great show. The whole band was more into the show than previous ones this tour. Posting from my phone right now will give details when home.
Ghosts 14, TBOTE and The Great Destroyer were the main differences from the usual setlist.

this show was so much better than the one in auburn hills...no stupid douchebags - every one around us was so much friendlier. The show was great, White Williams was awesome and NIN really seemed to enjoy themselves tonight. Chilling at the Holiday Inn Express tonight before we make our way home tomorrow.

Great show (home now).
The crowd was a lot better than the Knoxville one. I was right on the barricade in front of Robin and not once was I pushed or elbowed. Just a nice mellow crowd.
The band had a lot more fun. Trent took time out to talk and explain that this was the first show that they really enjoyed and you could tell. He was tossing mike stands, Robin was jumping around and climbing on stuff and even Justin was moving around a bunch. Just a great energy from the band all night. Also, Trent had a very classy move by apologizing to those people who had terrible seats on the side and telling them to go sit anywhere else in the venue.
The only small thing was some woman jumped from the seating area and ran on stage during TBOTE. Trent looked at her slightly annoyed and she was rushed off stage.
Also - did anyone else notice Trent hanging out to the side during White Williams set? He seemed to be enjoying himself.
Security was nice. They offered everyone water during the whole event and kept control of the crowd fairly well.
Great show. Can't wait until the second set of dates.

Wow...simply wow. This show was amazing.
This was my 85th concert (6th time seeing NIN), and this was by far, the best show I've ever been too. I will be at Nashville on Oct. 31, and possibly even Columbus on Nov. 17. Thank you NIN, for this wonderful experience. You truly are amazing artists.

Definitely the best (and longest) NIN show I've seen. Crowd was fine mostly (altho my seats seemed to be behind the official smoking section of the smoke free venue), the band was fanatstic, etc. I'm really glad Trent has Robin back. Robin had some great parts tonite. I remember listening to Ghosts 14 when it came out and thinking, "What the hell?" and tonite pondering "Are those autoharps?". Autoharps, marimba...yeah not the NIN shows of old, but I love the variety.

Fantastic show. Almost to rail. Not bad for arriving at 5. Far different experience than the seats. Had some aggravation with some in the crowd, but no injuries or lost shoes, this time. Glad I got to go, albeit without the person I thought was going with me. Great way to wrap up my concert going this year. Unless I can pull off Columbus... not sure.
It was a great concert, though I had to change the place I was because some idiots couldnt just listen to music without elbowing each other. Nothing against it, but I think it's lousy when they push the girls that have nothing to do with it.
Long set list, amazing performance, incredible visuals. I think it's the best visual-performance coherence out there. The encore was amazing, and I loved that the second part of the concert was groovier.
Great to see Robin playing with the guys again, from what I've seen in the With Teeth and Year Zero tours, he was missed.

Did anyone notice the couple on the screen during Survivalism having sex in the bathroom? I couldn't tell if it was actual or not but it was pretty shocking and fell right into place with the setup. I commend those two for adding to the show!

Got there at like 10:30 in the morning...and the wait paid off, I got on the rail close to the center. The crowd was pretty intense there, a lot more pushing than the last few shows I went too. And people had a bad habit of digging their elbow into my back...but it's okay.

Great show. Got bowed in the head and was a little woozy for 3 songs but still had an awesome experience. Met some cool people aswell.

This was my 2nd NIN show and if I thought the With Teeth tour was impressive words cannot describe what I experienced tonight. I had great seats, was surrounded by super-cool people, and was delighted when I heard the beginning of "Hurt" in the encore. I was actually praying to myself he'd play "Hurt" this time around and thankfully was not disappointed. I thought the crowd was a bit better this time around and I can only hope Trent senses our enthusiasm and keeps rolling back to Lexington, KY. Personally, and from what I've read, we seem to be a pretty badass crowd. I'm sure that's what brought NIN back this time and not the lackluster sells from the Feb. 06 show. Anyway, great show, great visuals, great Trent. Can't wait to see them again.

Ok, so here goes
Left early, kinda. Sat in a god awful burning sun for an hour (seriously, it was hot).
The opener, ehhh.
The show was fucking great. Had presale, was about 2 people away from the rail on the slight right of stage, directly in front of Robin. I met a lot of cool people, a girl from Fairfield with her Mom who where cool, a guy and his lady from cinci like me and jess, and some couple from somewhere who where very nice. (Hey blonde dude and Mrs.)
Any way I am going to be putting up videos to youtube from the rail tomorrow.

I also have a great story.
Ok, so shows over, security is making everyone leave the floor. Jess and I are walking away amazed and we turn around and see a roadie pick up Robins setlist. We have a small but awesome collection of setlists and always wanted Trents to crown it. Well we are leaving and I say "hold on Im going to tell them I lost my cell". So I go wandering up to the front and guards stop me and say everyone is leaving and Im like "Man I lost my cell, its a black nokia" (note: I have no nokia and its the first thing that came out my mouth.) So I go wandering past the guard looking at the ground trying to look like Im not looking at the stage. I get up to the rail again basicly and Im looking at the stage and ask another guard "what would I have to do to get that piece of paper" pointing to the setlist. He says that since it is past the baracade that he couldnt do anything about it. I noticed that a bunch of amps set up infront of the stage looked like steps, so I said "fuck it" and ran up the amps on to the stage grabbing Robins list, guards yelling behind me. Run to the other side of the stage ripping up Trents list, then jumping off the stage behind the rail to be directly slammed by 2 large mother fucking security guards, sumo style, between them. Everyone shouting "Whats he have! Whats he have!". Deciding I was screwed I opened my hands, releasing the torn and sad set lists. All the while saying "Im sorry, Im sorry, I couldnt help it, I love nine inch nails, trents my favorite singer". So with one arm twisted in the air in a very uncomfortable postion and being pushed out and sure I was being arrested, a guard says "where giving you a break this time", hands me a set list. (which promptly went down the pants for fear of changed minds) and was told to get the "fuck out" as I was pushed back to the general floor area. Over all amazing time, got a high five and congrats from onlookers in the stands and couldnt of had a better Nails experience.
By the way security here really was cool and I kinda felt bad, they actually poured water in our sweltering little mouths all night. Ive never had security so nice to the crowd, so I kinda feel dick for everything, but sacrifices must be made I suppose.

i'm still kind of surprised nin played rupp again, seemed to be a larger croud this time than the w_t tour.
white williams was kinda interesting, oddly they seemed to get a better reaction than moving units. cool to see trent let a "local" band play a show w/ them.
seats were kinda odd, on the side of the stage, seats trent would later call a fuckup that shouldn't of happened, and then commented on another 10,000 or so empty seats. where the videos would look right. (he seemed pretty pissed about the empty seats, not sure if this is a common feature of nin shows on this tour)
decided not to take trent up on the offer of swapping seats - this was a new perspective on a show like this, it was neat seeing how the logistics of the stage show work. that was a very involved show.
was initially disappointed w/ the setlists for the tour, but seeing it performed it all worked out really well, only minor gripe was echoplex - the song really seems to go nowhere live.

Great show. Was maybe hoping for debut of some different songs from the rest of the tour, but we did get Reptile and TBOTE, so can't complain. Was pleasantly surprised about the great reaction to the Ghosts tunes and the majority of the newer stuff (though I guess I shouldn't be as I was 5-6 back from the rail directly in front of trent, where one might expect it).
Crowd was great for the most part - good energy in the pit and very few a**holes trying to pry their way up the entire time like at some other shows.
Seeing them here a 2nd time, Lexington seems to provide the best crowd reaction as far as energy level and knowledge of songs for the shows around this general area (including Cincy/Columbus/Indy - though I did meet some cool people in Indy) so I'm really glad to see them back there - hopefully they keep coming to Lexington.

just woke up. had to go to bed when i came home. i was in section 14, but i was supposed to be in section 11. (one of the sections that trent said should not have even been open.) i tackled my friend chris during gave up. i fucked up my knee really bad during terrible lie. i almost shit myself when they played the frail into reptile, even though i was praying for the wretched.
here is what pisses me off. the people who bought tickets during the presale had to wait outside in the 90 degree heat while everyone who had section seating was chilling in the AC. i would have been pissed if i had bought tickets for the presale.

The show was hands down the best I have EVER seen.
I went to Knoxville a few weeks ago and I felt let down mainly due to the crowd reaction. Lexington had a crowd that was simply badass from start to finish, just like the With Teeth Tour show in 2006. Though there were some numskulls to be found. There was a drunk woman who stood next to me during Piggy and took my hand and started dancing with me... WTF. Plus the idiot that jumped up on stage during Echoplex... you could tell Trent was very annoyed by what happened.
I commend Trent for his graciousness apologizing to fans sitting on the side of the stage and saying they could sit elsewhere in the venue during the more visual components of the show. His introduction of his bandmates, particularly Alessandro and JMJ was hilarious.
Really really great show, the best ever, my tenth NIN show, and one I won't forget though I must say I am not entirely happy because right after the show I did the stupid thing and tried to reconcile with my ex (broke up one and a half weeks ago) and got rejected. I wish I hadn't done that. Fuck me.

I'm at a loss for words! I've seen NIN MANY times & this was, by far, the best. Like many others have already stated, the band seemed to be way more into it last night than I have ever seen before. The energy was great, the set list was fantastic.... simply stated, the show was incredible.
The crowd was great as well; very freindly and laid back. I really enjoyed talking to everyone in the presale line as they really made the time pass quickly and enjoyably. I'm just very thankful we brought sunscreen!

best NIN show I have seen to date. also a very unique experience for me, as I brought my wife AND mother-in-law to the show. She (mother-in-law) is totally obsessed with NIN now (which I take great pride and full credit for :) ... I still harrass haer about her snide remarks back in the mid 90s when my wife and I were dating and she referred to NIN as 'noisy grarbage' ... some 13 years later (and a whole lot of exposure to NIN on my part), she asks me to take her to her first NIN show and possibly her last concert... she loved every sec, said it was the best concert she had seen EVER (and we're talking about on old school classic rock chick who has seen many a show)... and wants to go with us to COlumbus LOL.
anyways, the show.... WOW... all the talk and vids just dont do this tour justice, you gotta be there to get it. we got our tickets pre-sale and were in the god awful section (11&12) Trent commented on as being a fuck up on someones part for selling tix for. The sec i got into the venue, I demanded to be moved and ended up being in sect17 with a ton of peeps the same thing had happened to. It was extraordinarily cool on Trents part to both acknowledge the fuck up and telling us to go sit anywhere we liked before they started the visual blitzkrieg :) .
my only two real gripes were...
1) the lack of Fragile representation (my fav album still to this day).
2) Allisandro doesnt come off as mr 'happy go lucky' like he did from previous tours, I really hope his days arent numbered in NIN becasue I really like that crazy 'tally (hopefully trents comment on his having quit smoking explains most of it... but he didnt even crack a smile when introduced (which trent also commented on)).
I had not been to The Rupp since the late 90s and was very impressed with the crowd, it was just the right amount of energy, enthusiasm and respect. But man oh man, did anyone see the multitude of women that went into the pit dressed in sundresses and flip flops?!?!? FTW?!?!?...that coudl have been a very bad situation if the crowd hadnt been so damn cool... props to you folks!

anyways, the show.... WOW... all the talk and vids just dont do this tour justice, you gotta be there to get it. we got our tickets pre-sale and were in the god awful section (11&12) Trent commented on as being a fuck up on someones part for selling tix for. The sec i got into the venue, I demanded to be moved and ended up being in sect17 with a ton of peeps the same thing had happened to. It was extraordinarily cool on Trents part to both acknowledge the fuck up and telling us to go sit anywhere we liked before they started the visual blitzkrieg :) .
my only two real gripes were...
1) the lack of Fragile representation (my fav album still to this day).
2) Allisandro doesnt come off as mr 'happy go lucky' like he did from previous tours, I really hope his days arent numbered in NIN becasue I really like that crazy 'tally (hopefully trents comment on his having quit smoking explains most of it... but he didnt even crack a smile when introduced (which trent also commented on)).
I had not been to The Rupp since the late 90s and was very impressed with the crowd, it was just the right amount of energy, enthusiasm and respect. But man oh man, did anyone see the multitude of women that went into the pit dressed in sundresses and flip flops?!?!? FTW?!?!?...that coudl have been a very bad situation if the crowd hadnt been so damn cool... props to you folks!

I don't know what to say besides, this show was fucking amazing! I wish they would've played The Wretched and The Big Comedown, but other then that I loved every moment of it! Had an amazing spot right in front of JMJ and Alessandro with only one person in front of me then the rail, and could see everyone very well for the most part.
Met quite a few cool people in the presale line and minus the two bitches to my right who wouldn't stop pushing before the concert even started, I think the crowd was great. And the security was really cool too. Can't wait to see NIN again!

POSITIVES:I honestly don't remember the setlist right now,but I will say it was a GREAT show...way better than Lollapalooza. When Trent sang "this is the only time I really feel alive" during "The Only Time" snip in closer was awesome,that was a first. I'm glad I got to witness Trent "hit puberty" when he was talking and his voice cracked.
Pretty funny when that crazy bitch hopped up on stage and started dancing around.
NEGATIVES: Ok,I really didn't care to see two people fucking on the surveillance video during,what is it,Survivalism? And my negatives have nothing really to do with the show,although my seats were blocked by wires,but I moved around 3 times at the venue and got some pretty kick ass shots me thinks. But AFTER the show,Me,DMsiren and no more than 25 people stood at the rails out by the buses for over an hour waiting for some sign of NIN life. Brett and some other dude got in the two white vans (that DMsiren and myself caught them pulling up in preshow) and went right to the door and picked them up and drove off! Now...while I don't EXPECT them to come over and sign stuff and do pics,it would have been a kind gesture to stop the vans and at least say "hey,we've gotta run,but thanks for coming,you're a bunch of douchebags yada yada yada...". I did see Justin wave when he was in the van leaving,but nobody else. Out of 15 shows I've never gotten to meet anyone but Aaron (and he doesn't really count),and it looks as if I never will either. I dunno...it kind of hurt my feelings a wee bit.

This was the best NIN show ever. The crowd was much better than the last time they were in Rupp back in 06. We got lucky and were on the rail between Trent and Justin. There was a lot of pushing and I took some elbows to the back but nothing to really complain about.
I have noticed that a lot of people did not care for White Williams they were definatly better than Deerhunter was in Knoxville. I am not rushing out to find a White Williams album but it did seem to me that there was some thought put into there music and sound.

This show was easily as good as Cleveland last week. The band had a lot of energy and seemed to be having fun (having a day off helped I'm sure). Been hoping for The Wretched for the 5 shows I've hit this tour and never got it but loved The Frail/Reptile/Closer combo.

Agreed... my wife, mother-in-law and myself were right there with you (we were the three peeps immediatley to the right of the opening in the gates... my beautiful wife, her mom (older lady in NIN shirt) and the gruffy looking cigar smoking dude (aka ME)), and it sucked that they just coudlnt have atleast sent a rep (venue security... which there was def no lack of out there, band rep, merch attendant) someone to just say NOT GOING TO HAPPEN. but hell it was nice to talk to some fans, joke with security and cool off post show regardless. The Great Destroyer: part II (noise breakdown) was a highlight. Great visuals.
Terrible Lie: Always has been one his best live songs. Continues to hold up.
Survivalism: My memory is a little fuzzy, but I remember a bluesy rocky jammy ending. Loved that part.
Echoplex: Gadgetry aside, this song had some high points. Also, I think this is where the girl got on stage and did a sexy dance. I saw Justin smile. I don't mind stage invaders as long as they clearly do not present a threat to band or show.
This was my fifth time seeing NIN, and I would rate it as one of the better performances I've seen from them. I thought Trent Reznor was really on and the band was great. My favorite parts of NIN live nowadays are the electronic noise, alternate endings, hard wave future blues, and more experimental stuff.
My previous shows were in Chicago, so last night's crowd was a little less intense than what I'm used to, but the crowd from Lexington and surrounding areas was very appreciative of the band.
We started the show about a dozen rows back in front of Robyn. Moved back for Ghosts and a water break, then found our way to the edge of the mosh pit in front of Justin for the second half. The pit on the left was full of shirtless muscle-bound types, some with long beards. They looked like Lord of the Rings characters that wandered down from a lost city in the Appalachian Mountains. It was not overly violent though, good times!
My girlfriend is a recent NIN convert and she loved the show. We can't wait for the DVD.
TR, please put 'Me I'm Not' on the concert DVD!
edit: Forgot to mention that Rupp Arena was a surprisingly good concert venue.

highlight of the show was the awesome fight that broke out right next to me during head like a hole. i thought for the first time during the show, there might have been an actual moshing, but it was just two lame people trying to fist fight or kick, or whatever. nonetheless, the crowd was a little more laid back than what i am used to. at least this gave me the oppurtunity to take a bunch of good photos.

Does anyone else think the shirts and stuff are just kinda blah this tour? I like one of the zipper hoodies but $80 is a bit much...I can see 2 or 3 more shows for that same $80 bux.

Great Show! However, we started off right up front near the mid right section in front of the big black security guard and between Trent and Robin....and werent able to stay there for long because we were dumbasses who wore flip flops!! Never ever ever again!!!! Oh god so terrible!! Planning on going to the Nashville show with boots on in October.

Amazing show! Words can't describe it... Met some cool people in the pre-sale line and my friend and I held center rail in front of Trent the whole show. Crowd was awesome except for some crazy kids trying to push their way to the rail. My friend and I may be on shorter/tiny side, but we are a force to be reckoned with

we've, i just took a look at the calendar lately and we got like, just a couple just a few shows and then we have a break.
so we've been working we did two records, and then rehearsal for this tour, and it's one thing after another, and this tour's been pain in the ass and hard to play every night. and it finally got fun two days ago. now it's over.

hooooooooooly fuckin' shit... the return of MOKE!!! i really can honestly say that seeing you post here is probably the greatest thing that's happenned to me in the past couple of days, and believe me, it's been a pretty rockin' past couple of days.
i guess we'll start with saturday. woke up to grab a drink of water around noon and decided, what the hell, i'll check google earth just to rule out the infinitely small possibility of a ? being posted. sure enough, there's one planted in morehead, about ~70 miles away from lex with a pretty obvious clue. hopped in the car with my fiancee and got there in about 40 minutes. found it almost instantly.
'que'. evening rolls around and i guess starting around 10:30ish, i start making hourly strolls by rupp from my dorm at UK just to make sure the que hasn't started (arrived at the 7-1-06 show in Chicago at 2am and we were 22 and 23 in line... nails fans are fuckin nuts). i decided to go ahead and start the line after my 2am round and was almost immediately joined by some cool folks from Atlanta, a few of which i had met at knoxville in '06. some time shortly after sunrise my #1 ets/spiral/nin buddy of all time shows up (none other than fullmetal). the 16 hours went by pretty fast.
'doors open part 1'. so, around 5:30 JT walks by the front of the pre-sale line and my fiancee asks him if there's any chance in hell we'd be able to bring our Downward Spiral picture disc in to get signed, and in typical JT fashion he responded 'not a chance' and just kept walking. having no reason to risk having it destroyed in the pit, i ask the rupp security guy at the door if i would have time to run it to my car (literally a hundred feet down the street) before doors open, to which he responded 'doors don't open til 6, so you've got plenty of time'. bull shit. i run over to my car, drop it off, and as i'm running back, sure enough, they're fucking letting people in. fortunately, it was only part 1 of letting us in... so i was able to get back to the front. definitely dodged a bullet there.
'doors open part 2'. after being split up into 3 different lines once inside the venue, we were set back another 30-40 minutes so white williams could soundcheck. wonderful. JT shows up a little after 7 and gives us the 'you're gonna get crushed/ don't hit people/ if you run, i'll fuck you up' spill. we head into the arena to establish our spots on the rail right in front of trent to find the rupp security staff standing IN FRONT of the rail instead of between it and the stage. they make us sit down THREE FUCKING FEET in front of the rail and tell us we can't go up to it until the show starts. and i thought bush getting re-elected was the most fucking retarded thing i'd ever witnessed...
'show time'. just before white williams comes on, someone decides to stand up and rush to the rail, essentially blowing the fucking que all to hell. we still get the positions we want, but instead of being surrounded by the people we waited with all day, we get sandwiched in by fucktards that arrived an hour before doors open. fan-fucking-tastic. anyway, white williams comes on and keeps it short and sweet, which i thought was cool. the intermission only lasted about 20 minutes, which i thought was even cooler.
'nails'. despite 2 substantial doses of the general admission bullshit factor, nin comes out and we're exactly where we want to be. 1,000,000 has been growing on me big time lately so it was no surpise that it was such an amazing opener. i didn't feel so bad for having dropped 80 bones on a track jacket after that. after head down (i think...) trent pitched the first trentbourine into the crowd and my fiancee and i got a damn good grip on it. we played tug-o-war over it with the two people to her left and had pretty much won (four hands on it b/w me and her to two hands b/w the others) and had officially cut the holy shit out of our hands/wrists. at this point the nails roadie took it from our bloody hands and said he'd give it back to us at the end of the show. i wasn't totally cool with that, but i tried to be optimistic. it wasn't five or six songs later, a douche bag rupp security guy casually picked it up and gave it to someone 7 or 8 people to our left. not cool.
'beginning of the end'. in lieu of the tragic injustice that had just taken place, we enjoyed the hell out of the show. reptile, as you might guess, was definitely the highlight for me. i was blown away by the lighting/screens/videos. at the end of the show, the roadie that took our tambourine looked at us and asked if we got it. sadly, we shook our heads so he grabbed the back up tambourine and threw it at us. cool, but would have liked to have had the one trent threw at us. walking towards the exit, we ran into fullmetal and i'll be damned if he wasn't the guy the rupp security guard had given our bloody tambourine to! i told him our story and he immediately offered to swap with us. too. fucking. cool. i begged him to take my downward spiral picture disc but evidently he has every fucking nails release/rarity under the sun, so he politefully declined. i very much hope to see him in greenville.
in less than 2 days, we acquired ?6, a Trentbourine, caught up with some old ets/spiral friends, and witnessed an amazing show. didn't think it could POSSIBLY get any better until MOKE comes back from the dead (i have searched the digital world far and wide for a way to get in touch with you after you shared EDIETS from 2-24-06) and hints at releasing the rest of the audio from that show (my first nails show ever, and personal favorite) in addition to this one.

Here is a setlist that I got at the show last night thanks to a super-cool stage crew guy. It was taped on the stage in front of Robin Finck. There's a few cool things about this set list...the encore on the list was different than what they actually played. Also, the set list has the Philadelphia setlist and part of the New jersey setlist taped to the back. Very cool!!!

^ Dude, this girl in line near us said she heard them soundchecking Starfuckers, Inc.!!! She was right...and I was hoping we'd get it last night, but no, instead it was The Beginning Of The End : ( All yous carrying onto shows from now can expect that at times now, I'm sure (Starfuckers, Inc. that is).

My neck is killing me after too much rock, especially topping it off with this show. Seriously...chiropractor, here I come.
I'd have to say this show was my favorite of the 5 I just attended...all things considered. To begin with, the venue was great 'cause security was very cooperative/understanding of the whole line-up-early situation. Pre-sale got to be inside of the place for the most part of the wait, which had lovely AC, your bathrooms, and around lunch some food places opened up. Yes, pre-sale was then put outside in the blazing heat nearing showtime, but at least the line stayed well maintained all throughout the few shifts and stuff. Could've been worse...but yeah, it was hellacious out there.
As for the show...my last for a while. Setlist, great energy on stage, great energy on rail/the people around me at front center rail, which was half luck I guess considering I wasn't first in line, and the other half was my will to remain there. Random: after seeing it in NJ from afar, I was itching to hear Trent say "This is the only time I really feel alive" during the Closer TOT breakdown. I heard him start it up and I screamed along with. That small of a moment even felt fantastic. Anyways, I hope the got recorded, video and/or audio!
Tambourine Lowdowns: Trent threw the first one straight out during Head Down. I got a handle on it, as did Horny Devil, and so did the reptile "?" guy (and peeps to his right). It was beginning to cut me in places so I let go (I'd already caught one in Auburn Hills, but my friend really wanted one so I gave it another shot [that's what I was trying to tell you after the battle, reptile], as much as I was hoping he wouldn't throw it my way again, haha), then Horny Devil and reptile started tugging at it for a while and neither would let go. Todd, the NIN microphone handler, ended up taking it from them both and exchanged some words with reptile (whose hands along with Horny Devil's looked pretty bad). Show went on. Tambourine #2 was pretty much given to FullMetalAlchemist by a security guard, he'd have to tell that story 'cause I'm not sure. Then after TBOTE, Trent tossed one out right before the next song would start to a guy 5 people to my left. Clean catch. House lights. Two were handed out/thrown. One to reptile. One to Horny Devil. *shrug* Everyone wins.

This was my first NIN concert, and the best concert I'd ever been to before. There were some negatives. For instance, way too many people were smoking in my section.(section 32) And the wait to pickup tickets and then the wait to get let in were sucky. But everything else was awesome. The concession employees were even great.
My girlfriend and I had a blast. We met some very nice people in line, which helped pass the time. One guy referred to himself as a quarter bro, that got a big laugh out of me. Nice guy he was.
As for the show, I'm still amazed. My girlfriend and I talked about it all morning long on the way home. The Ghosts songs are just awesome live. They have a much more impacting sound than just listening to them off CD. Even without the visuals they'd still be great.

Hey nadine, I think I was hanging with you and two other guys before and during the show. You guys were a cool bunch. I was the one with the knowledge shirt. Everything everyone has about the show has pretty much been true. I totally missed my morning flight from drunken shenanigans at that Martini bar across the street. Overall a pretty cool show. My seats were up on one of the sides (last-minute purchase), so although they weren't the "fuck up" seats, they were still far enough out of the way that I couldn't see the visuals right-on. On the other hand, I got to see how it all worked, which was nice.
Good: the setlist. I wanted Frail to lead into Wretched, but of course it didn't. Does anyone know where to get that awesome gun/cross graphic? It would make an amazing t-shirt.
Bad: the crackhead girl and her wife-beating boyfriend right next to me. Sitting down? Chain-smoking cigarettes? Groping each other and waving your arms around in front of my face? Give me a break. To share it, don't use Kazaa, none of us use that...either upload the mp3's/flac's on rapidshare/megaupload/yousendit/whatever, or make a torrent and upload it somewhere (nintorrents.com, thepiratebay.org,whereever).

I'd love the 2006 Lexington show too, but since I felt this one was much better, I especially want the 2008 show...

Amazinggggg show, I was on Robin's side at the end of the rail. Didn't have any problems with being shoved or anything, everyone was so nice. Once the NIN logo dropped I asked myself "Encore! already!?" It went by wayyyy too fast. I thought White Williams was decent, not my cup of tea, but I got into them somewhat, Trent was loving White Williams for a while by the stage, but then he disappeared. Reptile sent chills down my spine, they didn't play The Wretched, or The Big Come Down, like I was hoping, but I am more than satisfied with the playlist. Sorry to the people behind me when Robin threw a water bottle at us, I jumped a little more than I had attended on. Security were extremely nice, I talked to a couple of them for a while before the show began, one security guard kept saying "You know you guys are about to get rocked the fuck out!", made me giggle. He also made a comment on White Williams capri's. Watching youtube videos for hours at a time of the visuals definitely does not serve them justice, I honestly do not see how this will be topped, but I am sure Trent has something up his sleeve. All in all, thanks to everyone for being so friendly (especially the free lolli-pop, I was craving something sweet), thanks to the band for an amazing show and everyone else involved.

I spent the first 3 songs trying to decide just what the fuck White Williams was, b/c the clip or 2 I had heard on myspace seemed more dancey. Looks like for whatever reason they lacked their bassist last night. After 3 songs I mentioned to my wife that the way he was singing and the reverb for some reason was reminding me of Irish folk. Edit: almost forgot. Does the shorter/live version of Closer appear on any albums? I like the new ending a lot.

This was my first time seeing NIN and it was really good. I had one of the seats at the side of the stage but was too close to want to move and get a better view of the LEDs. Everyone around me was chill as fuck so it was great not to have a bunch of asshole "veterans" being retarded about etiquette.

I'm not going to re-hash what has already been said so well already, but last night tied at number one on my all-time favorite concert-going experiences. My buddies and I (one a first-timer), were on the floor on Justin's side, roughly around 14th row, near the barrier, and had an absolute blast - we were initially worried about possibly being too close to the pit epicenter, but the folks back in our area were exceedingly laid back - a few minor bumps here and there from people going back and forth for beer, but nothing to detract from focusing on the show.
I was somewhat bummed that I forgot my "VISITOR" sticker with my number from "Exhibit 24" back in the ARG, as I wanted to see how many ETS folks from Lexington would pick up on it...I completely forgot it in the rush to get out of the door to meet up with my buds to catch the last two quarters of the football game (which pumped us up for the show). Glad we decided to do that, instead of catch White Williams, from everything I've read so far. Maybe we'll get lucky one of these tours and get Saul Williams...anyhoo, last night was an unfrackengbelievable way to cap off what has been a summer of incredible concerts for me.
Last but not least - Moke, you are a GOD. Can't wait for the rest of the tracks - I need to re-live this show for the rest of my life.

Awesome, and yes, that one asshole realllly got on my last nerve during hurt, I think you should have a higher IQ score to purchase beer at shows. Oh, and I didn't get the bottle :(, my fingertips touched it for a moment, my depth perception isn't the best. Robin was amazing all night long, I am glad I was on his side.

It seems that no one has a full show, but I wonder if we have the whole show recorded between multiple people...then maybe we could compile them together to one DVD/video? If enough of them are good enough quality, that is...it's hard to tell because youtube makes them so much worse.

the best way to do it would be to get 3-4 videos of each song and mix each song one at a time to get a nice multi angle going and once you have that done lay the audio over the newly mixed video and burn to dvd. I think you misunderstood what I ment. Find 3-4 videos/clips/versions of each song for the entire show and mix them together to have a multi angle for the entire show. Not just for the few songs that were posted (altho that would be cool).

Had a tremendously great time of this road trip to the show! This was my second show and it topped the St. Louis one by a nudge. Two tambourines up! My friend and I checked out of the Hilton on Monday morning after the show and headed to the Whole Foods to pick up breakfast and we saw Alessandro sitting outside. We then freaked out in the car and he saw us and took off like a bat out of hell! I don't blame him if he had been without a cigarette all week! Then we realize that he was walking back to the same hotel we just checked out of. We cased out the 2 white vans while we ate our breakfast but gave up after a while. Didn't want to seem overzealous but still wishing we could've seen them leave for the airport. Oh well, can't be greedy.

If you guys ever take the time to really compile anything in higher res let me know, youtube kills the quality and takes aways the details, like you know, facial features . The videos look alot better on my pc before uploading. I also have five other clips I didnt upload since they where incomplete songs.

Thanks for the compliments. Technically they weren't professional cameras, but one of them is a Canon Rebel XTi (& 50mm prime lens). Close enough I guess :) At least having seats instead of GA was good for something!
One of those shots (it's obvious which if you look close) was taken with a 4-year old Canon A85 4MP PnS... not as good as the Rebel of course but still capable in the right circumstances.
Sorry, we didn't get any additional/better pit shots. Only other good crowd shot was a random one of the cross seating sections (sec 31-32 or something).
All you lucky pit denizens, I have the above pic in 10MP high-res if you're still trying to find yourself :) just send a PM with your email addy.

This show was by far the best-sounding I've heard! Visuals were as incredible as stated throughout ets. Can't say anything that hasn't been said elsewhere... other than THANK YOU to Reznor & Co. for another mind-blowing show. Now we're trying to figure out which Fall set to attend!
White Williams was pretty good if you like Techno/Rave/Trance music. Kinda reminded me of Underworld, which is a good thing (again, if you like that kind of music). I thought they did a great job although the bass was a bit overpowering. White Williams' own professional Bio reads very similar to where Trent was in the PHM-era though, so there's your connection. Makes sense.

Not sure which 30-whatever sections these are, too lazy to look it up. Cropped the empty balcony out. Pic was taken during The Great Destroyer.
Security was incredibly lax although we might have been lucky. My wife had the camera stashed in a small stylish backpack/purse thing. One of our infant's diapers (used as a prop, baby was with g'rents) covered the works inside, that was all the guard saw at a passing glance. (Huh, and all that time before I never knew having a baby would pay off at a NIN concert...)
Interestingly, Rupp had a published rule that allowed SLR cameras with lenses UNDER 3" in length - the 50mm was perfect for this. That would have been our argument if questioned... thankfully it never came up. Heck, with the lax security I was tempted to go back to the car and grab the XTi kit zoom, but it probably would not have handled the lighting as well. Which is why it's more a "prosumer" as sold, as opposed to a true professional kit.

goingincirclez^^ We were Row G, seats 3 & 4! I saw your photos and thought someone swiped my Flickr ones! I got my Pentax DS with 50MM lens in too, and I had to go through security twice since no one could tell us the proper line to go to. First line, the girl didn't look twice at my camera, the second guy had me take it out and asked if I had any other lenses with me while he looked through my bag. I was holding my breath, but the Rupp rules stated no cameras with lens longer than 3 inches long so technically, my rig passed.

So I was directly in front of Robin Finck, who my fiance is now in love with, and I started out around some super cool good people. Some douches made there way around, one of which ended up busting my lip but not even turning around to see what he had hit. I saw blood and ended up having a blind rage moment and full on punch him in the back of the head. He didn't seem to register the blow much, but I felt better.

Awesome, nice to know who I was standing near. The only jerk that I wanted to destroy, was the one who yelled at TR during Hurt. Every fucking time....
Yeah, that pissed me off quite a bit. Or the group of little girls that were making their way through the crowd and decided to yell a conversation with some other people during the Ghosts set. I turned around and said "shut the fuck up!" only to here the shrieking rods say "It's Nine Inch Nails! Chill out! Haha!"

My wife snuck her Creative Zen 60GB into the Lexington show last weekend. It has a mic and record function. Yeah yeah I know it's not as good as a real taper's rig but hell we had it lying around so why not try it, right?
Anyway. Got the ENTIRE show from start-finish. The Zen (I never bothered to know this until after the fact) records at 4-bit 16,000HZ... not the best, but tolerable.
Anyway. Ends up as a 2-hour 120MB WAV file. Sounds surprisingly good at times. But overall, NIN was just overkill and overloaded the puny mic, heh heh. During playback there is an obvious muffled/low frequency sound, especially in the percussion/bass.
Is there a good basic way to clean this up a bit and tone down the low-frequency overload? I have been messing around with Audacity and yeah, this isn't my day job. Every time I think I've got it figured out, I make it worse. You'd think adjusting the EQ band would do it but no... there seems to be more to it than that.
Knowing this is not the best quality to begin with, I could just wait for the rest of Moke's most excellent recordings.... but again, it would be nice to have "our own" cleaned up.
If anyone can help I would be happy to share the finished product...!

The same oversaturation happens to my ears during a loud show. I've been wearing earplugs and have been a much happier camper; I can hear the music better, I can understand people when they talk to me, no annoying ringing for days, much better.

Well, I've expired pretty much every idea I could come up with to contact moke, so it's time to pull out all the stops. In 2006, after teasing the 2-24 lexington show on here, he teased a few tracks from the 3-16 greenville show. I'm going to the Greenville show this year (which I assume he will also be going to), so I guess I'll just have to make a huge "WHERE'S MOKE?!?!?" sign and look like a total chode...

^^awww shoot dunebug81! This was a good place to do it too, relaxed security. There's a whole art to live recording that I don't need to invest in. Hobbies get me into trouble.
I'm trying not to lose hope that something more will show up but I'm not about to load up Kazaa. I know the setlists are all so similar that I can get other recordings but I wanted this one since I was there with my brother and my best friend. It was an amazingly good time, I just want to always remember it. That's my pitiful little story.

my my brother and i drove down from Chicago to see the show and we somehow scored excellent seats at the last minute. it was his first NIN show, and by far the best one i've seen in all my time. The energy was awesome, and since the arena was way smaller than in Chicago, it made for a much more intimate show. Stunning visuals, great sound, and for the better half of the show when i wasn't singing/dancing around, my jaw was dropped in amazement. i was so blown away by the visuals, it was much more than i expected.
we got some great shots and video thanks to my brother's camera. during Hurt, all you can hear is us totally wrecking the song while singing along, haha. by far the show was totally worth staying in shitty hotel rooms and being broke and 400 miles from home...i'd do it again in a heartbeat.
The only thing i could have asked for was a better version of Reptile. It's my favorite song, but the recently live version doesn't hit me the same way. it felt a little too electronic for my taste...i like the grittier, darker i'm-going-to-rip-your-heart-out-with-my-bare-hands feel. but everything else was perfect.
