A helluva day, really tiring, lot of hours inside the buses, rain, dust but for Nine Inch Nails I must face that adversities.
And I did, 4th time seeing them.
I was in the middle of the crowd, right in front of Trent and the show started like I predicted with Somewhat Damaged. A moshpit from hell, crazy kids boucing their bodies, shoes flying... And it was always like this till Piggy.
Tight perfomance, full of sweat and blood, a good display of powerful strobe lights and a balanced setlist.
I was a little bit disappointed for not seeing anything from The Slip... Not Head Down, Echoplex, Discipline, 1,000,000, LiTS.. And only Survivalism from Year Zero.
But I Do Not Want This, Burn, Gave Up and Non Entity made my day. Fuck... I loved these songs, especially IDNWT and NE. I never thought that I could see them, they are so full of melancholy and blackness. Seeing Trent delivering that kind of energy in the stage, screaming 'I WANNA DO SOMETHING... THAT MATTERS!!!!!!' was headcrushing.
He wasn't talkative. Made a short comment: 'Playing after Peaches... Fuck!' and congratulated the audience for their energy.
The organization of the Festival said that Trent really liked the site (Paredes de Coura is in the middle of nothing, only high mountains, peaks and forests) and said also: 'It's been a long time since I feel this way.'
Hope this wasn't my last NIN show. I need more and more, I'm a little leech.
