Is correct, I guess. Seeing NIN in porche arena was quite different from Columbiahalle. Less club atmosphere nevertheless better sound. Technically fine show.
North sucks.

okay, so the popo were quite weird... but nin were fabulous.
my little highlight was eraser, i loved the smoke and lights show. only and the hand that feeds were great too and gave up was the ultimate mosh song it think

i wanted to take fotos first but then i left my camera in my car, which i now regret... so: photos anyone?

after the show i tried to get one of those porsche arena posters spread a bit everywhere across stuttgart but especially around the porsche arena. we first drove into the city but couldn't get one, so we went back to the porsche arena and i went like "uhm, how fair are the chances to meet nin now?" and my friend was like "yeah, we'll be unsticking a poster and then suddently they will be standing infront of us, sure." in the end they didn't stand infront of us but it turned out that we were infront of the back/vip entrance, and when we left with the poster the tour bus just drove out of it and stopped behind us, which was quite funny

good show... the sound was great but the bass was a bit low in the mix, i think... could be due to my spot on the balcony though, which was a bit weird because people didn't move...

The setlist was a little bit disappointing to me because it was almost the same as the first Berlin gig I went to.

It was my first time to take seat, so I had a better chance to observe the audience. And I was amazed. A lot of ppl were still talking, drinking and walking around when the show was already on. I saw a girl dancing like she was in a disco. It suddenly reminded me of "Dance Party USA", but it was absolutely not funny at a nin show. All the ppl around me remained in sitting position. Most of time they were very quiet. I thought they at least would stand up. To be honest, the sitting place drove me crazy, and I kept wondering why I was here. Stupid me!

Anyway, it was still a great show. The sound was very good. I was looking forward to a little speech since it was the first time they gave a show in Stuttgart [as I remember], but Trent said nothing except "Thank you".

BTW, I ran into a guy looks extremely like Alessandro on my way to bathroom. [Maybe himself, who knows] LOL!

Yeah. Dead Souls was the most impressive shit within all three days.

That was one kick ASS show

A friend of mine nearly catched Josh's drumstick but the dude standing behind him was taller than him so he lucked out.

And Aaron was very thorough in destroying his guitar - you saw that he wanted to do it right

I was very glad that they played Lost Souls because this is the song that brought me to Nine Inch Nails in the first place many years ago. Still one of their best songs IMHO (even though it is a cover version).

I saw some newspaper photographers taking lots of pictures, that's why I ended up buying today's "Bild Stuttgart", "Stuttgarter Nachrichten" and "Stuttgarter Zeitung" - but nada.

If somebody finds an article about this concert, or whatever, please post about it.

stupid security...

Well, the show itself was great, but the girl behind me was annoying as all hell. You're NEVER next to the same people for the entire show when you're in the front, but just when I needed the laws to work for me, they don't!

Spiral people were let in at 6:30. Security was very lenient, though very friendly - and obviously clueless about how crazy Spiralers are. I handed them my water bottle as they patted us down, and the guy just said "It's OK, it's yours" so I had water. Yay. Then as we were going in further, security tried to stop us. Then we finally got inside, but on the upper level, and we couldn't figure out how to get downstairs. We frantically ran from door to door until security finally showed us the way. It's pathetic yet kind of funny how crazy we all are, even after so many shows. I ended up a lot closer to the middle than I like to be, on the rail. (Am I really complaining that I was too close to Trent?)

The girl behind me had no clue. When you are sandwiched in like that, you become one person! You jump together and move together and generally try not to squish each other to death. This chick was dancing around like a freak, bending her knees wildly and thrusting her entire midsection into mine like someone who has no idea how to fuck, slamming me into the barricade everytime I stopped fighting against her. So what should have been a great experience just annoyed the hell out of me. Thank God she ended up next to Taryn for the last 2 songs so she could experience it and ask "Dude, what the fuck?" afterwards. Hi Taryn! Glad I got to be next to you once, you lucky drumstick/tambourine/water bottle catching bitch! (Not all at one show, for the record.)

Trent didn't talk at all last night, and he didn't throw any water liked I desperately needed him to. Aaron kicked a few bottles way out there though. Dead Souls kicks ass live. Great energy by the whole band all night.

I only have 2 shows left before I head back to The States, which will probably be seen from a distance since I found out today I have bronchitis and can hardly breathe even when I'm just sitting still. European doctors and medications are damn cheap!

is the first row area for spiral members only or will I get the chance to get close to the band since I'm rather short and want to see as much as possible!

Usually the Spiral members take up the whole first row. Sometimes you can get a good spot off to the side, at the rail. Good luck.

I can't believe no one has really commented on how empty the venue was - it was extremely empty. Sure the standing area was full but along the regular seats - hardly anyone. I talked with someone who had seen Tool earlier in the fall and they said it was also like that. So it goes...
Good setlist, loved the lights during Eraser... but god I should have gotten down to the floor... no one stood up in the seats... kinda took me out of it.
Also, they were selling a t shirt for 50 euros? Are you shitting me? Granted it looked cool but jesus...

I can't believe they played Joy Division. Wow!

yeah, the people who were sitting (i still can't understand how one can buy seated tickets!) looked quite bored. they just... sat and looked!

i was quite happy nin were so powerful, for when i entered the hall and saw how empty it actually was i feared the concert could become quite lame. fortunately i was wrong.

They sat, looked and drank beer - and plenty!
I don't get why the organizers didn't advertise more, I bet many fans missed it because of that.

The concert was awesome and the sound was great!

Allright, there were articles about the concert, in both newspapers, the "Stuttgarter Nachrichten" and the "Stuttgarter Zeitung", but on the 28th and not the 27th.
The article in the "SN" was pretty good, but I've never read such a bad article than the one in the "SZ" before.
It wasn't really about the concert itself, but about Reznor suing his manager, going on tour before the release of a new album and the writer complained about the "expensive tickets" and so on and so on ...
I only have the "SN" article in print and there's no pic of the concert, but of an older promo shot of Trent.

maybe the photographers went partying after the gig and as they wanted to take loads of pics of themselves they erased the concert pics...? i mean, hey, this was juuust NIN, for the first time in stuttgart, and anyway, a destiny's child gig would be sooo much cooler.

Did you have the March "Prinz"? I wonder if there was something in it about the concert, or "Lift"? I saw that they were one of the mentioned sponsors on the concert poster. Too late I saw that "Das Ding" was, too. Now I wonder if they aired some of the songs during, or after the concert.
And what about the "WOM" magazine?
Since the concert was that late in March, the "old" March editions were no longer in the shops.

unfortunately i have none of them, and i don't listen to dasding anymore... (switched to motorfm) i have no idea, i'm sorry! but actually i was wondering too that dasding and lift were sponsoring the concert when i saw the posters. unfortunately i only got close to the posters after the show when my friend stole me one, so i couldn't buy any magazine

If you're talking about the free magazine you can pick up at WOM shops, I took one April issue. And the only NIN-related thing was a short review of BYIT DVD which was given three WOM-stars, and it's currently at No.7 on WOM music-DVD charts. Nothing else, at least I didn't find anything.

That's the magazine, yes, but I think if there was something in there about the tour, it must have been in the march issue.

no you must be confusing me with someone else
i mean it would be cool to be a spiral member, but not being doesn't make me sad and finally i prefer to be in the crown than prssed against the front rail

It might take a while to get an answer from someone, but anyways... is there any way to purchase a NIN in Stuttgart poster from the local promoter or anything like that? I was way to drunk to think of that at the time. It hurts so much, I think I could cry.

Sorry, I don't know about that, but even after the concert there was no way to buy a poster. The only way to get one, was to steal one from a poster wall.

no you had to steal it... and it's too late to do that now
