fucking amazing show. jesus christ.

could not have asked for a better show. sure there are songs i wanted to hear that weren't played, but i'm sure that was the case for everyone. but it's definitely no reason to complain, cause that was one wild fucked up amazing show. i'm normally stuck with seats, so this was my first time seeing NIN in the midst of a crowd, and goddamn is it ever different in the best way possible.

my legs and body are in complete pain. ive been living in new york for the last 3 months, and tomorrow morning I have a train to catch at 8AM to finally go back to montreal. no idea how i'm gonna get up for it (or pack tonight), but again, fuckit! it was all more than worth it. especially after being stuck with no money and watching the jones beach show from the far far far back.

my litho totally didn't survive the ordeal. poor bastard. but i'll salvage him anyways.

one guy was clearly having more fun than the rest though, guy in the pit without a shirt on. i have no idea how many times he rammed into me, on the outskirts of the pit, not even within. one point this girl next to me (wearing sunglasses at that. which, while wearing sunglasses indoors is a no go for me, for some reason this looked badass - also guessing it was just to the bright as fuck lights, obviously. her being attractive may or may not have helped - it did.) was filming, and this guy just kept bashing into her, so i put my elbow out the whole time to cover so she could keep going. thought that'd be the last of him, but somehow, he just kept coming back and back, no matter where in the crowd i ended up!

side note: i'll be awfully sad if SOMEHOW for WHATEVER REASON Bowie does end up showing up to one of the other shows. I've doubted it all along. but if it happens, then goddamit.

Fucking incredible show. I forgot this totally bashed up, high feeling that I got after seeing NIN at Hammerstein in 05. Really, I felt like I was going to die the entire time. I made it about 3 people back from the rail through some miracle - which was great but really, really painful.

I won the tickets to tonight's show from Leo and goddamn I've just had a great day - will post more when the shock wears off.

Lots of echoingthesound people! I saw the group of you but did not say hi because I am mean, mean, mean. I'm the tall blonde fella that was wearing the black and white flannel.

All I can say is that I hope the next 3 shows in new york match the intensity of this one.

Jesus fucking Christ my body aches all over. I feel like I was gangraped by a pack of wild babboons.

it's why i got out of the pit pretty fast. i had no interest in dealing with that tonight. but still, just...phenomenal. there were a few moments of stupid crowd comments, or people saying the most ridiculous shit during hurt. (girl yelling "you're kidding, right trent?" comes to mind, just let the man do his thing) but not enough to put a damper on an otherwise incredible night.

there was something really heartfelt and sweet in hearing moments when people in the crowd would yell "thank you trent" long before the show was even over.

i can't complain either way. had i not gone tonight, i wouldn't have seen any show since i have to go back to montreal tomorrow morning.

but i guess if bowie does show up, my only solace comes with the potential of you receiving a warning. how sad of me.

but i think it's a fair trade off, and probably why - if bowie were to come - bowery didn't get him. we already had the treat of seeing such an intimate show.

Best show of my entire life. I've never put that much energy into a show. I lived in the pit and sang along with many a person. I was wearing a Josh Freese shirt. I'm sure I had a moment with someone on here. My shuttle to the airport is picking me up in 2.5 hours to take me back to Oklahoma. Thank you New York and NIN for easily the best vacation of my life. Saw so many awesome things.

Wow...... really really wow.

It was smaller then I expected. Amazing setlist. I should be let down by a lack of special guests and unplayed songs, but I'm not. It was definitely a unique show.

After hearing what was played during the soundcheck I was slightly sad those songs didn't pop up. Hopefully tomorrow.

Insane show truely amazing

The one and only one gripe I have with this show is fans that feel they need to fucking sing louder then Trent shut the fuck up and listen to the music you and the rest of us paid for If i wanted to hear Joe Moron sing i would have gone to the local pub.

Next 3 shows be considerate for your fellow fans for I fear the next idiot that yells in my ear to every lyric is getting stomped !!!!!!!

Over in the Chicago threads for upcoming shows, we were wondering about the set times....so....What time did NIN start/finish at?

also of note, and i'm just as guilty as anyone else.

i didn't realize they were filming the show tonight, had i known that, probably wouldn't have taken as many (if any) pictures as I did. but since they apparently plan to be filming the rest of the shows - it'd probably be good if less people were taking pictures. won't be affecting me, since i won't be going to the other shows. but with these shows actually being properly documented, don't see too much of a reason beyond a couple shots for these shows to be photographed.

i can't imagine us having a good genuine dvd/bluray copy of these last few shows, where in every shot is a crowd full of cameras flashing off.

Obviously an amazing show as everyone has said. What I saw of The Horrors was pretty badass, I think I might like them more live. That singer is a tall, lanky bastard. Definitely looking forward to Mew next week.

My highlights:
-JMJ and Robin "wrestling" during Wish was awesome
-TR, JMJ, and Robin all singing during the verses of Heresy
-What sounded like the whole of Bowery singing "How could I ever think..." in unison at the end of Somewhat Damaged
-The Collector, Something I Can Never Have, Meet Your Master, Last, In This Twilight

I was surprised by how much of the lights carried over from the last leg of touring. Those strobes were still as powerful as ever.

I was standing in the far back in between the stairs and the bar the whole time and it was great. My ONLY complaint of the night goes to some c**t fucking GIGGLING and talking the entire goddamn night - including during Something I Can Never Have all the way to Hurt, which was around the time someone finally told her shut up. What the fuck was she doing there?! Christ. It's one thing to make a comment in between songs, but this girl was consistently laughing about god-knows-what for more than half the show. Disrespectful to both fans and the band. Way to go bitch.

Other than that, what a night!

hmmm, open camera policy, but don't take too many, welcome to the city of contradiction. i mostly agree with you, but it wont happen. the flashes will make it more gritty, the small venue feeling, you're learn to like it, so relax.

We almost had it..... almost made it through the pause in hurt after "I am still right here..." There was one second of silence, two seconds of silence, shivers sent up my spine, three seconds of silence (the thought of this being the most amazing moment in NIN history. Then some douche decided to yell.

Almost had it! I was impressed.

i definitely agree it won't happen. and i'm totally relaxed about it, i mean, i was THERE. a DVD won't top it, so it's not some great concern. but the crowd definitely lit up with LED screens everywhere quite a bit.

What a fucking show, best NIN show I've ever been to by a million and I GOT A FUCKING TAMBOURINE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! it was the one Trent threw into the crowd after the beginning of the end, he threw it to the middle, it bounced around and ended up on the floor right next to me, I quickly snagged it and it was honestly an amazing moment since me and my friend who goes to NIN shows with me always joke about getting one of trent's tambourine, once again a phenomenal show, Thank You to the kind couple who got me a poland spring a security guard was handing out, to the crowd for being just right and not too aggressive, to the 150 new followers of me on twitter just to read my set list tweets and to Trent and company for putting on such an amazing show in such an intimate venue

o_O oops. sorry man, i didn't drink anything but i did get very emotional and into it and screamed my lungs out on some parts.. i'll tone it down tomorrow a little bit. that was the most quiet 'hurt' i've ever witnessed though.. over 90% of us were right there with trent i think.

for those of us who were there as trent arrived.. FAIL. lol. we were all either so nervous, or intimidated, or if you're me.. not nervous yet so excited but your mind goes blank.. but honestly.. the guy gets it all the time on tour.. i don't know whether he'd appreciate a cheer or silence more. and what's the best thing to cheer anyway? 'HEY LOOK EVERYBODY! IT'S BILLY SQUIER!!' comes to mind as a terrible example.. but funny if you follow his posts at all. what do you all think about cheers/jeers? i'm curious. if it were me.. i'd probably enjoy a cheer.. ilan did. robin ignored.. (badass) jmj is just too nice. he took pictures with people and everything. (up front on the inside though)

anyway for anyone who reads this terribly annoying post.. i'm the asshole who yelled 'sex dwarf' at the opportune moment. (before down in it, as trent was looking at me or someone else to see if we thought the first NIN shows 'sucked' back in the day (when i was 2). ) but seriously.. mind-numbingly awesome show. i thoroughly enjoyed my time in the front, even with the pit and crowd surfers kicking my face. i think i'll take a step back for tomorrow.. and let some others share the glory.

i'll see some of you in line i hope.. just look for the annoying afro guy with the rust colored tshirt. fucking tired. fucking happy. fuck yea.

Very fucking cool meeting a ton of ETSers. Show was great. I am in pain from the pit. Fucking back was thrown out during the show. No more pit for the next 3 shows, I'll be hanging in the back or doing balcony. Sleep time nows. Ears wont stop ringing, never been so fucking soaked from sweating/being sweat on. My shirt fucking STINKS of other peoples armpits and sweat. There was something else but I can't remember it. sleep time.

Out of the 6 shows I've been to recently this was probably my second favourite (my first being Madrid). The setlist was good and they play for about the same time they had been playing in Europe. Would have loved some new songs, but completely understand why there weren't any, they have had like no time in between their last tour and this to rehearse!

Venue was amazing! Bass was WAY too high during The Horrors (who I loved).

Concert was amazing.. though I have to traveling this morning so making it short..just wanted to post this sign I saw in relation ot the show being filmed... so maybe we will get a real dvd and not just the footage uploaded like for the last tour...

That was such a fun show! My friend and I got a sweet spot at side rail, so we had perfect view and none of the crowd pain. Loved SD and Heresy.

It also was wonderful seeing so many people I know. The venue was so tiny and it felt like I knew 1/3 of the room. Loved it.

Had the most random NYC night after the show, including karaoke with drag queens and Patricia Fields. This town rocks.

Can't wait for tonight's show.

Show was amazing. Definitely the most out of control crowd I've been in at a NIN show. Didn't get to meet anyone from ETS. I took a few videos, I'll post them once I've uploaded them somewhere.

There were a lot of moments during the show where it seemed like the everyone in the building was singing along with the song. It got me even more pumped up. I also got a little teary-eyed at the end of In This Twilight. I'm a wuss.

Wow. Kinda still in disbelief over last night. I'm so glad they filmed it... I want something permanent from it besides my wristband and ticket stub. (I don't own a digital camera or a cell phone - yes, I am a Luddite.)

Tonight is going to be just as amazing. I want a tambourine and a decent t-shirt, goddammit.

Well. Thanx Trent for an amazing time. Sucks I can't go to the next three but whatever.

Also. It was great to share a concert with 499 other FANS. There were moments you knew you were surrounded by other die hards. Like parts in the song where Trent sings stuff that he only sings live. And everybody sung to those parts. Like during Reptile. "Mother fucker, let me go"

I dunno the whole thing was a great experience. Shame I couldn't get crazy like I wanted to because my surgery last week but hey, what can ya do.

How fucking insane did Robin get at the end of The Hand that Feeds. He was tearing shit UP! Never seen him do that before.

The stage setup was cool. Trents little platform was to the left side of the stage in the front. 1st time he ran off to play I was like where the fuck did he go? Oh there he is! Loved how they just walked out all calm, and then just kicked into Somewhat Damaged.

Great great show!

My sister and I were gunning for the left balcony front, and we got it!

Were surrounded by cool women and their cool significant others, thank you to Barrett, Micol, Deb, John and Caroline for being the best showmates I've ever had!

Great energy in the crowd, great energy on stage, just perfect.

Only "complaint" was that the setlist was not as surprising as I was expecting, all stuff they played last time they were here.

But it was a wonderful night! So pumped for Webster!

Fantastic show, that setlist was pretty much a personal greatest hits setlist for me. Was to the left of the stage right next to the NIN gear boxes for most of the show. During the surging throughout I got moved around, closer, farther back, in the middle, back where I was before. Great time though and I can't wait for Tuesday.

Still in disbelief over what a great show it was..can't believe I finally got to hear Last, Meet Your Master, Beginning Of The End and The Good Soldier..I started out towards the middle but wound up 3 people away from the rail by Robin. Last was definitely the highlight of the night for me..Lt. Randazzo, I think you were the guy in front of me before NIN went on, you followed me towards the front for a few minutes. I was the guy with the goatee in the Bowery event tee. Anyhow, I'm pretty sore today, but it was well worth it, and I'm really looking forward to seeing NIN for the last time tonight at Webster.

Alright full review time, show was fucking insane, i don't care if the set list wasn't as insane, as everybody wanted it, it was like every best moment of the NIN/JA tour combined into one, the venue was sick, really a perfect intimate venue, I ended up over in front of Justin about 8 rows back, Somewhat Damaged was insane as everyone rushed to the stage then were jumping up and down like crazy, as I mentioned before after The Beginning of The End Trent threw his tambourine into the middle of the crowd, it got bounced around and somehow someway made its way right in front of me, i grabbed it and got out of the action because I didn't want someone to rip it away from me, the set list was near perfect as it was always satisfying but never obvious what was coming next, so nice to hear The Collector played as well, the ending of Dead Souls/In This Twilight was a work of beauty, my last NIN show ever and even if they eventually tour again this will keep me satisfied for years to come

great show, just made it back from pittsburgh.... definitely one of the best nin shows i've seen, i only got away with like 10/15 pictures before i figured it was pretty hard to take them//disappointed with the quality of them... what a long trip, well worth it, wish i could do it again, but yeah, work calls and so i had to come home....

FitH i was behind you in line pretty much all day... i figured you were someone near me (since that's when i finally made it there) but yeah, i the MSI stuff confirmed it

gorny - i believe your tamborine is the one that tore up my hand, i had my hand on it, and somehow my hand got cut in multiple places by it... oh well, i gave it a shot...

The guy with the digital camera was my friend, and he was joking. He thought you knew, but I told him it didn't seem like you did. Sorry about that, he wasn't being serious.

Finally at a PC.

We arrived at Bowery around 6, the line was already to the corner and we got our tickets shortly after. Met Eric in line and we bullshitted a bit, he was prepared enough to bring a poster tube and was kind enough to hold onto mine during the show. My girlfriend thought I was crazy for trusting someone with something like that but as soon as he mentioned ETS I knew it wouldn't be an issue. As said before it was very different knowing pretty much everyone there was a pretty hardcore fan, unlike most shows.

We started out 5-6 rows in front of robin and moved to as close as 3 rows dead center in front of trent to as much as 8 rows behind jmj. I almost lost my glasses, girlfriend did lose one of her shoes but somehow got it back AND got it back on. Sorry if I spilled water on anyone when the water was getting passed around, guy right in front of me had some and my girlfriend desperately needed some so i had to squeeze the bottle to get it.

As for the show, INTENSE. I can't wait to see the videos.

P.S. Anyone else see mariqueen in the balcony? I'm pretty sure that was her on the right side near the camera man.

It was pretty surreal actually feeling the bass in that place. It was crazy.

I had a great time at the show, it was the first and only time I'll see NIN in concert I suppose. I was really surprised by The Horrors, I didn't expect them to be that good, I wound up buying their album on CD and Vinyl.

On a sidenote, was any one else bothered by whoever was smoking in the club? Someone smoked a cigarette and some weed. Normally I wouldn't care, but not everyone is in to that, and the smell bothered me, it was really distracting, especially when that person somehow wound up smoking right in front of me.

But again, other than that, it was a great experience, and a great show. I took pictures the entire time, I have almost 300. Not all of them are great, but there are a few good ones in there. I'll post a link later on.

Was it just me or does Ilan completely fucking own The Collector? He tore the outro of that song apart!

best part of the whole show for me was when all the music cut out during SICNH, and trent sang with no accompaniment for a few seconds...b/c we were at that show in that tiny venue w/only diehard fans, we got to hear that part with NO ONE fucking it up with stupid bullshit like someone always does every other show. i got chills, and my night was made.

b/c that place was so small, the sound is so good and it was up way loud, i was able to hear aspects of the songs i normally cant pick up at the bigger shows, so that was really nice. I thought Heresey sounded weak live based on the outdoor concerts this summer, but last night it was excellent bc all the electronic aspects were enhanced and sounded clear.

Now last nights show was amazing, but look at what is going on tonight. Yes it was a tiny venue, the energy was off the charts, it seemed like everyone was a fanatic when it comes to nin....but I feel as if the Bowery was shortchanged a bit in terms of these "special" last shows. I want to make it clear I had a great time last night and it was amazing to see them in such an intimate place, but really, to do something so epic just the next night amazes me. Anyone else have thoughts on this that couldn't go to every NYC show?

but, it is what it is. I'm sure it is being recorded for all of us to enjoy but obviously nothing compares to being there. I was talking in line last night about how crazy it would be if they did something like play a whole album through.

In the end, Trent cannot and will not please everyone.

agree w/ both of you. Tonight's setlist is amazing and won't ever be done again, so of course it would have been great for something like that during the Bowery. But it didn't and was still a great show. I know am lucky to have gone to any of the last shows...and do appreciate being able to go very much, and thank tr for doing these shows.

The show was amazing. I'm in really good shape, but my body was sore as all hell when I left. When I got to the venue I was somewhere in the middle of the floor. When the band started playing and everyone rushed the stage, somehow I ended up being the 3rd person from the rail, dead center! I can't remember the last time I had as big a rush as when "Somewhat Damaged" really kicked in and everyone flipped the frig out. Amazing. At some point I saw Trent throw his guitar pick during a song and thought it landed somewhere near me. Right after the house lights went up, I looked down on the floor and there it was! Can't ask for any better piece of memorabilia than that...

BTW, is anyone willing to part with a Webster Hall date t-shirt? Size M or L?

yes the set list at Webster Hall was unique and one of a kind, but atleast we did get more songs and an encore, nothing is worse than a show that ends with HLAH, and Bowery's set list was a total glimpse of NIN's total catalog and that is what I expect the other shows to be more like

I did not appreciate The Horrors use of that earth shattering bass. My earplugs were not enough for that. And the NIN show was a good show, but it pretty much had the NINJA set list going on. I was expecting more - perhaps the next shows I will be attending? The crowd was just right - not too bad, yet not too stagnant. I'm not complaining too much (although I too was expecting more new stuff)... At least it was a nice one, and long. If they'd played TDS there, I'd have been a lot more upset for how uncomfortable I was during the whole show. It was water tight on the floor (the tightest I've ever felt at a show), particularly center, 2nd row. Like everyone around me, I was ungodly slimy just 3 songs into NIN's set.

Been meaning to say for weeks - I'm glad I'm not the only one who thought to put on sunglasses! I only had mine on for a few minutes, but there was one song with really bright white lights, and in that tiny venue it was pretty intense. It eventually occurred me, though, that the sunglasses might impair my vision when it got dark, and in that rather rough crowd that would not be a good thing.

Oh, and that sweaty shirtless guy was everywhere - and all over everyone. Ick.

I see some fans are putting together a Bowery DVD.. but has anyone heard if NIN will be releasing any of the footage they took during the show officially or downloadable footage?

They did have those signs stating they would be filming for future sale.
