Good show. My fourth, but the first one in my home town.

Weather was cold (for summer) and overcast, occasional drizzle but no heavy rain. Huge crowd, I would estimate that at least half of the ~60K ticket holders were there in front of the main stage.

NIN kicked off five minutes past schedule, at 9:35pm. Sound was okay, pretty loud but enjoyable (much better than the March gig in Vienna). First couple of songs were pretty intense, very tightly packed crowd as usual. After the first block, the light wall came down and was used for four (?) songs. Neat looking stuff, although I preferred the Fragility visuals.

Trent only spoke once for a longer time, he mentioned that they're sometimes playing festivals they don't know, not knowing what to expect. He said we were "a great fucking crowd". He also spoke about Skinny Puppy who played the day before and that he went to see them (see the pics here). He also mentioned that NIN opened for Skinny Puppy on their first tour "500 years ago".

Show lasted till 11:10pm and ended with Hurt (surprise for me, I didn't know they changed their usual THTF-HLAH ending lately).

For a 95 minute set, I think the list is pretty long (order might be screwed, please correct):

only 2 person??? Ah yeah it's Sziget festival... everyone drinking all week...
I's seemed to me that was a painless, fast, routine concert... A little bit short set, and the songs where somewhat shorter (???). But it was great, everyone was in a good mood (the audience can be so fucked up on Sziget... :S). I was somewhere in the last row, I couldn't saw anything (yeah) but the sound was ok.
Anyway it was a 100% festival concert, after this fancy Budapest debut I hope they'll come back someday.

It was amazing! The setlist was great the sound and the band tooooo.
And Heresy, Suck, No You Dont was a very big suprise for me.

Please come back somedaaaaayyy
maybe when the whole world went away????:))))))

yup....I hope NIN do better concerts than this one...it was...ok...the set was the usual stuff...the sound I think was crap for a festival of such a supposedly high profile.

i was in the front ...on the left...trying to have a good time...but...around me there were either wasted western teenasgers who consider smashing themselves into other people highlight of their musical appreciation...or the nerdy types with their preciousssss cameras in orgasmic spasm trying to get the right angle and frowning at me screaming myself along...or those girls that someone really needs to explain to what make-up is used for...and there was rain ....and mud...and a band that didn't go all the way and lose themselves in the moment...sorry guys....due to unlucky set of circumstances and wrong location and belonging to a different social strata I have so far attended only a few concerts...(four or five)...but this was one that I will have nothing special to remember for... except for two or three little moments...


it was like regular sex...i hoped for something a bit more special...something that makes you shiver at the glimpse of it afterwards.

...it was a fast set...and hurt somehow didn't belong ....dead souls fit perfectly...and i lost my voice...thanx for visiting my backyard.

I've been to loads of festivals in all of europe, and unfortunately the sound at sziget was quite good in comparison to most other festivals

loved the show, great setlist - and to my mind, great sound! though, I've seen them better, but still it was one of the best shows this year!

It was a great show! The guys are so powerful and energetic! They smashed about 3 guitars and some mic-stands. It was funny to watch how they jumped around and kicked and smashed things (although I think they don't need to do it, poor technicians). I was on the right on the barrier and it was really narrow, hot and exhausting, but it was worth it. The screen and the visuals were cool, but I want to watch them perform. Trent is so sexy, it seemed he looked in my direction, but there was a camera in between and I got his terrific look - yummy. He throws two tambourines in the crowd - unfortunately I didn't get one.

I think the sound was quite okay. And they played about 100 minutes - that's ok, Í suppose.

I enjoyed the show very much. Especially The Great Destroyer sounded and looked awesome! And Eraser, too. I think I liked those two the most (at this show).

what a boring setlist..just the hits and well..yeah some new tracks..i really liked the great destroyer but as a whole i didn't liked it..it was a lame festival-metal-rock-show

i don't like how they are live at the moment...i would like it more arty..

well, I'm just back in Helsinki from Budapest. Had a pretty good time as well, except for getting a mild sunstroke walking around the city after the festival. Anyway, I was looking forward to a great gig but to my great dismay - while everything up to NIN had been mixed well and sounded pretty damn decent, NIN's sound mix wasn't nearly on the same level. This made me a sad panda.

Later on, when we saw Tool on Monday, my friend who's been listening to them and was really looking forward to it told me the same problem plagued Tool. Gah, both of our favourite bands end up being mixed worst.

On the other hand, it was still NIN, and I enjoyed nevertheless.

I recroded the show and will put it up on dime soon if there is interest. It was a pretty good show with an excellent sound as you will most likely hear.

Sure, it was great. Only that we ran out of festival stamina and had to skip the last day and instead stay at the centre. Though a problem with big festivals -> you never see everything you're planning to.
