Perfect sound, almost perfect setlist (missed something more from The fragile, and probably Head down or Echoplex)
It´s such a pity that we would no longer be able to see them live.
Señor Torrezno, I´ve got a question for you (Saw the banner just behind me) Do you think Trent would understand the meaning? Really ingenious.
I don't think so. In fact, there was a moment during the show when a large part of the crowd (me included) shouted "Torrezno, Torrezno" to Trent, and he replied something like "What? I don't understand you". Then the people changed to "Nine Inch Nails, Nine Inch Nails", which Reznor also needed some time to understand (or maybe just pretended).

Oh, and my nickname is just the first thing I thought, I was not involved in the banner at all.

PD: Como me haya dejado los cuernos para escribir esto en inglés y resulte que seas de Matalascañas, me voy a reir.
Master Traveler
podeis explicar lo de torrezno? xD

reznor se quedo pillado al oirlo jajaja
It was a great show!

Where does the song Banged And Blown Through come from? Was it a new one? I couldn't hear what Trent said before the song. The guest band Alec Empire was as heavy as hell, I've never seen in my life such a noisy couple, a guy with a guitar and a chinese chick "on the machines".

Hope Trent was trying to get more focus on this tour by saying he's quitting. Hope he never does.
Que conste que escribo en inglés para los miles de seguidores de esta página, pero que soy Bolo (de Bolonia)

Let´s try to explain "The torrezno incident"
There was a gruop of people carrying a banner where it could be read "We love Torrezno", showing a photo o torreznos. A torrezno is some kind of thick bacon strongly fried very common in Spain, but not exactly bacon.
The pronunciation of the word "Torrezno" is quite similar to the (mis)pronunciation of the name "trent Reznor", that´s where the joke comes from.
I also shouted Torrezno, Torrezno!!! a couple of times
Master Traveler
exactly, Banged And Blown Through is a song of Saul williams, from the disk that T.Reznor produce to him ( The Inevitable Rise and Liberation of NiggyTardust!)
No prob! I got the record, I downloaded it when it was available.

The only downside (if any) that I find it in NIN gigs is that they're too short compared to the ticket price. I mean, for me, it was 50 € (I bought it on nin.com) and I feel a little ripped off, just like back in 2007 (same duration, roughly same price).

I know what it takes to have them in Europe, but I think that when they're here their schedule is so tight that they have to go for short shows. This time they had to bugger off to Portugal the following day so we had no encored despite the heavy shouting.

I guess that not everything is pefect. I leave this open to discussion.

Nin don't always do encores-in recent history this is quite normal actually. Most european shows are around two hours so something to do with the venue?
I totally agree with portico, it was more than 50€ for a great show, but three or four more songs would have made it just perfect.

The only problem I found in the venue was the temperature in there, but guards took a lot of care and gave us lots of water. The band also had lots more, so I don't think it would be a reason not to play an encore (if it is what icklekitty is suggesting).
Grand Pontiff
I know I wasn't at this show but can anyone tell me if they opened the show with Hyperpower or did they go right into TBOTE?
Knight Aspirant
There was no Hyperpower

Fuck it was hot. I was completely soaked just a few songs in. Who turned off the AC!? It was amazing though, so worth the trip to Madrid!
Yeah, it was fucking hot. I think it was because of the crowd that went completely crazy when NIN appeared, jumping and kicking asses all around. After the show, my shirt weighed about 2kg and I found many people buying water and "Aquarius" at the 'chinese' convenience stores around the venue.

The crowd was far rowdier than two years ago, that's for sure.

As for the encore issue, if they don't do them, then they should go for longer shows. 1 hour 30 mins sharp is not enough and lots of stuff especially from the Fragile was missing.

Hope I can see them again sometime.

Cheers, guys!

portico wrote:"Aquarius"
What the hell is this stuff? I see it around the mainland, but it comes in colours too funky for me to consider drinking.
Aquarius is a soft energy drink that belongs to the fucking Coca Cola company and become incredibly popular in Spain (and I guess that in other places too). You can find it everywhere, especially in sports, but my mother drinks it when she's got stomach ache. Don't know why but energy drinks are huge these days, I've seen people mix Red Bull with whisky. Sick!

I consider, that you are not right. I can defend the position. Write to me in PM, we will talk.
