God, johnbron totally tackled me tonight.

I'm not going to attempt to post the setlist because I don't remember the order at all. But all I've got to say is:

NOW I'M FUCKING NOTHING!

Great fucking performance from NIN. Loved every second of it.

MAJOR thanks to kchybrid for hooking me up with the ticket. You're the fucking man!

i'm sure most of you will disagree with me, but i thought tonight's set list was kind of weak. I'm jealous of some of the other shows from this tour so far. we didn't get anything new, no metal, no i'm afraid of Americans, no mr. self destruct, no last, no TDTWWA, at least we got now i'm nothing and the becoming. would have much rather had last nights setlist.

on another note, Jane's Addiction was fucking awesome. Perry fell off the stage and didn't miss a beat. i don't think that was a planned part of the show.

Just got back to the hotel from the show and I have to leave for Chicago in a couple hours so I'll try to be brief.

I saw a few meet-and-greet folks leave with their signed shit just before the line for normal ticket-holders finally started moving, and I caught Boots on his way out and said something to the effect of "Hey, man, kick ass tonight!"

And he did. S.S.S.C. was excellent and I filmed their whole set, albeit from the distant left corner of the venue. I was doing pretty well until Tom asked everyone to stand up (after he dedicated the song to a guy in a wheelchair...lawl?), at which point my footage took a bit of a nosedive.

I shot all of NIN from the same area (Section 7, I believe), and just did my best to compensate for the distance with my zoom while maintaining as steadily braced and locked stance as possible. Freehanding it at maximum zoom for 2 hours is a bitch-and-a-half, but I think I did all right.

After NIN finished I met up with my mom and sister by the concessions and we were in line for drinks when Jane's Addiction started. My sister ran off to get her Navarro fix while my mom and I waited to get our drinks and one for my sister. They were in the 4th row together but I figured I'd help my mom carry their drinks down as far as security would let me.

They were a little busy and distracted so I walked right into the $150 seat area with my nosebleed ticket!!! So I have some pretty amazing JA footage. That was pretty fuckin' awesome. Sneaky, sneaky.

Oh, and my mom had my 2nd camcorder down there with her so she has a 2nd angle for NIN and JA, but it was her first time using ANY camcorder whatsoever so it remains to be seen just how worthwhile her footage might be, lol.

I won't be home until after North Carolina, but it'll be worth the wait.

Anyway, it was an AMAZING show. Got a patch, a messenger bag, and a cheap-o bootleg shirt outside. I figure there'll be more NIN merch at the Chicago show so I'll probably do more of my spending there. Many more shows to go.

I can't believe some of the stuff I heard NIN play tonight, and S.S.S.C. and J.A. held their own quite admirably. Perry definitely knew where he was, talking to the crowd about mainlining oxycontin and crystal meth and then adding something like "Oh, yeah...I know how you party." That was pretty hilarious. But even moreso was his midsong spill from the edge of the stage when he tried to jump towards the rail (I think...hopin' someone has better footage of that). He finished the song, they left the stage, and then there was a short announcement about Perry being paralyzed before he came back out and said something like "I ain't gonna lie to you, that hurt like hell." Didn't seem to slow 'em down much, though...they rocked out for the rest of the set, nonetheless.

And For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever and ever. Amen...NIN/NIN/NIN.

What a badass show.

I'll write a more in-depth, moment-by-moment write up tomorrow.

The Mother F-ing Wretched. After seeing them twice last year(OKC, Tulsa) and having to seeing the Frail prelude into Closer both times, I was so excited that I finally got to see it done the way it is supposed to be done. This was also my 1st non-pit show and Wish, Gave Up, and MOTP just doesn't have the same feeling without slamming into someone or being slammed into. Overall good show(not as good as the Austin show). Sad that this will be the last time to ever see them live.

Nice set, great sound. Loved the cool mist/fog that rolled in. A good crowd. Wave wave wave goodbye.

This was my first NIN show... and while I found it 100% satisfying, I'm just sad I probably won't be able to see em again.

My favorite parts of the show were Now I'm Nothing into Terrible Lie, The Frail into The Wretched, Burn, and The Way Out Is Through.

Over all awesome. I'm sad that I missed half of JA's first song due to lines, but definitely enjoyed the rest of their set. Loved the screen, made me wish NIN would have used it.

there were TONS of people filming. In my row alone, 5 people, including myself. There was a guy in the 2nd row who had the most professional set-up I've ever seen that was still considered amateur. He filmed all three bands in their entirety as well, I believe. Hopefully his material surfaces soon.

I'll post more tomorrow, but let me just say that seeing the show for free + having free range to go all over (anywhere BUT the presale area) to get different angles for video was pretty great. Also, my friend and I managed to get all of our flyers handed out (except a few, some of which we left at the merch stands, and some we kept to hand out around town to promote SSSC). The people who got us the free passes handled everything very well, and it was nice to meet the tour manager for SSSC. Very nice, but very busy

All in all, great show. I actually got to see SSSC this time around.

Expect TONS of ace pictures and video soon (including Perry's little slip). A couple of people actually thought my friend and I were legitimate photographers with the band, with our passes as "high end" equipment, hah!

By the way...did anyone know what the fuck that "monk" was handing out in the Zebra parking lot? Some DVD about "transcending karma" or something?

Yeah, there were at least two of 'em, actually. I just saw they were selling -- erm, excuse me, accepting donations in exchage for free copies of -- some DVD and the Bagavhad-Gita.

Meh.

Shockingly, I actually saw them move a couple units.

And, btw, anyone who thinks there are no bad seats at the Starlight is CRAZY...if I hadn't had a camcorder with a 35X zoom lens I would've been watching a band the size of large ants. People around me kept complaining about how much they paid and how they still couldn't see shit.

A few of the people behind me huddled around my seat just so they could see SOMETHING through my viewfinder. They made some funny comments about it but I couldn't talk back because I had a mic mounted on my throat with my collar, lol.

Can't wait to see everyone else's footage and pictures.

Our collective, multi-angle K.C. DVD sounds like it's gonna kick ass.

Highly enjoyable. I sat nigh in the back behind the soundboard, and with the exception of having to bob back and forth to see around the giant infront of me, I was amazed at how well I could see. The sound was pretty spot on, and whoever is running the lights for NIN was just as fun to watch as the band. I thought he was going to lose it during the Wretched.

SSSC blew me away, although I was really looking forward to Clap for the Killers which wasn't played.

Jane's put on a killer show, I saw them a few years ago, but Eric Avery makes all the difference!

NIN was solid. Seemed like Robin was having a couple of tech issues throughout but if you weren't looking your probably wouldn't have noticed.

I loved this show. Very happy to get to see SSSC and Jane's addiction at least once. Thrilled to hear Now I'm Nothing and The Becoming! Happy with the rest of the setlist.

Fan-fucking-tastic show. Might discuss this further once I've finally slept. Traveling across Missouri in the middle of the night isn't fun. Got video of Summertime Rolls, though I don't know how good it is because I was using my little point and shoot to film it, plus my arms were tired.

If anyone found a sony minidv tape by the lower merch booth let me know. I don't want it back as much as I just want a copy of it.

Suck was soundchecked sans vocals btw.

Great show! This was my third time seeing them and it was probably one of the most exciting ones yet because hopefully this isn't the last time I get to see them. This was my first time driving outside of St. Louis and while it freaked me out at first, things couldn't have gone any smoother actually. The hotel my girlfriend and I stayed at was right off of the highway and only about a good ten minutes away from Starlight. I was glad we were able to check in so early and relax before the show too.

Well when we got there, we waited in the nin.com presale line and while it looked really cloudy..it wasn't raining until we actually got inside the venue prior to the doors being open to the public but thankfully it stopped raining within like a good twenty minutes. I thought the Starlight was an awesome venue and it looked/sounded incredible. Our seats were in BOX 1, Row H and I remember thinking to myself how bad I wanted ORCH seats but I still can't believe how close to the stage we were even with the seats we had. We had a great view and this was probably the closest to the stage I've ever been for a Nine Inch Nails show. I was able to talk to a guy named Michael who when I asked didn't have a name of ETS but was familar with nin.com and I want to say a BIG thank you to Nathan, I believe you said your name was Papalagosh (sorry if I got that wrong) and Lt. R-a-n-d-a-z-z-o (heh heh filter), Tony, for coming up to me to introduce yourselves. I thought that was the neatest thing and it was so nice to meet you guys.

Street Sweeper Social Club kicks ass live...so much of it sounds like Rage Against the Machine but I'm perfectly fine with that. Their cover of Paper Planes sounded so good and I thought their attire was actually really cool. Trent couldn't have picked a cooler opener.

As far as NIN goes, they delivered once again. While I will agree with pogo and say that as far as the set list goes, it was about average. I still can't believe we didn't get Metal, Heresy, Americans, TDTWWA or even Down In It. The songs we DID get to hear like Becoming, Way Out is Through, Physical, Piggy (Nothing Can Stop Me Now), Fragile and fucking NOW I'M NOTHING blew my mind. I remember telling people in line how awesome it would be if they actually opened up with that and I can't tell you how excited I was to hear it. Yet while they didn't play a lot of songs I was hoping to hear, I'd say NIN was on top form and this was probably the most intense show I've ever seen from them. March of the Pigs sounded even more heavier than usual (thanks to Trent hurling a microphone stand in the air) and Survivalism had an even more eletronic edge to it. There was just so much energy and with the seats I had, it was great to experience it that way. Musically, these guys are still on the top of their game and each one of the members brings something really special to the show. The lights are also pretty neat, not as much of a show as the LITS tour but still really cool.

Anybody else think Robin Finck jumping up near his amp during the Wish solo was badass?

I think Trent must read the upcoming shows forums on nin.com and he made sure to let everyone know "Oh, it's not going to rain..." Haha. Hopefully, Trent changes his mind about 'touring in ten years'.

With all that being said, I pretty much knew I was going for Nine Inch Nails. I was extremely excited for the Jane's Addiction announcement because I thought it couldn't get much more badass with JA opening...then came the announcement they would be headlining and I really didn't know what to think. I thought the opening video was an awesome way to get into the show but opening with Three Days really didn't do it for me. In fact, a lot of the songs being played a step or two down sounded off to me. About three or four songs in, I headed out which doesn't bother me too much as I'm sure some awesome footage is on it's way soon. I don't like when bands jam and JA seemed to be doing a lot of that at the beginning which some people like and that's fine but it just wasn't for me....plus..I'm what some people might call a bad fan and my favorite song is Jane Says, the closer.

Overall, this was a great experience for me. I saw my favorite band on what could be (bet you ten bucks it's not ) it's final tour at an awesome venue and took a road trip to go see it. Thanks for everything Trent!

Amazing trip of lifetime! Couldn't have turned out better, rain held off, picked the perfect hotel (Brett, Jerome, Ilan, then Robin all spotted), awesome opportunity to help out someone and share the beginning of the perfect evening with some cools folks in the M&G line and then the perfect night of rocking the fuck out. <That's as Tom Morello would phrase it!

Photos to come but my view was obstructed due to a very tall, nice young man, who I could swear was directly in front of me two years ago in Champaign, IL for Evanescence, but were still fantastic seats. I know that's was a horrible run-on sentence with bad structure but I don't think my brain is working right yet!

Loved the songs we got and the band seemed really raw and energetic. Maybe it was just the fact that I've never been 8 rows back from the stage in the front! Not a GA person so this venue was perfect for me. Thoroughly enjoyed SSSC....we are not a band, we are a social club! Looking forward to hearing their album soon. JA wasn't quite as spectacular as SSSC and NIN for me, but it was nice getting a chance to see them. Dave, Eric and Steven are all talented musicians and Perry just is an amusing frontman. Poor guy fell and hurt himself again! "Perry Farrell is now paralyzed and leaving for the hospital.....nah, but I'm not going to kid you, that hurt like shit!"

I couldn't have planned a more perfect "last" show. My friend and I really had the time of our lives!

Shout out to Sherri and Deb! It was a pleasure to meet you two ladies. Glad you got to finally hear "The Wretched" live! Hope you had a safe trip back home.

Having to hand out fliers was totally worth it. It was weird handing them out to people throughout the venue, so my friend and I just decided to stand at a couple of the gates and hand them out. Chances are I gave some of you guys a pass at some point The "No BS" passes we got were pretty great. I got to move around the entire venue, with the exception of the pre-sale area!

I'm planning to totally revamp the site with the next update with a CMS but right now I think I might be coming down with a sinus infection or something because I'm feeling really woozy and kinda sick so I'm not sure if I'll be able to do much of anything unless I feel better after I've gotten some sleep.

Wow. So that was my first concert and all I can say is wow. It was by far the coolest experience EVER (maybe I over dramatized that one) but it was way cool. I liked the fact that I spent it with my dad too. It probably would have been different if my first concert experience was with some one else.

Street Sweeper Social Club was amazing. At first, I thought they would be lame. But I actually enjoyed them. The energy the band set off during their performance was very cool too. I enjoyed the cover of Paper Planes too. Made me laugh when they played that.

When Nine Inch Nails came on, that's when I decided to stand on my seat. Shortness does not come in handy at concerts. I felt a little bad too even though I asked the people behind me if they would care or not. I got AMAZING shots of Robin Finck (and a couple good ones of Rob Sheridan I couldn't help myself).

Jane's Addiction was cool too even though I know NONE of their songs. Perry was definitely a very strange person I think. But strangeness is always good I believe. I found it funny when he fell off stage and did that whole "Perry Ferrel is paralyzed and is being rushed to the hospital right now".

I am very glad I got to experience this and was able to see Nine Inch Nails before they go on their long tour break. Definitely a five-star experience.

Oh really? I do not recall you. I hope I wasn't in your way during the concert. And thanks for the kudos, my kudos go to my dad for getting me into all of this. I mainly got all excited when I saw Rob because of him.

I did walk around the front a few times trying to get rid of the stickers because my dad talked me into it. I ended up making 2 dollars though. That was quite exciting really. Me and my dad were seated in orchestra 2 seats so I dunno.

And my two cents on the setlist are that yes I would have preferred less LITS material and more rarities (lets face it the Denver show got the mother-load of material) but that fact that the performance so was spot-on and energetic made up for it. The show highlights for me were obvious Now I'm Nothing/Terrible Lie (fucking unreal finally hearing that combo in person), The Way Out Is Through, Physical, and as everyone else has been saying Wish was beyond stellar. Gave Up and Burn both felt more energetic than usual as well. I would have prefered La Mer over echoplex though. La Mer is the one NIN song I've always wanted to see in person the most, and Echoplex is probably my least favorite NIN song. But yeah, it was really nice to see Trent on stage laughing too, when he introduced the band. You could tell they were all having a great time. It was definitely a great show to leave on.

And It's also weird to me to see people so excited that they played The Wretched. I've seen NIN 3 times now and they've played it The Wretched every single time. I'm just spoiled by it apparently.

I had on a brown hoodie and a messenger bag with all my equipment on it. And I was more to the left of you so you weren't in my way at all.

This show rocked my face off. Not the best NIN show I've been to (the With_Teeth warmup tour in a small club in Toronto was the best, for me), but hearing some songs I'd never heard live before really kicked ass.

I took a couple videos with my crappy digital camera, obviously won't be anywhere near the quality of the stuff other people will have shot, but you get the idea.

Wow...where to even begin with how incredible this day was.

This was my 7th (and hopefully not final) time seeing Nine Inch Nails. First during Fragility, 3 during With Teeth, 2 during Lights in the Sky, and this one. The sound was nice and loud. That made me happy, because I had seats that were pretty far back.

Showed up to be let in for the donor entry. Lots of other fans with memorabilia to sign hanging around. Bugs everywhere. At about 4:00 we were let in. I got to meet the band, had my year zero liner notes signed, and my wife and I had a picture taken with them...ahhh. This alone sealed the night as being unforgettable. I was shaking.

It was unusually cold. Immediately after the meet and greet it started to rain, but it eventually let up. Either right before or right after NIN played "Gave Up" Trent nonchalantly said "It's not gonna rain!", which was really funny.

SSSC really impressed me. If you like rage, this would be your thing. Great energy. Great stage presence. All around, they were just really fun to watch.

------NIN--------

Started with "Now I'm Nothing", which was of course followed by the ever depressing "Wave Goodbye" refrain...yeah. Make it worse!

Piggy (nothing can stop me now)-first time I've ever heard this live. It rocked. They were spot on.

The Becoming-another first for me. They rocked on this one too. Trent did the synth solo, and it was fucking incredible. The end was brutal. Robin's screaming in the background was just vicious.

THE FRAGILE-I have ALWAYS wanted to hear this live. Thank you! It seemed to be a blend of the album version and the VMA version. I'm sure most of you have heard it. It was absolutely flawless. Amazing.

THE WAY OUT IS THROUGH-Wow. To top it off, another rare track from the fragile! One of my favorites. I never thought I would hear this live. It was great.

Rob filmed "Physical". We'll see if anything comes of that.

Immediately after "Survivalism" Trent talked about the donations that have been collected for Eric De La Cruz. He said something to the effect that he is "blown away by how nice people are sometimes". Then he said "while we're being all warm and fuzzy I want to take this opportunity to introduce the band." Trent and his witty banter.

I don't know if it was around this same time or not, but Trent mentioned "Some of you may have heard that this is our last tour...". Ugh. I hope not. It will be a total loss if this is the last we hear of Nine Inch Nails.

Head Like A Hole was pretty amazing. We all thought this was the end of the set, but then they came out and played possibly the best version of "Hurt" I've ever heard them play. Absolutely fantastic.

-------Jane's Addiction------------

Contrary to reports at other shows, virtually everyone stayed for Jane's Addiction's set. I was pleasantly surprised. Granted, I wasn't one of those people. I had to leave. I left as they played "Been Caught Stealing". So, I saw about 40 minutes of their set. I think that's reasonable. Sorry if that makes people mad, but to each their own.

I heard about Perry falling. I wish I would have stayed to see that. I heard about the whole "Perry wants you to know that he's paralyzed now" thing. Apparently he didn't skip a beat. Good for him.

All in all, this was an incredible experience. I will remember it for the rest of my life. I hope NIN comes out of its hibernation soon. I can already sense how miserable things are going to be without them.

I completely agree with you about the set list my thoughts exactly. The performance was good the setlist was boring, though I was very happy about The Becoming.

Is there anyone who video taped the show that could make me a copy? My friend's 17 yr old brother filmed it but his footage is horrible and makes us motion sick. I'll pay for the cost of the blank DVD and shipping. Please PM me. Thanks.

I noticed that the file sizes/splits in this torrent seem really random, ranging from 68 MB to almost 4 GB. Is this all just the raw data, or are there multiple clips of the same song in varying quality?

Just curious, as this is a LOT to download.

My dv has scene detection so everytime i paused my camera its a new clip. I set it to a 4gb max file size so you can burn to dvd's. The main reason why there are so many clips is that i recorded the crowd and before the show I also got a shot of Tom Morello walkin in with the guy he announced on stage. Pretty much just extras!

All images were shot from Box 4, row H with a Nikon D200 w/ a Sigma 18-50mm f/2.8 lens. Any grainy images are due to the high ISO I was shooting with.

He's a big contributor to the TOIOU footage, too! I saw that he had videos for this show, but never got around to watching them...He seems like a nice guy, so I'm sure he'd be happy to help us out.

It must have been toward the end of Burn or during Gave Up, judging from the setlists and the order of the pictures...

BTW, the lighting for Burn was KILLER. I actually think I enjoyed this tour's production more than the last one.

I remember seeing that guy the whole show. He had a ton of equipment and had a poncho over his big ass camera, and what appeared to me equipment strapped to his hat.

Just downloaded the audio..damn..I wish I could see another show again this year.

Also rofl @ Trent getting the lyrics bass ackwards. He does it a lot with songs like "The Wretched" and "Letting You"-to the point where they become pretty much permeant revisions to the lyrics-i.e.:

&
-"...the far aways, the better days..."

I'm not sure if Trent is becoming senile in his age already or is just like "Fuck it! That's the way I'm gonna sing the song now!"

That's not who that was. Chaonatic was sitting beside me, normal looking guy with a super fancy looking camera. I don't know who the poncho/hat guy was, also haven't seen anything that he recorded.
