Great show - great to hear Deep and Survivalism and The Frail/The Wretched for the first time this tour for me.
I was about 15 rows from the front - nobody around me knew Survivalism at all.
Down in It was a highlight again for me.

Trent thanked the crowd for showing up and for their loyalty and seemed happy and glad to be there.

The venue was cool but a fucking nightmare to find with no signposts at all in the centre to direct you. I ended up asking a cab driver the way and finally got to the arena at 8-45 !

Stagedive from Aaron again at the end and overall a fucking great show.

Roll on Wolverhampton !!

Just got in- very long drive home!!

Was just a wicked gig- v weird venue and quite big but it felt full and Trent commented that he was glad so many people turned out and thanked everyone for their loyalty.

Highlights of the set for me were down in it, terrible lie and survivalism. the new song sounds good live and quite a few people around me knew what it was.

One thing that pissed me off was a crazy bloke (I was front centre for the first half of the gig) and him and his backwards missus pushed into the front. The girl next to me told him to fuck off and so did I and in the end security pulled him out. But his fat blonde missus stayed there and squashed us all. she yelled at me- 'ive been going to gigs since before you were born'! Boy love- can we ever tell. Got pulled out in the end to get away from her!!

All in all it was a great set- they were on fine form, I really enjoyed it and cant wait till tomorrow.
One of us got an extra special pressie at the end of the night but I will let them tell you all about it!!

i was in seats for this one, but i guess i generally agree with what everyone's said so far. incredibly bizzare to see nin in an arena - there was a certain intimacy and spark lacking, but that could just be due to where i was situated. i took lots of pics, and a short video, which i should be able to upload on tuesday

Awesome! I was wondering who got that!

I was about a row in front of you, was the arguement starting at the beginning of hurt or something you can never have? can't remember.
Hard to ever say a NIN gig would ever be anything but perfect, but even with the excitment of it being in my hometown, something was definitely lacking... can't quite put my finger on what though.
Great setlist it has to be said though - was very surprised to hear Deep to be honest!
Very impressed with the new stuff I've heard so far and Survivalism sounded absolutely amazing live!
Downside for me though - since when did it become acceptable to be near the front row of a gig and have a conversation with your mates at the top of your big f***ing gob! Especially during Hurt?!? I could have killed that girl....

Trent's little 'thank you for your loyalty' line was quite nice though.

Also - why so much smoke/dry ice!? Nuts!

Overall great - but I can't help but be left with the little wish that the gig was at Rock City instead!

Fuckin' great show. Met the band before hand and they all seemed pretty excited to be there. Trent said it was nice to be somewhere where "people speak english and the food is edible". Down in it was awesome, and Survivalism, Deep and Sin were highlights for me too.

Roll on Birmingham!

What's he going to make of Birmingham then...

Haha, worse is he has to spend 2 nights in that poop hole. Should be immense, though.

I told that crazy guy who was just shoving everyone to fuck off- he wasn't watching the band, he was just interested in pushing everyone, he given me a right bruise on my leg- twat!

Just wanted to say hello to the couple we met in the queue for spiral members. Both had come all the way from Michigan, had seen every show so far and were telling us how his Father (70+ years of age) had gotten into NIN after seeing them at Voodoo Fest. Awesome.
This gig wasnt as good as the Astoria gig from March 05 but it was cool to see La Mer, Pinion, Help me I am in hell and Down In It - none of which I've seen them play live before.
Survivalism sounds fucking brilliant live. Nice one, Trent!
Bricklayer
last night was my 1st NIN gig and it was by far THE best gig i've ever been to. by the end i was stood right in front of jeordie and about 1 row back.

They played everything i wanted them to play (sin, the wretched, gave up, closer) and also survivalism!

Survivalism sounds great as everybody has said, and from where i was there were some others who knew the words besides myself!
Master Traveler
I didn't hear the couple talking at the front BUT someone did have a whistle near me and he blew it during hurt- I hope he got hurt afterwards for that.
Master Traveler
Oh yeah, did anyone lose a nokia mobile? Not sure what model it was but it wasn't brand new or anything but me and a mate handed it in to the venue so if (on the off chance) the person who lost it checks this forum then ring the venue! :)
Oh...If I knew Peter Murphy was there I would have flown my ass to see this....

Heh, no Peter Murphy. I don't know where the fuck that came from.
Awesome stuff - would have loved to have got Ruiner but was v happy about Something I Can Never Have. Beside all the usual crowd pleasers, was nice also to hear Down In It, Eraser and Help Me I'm In Hell.

Shame about all the idiots when Hurt was being performed - some twat was intent on feeling me up and more - thankfully he shuffled elsewhere after I threatened to stick my elbow in his neck.

Many thanks to the lovely couple L + J from Manchester (!) for everything, that I was able to get a nice picture of Trent:

and when trent went to the keyboard for SICNH, did anyone hear the bloke shout "ELTON JOHN!"

then some other bloke further back goes "WHOSE JOHN?!"
it was funny for, oh seconds...
Is the set list shown above the same that we had in Birmingham last night? Bit of a newbie and have yet to learn all the songs.

WOW!!!!!!!!!!!! What a awesome gig. Long time NIN fan, but 1st time ive seen them and they rocked! Impressive setlist, little surprised at ONLY missing, but IMHO not their best song. Roll on Year Zero.
Master Traveler
good quality videos, thanks. Shame about people talking/singing in hurt but it is hurt so you can only expect people to sing along.

Hello!

This is my first post here.

I was at the Nottingham Arena gig on Saturday and had a great time. I was on my own in the seats but still pretty close.

I've seen NIN before back in 1994 at Manchester Academy which was great but I enjoyed Saturdays gig more.

Even though the Arena is a pretty large venue I still felt that the show was quite personal. I'm putting that down to the low lighting and the feeling I got from being there alone.

Here's some pics...

i wanted to hit them. i wouldn't have cared if they knew the lyrics and timing of the song.

there was more to the song but that idiot annoyed me to the point that imo he ruins the recording so i stopped filming.

I know I'm posting on this from the second page, but I was at this show and I just want to say thanks to everyone here for uploading some great pictures - I got a few, but I was front and centre in standing - about 3 or four people from the back, just a little to the right... I'm sure you can imagine the effects of March of the Pigs on a digital camera's clarity!

Cool show and cool bunch, except for the couple of people that seem to have annoyed everyone in the entire room at some point or other.
