was awesome, the sound was tight, the crowd was perfect, the people I met from ETS and The spiral we're cool, everything was right on.
Still, doesn't top the best nails show for me though, Toronto 05_09_05 Kool haus club show went down in history for me.
Anyway, to celebrate my return, I thought I would upload a little something for you all, It's a video I shot in the pit for SIN.
It's kinda messy at times because I am in the pit after all and getting the hell bumped out of me, but I think it adds to the intensity of the experience, especially if you were right down there in the pit you'd know what I mean. So, enjoy the video. I have a few more too I am going to get around to posting, they are a little better, more stable and less shaky, after SIN i tended to shoot the slower ones and concetrated on keeping myself afloat durning the mad rush haha, was an awesome pit though!

What a great show!
Everyone have really said it all already how great it was. I would like to add that the visuals were really cool this time around. Trent’s speech about how nights like these make it all worth or something to that degree was flattering. Toronto fans should be proud.
I noticed Peter Murphy came to the side of the stage I was on and watched for a while. I think it was during Burn he came out, or at least that’s when I first noticed him. I was expecting to hear that there was Hole footage from the show because I saw Rob and someone else video taping at some points by me, but no luck.
Also, I cannot forget to say what a great time I had meeting some people from ETS at the show. It was fun talking to you ManBurning while we were waiting to get in, as well as your friend but I don’t remember his name on here, there were too many numbers and letters, haha! It was great to finally meet swindley in person after chatting with him for so long as well as ItsJustDave and his wife. Extremely nice people, had fun playing cards with you guys even though I usually wouldn’t shut up long enough to realize it was my turn to play, hahaha!
Funniest part of the trip had to be when I was talking to swindley about meeting other ETS members at the show and I mentioned there was even someone coming from Florida to the show named greyskies13. Not 5 seconds later greyskies13 walks up to swindley and introduces himself as greyskies13. What a weird coincidence!
I also got introduced to botley, sorry I didn’t really get a chance to talk with you longer but it’s cool to be able to put a face to your name now.
Anyways I’ve blabbed long enough about things most of you probably don’t care about. Thanks again for the great time to everyone I met and thank you to NIN for such a great show!

we got there late, and because of the damn cd store truck in the parking lot playing With Teeth, we thought that nin had already started.... that was a pretty weird experience.
we drove there from montebello, which is about a 6 hour drive, but we made it in about 4h30..... lucky we didn't get a ticket.
we met aaron and jeordie after the show at this bar in the venue, they were ok but seemed more interested in chatting with the blonde bimbos than the actual fans.... but still i was really happy to meet jeordie/twiggy as i'm also a HUGE manson fan, he signed my antichrist superstar shirt and i had a pic with him.
it sucks they had cancelled the ottawa show, i had floor tickets for that one but not for the one in Toronto..... oh well
it was a great concert all in all, even though we missed the first two bands.

Awesome show. Probably the best after the May Club show last year. Awesome to hear la mer and into the void. Somewhat Damaged was by far my fav song to hear live. I wish I could see the expression on the folks behind me who had never heard or seen nin and were there because they were given the tickets. At any rate, awesome show.

This was a fun show and it was a blast to rock out with the Canadian fans.
Crossing the border back via car (I flew in after the Mansfield show) was bizarre. The border agent made us show her our ticket stubs to prove why we were in Toronto for just the day and kept asking us lots of questions. I can't believe day trips are all that uncommon. She must have been bored.

this was my 5th time seeing nin and id say it was the 2nd best...giving first to the koolhaus may10th. TONS of energy on stage and peaches is dead sexy. welp, maybe not sexy at all. anybody notice how toronto / most of the canadian dates on past w/t tours has the most replies? maybe its cuz we're all high on the pot, you musta been...sooooo...hiiiiiigh!

I noticed that too. The Toronto and London dates from previous tours had the most replies. I think canadians just really apperciate bands like NIN to come up here and play for us because it's nothing I've ever seen before.

anyways ill give this show a 8.5/10 the only reason its not a 10 is because there was no starfuckers inc.(5 shows and no starfuckers???) and becuase playing help me Im in hell and then not going into happiness in slavery is the biggest cocktease ever.

Haha, that is halairious that someone else yelled that out. I pointed it out to my friend (neverworship on ETS and Letters and symbols on the spiral) and He got all excited, 'cause we were joking about Trent not having a vacuum cleaner on tour to perform that song and that's why it never got played live.
So, he yelled out as loud as he could "SUNSPOTS VACUUM CLEANER!!" anf some guy behind us came up and said "sunspots is the opener?" and we were like...uhh...no, and we tried to explain to him the vacuum cleaner scenario and how the sound durning sunspots is a vacuum and he was so confused, he was just like "uhh...oh" My friend was like "are we crazy or something, 'cause why didn't he understand what we were saying?"

I can only remember a few of the Bauhaus songs from their set...not sure of the order though. In Fear of Fear, Rose Garden Funeral of Sores, Double Dare, Adrenaline, Silent Hedges, Ziggy Stardust, She's in Parties, God in an Alcove...that's all I can remember now. I thought they were pretty good but when they played in 1998 at the Guvernment (now Kool Haus) they totally kicked ass, makes a huge difference in a smaller venue

Took my 15 year old daughter to the show for her birthday. She loved it. I also took her to the Nov. ACC show - helping spread the muscial edumaction
This show was way better than the ACC show mostly due to an incredible audience vibe and better set list (tho I would have loved to hear Heresy, Star Fuckers and/or Happiness In Slavery). I couldn't believe how everyone just sat and watched the ACC show (at least those not on the floor). Man, you can't sit and watch a NIN show you gots to participate! We had such a blast. Nothing like NIN live. Can't wait to see them next time 'round. I promised her I'd join the Premium Fan Club so we could right up front next time. Nothing like NIN to keep the teenager in me alive and kickin'!
And so, now I have to ask, does anyone have a audio boot of this show like the one that was posted for the Nov. ACC show? My iTunes is beggin for it...

Anyway, I thought that this concert was a lot better than the ACC in November. More people were standing... Tons more energy from the audience. The setlist was better as well.
It was really annoying and stupid when the 2 guys sitting in front of me spent the entire times during Peaches' set yelling at her to take off her top. Fucking assholes.
By the way, what was the song that Bauhaus played with the saxophone?

Haha I didn't hear that, but I would have gotton it right away. My friend works at a pizza place and had the worlds oldest fridge, and it makes the EXACT same sound as Sunspots. there were no local reviews of the show, i was kinda chuffed that the hip got one but nin didn't.

yeah. im gunna say it. that was really the best night of my life. but allot of it has to do with the fact that i was with the girl I like. mouthing the words to hurt, looking over and seeing she was doing the same was tottaly toching. im just sad it was over.

Truly an amazing show. I originally purchased the tickets primarily to see Bauhaus; one of the favourite bands from my youth. I had also seen NIN four times previously, beginning in 1990 and ending in '95, and hadn't been 'into' Trent and co. as much in recent years (though I find With Teeth to be quite excellent).
I was unprepared for how awesome the show was; from the performance, to the lighting, to the crowd. It all culminated in an experience I'm glad I didn't miss.

When I was standing in the Spiral line (maybe the two girls in front of me read this) this woman with her child came and stood in line in front of the two girls. She just stood there looking ahead in the line. Everyone had this "what the fuck" look on their faces, because, not to stereotype, but she looked about in her mid-30s, family homebody-type, wearing a flowered dress and a beach bag - it just didn't fit. So aftr a few second she turns around and asks "Whats this line for?" the girls reply "Nine Inch Nails" she just looks a bit past them, slightly confused. They finish with "the concert.... for the band, Nine Inch Nails". The woman then turns around and just wanders off. Weird.

I think with four shows in TO, in little over a year, the mainstream papers probably found another review to be unnecessary - especially given the small amount "entertainment" reporters they have to cover the entire beat, and that there were other notable concerts that day - The Tragically Hip; Bachman/Cummings. I wonder if Twiggy ever thought he'd be playing the piano with Trent 10 years later in a soft piano/vocal duet. Totally fuckin wicked.
And, as a general comment, probably the best show of the 3 I've seen this tour. Only thing it lacked was a little bit of energy. But those dudes have been touring for ages, I'm not surprised. Trent even said "we've been touring this album for what... like 20 years now?" Jeordie rolled his eye's like "fuck yeah, feels like forever I'll be glad when It's done". Hhaha
Nevertheless, an awsome show. The visuals blew my mind- especially in Help Me I'm in Hell and Non Entity.
Spectacular.
2 Years, we'll be seeing them again, assuming the new album will be out spring 2007 as Trent mentioned on KRoq.

Disagree with you on the energy part... the band was totally wild and energetic, complete contrast to the ACC show.

For sure the energy from the bands to the crowd, back to the bands. Really mutualist, kind of transferable vibe. Aaron North was seemingly everywhere at once. Hot crowd, probobly fed the band that much more. I was at the show in the ACC back in November and although it was a good show, this one topped it ten fold.
I am not sure I understand all the Peaches bashing though... her set was brilliant, and her new material is really strong. I think it might just be a "Lost in Translation" scenerio, where maybe people couldn't connect because they're either unfamiliar with her, or they're just not into what she has to throw out there. Her music is a great anti-aesthetic movement that's really inclusive of cultures that are largely misrepresented. I liked her performance, she was thoughtful and energetic.

So many it's a Canadian thing...Trent loved Canada, Canada Loves Trent...Trent gives good shows to Canada...Canada gives good crowds to Trent.

As for the concert itself, I'm going to have to agree with everyone else that loved it. I was also at the London ON show back in March, and it was nice to hear a different set list and get different visuals. I was curious to see whether or not the concert would be similar, and I felt very pleasantly surprised.
When he started to play "Something I Can Never Have," I instantly got goosebumps. I was thrilled to hear that song played live.
All in all, I liked the Toronto concert better then the London show. The energy was so much higher, etc. It just...felt better. Then again, the London show had the stunning film play during "Right Where it Belongs," but I also enjoyed the newer visuals for the Toronto show (especially loved the purple tendrils featured in the toronto pic on nin.com).
It's the best concert that I've been to yet.

What surprised me last week was seeing Trent triggering the vocal samples on keyboard right before the first verse of "Sin", like he and Danny used to do in the old days... don't recall seeing that at any of the other shows since Fragility. Also, Jeordie and Aaron have started taking turns messing with Alessandro's KAOSS pad during the first verse of "Burn"!

Yeah this was my first NIN show. so much to talk about. what a great atmosphere. Show was way better than i was expecting. set was strong few songs i would have liked to have heard (starfuckers, we're in this, perfect drug) not sure if they even play those live but anyways. weather was great, thats always a risk you take at the amp. The one thing that suprised me the most was how amazing some of the goth girls looked. Now i dont want to sit here and sound like a pervert but this concert had an amazing percentage of hot girls. Peaches were interesting to watch. Bahaus was pretty sick. I enjoyed watching them. fist time i've been at a show where a band used one of those light cages like nails did. that was cool. I was worried that the light show wouldnt be as good as an arena because we were outside but to me it seemed fine. the merch was ugly. thats all im going to say about that. beers were good. Trent mentioned a new album. I doubt that will come out soon (hope I'm wrong) but all in all I'd have to say I've been bitten by the bug and I can't wait for another NIN concert. I'm already looking forward to it.

Best show ever. My first and certainly not last NIN show. Me and my friend got there around 3, and got our tickets around 3:30. We ran as fast as we could and got great spots in line. 30 minutes later, the spiral representive comes around and says, "Standard members must get out of line, and line up over here." Of course when I joined the Spiral, it said nothing about Premium members getting in early. So about 45 minutes after the fuckers with the premium memberships got in, the standard members started moving in, and stopped. Some pric came around yelling his ass off at the guy at the head of the line because he was advancing twords the gate without clearence from anyone. He threatened to kick him out for no reason, and was one the biggest assholes I've ever had the displeasure of seeing. Anyway 15 minutes after that us standard members finally got in.
After waiting in an almost empy pit for another hour and a half Peaches came on. WHAT WAS TRENT THINKING?!??!?!?! Words cannot describe how awful she was. During her last song when she ran through threw the audience, she decided to make me part of the show. She ran her hand through my hair, forehead, and, well I think you can guess where she went next (I think she gave me crabs). After a friendly fuck you, and waving of my middle finger, she left and was gone (thank god).
Next was Bauhaus, now they kicked ass. Peter Murphy is amazing on stage, I loved the old-timey suit he came out on, and his voice sounded great. My friend caugt one of the roses he threw into the audience (unfortuantley it was ripped to shreads during March of the Pigs). I really loved how they ended with Ziggy Stardust, definatly gotta check out more of their stuff.
Then after maybe, 25 min of waiting, Trent and the boys made their grand entrance. I couldn't believe how insane the pit was. That was definatly the best version of Somewhat Damaged I've ever heard. All the songs were played masterfully, especially everything from PHM. Other highlights I thought were, Into The Void, The Big Come Down, Dead Souls, Hurt, and Only. Visually I thought the big highlights were Closer, Help Me I'm In Hell, Non-Entity, and again Only. The set was very well crafted, I only wish there was more from With Teeth (Right Where It Belongs, Beside You In Time, Home, EDITS). But I'm not complaining. It was fucking amazing, Trent sounded absolutley great, Aaron was a complete madman. I doubt Trent had ever had a better tour, or show.

Some pretty strict policies with recording devices... so not likely a good copy of the show. Seeing some poor quality cell phone videos kind of taints the experience for me. Especially the songs you recall have the most vivid light set ups.

WOW, Im late as hell posting on this...But anyways. I was in the 400 section but i didnt give a sh*t i rocked my ass off.Was kind of sad, me and my girl and a few other older people where rocking hard but everyone else was kind of lame, when the show was done we where like 7 seats over from where we started from.....kind of wondered where all the other people went hah.
GAve all my energy into that gig, my neck hurt for a week, the long ass wait to get the tix was worth it.Cant wait to do it all over again very,very soon.

I thought this show kicked ass! I love NIN and BAUHAUS and thought it was one of the best shows I've ever seen. But I still liked the NIN/PERFECT CIRCLE show in Maple Leaf Gardens 2000 better though.
