NIN played 1 hour 55 minutes.
Good balanced show.
Sound was perfect.
Band works like a perfect machine. I do a lot of concerts, but I still haven't seen such a good fitting/working band like NIN. Very professional.
The lightshow is better than 2007: everything matched and was right That lightguy (I mean light-engineer) is awesome. The ritual, the passion, emotion. Awesome.

Very good show, enjoyed it a lot.

Nice crowd, everyone really seemed to be into it. Even Trent seemed to finally have made peace with Germany I didn't get all the words but in a little speech between songs he mentioned a festival and that today the real fans are in the audience - something like that. A lot of "thank you"s and another little remark towards the end of the show. Pointing at the front rows Trent said "I see some familiar faces there - it's good to see you".

Setlist for me was fantastic, a lot of stuff I never got to hear live until yesterday. Highlights: La Mer, Mr. Selfdestruct, TDTWWA, Gone Still.

As witte wrote the band as a whole was perfect, each one being a brilliant musician.

Trent had some minor voice problems towards the end of the show but nevertheless he sounded great throughout the concert.

Makes me a little sad thinking about not being able to see such a great live band again in the future...

I really envy you Mr. selfdestruct. I always wished to see it live. I, unfortunatelly wasn't at the concert but wanted so much.

Fantastic show! Much better than I had expected! I saw NIN live for 5 times now and I think this was the best performance. Trents voice was awesome, the setlist was great, the crowd was good tonight and Trent seemed to be in a great mood until the little fuck up in Echoplex where someone (I think it was Justin) made a mistake and started a part of the song too early. Apart from that it was as perfect as it gets and I still can't believe that this could have been my very last NIN show ever! That would suck so much!

While I am talking about something that sucks...
The NIN team was great as usual, making jokes and threating the fans with respect. I asked this fella (forgot his name) what the policy is on video cameras during the show and he said they had arranged an open camera policy for that even which made me totally happy as I had just bought a digital camcorder just for this show! So I was filming the show and I was in the middle of the second song when this stupid venue security guy asked me to switch of my camcorder! I said he made a mistake and that there is an open cam policy in place and that he should just shut up and fuck off but he didn't like that and he kept telling me about his "orders". Stupid moron! I had to switch it off before the end of the second song! What a shame! Of course I switched it back on later on but in the end I only got about 40 minutes of the 120 minutes show on video. Better than nothing but still a pain in the arse as I was gonna make a DVD and share it online. Now I can only cut and enhance the material I have and post it on youtube or vimeo. Let's see...

A few words about Mew...
I think Mew was great and a breath of fresh air. They sounded a bit like Placebo should sound like if you ask me. Catchy songs and I like the way they kept playing one song after another without making any breaks as if it was just one very long song. I will definitely check them out now. Most people in the crowd didn't seem to appreciate them though. There was a polite applause at the end but that's basically it. Not much movement in the field.

One more word about the venue...
The size of the venue was just perfect - not too big, not too small and I think the prices for the drinks and food were ok. I've seen higher prices at different venues. What I really liked was the sound and that they made it easy for people to go for a smoke and come back in afterwards. Good job there!

Merch...
There was less merch than in the US or Australia, I think and it was ridiculously expensive. I bought a t-shirt (EUR 35.00) and the messenger bag (EUR 60.00!) anyway. I guess there is no price I won't pay for NIN. Also, one cannot really complain. Trent has given us lots of stuff for free and he deserves it if you ask me. Still. 25 Euros for a shirt and 50 Euros for the bag would have been a bit "nicer".

that sucks, sorry to hear.
anyway, even if your recording is very incomplete, i think a lot of people would appreciate a dvd quality release of your material. at least i would, greatly.

btw there were signs outside the venue (both in düsseldorf and berlin) saying that all kinds of professional video or audio recording was prohibited. so i guess the open policy was left on the other side of the atlantic... could be a venue policy though. doesn't have to do anything with the band (probably doesn't).

There is no official open taping policy for the European/Asian shows in general. Perhaps it was too difficult to arrange such a thing in so many different countries, I don't know.

Unfortunately, it doesn't look like there will be 10 different recordings of every show like there was with the U.S. tour.

Is Nickelsdorf really the only show to be publicly shared so far?

Please do not compare this Band with Placebo, just don't - they have nothing in common!

Musically they were not bad, but the singer - he behaved very weird, kind of shy and his singing - bah - don't like that at all.

NIN were really great, awesome show, liked the setlist (Fragile & The Becoming!!!! - goosebumbs though it was hot and sweaty), crowd was really into it, maybe some people were too into it - I just don't want huge fat guy with big hair and metal in his face bumb into me small girl. After the show just smiling guys, everyone happy - I loved that.

But I didn't love at all sticking on the parking lot for 45 min, when I still have a three hours drive home.

Finally, the shirt will be put to rest !

actually he said that its good to play a show in front of only NIN fans after all those festival gigs.

still havent found any recordings, hope there will be something soon...

sound was good, setlist was ok, wished that they had played less rare songs and more the "hits". i was there with a friend and she knew a bit of NIN (burned here some kind of best of and the LITS sacramento gig on CD) and she knew only around 5 songs or so.
best song was IMO the good soldier, greatest song, also fragile, TDTWWA, of course terrible lie and the becoming were great, but mr. selfdestruct was very bad (the drums were realy out of sync, its hard to play offbeat the whole time, but it sounded at some parts very terrible). also strange that they had no keyboarder. an industrial band without keyboard?

mew were terrible. im openminded, i like soundscapes, dreampop, techno etc. but this was just...the singer was the worst and the keyboards sounds were terrible..really terrible. and you needed 5 songs to figure out in which language the singer sings, the vocals were completly distorted. i was happy when it was over, worst support-band ive seen in a long time, when i compare that US-Fans had JA and SSSC

the light-engineer was realy funny ;D he freked out and he actually headbanged to such songs like gone, still...

the audience was a bit lame. it was my first NIN concert (last time they were in europe i couldnt go because i had to play a gig...) but i thought that there would be more jumpin around and so on, but well, the setlist was not a killer-setlist

i havent buyed a tshirt...35 euros are too much, sorry guys. the concet itself costed 40 euros, but outside the venue were some tshirt guys, 10 euro a tshirt, not so pretty but the NIN logo at the front, at the back the wave goodbye logo, just black and white.

all in all: some more catchy songs would had been cool, lower merch-prices, higher volume and a better audience, and it would been one of the best concerts ever.
