Just got home!!!! Amazing fucking show! Unbelievable!! I don't have a setlist, but the played the Wretched, which I wasn't expecting. I think I was in the same elevator going into the parking garage(sky entrance) as Josh Freese after the show. I know that doesn't making any sense... but I swear if was fucking him, didn't notice until he got off on the second leve. 
Second time I've seen Robing Finck(5.15.06 w/GNR) he was great. Doesn't lack in emotion.
I was seated in sec 109 row b seats 9/10. I was pissed about these seats when I first purchased them, but it turned out to be great, and I don't regret.

This was an amazing show. The visuals blew my mind. It was really cool to see people gasping in amazement when the screen for In this twilight came on. It was an awesome perfomance by the band and overall a great night.
I saw someone recording lots of videos. Hopefully they get posted here cause he had a great view of the stage.

this show was unreal. easily the best nin show ive seen (my fourth). im on my psp so i'll go into greater detail another time. tgg was amazing as was the ghosts stuff. incredible.

Haven't seen them since the Fragility tour. Definitely did not disappoint. They've always been easily the best show you'll ever see, and tonight was no exception. The visuals were mind blowing, the music tight. The setlist AWESOME. Mohegan is an awesome venue to see a band. You never feel that far away.

Great great show, took the visuals from the With Teeth tour and ran with it. That might have been the best March of Pigs I've ever seen live or recorded.
Tonight we actually got the Wretched after the Frail. I guess they changed it up because it just seemed more natural. No Vessel, but we did get the Great Destroyer.
If anyone was there early and noticed a fat guy taking a spill in the middle seats, that was me. Got a free move to floor seats for my pain.
Gonna sleep now, going to be sore tomorrow.

Just got home. Got stuck in HORRIBLE rain on the way to the show, which totally blew. But the show was incredible! The lighting is really something to see.
And I admired the balance between artful songs(Ghosts, Greater Good) with fun, loud songs(Head Like A Hole, Wish).

This was my first NIN show... fuckin AWESOME setlist. gr8brand1n0's setlist looks about right (for the record, there was no Hyperpower).
I was in section 18, row G, pretty awesome view. The visuals were absolutely stunning. I tried to capture some of the Ghosts stuff on my phone but it's in awful quality... Can't wait for my next show!

His voice was scratchy at tonight's Mohegan show. He did a great job singing, but when he talked to the audience he sounded sick. He joked "I'll meet you all at the Denny's down the street, after the show."

There was something after Big Come Down which was a short instrumental with a marching kind of feel to it. Ghosts 31 has been getting play in that slot lately.

He did a fucking awesome job considering.We regret to announce that due to illness, the Worcester show originally scheduled for Friday, August 8th at the DCU Center has been postponed. The band is sincerely sorry for the last minute announcement, but unfortunately Trent's recurring throat ailment has left him unable to perform.
We are currently working to confirm a rescheduled date. Please hold on to your tickets, as they will be honored on the new date. Watch nin.com for updates, we will post information about the rescheduled date as soon as it is confirmed.

Incredible show. Somehow even with the softer tunes, managed to rock harder than the others I've seen in recent years (this is my 5th NIN show)-the intensity was more like the Fragility tour. Was really looking forward to Worcester (esp since the massive traffic jams and rainstorms on 95 caused hours of delay such that I walked in midway through Discipline) but it's not to be - at least for now. Alas, just have to be thankful we got the Wretched and such a full on performance and hope the voice recovers in time for Izod. Did see many NIN fans wandering aimlessly in search of Denny's and the great one, in response to his suggestion of a meet up.... Mohegan is a great venue to see them due to its relatively small size - almost as good as Brixton Academy. And the visuals were just as good as those at past shows had billed them to be. Very nicely done.
oh man, so glad I chose the CT show with all the gambling goodness over Worcester. This show rocked...unbelievable. Something from every album. fantastic show. I would have preferred A Place to Bury Strangers over Deerhunter, but luckily I've got tickets to see APTBS headlining again in September.

I was originally in section 17 row S when I bought my tickets as soon as they went on sale in May. Before we left I just decided for the hell of it to check the Mohegan website for tickets and see what comes up. WELL! What ended up coming up was SECTION 15 ROW D! Incredible seats! I bought them right up, sold my other tickets and had one of the best experiences at a NIN concert ever.
To be honest I wasn't very excited for this tour. I saw them 5 times last time they came around and even though they are my favorite band they don't switch the setlist up much. Anyway, they blew my mind tonight! This was probably the best show ever! I am/was extremely excited to go again tomorrow night for DCU in Worcester.
Plus I played some Caribbean Stud Poker and won $150! Awesome night!

This was the first NIN show I've been to- it certainly didn't disappoint...even with a pretty terrible ride back from the Mohegan Sun place (just got home).
I have tickets for tomorrow's Worcester show, but I knew that there was a distinct possibility that it wouldn't happen especially after listening to Trent's voice when he talked to the crowd a bit.
I loved the intensity in the beginning, loved The Warning and The Great Destroyer, loved God Given, the Wretched, etc etc etc.
The visuals were amazing.
Only complaint is that where I was sitting- nosebleed, up against the wall off to the side, the bass seemed wayyy to heavy. I couldn't hear the singing sometimes, or the guitar or higher pitched synth sounds others. It was way worse for deerhunter, but overall the sound was still pretty good. Plus, even in those seats I could still see the amazing light show.
So overall it was a great experience for my first NIN show, but I am disappointed I won't get to see them tomorrow. Still it's an embarrassment of riches I can live without for awhile, I'm sure. The two friends I was planning on going with to tomorrow's show (it would've been their first) might not feel the same, but that's a phone conversation I'll put off until the morning.
Hope everyone else enjoyed it too.

This was my first NiN show and my first trip to the arena at Mohegan Sun. IT WAS AWESOME. The visuals blew me away. I had seats in 110 which is one of the upper corners and they were just great. I knew the arena there was small, but not that small. Great show!

By the way people, not to sound like a spoilsport but...SHUT THE HELL UP DURING HURT. It's a quiet song and you screaming "Trent!" at dramatic pause kinda ruins the mood a bit. Just enjoy the music and use the rowdiness where appropriate.

Opinion of the show: They did a great job. It sounded fucking great and the visuals were wicked pissa. At some point during the encore Trent spoke briefly and he sounded like shit! I don't know how he even finished the set. Now I gripe: I have been a NIN fan for a long time and have been to many shows. This is the second time I have seen them with no general admission. The 1st time being at the Boston Garden about 3 or 4 years back. During that show he told the crowd that a show with all seats would never happen in Boston again, and it hasn't. At that show the whole crowd was into the show even though we were all confined to seats. Tonight on the other hand WHAT THE FUCK! I was sitting almost to the wall in sec 22 and looked over the entire crowd. I would say that about 20% of the people on the floor were getting into the show. The other 80% were fucking zombies. I wanted to bull rush down the stairs and try to fire people up except for the fact that security there was fucking tight. The last thing I was trying to do was get kicked out during the 3rd song of the show. Anyway I want to say FUCK YOU to all the PUSSIES on the floor AND THE STUPID FUCKS that were being filmed during survivalism. YOU JUST FUCKING STOOD THERE EMOTIONLESS! At least sing along or something. You are front fucking stage at a NIN show and you just stand there like some fucking tool boxes. DIE! I fucking hate fanboys and girls. So in summary the guys put on a GREAT SHOW and the fans for the most part SUCKED MY ASS.

Just got back from one of, if not the greatest concert I have ever been to. It was my first time seeing NIN, so you can imagine the ultra high expectations I had going in. They were exceeded in every way, the lights, visuals, & music were all incredibly tight & professional. The mix was one of the best I have ever heard at an arena show, I wish I could of had the chance to shake the soundguys hand after the gig. The clarity of the vocals & Robin's guitar were what really blew me away, the guy was definitely a true pro, he was even head banging with his shirt off the entire show all while operating the boards. The Setlist was unreal, a perfect balance of old & new material. It was great to get The Wretched after The Frail considering the limited appearances that song has had thus far on the tour. Not much more can get be said about the visual element of the show that hasn't been said already, it was absolutely amazing. The only thing I noticed about the show was the blatant disparity in energy levels between die hard NIN fans, and those that were comped their tickets by the casino. The energy from section to section varied greatly, and because of this, I was worried how much energy the band was going to have. Trent moved around the stage real well with alot of intensity, and his vocals sounded fantastic despite the recurring ailments. It was my first time seeing Finck with any outfit, and I have to say that I was completely blown away by his guitar playing. His wildly chaotic stage presence serves as a perfect complement to his playing style. Freese was also fantastic, the guy is an absolute animal, and truly showed why he is arguably the most techniqually proficient drummer in the industry. JMJ & Alessandro were also awesome. It was a fantastic show in every which way, and I truly wish Trent the best in his battle against these recurring throat ailments. I am definitely looking forward to seeing future stops on the tour.

I just got home from the show, and I have to say, it was a fucking blast. I had section 25 Row H, and it was perfect. I got some pretty amazing video (and nobody said anything until In This Twilight) :rolls eyes: Anyhow, the visuals blew me AWAY.
I'm a little disappointed that tomorrow's show is postponed, but I can definitely see why. Ha, I ended up spending 170.00 at the merch booth xD ^^;
I actually kind of have to agree with Fadeout54321 about the Survivalism bit. The camera was on the same section and you would think they would have done SOMETHING. *shrug* Anyhow, I have never gotten to see Robin play before, but it was fucking amazing. Especially during Ghosts when he started up on that flute!!
Alessandro is a funny guy, I noticed on the way out everyone waved, but he kind of just slunk off the stage.

In regards to TR's voice...there were definitely points where he dropped an octave when singing certain songs, and there were a couple times that he didn't scream something as forcefully as usual, but after I heard him talk to us with his voice cracking, I was so impressed by his ability to continue tearing through the set. He's a pro, and it's obviously serious if he's canceling another show. I can't believe that he pushed through and sang so well with how sick he must be....
I'll echo everyone else....visuals have to be seen to be believed....TR on a xylophone with Justin on a stand-up bass and Robin on a ukulele....un REAL....Justin surprised me, thrashing around with the rest of the band....And obviously, it was good to see Alle and Josh again....Josh finds ways to make those old songs seem new again, and Alle added a lot of subtle sonic layers to songs that weren't there, even as recently as the 2006 winter tour...)
The Beginning of the set dragged a bit (Too many "hits" IMHO...Gave Up, while one of my favs, just wasn't working for me tonight...Every time they played a song I heard a million times, all I could think of were the 3 albums of material we haven't heard yet in the US that I would rather be hearing...) but once we hit The Great Destroyer, it was perfection....a nice mix of songs and moods from there til the end....

It needs to be said that The Warning live is motherfracking HOT.
This was my first NIN show since summer '06. I've been hearing about the production for this tour really being above and beyond, but it still knocked the wind outta me. I won't even try to describe it for you...it utterly demands that you haul ass to the nearest stop this tour and see it for yourself. There are gorgeous backdrops, lights...oh, so many LIGHTS...and just beautiful layers to the imagery.
Like others said, the zombies aka casino "preferred guests" put a damper on the crowd energy - I swear, some of those fuckers forgot to take off their poker faces throughout the entire show - one group in front of me asked me, "Do you KNOW these guys? Are they... um... GOOD? We're just here 'cause it's free," and stood idly the whole time.
Fuck it, the show still killed. Props to TR - you could hear his voice was strained, but he kept going. Even though he shouldn't have.

The show was unbelievable. I got home about 4:15 am and have only had a hour and a half sleep, so forgive me if I am incoherent.
I was in the floor in section 5 and the seats were amazing. We were just far enough back to really appreciate the visuals and right in the center. The people right around me were really into the show, and admittidly, I was so into it, I didn't pay too much attention to the rest of the crowd on the floor, but from what I did see, they were pretty lame. The girls on camera for Survivalism were ridiculous, just standing there.
I can't even express how great the show was. I was so excited to hear the Wretched. The band sounded awesome. I couldn't even tell Trent was having voice problems until he talked at the end, but hearing him speak, I don't even know how he did the show.
This post does the show no justice whatsoever, so maybe I will try to post later after I get sleep. I can't wait till NJ and Philly!!
One more thing, unrelated to the concert. I drove all the way South Jersey to CT and back, made amazing time (4hrs each way), missed the rain and the traffic, but 2 minutes from my house, I got pulled over for speeding. The officer was such an ass. He treated me like a total criminal, interrogated me like I had committed a major crime, and gave me a $200 ticket. The ticket I deserved, b/c I was 25 miles over the speed limit, but I could have done without being spoken to like a child and having two officers shining lights in my backseat and asking me if "theres anything in your car you might want to tell us about because you're acting very nervous." A great big fuck you to the both of them.

Thank you, thank you, thank you to the band for an amazing show (my sixth). And thanks to the crowd for proving my early assumptions wrong. We were definitely rocking out in the nosebleed section, and could tell that the people on the floor were doing the best they could, given the presence of all those chairs.Two or three songs into last night’s Nine Inch Nails concert at Mohegan Sun in Uncasville, Connecticut, I looked down from my nosebleed seats at the people on the floor and I thought to myself, “These people do not deserve a show this good.” Yes, for a moment, I became that guy. And then, “March of the Pigs” happened, and the crowd began to wake up. A couple of songs after that, the band broke into “Closer” and the stadium went nuts. Sure, the moment was predictable—who doesn’t love the “I wanna fuck you like an animal” song?—but it was a great moment, just the same. Suddenly, the fans who maybe didn’t know the more recent material all too well—the band opened with three tracks from their most recent album—suddenly, they felt included. Listen: I’ve been to shows where the artists refuses to play any of their hits (the David Bowie portion of NIN-Bowie in 1995), and those shows are always a disappointment. Three songs into last night’s show, there were probably a lot of fans in that stadium who didn’t know quite what to expect. But when the band gave them something to hold onto with “Closer,” that was all it took. Trent Reznor and company grabbed ahold of us all, and for the next two hours or so they didn’t let go.

Suggestion for Rezmo: Maybe, when you're planning your next light show, you can include some kind of glowing bouncy ball on the screen - to help people keep time when they try to clap along to 'Hurt.' I mean, seriously, people! The speed of light is faster than the speed of sound; pay attention to the stage! I dissolved into laughter hearing it get completely offbeat every.single.verse.
Well, I can safely say I was one of the 20% on the floor who was rocking out, awkward as it felt amid a sea of motionless people. I shrugged it off and had a good time. I thought I had experienced everything, but I had not experienced a seated floor show for NIN before. It was... interesting. On the one hand, it cracked me up that I was able to LEAVE during the opening act to pee and COME BACK TO MY SPOT, and I thought, "Ah, this is the life." On the other hand, the rocking out factor was severely diminished.
We got there late and kinda swept out afterward, so I did not get to meet as many ets people as I had intended (eris, I'm sorry!). It was awesome meeting LEA.
As far as the performance went - the only time I noticed scratchy vocals (aside from when he spoke) was during Closer and Only. Still wasn't bad, just a little noticeable. I always liked Aaron, but I gotta say, Robin has some charisma, and did bring a different kind of intensity to the show. Someone compared it to the Fragility show, and I'm inclined to agree. I applauded extra hard for the new guy at the end, because it can't be easy being the new guy.
OH! And Josh was a total monster - awesome. We DID crack up when The Hand That Feeds was played, because he was so NOT playing the ridiculous stuff on Rock Band.
Overall, a good time was had, an awesome performance, and I look forward to any other shows I may see this tour! Best wishes to the voice, because I want everyone else to experience what I did.

the lights were amazing. the sound was phenomenal. i brought my friend who is not a fan of nin at all (actual she likes the jonas brothers more) and on the way home she started calling people to sell her tix to the jonas brothers concert because that show would be such a pussy show after seeing a concert like she did last night! that made me really proud of her.
i got two t-shirts (corona radiata and the tour dates one with the red bar) and a poster. i really wanted the 1,000,000 jacket, but they were out of pretty much every size but small when i got up there. maybe at the NJ show i'll get it.

The show was fantastic last night despite Trent's throat problems, but you could sometimes tell he was struggling. The band sounds incredible and the lighting was great. The screens for the Ghosts section were gorgeous.
ONE COMPLAINT: I have been to about 5 NIN shows since 2000. This was the only time I felt it was not loud enough. The volume should have been way higher especially on the Ghosts section. I could hear people all around me carrying on conversations during that section of the show. Most of the time, it distracted me so much that I couldn't really hear the music. I was sitting right in front of the sound board so I know I had a good perspective.
I hope someone from the NIN camp is reading this. Unfortunately, some of the crowd seems to lose interest during the Ghosts section. If the sound were louder it might engulf them and get into their bodies causing more of a sensual impact. Or maybe the music would drown out all the talking so that those who want to focus on it would be able to.
I don't mean to focus on the negative as I think the show was really great as always.
Oh, and my husband and I were so relieved that The Wretched was played!!!!!

nahhh, sec 21...the people next to me were sitting almost the whole time...lame.
I'm going to say that's because his keyboards were reaaaaaally fucked in the mix. Even during Head Like A Hole you could barely hear them. I'm speaking as a geek keyboard player, thoguh, so I was listening for exactly that. It was like someone tripped and unplugged his set-up after the last Ghost.Alessandro is a funny guy, I noticed on the way out everyone waved, but he kind of just slunk off the stage.
For those keeping track of the ongoing Robin vs. Guitar Tech feud: Robin flipped out when his guitar went out of tune during the breakdown of Head Like A Hole. He visibly was pissed off, then flipped the guy off. He then went to either switch guitars or beat the crap out of the guy, then realized he had to sing the chorus and turned around. Very funny because I was on the Robin side of the arena and was specifically looking for this.
And yes: John does have a Poland Spring water jug on his drumset for the Ghosts tracks.
I was actually surprised how into the Great Destroyer the crowd was. They actually went crazy for what was essentially a noise breakdown like it was Terrible Lie.

Let me start by saying, easily the best NIN concert I have seen, musically and , of course, visually. Jaw-dropping visuals, notably The Big Comedown, Only, Year Zero, and Ghosts tracks. Musically, all are multi-instrumentalists! Lots instrument changes...too many to mention. JMJ, suprisingly, entertaining and energetic. Our seats were upgraded from Section 25, Row E to Row B!! He came over to our side quite a bit and made eye contact with us a couple of times. Josh and Alessandro were awesome. Robin is back!!! The tightest and most talented line-up yet. Trent sang really well, but when he spoke it was pretty obvious that his voice was shot. I really don't know how he pulled off In This Twilight. And, last night was the debut of the blue sleeveless shirt.
I agree, the energy of the crowd could have been better. The floor just stood around with some pockets of enthusiastic fans. Too bad, Trent mentioned that every show has been a bit unusual and that this was the first time that he could see us...you think people could have showed some energy back. I think it might have effected Trent's energy level a bit also. Also, unbelievably, there were alot of empty seats in the upper levels and some people left before the encore. WTF!! Luckily, all around us were into the show. I went mental during The Wretched, The Big Comedown.
Super easy, traffic-free drive to and fro. Mohegan is a beautiful casino with friendly staff and I liked the arena.
Thank God, our show was not postponed, I might have lost my mind. I've been sitting on the edge of my seat for 3 months!!! I was not at all disappointed!!!

Fucking awesome! This was my first NIN concert, I was sitting sec 26, sadly enough located directly behind some fucking lights...But then no one else came into the row and I was able to move over, and stand up to watch! It was insanely awesome. I wanted to hear Sin though, and I knew this was going to be a bit much to ask for, but i also wanted to hear Sunspots. But other than that the show was awesome, Minus the drunk bitch next to me dancing and spilling her beer everywhere...

Tell me about it! I was completely surrounded by "proper" individuals who would rather sit down than stand up and show a little respect for a band that's giving it their all on stage. The two people next to me who looked like they had spent the evening gambling away their 401 k's hadn't even heard of Nine Inch Nails before. I was sitting in sec 5 on the right aisle seat. There was a guy directing across from me in the next section over and he was very amusing to watch. I was so into the show, I only caught a few glimpses of him, but my friend kept prompting me to look at him. A few hightlights...he was rocking out playing air guitar, doing the robot, and at the very end of the show, he had his floor wristband stuck to his left eyebrow (WTF?) Buy hey, he was totally into the show, which is more than I can say for a lot of the floor.
Did anyone have problems getting their camera into the show? I was totally patted down and the women felt my camera in my pocket. Luckily she just said "cell phone" and I, of course, agreed.
I am so tired but I cant stop thinking about the show long enough to fall asleep.

Opinion of the show: They did a great job. It sounded fucking great and the visuals were wicked pissa. At some point during the encore Trent spoke briefly and he sounded like shit! I don't know how he even finished the set. Now I gripe: I have been a NIN fan for a long time and have been to many shows. This is the second time I have seen them with no general admission. The 1st time being at the Boston Garden about 3 or 4 years back. During that show he told the crowd that a show with all seats would never happen in Boston again, and it hasn't. At that show the whole crowd was into the show even though we were all confined to seats. Tonight on the other hand WHAT THE FUCK! I was sitting almost to the wall in sec 22 and looked over the entire crowd. I would say that about 20% of the people on the floor were getting into the show. The other 80% were fucking zombies. I wanted to bull rush down the stairs and try to fire people up except for the fact that security there was fucking tight. The last thing I was trying to do was get kicked out during the 3rd song of the show. This too is my gripe with this particular show and why I was so looking forward to the Worcester show, where i actually HAD GA seats (At Mohegan I was in section 116(High up). I didnt sit the whole show and was almost made to feel bad for enjoying myself at a fucking NIN show!!! It would have been way better if the crowd for the most part wasnt there twiddling their thumbs.

Oh that's OK jadezuki, I totally understand. It was such a hectic day trying to find where to get tickets and try to get some food while meet people at the same time, so people were bound to lose each other at some point.
Right now I'm uploading the pictures that I was able to snurch since "there was no photography allowed" of the bands. Pfffffft...whatevs dude...
I did see a security guard hassle someone about it, but other than that I really wish I had taken more photos since I had a nice dead center vantage point, but oh well. I just didn't want them to take my Crackberry.
But yeah, awesome show! This was my 6th show so far and the lighting technology just keeps getting better and better. It's amazing what can be done and it's cool to see little improvements that have been added on over the years. The lighting for "Terrible Lie" really stood out for me, that was phenomenal, but pretty much every other song kicked much visual and audio ass. "Great Destroyer" was as mind/ear destroying as I expected.\m/ And I totally loved the fake out NIN screen, "yeah, we're totally finished...why are you still standing?...why haven't you moved yet?...HA! Fooled you! We're not done yet!"
The touch screen beat thingie (I have no idea what that's called) was unexpected, but really awesome to see. It was cool seeing someone actually set up the beat using that projected screen.
What was actually really sad though was how they just individually walked off after the last song. Wow, that was pretty powerful. It was like a collective "awwwwwwwwwwwww" moment.

I just noticed that The Big Come Down is missing from the reported setlist. I am 100% positive it was played, the dangling lights were just way to cool to forget. As far as what song it was after, I am pretty sure it was survivalism.

I was in the yellow Saul Williams shirt had my hands in the air the whole time, dancing and singing along like it was my fucking job and i had a fucking blast, i dont know why everyone was such a fucking zombie...during the Ghosts set (Which was BEAUTIFUL, GHOSTS I WAS AWESOME WITH THE FLUTE) I went to the back of Section 7 to see my friends in the front of Section 21 so we could dance in the open space next to the soundboard booth for Wish (until they told me to go back to section 6 cuz they were being douchbags)...

I had floor seats in section 6 up near the front, at first i was like, fuck this we should have GA, but then i realized, this is kinda nice being able to enjoy the music without having to worry about getting pushed around and shit by all these crazy nin fans, so lemme do a round up of the show...
PRO's: Great Performance, Unprecedented Lights, Small Arena, Trent rocked his voice even hitting falsetto here and there, I had Great Seats on the floor, Great Sound

Seriously, Just Because you wear black and wanna be tough does not mean you cant raise your hands in the air, scream and shout, DANCE FOR FUCKS SAKE, NOBODIES JUDGING YOU, SING ALONG FOR THE LOVE OF GOD!!!!! Your NOT TOO COOL!!!! No Vessel, No Head Down, No Meet Your Master, Security was fucking ridiculous, the no GA was nice but also fucking gay at the same time, they didnt even let you dance in the aisles like what the fuck man
I was in the yellow Saul Williams shirt had my hands in the air the whole time, dancing and singing along like it was my fucking job and i had a fucking blast, i dont know why everyone was such a fucking zombie...during the Ghosts set (Which was BEAUTIFUL, GHOSTS I WAS AWESOME WITH THE FLUTE) I went to the back of Section 7 to see my friends in the front of Section 21 so we could dance in the open space next to the soundboard booth for Wish (until they told me to go back to section 6 cuz they were being douchbags)...

God Given was so freakin' awesome! This was my second show on this tour, but last night was the first chance to really check out the visuals -- and they were simply amazing.
It was great to get The Wretched after The Frail, you know, as god intended. Frail to Closer is just wrong. :p
I'm sorry that Trent jacked his voice for this audience, though. Seated floors are the worst things ever. I sneaked up to the 3rd row, center (I was supposed to be row M) and that area was full of douches who were more interested in drinking beer and just being idiots. One guy even passed out. Ugh.
I had a nice vantage point, though, to check out the screens (I'm bringing sunglasses next time) and to take pictures. I'll post those when I get home. (Yeah, I'm in Worcester. D'oh. Luckily, we found out about the postponement last night.)
It was great to meet you Eris, Eva, Jadezuki and Greg. I hope to see you all again soon!

WOOO GREAT show! The visuals were mind blowing, Trent and the rest of the band had amazing energy, just unforgettable overall. I'll be buzzing about it for ages. Can't wait to hear the recordings. Yeah, the crowd was weak, but that didn't stop me from enjoying the show, and it didn't seem to dampen the band's mood.
I was in the same section! We had an incredible view. And are you talking about the skinny girl in the white shirt haha? I saw her singing along on a few songs...Her friend had really cool nail polish. She wrote NIN on every single finger. Must have taken her ages....dserver wrote: You wouldn't happen to have been sitting in section 25 row D seats 9 and 10 would you? I know that seems odd but there were two girls two seats down from me and one of them looked so bored that, I swear to god, my exact thoughts were "she looks like she belongs at a Jonas Brothers concert!" The Big Come Down was definitely played, I want to say it was after Survivalism.I just noticed that The Big Come Down is missing from the reported setlist. I am 100% positive it was played, the dangling lights were just way to cool to forget. As far as what song it was after, I am pretty sure it was survivalism.
As for the people on the floorseats being buggered off, I know the people around me were into it except for one guy who sat there text messaging all night.
Compared to the crowd they had at the Dodge 3 years ago, it was night and day. The Dodge was half full because of the ticket prices (I know I had a whole section to myself for Peaches and part of Bauhaus before I asked a security guard if I could move up to which he replied, "I don't care.")
I will say that just about everyone had the same idea to take a cellphone picture of the big fuck off NIN logo at the end, though. I must have gotten about 20 of them myself.

that audio sounds nice! i was in section 22... someone dropped their cellphone from the balcony while trying to take a picture of the nin logo and hit someone in the head in front of me... i agree the crowd didn't seem too into the show... it was weird... personally while i did enjoy the show... for some reason i enjoyed the show at the meadows (dodge?) theater w/ bauhaus more... perhaps it was the setlist... i'm still not all that into the newer songs... was happy to hear Gave Up, Wish, The Wretched tho... Echoplex was fun... it was definitely a good show, something just seemed amiss to me...
can't wait to get the rest of that audio, and thanks for posting all the pictures people... my iphone camera sucks. and too far away to get any decent pictures even if it worked well.

Man lots of stuff I wanted to say has already been said.
-The Big Comedown was played, around when Only was played.
-The crowd fucking SUCKED! I was in seciton 109, I was one of maybe 3 people standing. No one seemed into the show at all until halfway in, made me feel guilty to be able to enjoy the show. As someone pointed out, the crowd seemed to finally wake up during MOTP. When 999,999 started playing barely anyone stood, then when the lights went out maybe half the crowd stood, and made some noise. Crowd got better through the night though.
- There were some assholes sitting behind me, cursing out the security guards any time he could. Was fucking annoying. They stunk too. Smelled like they kept a pound of hot dogs up their ass for a month, and let it slowly ooze out throughout the show.
-sound was VERY low, might have been the quietest I've ever heard NIN. Sound seemed a lil fucked up too, especially during The Great Destroyer. You could barely hear Robins guitar. I was hoping for Vessel. Sound was very low during Survivalism too.
-the bands performance was utterly amazing, even with Trents vocal problems. He sounded hoarse as hell when he was talking to us. There were many times where he'd sing in a lower key (thtf, gave up, motp) or didn't even sing parts at all. He also didn't do the "whoo ooohhh" at the end of HLAH. He DID hit a few high notes during The Big Comedown though. I am amazed by how shitty his speaking voice was, that he's still able to sing to the capacity that he did.
- I am SOOOOO happy Robins back, he's fucking amazing. Justin was really good too. Loved how he laid down his bass at the end and waved to the crowd. Alessandro gave a lil blowing kiss.
-Robin was PISSED at his guitar tech during HLAH. Was looking over and flipping him off twice. At one point he looked like he was going to storm off and throw his guitar but remembered he had to sing. Thought that was really funny to see.
- Wow the crowd canNOT keep tempo with the clapping during Hurt. At least 2 times they tried to do a clap with the beat and sped up really fast. Was really funny.
-It was great to see some friends there, and especially to see my spiral friend Cindy for the 1st time ever.
-Speaking of friends, I brought my friend on a last minute notice. She's never heard of the band before, and only recognized one song. It was Hurt, she never heard Trents version before and told her how Cash did an awful cover of it. She said the show wasn't anything she expected, she thought it'd be like Slipknot but enjoyed it a lot, especially the light show. She really dug the Ghosts section of it.
-Think my car got struck by lightning while on LI driving up. And I got caught in that traffic for that collapsed bridge on I-95. Got in at 4am. It was all worth it though.
-Oh yea, noticed Justin's now on stage playing during The Great Destroyer now. Also I think they lost the mic during The Greater Good. Trent didn't start singing till very late into the song.

Usually I'm the first one to complain about the crowd. However, I was drunk and having a good time for once. I was dancing in my second to last row seat with the people around me. It was great.

I totally agree about Robin. He was kick ass. Justin was great too. I think this incarnation of nin live is amazing beyond words. I totally miss Alessandro blowing a kiss though. It looked like he just walked off to me.
In reference to the crowd sucking, I wonder how many people there were only there because they had comp'd seats through the casino? My friend and I saw a lot of people that looked out of place at a nin show...eg couples in their 50's dressed in what looked like 80's style clothes. At one point she commented that she felt like she was not at the right show. And I know you can tell everything from appearances, but some people in the audience looked really out of place.

Just remembered something else, at the end of In This Twilight when the sky started getting really bright and looked like everything was getting nuked, did anyone notice the triangle of 3 lights on the light screen on the front, coming down? The same lights on the tour litho.

-It seemed like it took forever for NIN start after Deerhunter ended, and I could've sworn that I heard 999,999 start and then get cut off a few times before the show actually started, but I might be wrong.
-1,000,000 and Discipline were awesome. Letting You was eh. It's my least favorite song on the Slip, though, so whatever.
-March of the Pigs was fucking awesome. The energy during that song (at least where I was sitting, section 108) was fucking crazy.
-The fact that he cut Head Down pissed me off. Seriously. I wanted to hear Head Down so bad, and I was 100% sure that we'd get it, since he hadn't excluded it so far. But oh well.
-The Wretched was awesome. I was worried they weren't gonna play it, so I was happy when it kicked in.

I wasn't the oldest guy there, but I definitely was the only dork in the pre-sale line -- if you were looking around while we were bottled up in front of the doors, you know exactly who I was -- and a scientific survey (margin of error +/-87%) showed that I was the only dork in the entire arena.
So if anyone felt offended that I didn't meet up with you folks in front of Johnny Rockets, I was just shy and feeling painfully out of place. I'm not cool enough to be here.
Aside from that, I loved the show, and I had a perfect seat: section 24, row A and all the way up front. It was like having a floor seat on a 1' riser, so I could easily see over the heads in sections 2 & 3 and the security guy right in front of me (who was actually pretty cool compared to the rest of them). Section 25 looked better in theory, but I think I'd have been too close to fully process the visuals.
After Deer Hunter's set, the security guy asked if I'd seen NIN before, and told me how they put millions of dollars into the lighting. At one point during the show when the LED curtains were just insane, he looked at me with an "Am I right?" expression, and I nodded my head like it was going to fall off.
I know there were people who just stood there, but there were enough people getting into it that I was feeling a huge surge of energy across the floor. I just couldn't stand still, even during the set changes. The band certainly was on fire -- did I actually see Trent run across the stage with his mike stand and send Robin's flying just for the hell of it? I had no reason to think he was still sick, didn't even notice the roughness in his voice when he spoke to us at the end. The postponement of the Worcester show comes as a shock.
Glad they did 1 Ghosts I, even though they probably needed a stronger opening to get the crowd's attention. Like someone said, it could have been the volume level. But I was very impressed that they didn't crank it up to 11 ... at most shows the sound is so loud that the vocals distort -- not sure if that's a real physics effect or just something going on inside my ears. But everything sounded great where I was. And I didn't notice Robin's tech troubles during HLAH -- I thought they'd finally got through a show without any of the technical screwups I've been reading about here. Seemed flawless to me, except for Trent's delayed appeared in The Greater Good. Some people might have thought it was deliberate.

I didn't get a transcript or anything, but the gist of what he said was, "It's still pretty early in the tour, and so far, there's been something unique about each show. In this one, it's that the crowd is totally lit up - we can actually see you. Like this guy. He's wearing a really bright shirt, and I've been staring at it all night. So thank you for wearing that for us."
Also, "We're going to go to the Dennys about three miles down the road after the show."

The non-floor seating for nin.com pre-sale members *edit* was (evidently) not thought through before the stage production was finalized. The floor was not general admission- as I had read early on, which was really the only reason I didn't didn't pick the floor. My "premium" seats sucked however, and the folks to my left had it worse; having to peer through lighting rigs and pulley-ropes just to get a glimpse at the back of Justin's fro.

I was standing pretty much the whole time and grooving along in section 107. I really enjoyed the show. My experience isn't tied to how other people are enjoying the show or not though. As long as people aren't infringing on my experience in a negative way, I could care less what other people are doing. It was my 2nd time seeing them (first time on Fragility 2.0 05/03/00 in Providence.
The only traffic issue I had leaving was that some guy, license plate Halo 2 from CT nearly hit us while cutting me off. The two right lanes are for right turn only. I let someone in from the center lane as we were turning. We get close to being on the on-ramp and this guy nearly side swipes us cutting us off just missing the guard rail in the middle. Christ...is it really worth ruining your night by getting into a wreck like that? Everyone has to be patient in those type of situations. Thankfully, I saw him in time to stop and not get hit.

I wished they'd played Head Down too. But the awesome Head Down T-shirt I bought makes up for that and not getting sticker pack #2 with The Slip. One of my all-time favorite shirts, and I haven't even worn it yet.

Not impressed with Mohegan on any level: gambling,bars, arena, bars, parking, bars. Just me, or my god-awful-vertigo-inducing-nose- bleed seats, (sec 119) but the sound for the first couple songs was really muddy? Saw them at The Orpheum in Boston in 05 and Reno Hilton in 06 and I nearly shat my pants. So intimate and so close. N'uff whining. The visuals that I scoped were AWESOME. MOTP and The Wretched were killer. As for the crowd, cmon, you got gimpy 40-somethings like me or youngins who want to rock out with their roosters out. Looking forward to November 9!!1

Note: Pinion was played (the guy who posted the full setlist, thank you so much for your GF getting that). I saw the ghost Piggy on the guitar techs set list before the show (not on purpose, on accident) and was like "cool, ghost into piggy?" and that was f*ing epic. Also it was a ghost played instead of Hyperpower, the one that was played was released in the streaming audio, cause I've heard it alot more then the other Ghost.
Also, listening to that audio clip, this is a freakin epic recording. Dude, I need this, not want, need, like....to live

However, the show did start a little hard, and my brother put it best "It seemed like the audience didn't know the lyrics to the Slip songs, and starting with 3 of them was hard."

My camera is a Sony Cybershot DSC-P51. I've had it since my senior year in high school (let's say at least 6 years now). It's beaten up, broken, and beyond old but it's the only camera I trust at concerts.
Oh, and I'll be hitting the MA show when it's resched, depending on who goes with me I might have a closer seat for that show but same angle.

Yeah, this crowd was very weird (responding to the only person dancing around). I was going crazy the whole show, and singing along. The two guys beside me (both with Iphones, I know this because they kept taking random pictures with them), were getting really really annoyed with me. Whatever, I'm singing along.
Oh, and in one of the pictures there's a picture of a guy taping with his camera, yeah, he taped like..75-80% of the show, cept for a small part that he got yelled at. Can't wait to find that.

Fabulous show. Section 19, rocking out with some very cool ladies. A nice guy shook my hand after and said we were the best in that section. He himself was slam dancing through the whole show! Can't say much for anyone else there though.
Did everyone smack their foreheads in a collective gasp over The Greater Good?! It took me like the whole friggin song to realize the yellow lighting was Trent's FACE close up!! Felt like such an idiot, but that was SO FUCKING COOL. And when he popped out in front of the screen, everyone freaked out too. Good stuff.
That guy he pointed out must have been pissing his pants.

I was in section 5 Row H, and from what I saw people were into the show. Everyone enjoys a show differently. The guy next to me was a bit too rambunctious but a fun row mate to say the least and 1 girl in front of me needed to lay off the ecstasy. What a fucking loser she was. Just in case, she happens to be on this board. If you lit up your joint one more fucking time, I was going to shove it down your fucking throat.
I am broken (my bursitis is acting up from flailing), bruised (smashed my knee into the seat in front of me) and sore (my throat still hurts from singing).
I was hoping to repeat my injuries on Friday at DCU but I get to recuperate and hurt myself another day.
OVERALL: A+ (Especially since TR is dealing with throat problems)

I went to the concert with my brother and I didn't think he would have as good a time because he would not be able to push people around in a pit. He had just started downloading a listening to nin when I told him that we were going to the concert. But after the concert he looked at me and said that it was the most amazing show he has ever seen and that trent reznor was a genius (and that he was on drugs because some one that creative has to be on drugs).
Of coarse I was too mesmerized by the show to pay much attention to him. I did not have to bad of a view from where we were even though I spent the entire concert on my tip-toes (I am only 5 ft tall).
Hearing the ghost songs together with the harder song just gave me the feeling that trent reznor is a true artist. He could take his music in any direction and make it magnificent. At the end when they played ITT I got misty eyed. It was perfect.
I drove 5 hrs from Maryland to my parents house, spent the night, met my brother and we drove 2 hrs to the venue. With all the high gas prices it was completely worth it. If they announce more dates any where near me I am going.
Of coarse I was too mesmerized by the show to pay much attention to him. I did not have to bad of a view from where we were even though I spent the entire concert on my tip-toes (I am only 5 ft tall).

I was in sec 5 row G. I couldn't see the girl you were talking about, but I could definitely smell her pot. I think our section was pretty into the show. Luckily, I was on the aisle, so I could dance and move around without worrying about bumping into anyone. Me and Eris were in section 5 row G too but we were in the middle. I think we tried our best to get into the show and sing along. I know I couldn't keep still and yelled along with almost every song but I did see a lot of people in the rows in front of us standing still like zombies. I was so jealous of them that they had better seats than I did and weren't enjoying them! To give them the benefit of the doubt though the visuals and effects were so amazing I was in stunned silence some of the time and I think the crowd did liven up in parts especially when the NIN sign came up before they came out to do the encore. And I definitely smelled someone smokin up right near us and was annoyed as hell. Whatever. The people in my general vicinity were havin fun and I was blown away by the show. The show was fantastic! I loved every minute of NIN's performance. The visuals were the best I've ever seen at a concert,and every one of the songs was so fucking fabulous. So, overall, the night of my life! The only issues I dealt with were so many people sitting around, as others have noted. I just don't agree with that. It's a ROCK SHOW, TR wants the audience to get into it and to let loose, he's made no secret of that in the past. I was up and dancing nearly the whole time- and sure, there are degrees of fandom, but c'mon...the band is up there, they are putting a hell of a lot more work into than we are, what's the big deal? More than that, there was this girl near me, who kept getting up to get drinks, etc., which really became pretty frustrating for me. I payed good money to see my favorite band! Give me a break...
Ok, I'm done complaining, and all of that is beside the point, which is: NIN's performance rocked, rocked, rocked! Poor Trent, with his throat problems, but even so, he kicked ass Thursday! Really hope his condition clears up. Everyone who can: come see them, you won't be disappointed!

wow back from my weekend of NIN partying and gambling
this was technically my 2nd time seeing NIN(1st time I had a fever of 103 and sunstroke and I remember 2 songs) but it really was my first and this show was A-M-A-Z-I-N-G. They sounded great and the visuals were phenomenal.
Highlights for me were: all the year zero songs and screens.. MOTP, discipline, Closer all sounded great . Only never before was a fav of mine but live it was amazing When Trent would run and sway and the hole in the static would follow him. I was amazed. The big comedown was nuts and I loved the hanging lights. The greater good screen when it picked up trents face was the fucking coolest thing ever. The band sounded awesome and Trent seemed to have a shit load of energy. When he ran the fuck out at the start up of 1,000,000 I never sat down the entire show. PLus as a chick I gotta add trent did look damn good. ANYWAY The crowd around me was pretty active, I was in section 3 row F so I was fucking close and everyone was up and dancing. I really didnt notice trents voice until after he spoke (I thought he sounded great). After the encore during echoplex I did notice he did get really breathy.
To the guy in my row to my right talking to me and my other female friend (we were the last 2 on the isle) you were really nice to talk to and I hope I didnt annoy you with my camera. Sorry also my accidentally friend flipped you off/ yelled at you after the show she mistook you for the guy across to her left who was being a creepy asshole to me after the show.
Lowlights: the fucking dildo girls that were filmed and stood there like complete cows during survivalism. I wanted to be OH MY GOD MOVE DO FUCKING SOMETHING. Oh and I spent way too much on merchandise YAY

We were in the same row..how cool!! I think at one point, someone snuck into the row and tried to stay when the guys who really had the seats came back. Was that near wear you were sitting? I think we had a great view, but it is frustrating when you see people closer up just standing there. Oh, and does this make any sense? I ran out before the encore to try to get water and the concession stand was closed, but the beer stand was still open. I was so thirsty, but I had to settle for a quick sip from the water fountain.
The show was the highlight of my otherwise shitty week, which included my 3 year old breaking his leg, my friend and I getting food poisoning from dinner at the Mohegan Sun and a speeding ticket on my way home. How frustrating is it to make it all the way home from CT to South Jersey, only to get pulled over and totally harrassed by the police 2 minutes from my house? It was all worth it, though, and I would do it again in a heartbeat. I am so excited for the NJ and Philly shows!!

This was my second show of the tour.
We've talked about the stage visuals. Now lets talk about the band's appearance. It's an important part of the show.
Speaking as a costume designer, I thought it made a huge difference for Trent to open the show wearing the black t-shirt instead of the red long-sleeved buttoned shirt he wore in Toronto. The black tee gives him "visciousness." The red shirt looks constricting and uncomfortable - which makes me uncomfortable as an audience member. Not to mention how it discolors as he sweats through it - after about 3 songs.
Black t-shirts just plain work on Trent. They convey his essence better than anything else I have seen him wear.
Trent is always dripping wet for most of the show. I wonder if he is aware of or cares about how his hair looks after he mooshes it around on stage. I'd get in front of a mirror and practice, but I'm self-conscious like that. The buzz cut TR used to wear made this a non-issue.
Trent's physique is impressive. So is Robin's. He makes a great physical impression. Statuesque.
I was pretty much Trent-focused. I can't tell you what anyone else was wearing. But I have several more shows to see.

I think it depends on the venue. Also there was no body heat from a pit.
I think Mohegan was kept cold for the old people.

In my experience, every casino I've EVER been to has been freezing. You know how when you see poker on TV, they're all wearing jackets and long sleeves, even when it's Vegas in the summer? There's a reason for that.
Knowing this, I wore a hoodie into the casino, and wasn't remotely warm until the end of the opening band, when the warmth of sweaty expectant gothy teens filled the room. ;)

It's always been cold when I've been there (not sure about the dead of winter). I thought about bringing a sweater along for this one but figured I'd be going nuts the whole time. Good move, because I needed two Ben & Jerry's smoothies to cool down after the show.

Yeah there was one guy who hopped a few rows since there were empty seats, he had a ponytail and he seemed pretty into the show. I was afraid he and some other guys were gonna start throwing chairs and stuff since they seemed so pumped up before the show started and were complaining that it wasn't general admission seating. I was so happy they didn't start wreckin the place because I really didn't need to get bruised while I'm trying to watch my favorite band. That's great that you had the show to cheer you up after your kid broke his leg, that must have sucked. And you got food poisoning too?? Did you by any chance eat at the food court before you got food poisoning? The last time I was at Mohegan we ate there and I was having stomach problems for a few days after that. This time when we went we couldn't decide where to eat dinner before the show and I was like, well I definitely don't wanna go to the food court again. We went to Lucky's Lounge, this pretty cool retro-styled restaurant/bar that had a teeny stage set up in the back. I'd recommend it, the prices were good too.

At least it didn't strike until after the show. I am really glad I took off work on Friday, though. Working 13 hours with 2 hours of sleep and stomach problems would have been horrible!
I actually kinda liked having seats on the floor. It was great to be able to watch the show and not have to worry about being pushed around. I have GA to the philly show and I am a little nervous. I really want to be close to the stage, but I think I might getting too old for the pit.

I just want to add that normally, I'm one to go for the rail... but seriously, this is a show to be watched from a distance. If you're squeezed up against the stage, you're truly missing the full effect.

Not enough room to move around and get into the show but I did the best I could with my seat folded up. 7th time seeing them and the visuals were insane. Never disappointed. At least the Worcester show was not cancelled.

I think it would be cool to have a center perspective and considering Trent had his back to us almost the entire performance. What section go have have tix for in NJ? Im in 122, which basically seems like the same seats you had for CT but on the opposite side. I was just wondering if the view is okay. I had sec 5 (back of the floor, center) for the CT show and it was great! I'm in Section 110, row 7 for NJ. You're lucky that you're on the other side. Trent likes to face the other side, meaning from a stage view, he's always facing the left. I'm off to the right again.

that chick in the middle just happened to show up like halfway through the show (ghosts set) and squeezed her way in there. Im not sure how much her boyfriend paid off the usher because I dont think they were in the right seats. I certainly wasnt moving for her.

I was so pumped for the show, having been around before Self Destruct. It kills me to see a guy who could have phoned it in a long time ago with lucrative movie soundtracks, TDS #2, #3, #4... continually stretch every horizon he can and put it out there for us to see. He already stated that he's put every dime he makes off this tour back into this AMAZING production. He could very easily have a sparse stage show and we would love it. On top of that while he is protective about his tabloid personal life he puts his deepest thoughts, feelings, and fears out there for us to connect to and identify with. Those who have been to some of these places understand what this must take to share them with total strangers.
All he asks is that you buy a t-shirt and return the energy during the show. It killed me to see the sheep just stand there motionless like it was a TV show while the band put everything they had into it. We were in the 4th row and PEOPLE IN FRONT OF US WERE SITTING. My girlfriend felt the same as you and danced her ass off. Like you, she decided not to let others affect her night. I didn't.
I left pissed off. Decided I spent too much of the night watching the sheep in line, dealing with the security already described earlier on this post, and passed on the left. It wasn’t right and I cut off someone who felt the same way I did about the lack of feedback TR and the band were getting. Sorry.

yea, it's funny...we only sat briefly during some of the Ghosts stuff, but I was up the whole time in 107. I enjoyed. I don't exactly dance around, but I'm up and stuff. Everyone enjoys shows differently, but I don't see how someone could sit the whole time. What's the point? I can't wait until Worcester now.

I know this is totally sacreligious to even mention, but I'm desperate. I downloaded the 24 bit flac, converted the files to wav with Winamp, but I still can't listen to the tracks on my iPod. I tried burning the wav files to a disc, but I keep getting an error message. Is anyone going to convert this to mp3? If so, could you please share it with me? Thank you!

I don't think iPods can play 24-bit files. I downloaded the 24 bit flac, converted the files to wav with Winamp, but I still can't listen to the tracks on my iPod. I tried burning the wav files to a disc, but I keep getting an error message. Is anyone going to convert this to mp3? If so, could you please share it with me? Thank you!
Interesting note: If you have a program that can convert FLAC to Apple Lossless in 24-bit (I use Max on my Mac), iTunes can play them. That will save some disk space over uncompressed WAVs.
But I'm still not convinced that my aging ears can tell the difference between 24/96 and plain old 16/44.
If you're stuck, I'm open to posting MP3s (Lame -V2 is my preferred method), but I'm afraid Screaming Slave will cry if they escape into the wild.
For my own iPod, I'll be converting them to chapterized AAC files of 20-30 minutes in length -- I find that size ideal for casual listening on my commute. Plus one huge chapterized AAC for more intense listening on my laptop. (Essentially, the tracks are joined into a podcast, with chapter markers for each track.)
I used to make joined MP3s with cue sheets, but I've been completely assimilated into the Apple iBorg collective. iTunes doesn't do cue sheets.

I was completely blown away at the show, it was by far the best show I've ever been too. Topping other NIN shows, Radiohead - whatever.
And I'm watching it on YouTube.

Like I can hear the crowd better than the actual music. The sample sounded better and everyone is talking about how good it sounds so it's obviously something with my computer.

I've been concentrating so hard on spreading the the FLACs around that I haven't looked at any of the videos yet.
Something I should've mentioned earlier: The 16-bit files came from a torrent at dimeadozen.org, started by a user known over there as antimatter. I added the torrent to nintorrents and uploaded them to rapidshare, sendspace and megaupload, but had nothing to do with the 24 -> 16-bit conversions. I'm just the messenger.
The band does sound soft because of the mix at the show. The sample started toward the (louder) end of The Frail leading into The Wretched -- could that be throwing you off, maybe?

For the iPod users, download the program xACT and convert the FLACs to MP3's. The program is free and works great!

I wanted to mention that this was early in the show and I don't really believe the audience got INTO the show until sometime after the Frail/Wretched. Oh thank you, great and wise, Fuzzy-Wan! Problem fixed and I learned something new. I downloaded all of your 16-bit files and converted those to wav. They are fully playable on my iPod! I'm gonna second the request for an MP3 torrent, but for a different reason - I'm on dial-up. 750 megs on a torrent would take like, a week to download. And Mega Upload/Sendspace/Rapidshare don't work well for me because you can't pause downloads on those sites, and I can't leave the computer on for more than like, ten hours at a time.
So if anyone wanted to upload MP3s of this show to Demonoid/NINTorents/TPB, I'd appreciate it, but I completely understand why someone wouldn't want to do that, and I'll probably have access to a computer on broadband sometime in September anyway, but I figured I'd throw out a request for it anyway.

Hell, it's not like the folks in this thread are scattered across the world. I can burn the FLACs to disc and mail 'em to you -- even snail-mail is faster than dial-up.
The 16-bit files won't quite fit on a 700MB CD (unless I try to overburn it, which I'm not too keen on). Do you have a DVD reader?
On DVD you can have your choice of 24 or 16 bits.

I have already taken the files that Fuzzy-Wan so greatly posted and converted them to mp3. I love having the flac but understand some people just want the mp3 versions and don't want to have to deal with converting them themselves.
I can also mail out a CD if you want or if you have a high speed collection email you them individually. (Just trying to help out Fuzzy-Wan not steal your files or thunder)

I would love to have the mp3s. My computer crashed, so right now I am using my husbands work laptop and I tried to download the sendspace files, but he doesn't have any programs on here to unzip the files. I think thats the problem, anyway. I am not the most computer savvy person, but I am really trying.

For simplicity's sake I'd burn them as data, not audio. Easier to copy the files to your hard drive than ripping them, and there are no quality isues. But if you want a playable disc, you can use a program like CDBurnerXP to burn the 16-bit FLACs to CD with no loss of quality -- but you'll need to split it into 2 discs and probably want to use an audio editor to create fade ins/outs between discs 1 & 2.xHeadphone wrote:How do you burn this to a disc, at full quality?

OK, the project got a little out of hand, but that always happens.

Just let me know whether you want 16-bit FLACs on 2 CDs or the 24-bit originals on a DVD.
I don't have any Lightscribe DVD blanks at the moment, but I've found a local source for discs and whatnot, so I expect to remedy that situation shortly.
At this point I'd rather make them to order (free!) than put all of the PDFs and label graphics online, because that would be like putting an instant eBay kit in the hands of the unscrupulous. Better to keep it in the family, so to speak.
Which isn't to say that I'm averse to PMing the source materials to any DIY types out there. The disk labels can be adapted for inkjet printing.
Now, I'd better get Therum's discs in the mail before he faints from NIN-deprivation...

I got this today (without seeing those pictures - haven't been on ETS in a while), and Jesus Christ, it's such a nice set. I told Fuzzy this already, but this is something I'm going to put on my CD Shelf, which I totally wasn't expecting. It's a really awesome set, and I seriously can't thank you enough Fuzzy.

Just be aware that it takes a while (sometimes a long while) to put these together. The latest plan is to do a bunch at once, which might speed things up -- that remains to be seen. (I also need to buy some supplies, because I can't keep borrowing them from my employers indefinitely. Heh.)
