Well, that and my I fucking had to switch memory cards for my crapy digital video camera in the middle of Down In It. So I will be posting a video for that with a message in the middle explaining the sad scenario.
It was a minor dissapointment that "Me, I'm Not" was not played. But visually it's not all that different from "The Warning".
I'd post some pictures and video but my mom wants me to go to sleep soon 'cause we're going to the zoo tommorow (saying that makes me feel a bit like a child in a 24-year-old's body).
Also, I'm not sure if she's on these forums but the gal who was sitting next to me complimented me on this like mexican "Day of the Dead" bead band that I had around my right wrist. I just got it from the arcade at the Mall of America earlier that day. lol
I was also the guy who scream "Thank you Trent!" when they started playing "The Wretched".
Okay so maybe The Wretched Down In It Reptile was not enough said for me. It was pretty sweet to be staying at the Radisson just a couple blocks away from the Venue. Met a couple dudes in the elevator who were also at the show.
Anyway, gotta wrap this up now, I just copied and pasted this from my post on the nin.com forums and now I'm going to turn in for the night.
I'll be able post some of my stuff tommorow morning, hopefully.

This show was fucking fantastic. I was on the back rail in front of the mixing station. The crowd really seemed to get into it at March of the Pigs, like always I guess. The visuals seemed really spot on, I didn't notice any sort of fuck ups.
The Wretched, wow, hearing that transition while expecting Closer was amazing. For me 31 Ghosts IV was the highlight, i wanted that song so bad ha.
On a humorous note, this guy was completly wasted and also completly soaked and stumbled into the back rail literally moving me over. He sat down then eventually stood back up and then passed out failing DIRECTLY on his face, wow , if you read this i hope your ok but it was funny. And no Hand That Feeds, that was nice.
And question, maybe I have just missed it but does he always sing some of "The Only Time" during that breakdown.

I had a super fun time.
I handed out like twelve Option 30 DVD's (3 of which were in bathroom stalls, lawl) and five copies of Meathead's Lights in the Sky Coloring Book 2.0 before security approached me:
"You can't hand those out in here."
"What? Coloring books?"
"Come with me."
I ended up putting the rest of my 'stash in storage with them for the duration of the show, which was totally fucking awesome. Except when I got home all 3 of my shirts smelled like fifty different sweaty men.
Oh, I did hear the best line ever, too.
"Man, Trent is really ripping on that xylophone!"
After the show I tried to sneak some Option 30 DVD's to some guys in the Afterparty, and security was like "fuck no" and pretty much walked me out. After I left I found a guy with an All Access pass at the backdoor and he told me that he'd make sure a few copies got to the right people.
And then I briefly met up with Leo at Pizza Luce to give her an Option 30 DVD and some random people in the area.
Great show. I'm exhausted.

Fantastic show! My favorite concert yet.
I was going to do video, but these stupid drunk fucks kept trying to jump over the first row(me) to get to the floor. Security was all over the place jsut under my feet. I just got the first 2 minutes of the show. It wouldn't have been good anyway with all the drunk people bumping into me constantly.
I did get full audio of NIN, but it is a pretty shitty recording. I thought I shut my audio rig off when I put my camcorder away, but I found out in the middle of the show that I was still recording, so I just ran with it. My mics were knocked out of position by some dude behind me. Check on dime for the recording later this week.
The show was great though, cept for the drunk people by me...

Aside from that; a fucking brilliant show. So much greatness, I even enjoyed watching closer again, especially with that demonic looking trent image all distorted and such

Pretty much summed it up there with Wretched, Reptile, and Down In It. That was an intense concert, and I loved every damn second of it. You know, Only is much much better live than I expected.
Also, Boris was... I think the word I'm looking for is terrible, but ear shattering also works.

I met up with a couple people at Pizza Lucé after the show. Someone said Trent walked by her but didn't stop for anyone. Must have either been in a hurry to get to Council Bluffs or he knew that if he stopped to sign one autograph or pose for one photo, he'd end up doing it for everyone else.

My friends saw him at a sandwich shop a few hours before showtime but chose not to bother him.
I would have maybe stalked him a bit after the show (if I had seen him) and waited until there weren't so many people around, and then asked for a picture/sign my tambourine.

It was a great show, but it got nothin on the Red Rocks show.
Sad for no Vessel, but loved Down In It.

This was originally supposed to be the night before my flight left for Mexico to get married, which would have been awesome.
It was still a great show though. I have only had the pleasure of seeing nin a few times and this was easily my favorite. I opted with seats instead of floor tickets this time and am definitely happy I got to chill and watch all the cool stuff happening instead of the back of someone's head because I'm too short!

I tried to get footage of most of the songs I didn't tape in CR and get still pictures of the songs that I taped in CR. Oh dammit, just watching 1,000,000 and my video camera's sounds is CRAP, obviously not designed at all for conerts.
I'm pretty sure I caught the BSOD in The Great Destroyer-of course you have to be looking for it, otherwise you'll blink and it's gone. That one screen they had in Survivalism I'd heard of before, so I'm pretty sure it's staged or pre-recorded. I don't think they had it at CR, maybe the Ministry of Morality cesnsored it that time. lol
My Dad said he was getting weird looks because he was wearing a SWAT hat he got from Dave and Busters. I probably won't be able to post any pictures or anything until I get back home since we don't have a lot of time here at the hotel.

I was basically on the rail slightly to the right of Robin. It was awesome because I am only 5' 5", which usually means I can't see well above all the taller guys but I was lucky enough to be behind three chicks that were on the rail that were all 5' or less! I was able to get my hands on the rail to keep myself steady, hold my place, and keep everyone from crushing the ladies!
No one has commented on the actual performance yet! Robin seemed like he was really into it, and he was doing some funny dance moves to make Josh laugh during the more 'techno-y breaks'. He did his stomp thing quite a bit and basically made sure he was never standing in one place too long. Trent gave a hell of a performance, flawless as usual, and seemed to be having a great time. Quite a bit of mic stand throwing too. Not much chatter until the end where he apologized for the rescheduling and saying the band is having a great time, and trying hard to make it up to us. I didn't see JMJ very much except during the Ghosts part. Alessandro stayed behind the keys as expected, but I saw a few grins from him too. Overall, the band had a lot of energy, but from where I was, the crowd didn't give quite as much back. MOTP was by far the most intense song, crowd-wise. Probably followed by Down In It.
This is my second time seeing NIN, first was on With Teeth at Xcel Energy in St. Paul. That time I was in the seats, but this time I had the advance floor tickets. This system kicks ass and I hope they do it for every other show! I didn't even get to the arena until probably 6 pm and still got one person from the rail without any trouble at all.
Only thing that sucks is we had to drive back to Fargo (3 1/2 hours away) and I had to work at 8 am this morning. Oh well, no work for thanksgiving, so I'll make the sleep up later!
Oh yeah, and shirt prices were ridiculous. I would have bought two at $25 each, but no way will I spent $70 on two shirts that won't last even two years. I think a lot of people felt the same way.
If anyone on here is from Fargo or around there, send me a PM! Would love to talk to other local nin fans - I am 26/m btw.

My 9th NIN show and hands down the best one ever! Had the best spot in the venue along with Leo. I want to thank the big dude who protected all us girls front and center, it made the show so much more enjoyable for us, sorry again for scratching you (i did think you were trying to push us off the rail at first) Also, Asia Security is fucking awesome, they did a great job and made sure I got a set list at the end. Will have pics up later

I wouldn't go that far! ;P It hit two people in the head (security and the girl whose eye got cut by it) before it made it back to you. Trent actually looked at me and Theodora before he threw it, but as he did I had to duck my head for the crowd surfer. I am glad that at least someone cool caught it though. I saw NIN for the first time last time at the Xcel, and it blew my mind. This time I was able to get floor seats and we weaseled are way up pretty close. Amazing!
It was a really solid show; the lights, the music, just awesome. I dug Trent's speech, although postponing the show to yesterday's date allowed me to go (I would have missed the original show).
I was excited to hear The Big Comedown, and Down in it. Reptile seemed way better than I remembered it live, and the way it was transitioned into surprised me and totally kicked ass. I missed Eraser, though
It kind of sucked for a bit, since there was this couple that must have been on ecstasy. They started off moshing into each other, and then started smearing themselves all over each other. I cannot believe that less than 8000 people showed up for the concert (statistic according to Star Tribune Newspaper). I remember the Fragility 2.0 tour at the same venue having almost 20,000. It was still a great show though, and I honestly couldn't tell that there was such a small crowd. We seemed pretty loud from the floor.

I was at this show, and when everyone was standing, it certainly looked like there were plenty of people there.
Anyway, the show was so amazing, my first Nine Inch Nails show, and when 1,000,000 started up my heart skipped, it was so amazing.
Down In It was a pleasant surprise.

Damn I wish I would've found one of those DVD's. My girlfriend and I walked around to all the differant bathrooms for a while. Any one got an extra they're willing to trade? Show was awesome. Really digged the new screens they put up. And the cameras were cool too. My second time seeing NIN and I gota say this show was a lot better than the last one at Xcel (that show was awesome as well though). Didn't really care for the butt sex video. But over all amazing show. I've been to about 75 concerts here in the twin cities and I gota say this one tops them all! I got a bunch of pics that I'll post at a later time.

Here's three pictures, click them for the full-size, high quality versions. I've got tons of others, but i have to sift through them to find the best ones. Right now I've got a couple from "Closer", plus a little cover image I threw together in Photoshop for fun.
I second one I did a little bit of Photoshopping on in the bottom-left corner to get rid of a guy's head in the foreground-it was fairly simple given the fact that the particular corner was more-or-less all black.
I'll have some more photos probably later-not sure about video since it turns out the camera I was using for the video was a complete piece of crap.

This was the second time I saw nin on this tour (the first in Winnipeg during the summer). This show really kicked ass, and I was pleased to be fortunate enough to get quite a different setlist compared to the Winnipeg show. Crowd was a little tame where I was (on the floor 8-10 rows of ppl from the front) but quite respectful and made for a good time. Only compliant about the crowd was the drunk girl being dragged out from the front by her friend then collapsing on the ground right in front of me then preceded to puke everywhere lol.
My favorite were the Ghosts songs, Reptile, and In This Twilight. I was got fooled at the start of the Frail were Trent started playing the intro to La Mer (Damn you trent for getting me excited) I can't remember if he did that back at Winnipeg or not. All in all judging from other set lists from other shows I think we got one of the best ones I can't think of anyway of making it better judging from the songs they have been playing.
And only 8000 there, the place seemed more filled than that.

I was very slightly disappointed that they didn't play THTF, but all in all, it was a fucking awesome show. Reptile, The Wretched, and Down In It were unexpected and great.
I reeeeeeeally hope they come out with a live DVD (and/or CD) for this tour. I think it would blow away Beside You In Time.

It would be most awesome if the DVD turns out to be of THIS show, although it seems somewhat unlikely unless they plan on just using the types of cams they had for songs like Survivalism. Red Rocks seems a somewhat more likely candidate, if only because of the 1,000,000 video that Trent released with that survey seems to indicate that they had some of the proper filming equipment there to do such a thing.RNEMESiS42 wrote:Thanks jack_torrance! I'm also pretty sure that a DVD won't come out until the tour is over, for two reasons:
#1: Money. I hate to accuse Trent of being greedy, but the fact is that people would be more likely to go see the shows if there's no other way (besides crappy YouTube videos) to experience it.
#2: Being busy with the tour, he can't directly supervise the production of a live concert video, and being a control freak he's waiting until a break from the tour so he can give it the attention it deserves.
I'd personally like a tour DVD that would be a cross between Beside You in Time, And All That Could Have Been, and Closure.
-The backstage and behind-the-scenes moments of Closure, although perhaps only as extra features instead of being between songs.
-The commentary tracks on the visuals like AatCHB.
-The extra footage from other concerts like BYiT, preferably including for instance the "opposite songs" of the initial visual set (Me, I'm Not/The Warning, Vessel/The Great Destroyer), and a few rarities that they didn't play at the particular concert. Some reherssal/sound check footage wouldn't be bad either. Perhaps a two-disc set?
Yeah, it's asking for quite a bit-but hey in exchange I'll let him charge us for it. I would be interested to see if he would come up with some innovative download plan or something, although I'd have to say a physical DVD would be significantly more practical than hosting a bunch of videos, even if you're charging people to download them I doubt you could easily find a server capable of handling the traffic combined with the size of the files.
Anyway, back on the topic of this particular concert, I still have a few more photos to upload, it's just finding the time and will power to upload them.
