i'm missing a song or two, but that was it. stellar performance, trent flubbed TDTWWA and survivialism lyrics, and there was alot of keyboard/mic stand throwing. the still becoming version kicks ass. echoplex out of nowhere, that was a favorite from LITS, and FUCK YEA IN THIS TWILIGHT! a girl next to me commented it was a classy ending. :)

onwards to phoenix!
As I checked into my hotel before the concert tonight, Mr. Reznor was walking right out. Talk about insane timing!

The show was fucking great. I was concerned without all the awesome visual treats, but it had so much energy. I've never seen someone care so much about their live show. I've seen NIN enough at this point to realize he gives 100% every single show. I was bummed that Ilan wasn't on a riser. I was in front and couldt still barely are him. They didn't play "Right Where It Belongs" which makes me a sad panda. I wish I couldt hit up another show... They're not to be missed

I am grateful someone else posted the set list, even though I was not drinking the last thing I was doing was checking off songs.

Basically the show kicked ass, Trent came out from the back non chalant, kicked ass, and left, is the basic equation.

I highly recommend SSSC, they busted there ass up on stage tonight. Tom was playing some wicked guitar as well.

Overall the show was excellent, well worth the money.

And yea I was the white guy, black bandana, just about center in the pit, just in case any of my fellow moshers are reading this.

An absolutely amazing experience. Every band member was on point. The sound was crisp and powerful. There seemed to be a great connection between the crowd and the band and the set list rocked my world.

The somewhat damaged intro owns. With that 4/4 single note sawtooth synth intro to a punch in the face. The Fragile was incredible. The Becoming works incredibly well. They had to perfect mix of well-known tracks to their lesser known work.

As mentioned, SSSC set the tone. They were very energetic, vital and excited to be there. We were excited to have them. They're a tremendous live band.

I can't wait to see the differences in variation in Colorado. Thanks guys!
Awesome show, terrible crowd. "fellow moshers?" there was moshing?

Some video from the show...not the best, but the audio is really good, considering the awful quality audio this thing usually captures at concerts (just not made to pick up at those volumes!).

Great show! I really loved the songs that were chosen to be played, and the band seemed to be having fun. Some photos I took:

Finally back to a computer after driving 2300 miles in 6 days to see 3 shows. Of the 30-something shows I've been to on 3 continents, this is probably tied for 1st place. My entire Albuquerque "Santa Fe" experience was awesome.

Drove the 13 hours from Austin (where the crowd sucked) straight to the venue to check it out before I found a hotel. As I drove to the front of the parking lot to get a look at the stage, the security guy looked at me from his truck. I pulled up to him to say I was checking out the venue and the parking since I've never been here before. He said "You haven't been here before? Would you like a tour of the stage?" I was like "What do you mean?" He said "Would you like a tour of the stage and the dressing rooms?" I was like "Um.... hell yeah!" So before I realized I could have been tortured and murdered, we drove down the access road and I stood on the stage and heard about the owl that lives in the rafters and waits for the bunnies to run across the lawn in the evenings and swoops down and eats them. I was there just as the sun was setting and the sky was that awesome blue and the venue was beautiful (sans dying bunnies) so I had a feeling we'd be in for a great show. Got a tour of the dressing rooms and the catering tent and after some chit chat about motorcycles, I went on my merry way.

Got in line the next day where everyone was very nice. Got on the rail in front of JMJ after waiting many hours in the sun. All the people around me were cool which makes everything so much better. SSSC was enjoyable.

As Trent walked at the back of the stage before any music or singing started, the 2 guys behind me started screaming "For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever and ever. Amen it's Trent! I can see him!" *fangirl scream* I thought it was girls behind me, but no. Hilarious. Somewhat Damaged is quite possibly the best opener. The first 10 seconds of this show were a million times better than the entire Austin show. Trent's energy was incredible and the crowd was awesome.

I was a bit disappointed that we got the regular version of Piggy instead of NCSMN. Until Trent came down into the audience in MY direction! (Finally!) I put my hand out and he grabbed it as he stepped into the crowd just to the left of me. He stayed there for what seemed like 45 seconds. It was a long time. The entire setlist was great. I finally got to see Physical live! Justin's finger cymbals were sweet. Ilan kicks all kinds of ass. Robin still scares the shit out of me and is awesome. In This Twilight was the perfect closing song for this venue.

I must admit I had my doubts at first, but I love that NIN plays first. The boys in Jane's are so entertaining AND amazing musicians. Anyone who leaves right after NIN is a complete fucktard. JA is 4 guys who are magic when they are together. The music is completely unique, and each member stands out in his own way. You can equally hear the amazing drumming, fucking incredible bass, crazy guitar and totally unique vocals. Everybody in JA is incredible. Everybody everybody everybody..... You people who aren't familiar with them need to stick around. Three Days is one of the best songs ever written.

On a fangirl note, Dave Navarro is made of sex. I ended up directly in front of him, and even though I don't normally go for flashiness and shiny and bling, he is mesmerizing. He doesn't even need to do anything and he just oozes anything you could ever want. It's a total bonus that he's so talented. At one point he stepped off the stage onto the box in front of me and I reached out my hand. He leaned over and reached his hand out but I couldn't quite reach, so he leaned a little bit more. I had to jump up over the rail a bit and was able to touch fingers with him and he smiled at me and walked back onto the stage. I squealed like a stupid fangirl for 2 days. I am ashamed of myself.

This whole show (and whole experience) was phenomenal. I'm home in Pheonix for today and head to Vegas tomorrow!

The "I love you, Santa Fe" exclamation by Perry cracked me up. I heard a wall of boos crash over me just after he said that. Albuquerque folk generally don't like Santa Fe as they feel it's elitist and "woo-woo". I live in Santa Fe...and all I could think was "You sure as shit aint in Santa Fe". Totally different aesthetic, population and vibe. Anyway, sucks that they just looked at it as a pit stop to more important places but they all put on an amazing show. Definitely the best NIN performance I've ever seen...I've been to 3.

Perkules: Glad to hear you echo that sentiment from such a dedicated stance. 30 something shows and this ties for 1st place? I feel even more fortunate after reading that. Were you the one Trent pointed at toward the end of the set when he said something somewhat sentimental. (I can't remember what it was)
Master of the Ninth Arch
He pointed to the girl directly behind me. She made a shirt that said Happy Birthday Trent (along those lines) and held it up.

I'm sure they didn't think of Albq as a pit stop. I'm sure it's really hard to keep track of where you are. I only did 3 shows and I lost all concept of date, time and location. It was a very Spinal Tap moment and very funny. The people around me were just laughing and saying "Noooooo! Not Santa Fe!" No one seemed mad. Jesus Christ anyway, all of New Mexico is the middle of nowhere! Thank God for GPS!

And yes, tied for 1st. I love the diversity and randomness of the setlists. It's every hardcore fan's dream. It was the overall experience that made this so awesome. Especially the crowd.
Master of the Ninth Arch
In my mind, this tour kinda is to fill the holes that they left out of the LITS tour. NM, AZ, etc. Not as much as a 'pit stop', but kinda like 'oh crap, we left out these places!'.
Amazing ... EVERYTHING. This show was just plain amazing.

I almost forgot that "The Good Soldier" is the best shit evar.

We love you Santa Feeeeeeeee!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Just got back online so I'm posting this having seen 2 more shows after and I can definitely say that this was the best. I don't know if Trent was making up for a lackluster show in Austin or what but he really brought it in ABQ. The setlist was great and seemed like it had two songs from every album. Trent fell into the crowd just on my left during piggy and almost broke my arm while pushing me off the rail. I didn't care though because he was about a foot away and you could see in his face that he was totally immersed in this show. Also, I'd never noticed that Trent has a really big head for a dude who's only 5'7 or so.

Stret sweeper was a really good opening act. They have a sort of rock hip hop mix that's easy to get into even if you don't know the songs. Tom Morrello finally has an outlet to play as many gratuitous guitar solos as he wants, and honestly, I'm all for it.

Janes played a good set even though I'm pretty sure Perry was all hepped up on pain killers. He kept falling down and people on the side of the stage looked concerned, but he always got back up and never let his energy down.
After seeing other cities playlists I am severely disappointed. This is NIN's 2nd stop ever in Albuquerque. You would think after only playing this place once before, maybe a proper setlist covering songs from tours that never came here would suffice. Songs ommitted that should have been played:

Wish
Mr. Self Destruct
Last
I'm Afraid of Americans (David Bowie cover)
Heresy
I Do Not Want This
Reptile
Now I'm Nothing
Down In It
Me I'm Not
Hurt
Meet Your Master
The Great Destroyer
Closer
Into The Void
Starfuckers Inc

But NOOOOOOOOO!!!! We get a NIN jam band with piano interludes. I can see why Trent is calling it quits. He's old and tired.
i was there.
my boyfriend and i drove all the way from louisiana to be at the show.
in short, it was amazing.
and i'm glad that i got to touch him whenever he jumped into the crowd.
and when he started playing "the day the whole world went away"... i was in shock.
i actually made a bet with my boyfriend that he would play it, because it's my favorite song, and it's our song.
i have it tattooed on my wrist. :)
the drive through texas was worth it.
