The concert was awesome, the band had an excellent performance. I’ve watched a lot of NIN dvd concerts, and this was my frist NIN live concert, and it was too beautiful to be true. I arrived late, the floor was almost empty and most of the French audience seemed to be everything but NIN fans. Upstairs was full (weird), and the people downstairs seemed quiet boring during the concert (when the band was done the public didn’t ask for more, nobody, and NIN just finished their great concert).
Blin says that just Trent and Aaron were really visible, but I don’t know where Blin was. I was at the second row and it was pretty cool to have Trent and Jeordie just in front of me. The band really has energy. They made just a little pause in the middle. Watching NIN live is a wonderful experience. Trent’s voice seemed to be scratching our hearts, expressing the scream of dispair that we all know from his studio albums.
The AATCHB intro was really good, and in my opinion Love is not enough is a great song as intro. I was glad to hear Closer, Burn, and Gave up live, but I thought The hand that feeds was going to sound better live, which it wasn’t the case.
It’s true that the French audience was boring, and in the very front weren’t slamming each other, some were already very stoned and had to be removed by the security guards. Me and my friend sang all the lyrics, some people too, but I had the impression that most of the people came to the show just because they had money and time to do something fun during the weekend, or by curiosity.
Trent said during the show that NIN would keep on tour forever, so I’ll remember this kick ass concert!!
