It was fun, last show for me...

It was good. Even a generic NIN show is still above most else. Jane's certainly gave them a run for their money. Very Slip heavy set. No Metal, I'm Afraid Of Americans, Heresy, Last, The Fragile, La Mer, The Day The World Went Away, The Big Come Down, Terrible Lie, Somewhat Damanged etc., etc., etc.

Disappointed in that aspect of it (should of went to one of the Jersey shows), but still a good time.

keeping in mind that nin is my favorite band, and this is my 5th time seeing them...

tonight sucked. where were all these "rarely-played songs" i keep seeing from other shows? i don't expect another show by any band i see in my life to top last september's philly performance, but jesus...the only songs i hadn't seen at least twice before were the way out is through and dead souls. granted i didn't see the soundcheck, where they played metal, but by the end of tonight's set i didn't even want a goddamn t-shirt.

i really love nine inch nails a shitload, and have seen so many great shows and geeked out over damn-near every song trent and co have written, i was just incredibly let down by this show. audio problems abound, too - i didn't realize justin was playing an upright bass (or anything for that matter) until i looked over and saw him doing so. la mer is half what it was in atlanta in 2000, trent's mic fucked up for the first half-verse of survivalism and he didn't talk at all. we got two thank you's and they left.

*shrug* where were home, i'm afraid of americans, mr self destruct, heresy, i do not want this, banged and blown through, last, the fragile, downward spiral, physical, gone still OR somewhat damaged?

They played Piggy, Discipline, Metal & The Day The World Went Away at soundcheck...

that's cool though! i'm glad you liked tonight as much as you did. i hope i don't ruin any of the fun of it for you by having such negative comments, but compared to the other times i've seen them it just didn't stack up. of course we're all looking for different things in a show (most assholes around us didn't "get" any of the slower songs and chose to talk through them), so maybe i'm just an asshole.

i don't want to be that nit-picky jerk who always wants more, and i don't think i'll ever be "over" nin or jaded by them, but tonight felt like a sour note on which to leave, for me. oh well. still my favorite band, still seen them put on a hell of a show before, still in love with nearly all their music.

No problem, this being my second show in NIN history. In hindsight, I will say that what made tonight's show special was the JA combo, SSSP were awesome and the pit experience, it was sort of wild at some point. I don't think I would have had as much fun if it were just for NIN alone and that's kind of sad.

Nah, this guy was pretty consistent throughout, even the lyrics Perry left out intentionally. If it was on the CD, it was coming out of his mouth. Fortunately he seemed to drift away about 2/3rd through the set.... guess he couldn't of been that hardcore.

I really do need to get their new box set though. Hopefully Trent can pull their teeth enough to get some new material out.

I'd be happy with him just remixing/remastering "Nothing's Shocking", kind of like how Pearl Jam had Brendan O'Brien remix "Ten" for the bonus disc of the new deluxe edition. Sometimes the subtle makes all the difference in the world.

I can't complain about NIN. I was in the lawn and I couldn't see a thing besides the tv screen. It sounded great though. I'm glad I got to see Dead Souls & The Becoming. The Becoming was just amazing.

Some guy gave me and my friend tickets for row N in the left loge at the beginning of Jane's Addiction's set. Thanks if you're reading this, those seats were awesome. Janes was great and they saved the night for me. Great show.

Social Club was cool too. We almost had a drinking game for every time Boots or Morello said "Social Club", but we didn't want to be passed out before NIN's set.

The Becoming I think was the savior of NIN's set list.

Great story though. Least the rain got over early. I left an hour and a half early for a 20min drive and still just got there one or two songs into SSSC's set.

Was it just where I was or did NIN sound off and semi-quiet? Jane's was pretty crisp, so I don't think it was a venue acoustics issue.

It was a good show, glad I at least got to see the becoming as it's one of my favorite nin songs. From where I was in the lawn the show was great. Met some cool people, and actually ran into a friend of mine from high school that I hadn't seen in 11 years or so (damn that makes me feel kinda old). Only weird thing about running into a high school friend is we were 500 miles away from where we went to school so it was a bit surprising.

All in all good show, got to take my brother to his first ever NIN show and he left saying he was pissed for having passed on them before. The band was on tonight, everyone was just jamming. Had a ton of fun.

The show was amazing. It didn't matter what songs they played because the pit was going nuts and that's what made it such a great show. Up until SICNH, everyone was jumping around like crazy. Even with the slower songs, everyone still sang along. And we got Right Where it Belongs!!!! What is wrong with you greedy bastards. The highligh of the show came in during the sohndcheck. All the pre-salers were aloud in (had to sit in seats while it was going on) because a huge storm had just hit. We heard Piggy from outside, the when we got under the roof, Trent played: Discipline and Metal...then you could start to see/hear thunder and lighting with monsoon like rain. All this occured during The Day the World Went Away. It was pretty damn chilling. If you were there, then you know what I'm talking about.

This was probably one of the better shows this tour. Trent (and the band) looked as if didn't want to leave the stage and thanked us many times throughout the set.

Random notes:

-Trents mic stopped working during the opening bits of Survivalism and he kept slamming it on the ground repeateley for a good 5-6 seconds until it started to work. Funny stuff..at first it sounded like he was messing up the lyrics.

-Trent left the pick in his mouth again during Gave Up and it was hilarious. You could totally see it coming too.

-I touched Perry.

-People just reacted well to every song that was played...very energetic crowd unlike previous shows. I loved it. To my suprise, this was better than the two LITS shows that I attended in 08'.

More later...it's 3AM. :p

I had to laugh when someone behind me screamed "We love you Meistro"! Ha Ha.

Last show for me, too. Thanks for posting this one. SSSC were awesome. NIN was great and I'm pretty satisfied with my last show. My 15-year-old niece was with me and she's barely heard NIN but she had a great time and wants to explore the music.

We met LeBruit and Jessaminy, posted "ETS in the house!" to the text message board, and I was closer to the band in that tiny pit than I've ever been. Crowd was very energetic where we were standing, and the only jerk was a woman too drunk to stand who plowed her way between me and my niece until I bodily removed her. The pre-show thunderstorm/hail was also quite impressive.

I enjoyed the show, but thought it would have been better if I hadn't found this site first (sorry!) and read about all the obscure stuff they were playing and got my hopes up. They played plenty of off the wall stuff (The Becoming, La Mer, The Way out is Through, Dead Souls) but I was really looking forward to hearing Mr. Self Destruct, Heresy, Ruiner, or Piggy (NCSMN). Hardcore. When they started Hand that Feeds I knew that it was something I could never have (pun intended).

I think the problem tonight is that they played obscure stuff, but didn't play the obscure stuff that anyone wanted to hear. I have to say that I was surprised at how many people seemed to be enjoying La Mer. They could have cut one of the slow songs (SICNH, RWIB, Hurt).

Wish was awesome with the added double bass at the end, Ilan Rubin is a great drummer, and its weird to think he was in diapers when Pretty Hate Machine came out and that Trent is old enough to be his father.

I saw NIN once before (DC, With Teeth tour 2005) on the floor, which I knew would be better because this time I was on the lawn. I was glad to hear Sin, but could have done without Burn or RWIB because I saw them last time.

I also think Echoplex could be the worst song NIN has recorded, so it irks me that it was played.

Didn't stay for Jane's because my back was killing me.

For lack of a better name, I have always called the first Jane's album XXX, but it probably goes by Jane's Addiction. Anyway, "Chip Away" is on that one as well as a cover of Lou Reed's "Rock and Roll" and the Stones' "Sympathy for the Devil" It's a good listen.
Jane's did rock the house last night.
I wonder if Trent just hates the DC area since he was in the Arlington/Alexandria area during his youth... lots of bad memories maybe.

I thought it was a generally good show, got presale, showed up too late for SSSC (althought that last song kicked ass!)

I enjoyed my 2nd NIN show, half the time filming/taking photos, and during Wish I thought someone stole my stuff :O

I was glad to hear The Becoming, The Way Out Is Through, SINCH, RWIB, Dead Souls, Sin and Burn. The rest I heard before, at my first show in Philly LITS '08, great stuff

Long time lurker, first time poster here.

This was my 7th and final NIN show for the foreseeable future and my friend (Trollmanen) and I split the 1000 dollar package. It was an amazing day to say the least.

SSSC was better than I expected and Jane's put on a pretty decent show as well.

Highlights for me included:
-Metal (soundcheck)
-TDTWWA (soundcheck DURING A FUCKING THUNDERSTORM!)

-The Becoming
-La Mer
-TWOIT

Meeting the band was great and the chick who helped organized everything (name?) was really awesome considering the weather brought up some last minute changes to the itinerary. Backstage was cool but we only stayed for part of 1,000,000 because all of the donors, lights, and fog made it really hard to see anything not to mention the sound isn't ideal.

I bought a Canon T1i recently and managed to borrow a nice zoom lens from a friend. Here's the result:

I am never reading setlists before a performance again.

I had the best time going to 3 shows over a 4 day period! The show @ Wantagh, NY definitely wins as far as the setlist goes, then I'd say Holmdel, NJ was 2nd and the Maryland show 3rd. All were an excellent send off, but I miss them already!

That's me next to Justin. I went with my friend Joe (Joebot, next to Robin), and his pictures are a lot better than mine. Meet and greet was well worth it, sound check was amazing. The backstage stuff was ok, but that's not the bands fault, just too many people and the only thing you could hear was the drums. Overall, a great way to end the tour for me. I'll post more later.

Tickets were all wacky, most of the presalers wound up getting blue wrist bands for floor access which I didn't complain about! Overall great show, but here are some highlights:

-GOD. BLESS. TORRENTIAL DOWNPOURS. The presalers were actually allowed to sit and watch the soundcheck, including Metal and TDTWWA (the thunder only helped that one become more epic)

-SSSC was insane. Loved seeing all those guys put everything they had into it.

- NIN was good as always, but it was hard to tell when the FAT ASSHOLE IN THE ORANGE T-SHIRT kept trying to pull everyone away for a rail spot. I was behind a line of people, and the two guys in front of me generously helped me hold onto the rail so I couldn't get swept away. BTW, thank you so much to the people surrounding me in the pit, including those guys, the dude next to me, and especially the girl on my left. You're a doll

-I ended up getting a rail spot for Jane's, who I'd never seen before. But they put on a great show, I touched Perry and Steve, and Dave threw me his pick.

It is funny seeing people say that NIN was not as good last night and JA was great. I went with a friend who does not know anything about either band and she thought NIN rocked and JA was good but not like NIN. I guess if you are not use to the whole glam rock thing it may come off as silly.
We had pre-sale tickets and I made her wait in line with me all day in the heat. She seemed a little pissed. We got to see the sound check like others had said. It was great. The dude in charge of us reminded me of a more serious, skinner Seth Rogen.
We were on rail. Just slightly to the left of where Justin was standing. Rail is awesome.
SSSC was good. I had been to the jones beach show and the shows were very similar. My friend said she wanted to get the CD. Was Stephen Perkins always assisting on drums during their set or was it just tonight? I was trying to figure out why he was crouching there. Then he started banging the drum.
NIN was great. They could have played the same set from Sunday. They brought the intense energy. That is what I am talking about. Some random comments:
Justin has pretty eyes and he was very enthusiastic.
During HLAH Justin spit water at Robin. I thought it was funny.
Trent was very angry at his mic at one time and I thought he was going to break it. At first I thought he forgot the words to the song then I realized that his mic was breaking up.
TWOIT was great.
It is very hard for me to take pictures and pay attention to the band. So I only took a handful of pictures. I would rather savor the experience.
I wish there set was longer. My friend said the NIN set made waiting in line worth it.
JA was pretty cool. We left early at the Jones beach show because of the long drive to my parents house in NY. So I only saw three of their songs. We stayed for the whole thing last night. I only have Nothings Shocking so I only knew those songs. Random comments:
Perry Ferrell is not sexy. He is not.
Dave Navarro is so sexy.
He kept coming in front of the left side of the stage, looking out into the audience and smirking. I don't know why.
I liked the way they did Jane says at the end. I read some reviews that did not like it but I did.
Besides the drunk people it was a great night and I am glad I went to the two shows and got to see the band up close once.

SSSC was amazing and all that I hoped for; Tom Morello is sooo nice. They really warmed up the crowd, because I'm sure not everybody knew SSSC's stuff. It's all Tom Morello. He is is a guitar god - WITH A STEAMING HEAD! Did anyone notice that?

NIN played many of the songs I wanted to hear, like Gave Up, Burn, and RWIB. I was hoping for Heresy. Dead Souls was nice (: Crowd was rowdy, but how can I judge, this is my first real concert pit experience. Seeing Trent's face so up-close lets you see all the crazy passionate emotions come through and it's so great. Such a great guy.

Wonderful show tonight. Looove you all! Minus obnoxious drunken blondie.

I've got a presale ticket for Charlotte and I'll probably never get a better chance to do it and get away with it, so I'm thinking of filming from the rail for NIN with my camcorder...any tips or suggestions?

I'm pretty impressed with your ability to keep your gear so stable with all the insanity going on around you so I thought I should ask beforehand.

I might still just go ahead and film from the back of the pit to make sure I can get the best footage possible...convince me, man!!!

I'll give it a shot for SSSC, at least...but after that I might still back up for NIN if there's enough of an incline to just shoot over everyone's heads and arms without getting in everyone else's way.

Great show! Finally made it back home to Atlanta after a 2000 mile road trip for 3 NIN shows.

I think I was sitting next to MissJadeReznor and her mom....did you make it to your test OK?

This was the best of the 3 shows that I saw...its too bad that I didn't get to see TDTWWA, that was the one song I was really hoping to see.

Those are great videos guys, I wish I still had my dads video camera because the videos I shot from the first 2 shows in Florida came out pretty good.

Here was the honest truth about the show:

Street Sweeper Social Club is a great band to see live. Their CD does not do them justice. Nine Inch Nails had am amazing set. They played the becoming! I have seen NIN about 10 times and it is amazing to see how consistent they are has a band. They simply do not take nights off. Jane's Addiction I am sorry to say was not good. I think it is because Perry's voice is shot and he can't hit a lot of the notes. Their sound was way to loud and distorted and it was very hard to hear the vocals. Maybe that was their plan. Anyway, the free sound check was amazing in the Rain! Especially The Day The Whole World Went Away. I though I saw John Conner out in the field in the pouring rain fighting a T-800! Yea it was pretty ridiculously awesome.

I must have been, hahaha! It was sooo dark and chaotic at times though, I only remember a couple of the people I was beside.
