For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever and ever. Amen, that was an awesome show. trent looked liked he was in a good mood.
The first three songs everybody stood there, but when "March of the Pigs" was played, all hell broke loose. The venue was beutigul, and you weren't ppushed around that much.
I was happy to see the great destroyer, it was amazing, also Only. but no captial g.
when they played suck, on the screen you could see the desktop (robs?) and a folder called "TGD Videoc clips" interesting.
Trent spoke to the audience after Suck (not original tone, but in a way)
"What a beautiful Place. I have something to say. We're sorry that we couldn't play the last time because the God's didn't wanted that way.
Was it here?.... oh... Interlaken.... it was in interlaken.
So we have a new Album out, it's aviable on the internet, you can download, and give it to your friends, i allow you to do that"
all in all a great show
(sorry for my english^^)

Amazing show, indeed!
Zurich was nice because I was in the front row, but Trent seemed so much more into it in Avenches. Plus, the visuals were MUCH better this time.
Have NIN always started their concerts out of nowhere or when did they start doing so?
I know they did so both in Zurich and in Avenches. I totally wasn't prepared for it when they launched into Hyperpower!
My personal highlights included Me, I'm not and The Great Destroyer. Simply stunning.
I also enjoyed The Good Soldier a lot (one of my favourites off YZ). I was pleasantly surprised by No, You Don't. I never really liked that song too much, but it's pretty cool live.
There was quite some hassle going on for me surrounding this show, but the concert definitely more than made up for everything! THANX Trent & Co. for a fantastic show!
I took some pix with my mobile phone cam. Not the best quality of course, but I guess I'll share them with you, folks:

I went all the way from Tehran to go there and see the show and a Tool concert the next day at the Gampel Festival and I must say it was worth it.
The crowd was energetic, while all the band members gave such a phenomenal performance. Believe it or not it was me and my mom and we were pretty much in the front. The obvious drunks were "dancing" around after March of the Pigs when it got wild, which really pissed you off at some points, especially the shoves and everything, but except for that I really can't recall a dull moment from the whole show. A set-list I marked out for... And The great Destroyer was phenomeal. I mean, I was just in disbelief through not only TGD but the whole concert, it felt like a dream for me being able to see Trent for the first time on stage.
Something pissed me off though, the next day we went back to Laussanne and in the local newspaper it had something like this written in French: "One of the highlights of the whole show, was when Trent Reznor played Johnny Cash's Hurt." Oh God. I respect Cash, but it's unbelievable how the media has really took all the credit from Trent and gave it to Cash.
Amazing performance overall. I know, no one's gonna' here me, but thank you, Trent! When I move there in a few days, I'm hoping to see them again!...

WOW! Thanks for all the pictures, guys!
(sorry to go back to that NOW but I've only just joined)
I was at that show too and it was amazing indeed - certainly the best gig I had ever seen! I liked NIN before but that show made me become a real fan. I more or less discovered a new side to Year Zero during that show as well, and I really enjoyed the Joy Division cover.
Sadly, it's true what Morad wrote about that journalist not knowing Hurt was NIN's and not Cash's but well... it's a really shitty newspaper too.. it was already a wonder they could spell Trent's name correctly!
Anyway, AWESOME show! I hope to be able to see NIN live again soon.
