it's always interesting when videos are up on youtube of the show before anyone has a word to say about it..

apologize for breaking the rules.

I went to it, and it was absolutly amazing. This was my second NIN concert and I enjoyed it much more then my first. THe crowd was awsome, and I was near the front. Mosh was awsome. Only song off Year Zero was Survivalism and the Mosh was crazy during it! LadyTron was way better then it was on album.

Setlist?

Totally different set than yesterday in cologne. Many songs from "Pretty Hate Machine" and "The Fragile". I am not going to try to list the songs in their correct order because I know that I am going to mess it up.

They definetly went from the intro bit of "la mer" seamlessly into "into the void", which was a highlight. Don't ask me for the rest, since I'm still completely exhausted.

To review: this was my second NIN gig also, and the first one was way better. The band was in top form yesterday though, but the audience spoiled it for me. Maybe it was just the spot that I was in, but the crowd was totally lame, just standing there with crossed arms, noone even dancing. Damn, I had a meter of space right in front of me. In Berlin 2005, I could have put up my feet and not fallen down. I could see a mosh pit in the first five rows or something, but that was all. And they totally blew the sing-along part of March of the Pigs. Well, as I said, the band was tops though. Trent's speech right before Survivalism seems to become a regular.

Oh, and Ladytron were better than I expected from reading the threads here. Quite likable in fact.

You forgot eraser and only.

Compared to the audience in Cologne on wednesday, the audience was definitely pretty lame and silent. On the other hand the location was wider than in Cologne, might have been a reason as well. And in Cologne it was impossible, NOT to dance and freak out from the first second.

It was great to see NIN twice in two days with two different setlists.

The niggy tardust-remix of survivalism was actually played before the show. Sounded slightly R&B-ish and slower than the original-version.

Well, Pinion _was_ the intro, HMIAIH was kind of an intro for Eraser, IIRC, La Mer was the intro for Into the Void, and The Frail was the intro for the Wretched. I believe they played a total of 90 minutes or so.

Wow... I got there after the doors opened and everybody was buying drinks and no one was near the staged, I was about 4-5 meters from Trent and I only went in about 30 minutes before LadyTron started.The mosh was definatly no metal band mosh, but was bigger then last time I saw NIN, and where I was the crowd was crazy. I was the really short guy wearing a black NIn shirt.

I tried to remember the setlist when I was home, but so tired that everything got blurry. Pinion was intro and I think 'Love Is Not Enough, Sin(God, my favsong!) and March of the Pigs' were next. Then...NOT IN ORDER:

I was at the middle of the front, so didn't know the crowd was lame or not. Yeah, some girl in front of me only took pictures. That was annoying. Though I was very impressived by the perfomance cause NIN hasn't visited my country Korea yet. I do love Germany. There's many chances hier to see such a great show. NIN rocks! It would be better, if I had had the tambourine XD

amazing videos , but are those green flashes when the strobe lights flicker part of the light show or the camera screwing up, either way it looks sick and kinda bugs my eyes out

I think it may be the camera. I get that too, and I think it could give me a seizure after a while. Fantastic videos none the less.

Does someone know the guy in the audience who could have been Trent Reznors double? Small, short black hair, wearing a olive green parka with a marilyn manson sticker on one arm. I did talk to him before the concert and he mentioned to be from Dortmund but I forgot to ask for any kind of address. He was also at the concert in Cologne. A message would be nice. Thanks!

people like you should stay at home, cause you were one of the ones standing around, werent you? shit on yourself, i had fun freaking out dancing all the precious time. It was awesome. I was at the first show at Brixton the week before, too and I have to say this performance in dortmund was much better. (but still I have to mention düsseldorf - fragility tour was still the best, Ive seen)

Where I was standing people were very kind, had lots of fun and definitely it was all one and I believe the band could feel it , too, that part of why they had fun, too. Brixton was more like a melting pot with all kinds of people in the crowd, puzzle parts that didnt fit and Trent still had a hard time with his voice. Nevertheless, Brixton Academy is the more impressive venue and besides I didnt see or hear people talking shit about standing around or fake plastic dreams of tambourines.

I tried to recontruct the setlist, but it seems I cant make the pieces fit no more, please correct me in the middle part, its all messed up in my head, so what?!:

no, Im not so sure, the line begins to blur *G* I just remember that the 3rd song was from PHM. First I thought of terrible lie, too because I definitely know I heard it somewhere But someone here mentioned s/he was sure it was SIN, so I thought I might be wrong and put it in third place. I might be wrong...

now again, when i think about it, down in it was somewhat one of the last songs and burn came after SICNH, didnt it:

noteguy has it right I'm pretty sure, and did anyone see an uber high guy trying to mosh to something I can never have, he was fucking annoying! and are we talking about the short guy with the beard wearing a green shirt? he was cool if so. and I could of sworn trent through 2 tambourines. one was caught right next to me, and I could of sworn he also threw one to a girl at the very front... could just be me though
