Anyway, awsome,awsome, AWSOME show.

Highlights

Mr. Self Destruct completely ruled.

Trent really seemed to enjoy it, told us we were a good crowd and traded "friend" for "friends" whilst singing "hurt".

The swinging lamps during "eraser", really set a great mood with such a small tool.

Very nice to hear "Heresy".

Trent sang like on a record for the whole show.

Conclusion

Nin > Sex

Right.. shitty arena, great show. Always nice to watch NIN, especially so in my own city... First time he performed in Stockholm and 2nd time in Sweden.

No extras, as usual. But Trent did speak in between some songs. I don't yet know if I like this new, public-oriented, Trent or not. ;)

That was the best concert I've seen in my life. Everything was just perfect: the setlist, the band, Trent's voice... I loved every single minute.

When Pinion faded into Mr. Self Destruct I felt as if my heart was going to burst in my chest. Awesome.

Great concert!

We were worried that TRent would be bored after his blog post in the spiral "current mood: bored" and "i'm feeling depressed", but he seemed very content and in a great mood.

Aaron North was crazy like hell! Hightlights for me was Burn and Survivalism.

Ladytron was better than expected but not more.

I'm at the ferry on my way back to Finland and haven't slept much so I'll keep this short.

It was a great show. Trent seemed to be on good mood. I think at some point he even played something improvised on the piano, kinda working with the moods of the crowd.

I was at the front, in front of Aaron. Got crushed but not badly. Took some pictures, but they're bad.

Hoping the good mood will last 'till Helsinki. The crowd was great, too. Can't think or write right now, more on tuesday morning, my time.

It was a very good show, and a great set list. I had one particular song on my "wish list": Something I Can Never Have, so of course I'm happy. They seemed to find the volume button around the middle of the set, from Burn (another of my favourites) and onwards the volume was higher. Which was a good thing.

I think you're right about the piano improvisations, sertse. Of course I'm not 100% familiar with exactly everything NIN has ever done, but there were at least two occasions when he did some short piano stuff that I didn't recognize, which then faded over into songs I knew.

I absolutely loved Survivalism live. The live bootlegs I have heard so far did not prepare me for how good it really sounds live. I need to get my hands on a really good quality live recording of that one.

Trent seemed to be in a good mood but his voice is getting a little bit tired, at least that's the way I felt during Hurt. Hurt was by the way thoroughly destroyed for me because of a dead drunk guy who persisted in shouting the lyrics (the WRONG lyrics, on top of that) of the chorus into my left ear, and commenting on how lovely the song was. *arrrgh!*

There is one distinct disadvantage of being a 5ft2 girl in a 98% male audience - you don't see a lot of the stage. But nevermind that, I had enough space around me to be able to dance and move around.

Hahaha, I was lucky enough not to have that problem, but I spoke to others who also had the song ruined by singing drunks..

When the handclapping started during "Hurt" and everybody began singing along...wow.

I was up on the balcony, so I had a great view of the stage. And was it just me or was the sound much better than usual at Annexet?

I hesitated for a moment if I should go up on the balcony as well, but decided against it. I felt that the balcony was more for standing still, and I didn't want that. Perhaps it was the wrong impression, but I just felt like I wanted to be able to move around freely (read: jump up and down like crazy...)

Amazing gig, was hoping for Dead Souls & Down In It, the one and only letdown, powerful stuff. Favourites have to be Something I can never have & The Wretched.

I heard Down In It was cut from the set list.

"Just like you imagined" was one of the only songs i missed during their performance here, and "Ruiner".

And Ladytron was ok, "destroy everything you touch" was a blast.

Amazing show but not the best I've seen. It is noticable that this was one of the last shows before leaving for Asia.
Best so far was Hultsfred 2005.
Best yesterday was Mr Self Destruct.

It was also nice to see the band (unfortunately without Trent) joing the party at ROCKS after the show.

Trent, you're becoming God.

Great show. Not as good as I expected, but still well worth my time and money. Hultsfred 2005 was better and this setlist was a bit weak... to many "standard songs" (if anything NIN can be called that). But I'm happy anyway (if not every part of me, including my back). Now I'm crossing my thumbs for another show this summer... it "feels" unlikely though...

I was a bit worried that the show might be cancelled when I saw the tour schedule. Three nights in a row, all in different countries is tough man! (especially since he cancelled one in UK because he had to rest his voice). Yet Trent pulled it off, and like many others have said he seemed to be in a good mood.

I got crushed pretty badly in the crowd, but managed to get out and find myself a nice and calm spot on the side, and I still saw more than I did in the middle!
*I hate being short*.

I do not like "Annexet", it's such a shitty arena but yet that didn't seem to matter once NIN began their show. Way to go!

Don't know if it's of any help, but the venue opened at eight in Norway, Ladytron played from nine to half past nine and then NIN began at ten.

I think the timing was just about the same for Stockholm, that is Ladytron on stage 1 hour after the doors open, half hour set, then NIN on stage two hours after the doors open. I think NIN came on stage just a little after 20:30.

Ladytron went on at about 19:20 and went on for 37 minutes.
I.e. they went on before the stuipulated concert time of the ticket I had..

Home and well rested, for a while.

As I wrote earlier, I was at the front infront of Aaron. It wasn't as tough as I had thought it would be, the worst bit was that the railing was to my armpits, and I felt all the pressure from the crowd on my sternum. It still hurts quite a bit but I'll it all again today.

Then about the show:

I wasn't really familiar with Ladyton before. They were quite nice, but I felt like something was missing, maybe some sort of impulsiveness - every movement seemed to be rehearsed. Other than that, I enjoyed the band, especially the songs in the other launguage (Bulgarian?).

NIN was great. I was especially hoping for Heresy and got it(!!!!). What could be a better way to spend Easter Sunday than by singing "God is dead and no-one cares"? Also HLaH was a lot of fun, even though the bowing down completely destroyed what was left of my sternum.

The songs from YZ sounded really good live, I especially liked "The Beginning of the End".

It was amazing how well the mood changes in the concert worked. The change from La Mer to Wish, for example. From one extreme to another, and it felt all good.

I really enjoyed the improvised piano parts. It felt like trent was listening to the crowd, and then replied to it through the piano, then it was the crowd again, then the piano.

Eraser is one of my favourites, and it worked amazingly live. The strange UFO-like lamps swinging helped in creating a surreal atmosphere that was exatly how the songs feels like to me. It was like a dream gone horribly wrong, still captivating and beautiful in a really twisted way. Later I was told that the security person close by was looking a bit terrified when the crowd was screaming "kill me" over and over again.

Hurt was beautiful. Seeing this song performed live back in Provinssirock in 2005 is pretty much what caught my attention because it was so bare and genuine, it's what made me realize that the music was genuine, and not just a performance. Trent seemed to be pleased with the crowd's reactions to to the song, his "thank you" at the end was very clearly pronounced.

The small man has created great music. He changes the atmosphere fast and smoothly. He takes a strong hold of his audience, and gives so much to those who listen.

Awesome show. Not sure if it was better than Hultsfred though. The Hawaii stage really worked for them. My legs and feet hurt like hell from all that jumping up and down though, had to do it to get a clear view of the stage during the moshier songs. Great setlist but I was kinda hoping for Ruiner and Last. Oh, well - maybe august in Oslo!

I was definitely hoping for Last, that would have rocked. But the show was amazing. I saw them in London in 2005, and that performance beat this one by a millimeter or two, but this one is by far the second best concert I have ever attended.

I was in London as well. Second Astoria show! I'd rate that third of NIN shows I've been to. I guess my fever and being way too drunk and tired had something to do with it. Hultsfred beats this gig because of Hawaii being such a great stage really giving this epic feel to the bands performance, and because of my perfect spot close to stage but more or less without moshing and keeping a great view throughout. Trying to stay by the fence at this one was pure suicide.

Very awesome, indeed! I'll definitely go to both the Oslo and the Gothenburg festival gigs. NIN so close to home, twice in a few days! I'm happy.

thank you both. I got a bit late to the show but I probably would've been even more late if I wouldn't have had a timeshedule example to get me rushing.

missed somewhat damaged and last and half of herasy but I saw the rest of the show and loved it tons!

Great god damn show!

Even though the setlist was quite similar to Copenhagen I truley enjoyed this show! Had great view standing pushed to the fence in the "Tit zone" Amazing crowd!

Thought it was worth mentioning that fact that NIN are back in August to play Hovet !!!

Already got my ticket for that one. Yes, I confess. I could not resist the temptation of the advance sales so I joined the Spiral. Saves me from trying to get out of a meeting that I really can't cancel the day the tickets are released.

Did they play Piggy at this show? The setlist says they didn't and I personally can't recall it, but just now I downloaded a crappy video of Piggy from Pirate Bay and it claims to be from this gig. And even though the quality is low the venue could easily be Annexet.
