Lil Tendies comes out of a long hiatus to put us all to shame dropping the heat on the last night of the European leg of the Peel It Back Tour! Everyone may as well go home and take notes. This is how you tape. Recorded from the barricade at the top of the T, Dom from Muse was about 3-4 feet in front of them watching the show. Incredible start to any set of NIN with 4 heavy hitters/fan favorites. The sound on this is incredible. Listening to Reptile, the samples are so clean and clear. Other show notes, the PA had some crackling in it during the start of 'Every Day Is Exactly The Same.' - We always appreciate Tendies coming down and bringing the heat. Hoping to see a few more pop up in North America later this year.

Another recommended tape from this tour. The 32 bit recording definitely helps during the quieter parts of the show. Incredibly clear and punchy recording. Rivals a board feed. Huge thanks to Pillowman for his expertise taping! Here are some of their notes on the show, "When the first live clips were available on YouTube along with the first audio recordings, it was clear to me that this would be a challenge! With all the quiet and loud songs I needed equipment to achieve a good result with not raising the hiss or distort the amplified parts and than the second, small stage in the middle of the arena... OMG! After some thoughts I decided to try out a 32-bit recorder for the first time. I borrowed one of these recorders, made a concert test recording and ultimately decided to use my beloved AT853 subcards. My next thought was about my location in the hall. With some experience from other concerts there it was clear where I wanted to position myself. So after 2 weeks my preparations were complete … In the end everything worked out... so here it is. This is my contribution to supporting this fabulous NIN archive... only the best wishes for the operator! THX! "

After their Rock N Roll Hall of Fame Induction ceremony was cancelled in 2020. Then both Cleveland shows in 2021 cancelled. Finally, NIN took the stage at Blossom Music Center for a night in Cleveland that will surely go down as one of their best shows. The last show of the "Cold and Black and Infinite" era, per Trent. A night opened by Nitzer Ebb and Ministry, it was full of amazing music. Zeegrizzle was there to capture it in amazing quality. Recorded behind the soundboard, it's his best tape to date. I can't thank Z enough for taking some mics and literally going to every US show this year. Amazing stuff. The encore was ridiculous. As The Frail started to end, each past member that was inducted in to the Rock Hall with NIN started to join on stage. Richard Patrick, Danny Lohner, Charlie Clouser and Chris Vrenna. Listening back to the tape it must have been amazing to witness in person. Thank you to all the tapers who have contributed on this tour sending tapes to preserve on the archive. Thank you to all the fans who have sent in scans of their setlists, or pictures of the posters. Looking forward to Columbus in a few months time.

Zeegrizzle flew the day after the LA show to Chicago for Riot Fest. My brother and I met up with him prior to the festival and spent the day chilling. It was nice to reconnect with friends and family! We got in to the festival around 5 and we made a spot just in front of the soundboard for NIN, dead center. The sound was incredible (as usual) for Riot Fest. The first half of the show was just an onslaught of bangers. Really loved Heresy from this show. Z's capture is the best from the night. My recording was compromised with the wrong settings. Which, that's all good. This tape is amazing. We had a few talkers behind us, but the AT853s do great with the pattern they have reducing the amount of talking you hear from them. Was really grateful to see one last show on this tour with some of my good friends. Thank you again to Z for taping all these shows. He is an absolute beast and I feel like every tape he does he is getting better and better! As he just started taping in April. Very cool!

I've been working on mixing this one for the last two years as well.. Just like Franklin. There were multiple times that I would been on a roll and then Audition would crash and I would have forgotten to save the file. So, the motivation to finish it would be gone. I'd forget about it and then come back to it... It's finally finished! As my audience tape came out brick walled to hell, I used Zee's recording. We stood next to each other and it represents how unreal the sound was at this Festival, and always is. I am very impressed how they get it so crisp. There are 3 IEM feeds used in this matrix. Some fluctuations during the first two songs but is flawless afterwards. As to some feedback from the last mix, I have toned down Trent's vocals to not be so prominent in the mix. This one was a bit difficult to sync together as even though stretching each recording to sync. They would still drift during the show. So I had to re-sync every 2 minutes or so. Plus removing all of the click tracks, it was a very tedious editing/mixing. But I am happy with the work involved to make this a very flawless capture of the Riot Fest set.

Taper's notes, "Stood just a little back and to the right of the control booth. Amazing weather the whole night and now blessed with some legit external mics. La Mer seemed very fitting, complementing the beautiful and secluded village/venue. The Perfect Drug finally makes another appearance in the encore... just WOW. Then into And All That Could Have Been?! Another first with those two being played back to back. Overall a really fresh, balanced and diverse set for the night."
Notes
Polewka has taped many Nine Inch Nails shows since 1999 in the UK. I was really excited when I found out that he would be taping in Manchester! Great tape, recorded from the right side of the stage in front of the right stack. Sound is great! Always nice to add another Polewka tape to the archive!
Notes
Looking back at these two shows in Philly. They may have been my favorite shows of the tour. Very small venue and the sound was great in the venue from the floor. I taped the audience recording from about 15 feet in front of the soundboard on the floor. House lights still on and the band walks through the fog and starts to play Wish. It was a pre-2008 setlist with no encore. They played straight through. I received the feed in my inbox a few months ago. I have been slowly working on matrixing the sources together. I did not know that they recorded. I believe the two recordings complement one another. The small amount of reverb is added to help with the harshness of the feed. I am really happy with how this turned out and it sounds fantastic. There are a few more to come.
Notes
I edited this fileset slightly. You probably won't notice the very small difference on a few songs. But my OCD needed to fix a few things. Looking back at these two shows in Philly. They may have been my favorite shows of the tour. Very small venue and the sound was great in the venue from the floor. I taped the audience recording from about 15 feet in front of the soundboard on the floor. House lights still on with Trent playing the saxophone on 'Subterraneans' at the back of the stage. It was the only time this song opened/played on this tour. This Isn't The Place > EDIETS > The Big Come Down was the highlight of this show for me. I received the feed in my inbox a few months ago. I have been slowly working on matrixing the sources together. I did not know that they recorded. I believe the two recordings complement one another. The small amount of reverb is added to help with the harshness of the feed. There are a few more to come.

First show for NIN since 2018. It was absolutely incredible. They melted the place. Trent was very appreciative of every one coming out and the performance showed. The first time 'Everyday Is Exactly The Same' since 2006. I taped in front of the left stack. I was recording on level 2 on the A10 to start the show during Somewhat Damaged and my levels clipped and I immediately turned the volume down a few clicks. Only to realize I went to zero for about 3 seconds. I received the feed in my inbox over a month ago. I have been slowly working on matrixing the sources together. I did not know that they recorded. It was a treat to see from the first show of the tour when it came to my inbox! The audience tape is more apparent, as the feed is there to supplement. The feed ran a bit hot. But adding some reverb and compression helped to reduce the harshness. There are a few more to come.
Notes
There are longer notes in the txt file of the recording. Two sources mixed together from myself and an anonymous source. This has been an unbelievable tour and so many damn good tapes have come from it. Thanks to everyone who has contributed to the archive and sharing tapes. Especially those who were involved in the ninlive archive taping rig project. It was such a wonderful treat to get recordings from everyone and read the journal entries. Those should be up on the site very soon once I get it back and scan it. I hope to be able to bring some more recordings from the tour onto the site, as well as unearth some older recordings. Until the next tour... See you then.
Notes
This was edited by BLG and here is his notes on the mix he did of 3 sources from the show, "I swore I was no longer going to do projects like this, but this show definitely deserved it. I can't tell you how tedious and annoying it was to remove the click track from the IEM source, but in the end it was worth it. Both AUDs complemented each other nicely and I was able to remove some crowd noise from both sources. The pre-amp battery in the AT933 source failed and it is missing the last 3 songs of the main set. Thanks to all the tapers. This was a great show to end what I consider to be an epic 6 night stand at the Palladium."
Notes
Both of these recordings were given to me after the show. I mucked up my audience tape, so that was a no go. Declicking these things can be a chore and I am finally finishing doing so (August lol). The sound is really good on this one and did my best to remove the click track. I have matrixed these two recordings together and I feel like the audience recording supplements the IEM feed nicely. Out of the two LA shows I saw, this one was my favorite. Somewhat Damaged > Mr. Self Destruct was NASTY!!!! Wasn't expecting that at all. Also Mike Garson coming on stage to play Just Like You Imagined! It was my first time hearing that live. I jammed out to that track. I was about the only one around me that was losing their shit when I heard the opening tones, lol.

TIMP has taped NIN a lot in the past and he has come out of retirement to do a few shows for the nin live archive traveling rig that has been going around the country. I am really happy to have him doing this. I gave him my backup rig instead of the 717 for these shows, as he has previous experiences. Another fantastic recording by TIMP. These are all songs pre 1995 on the set! I can't wait to see what happens for these last few dates on the tour!
Notes
This was sent over to me from an anonymous source. Thank you for sending it to the site to be properly archived. It's another amazing recording from this date. You can't go wrong with either of these tapes.

All songs on this setlist were pre 1995, which is absolutely wicked. Thanks again to all the tapers on the Cold and Black and Infinite Tour. I hope we will see some shows in the future.

It was worth the wait for these. I've known about this run of shows for awhile and the sound quality on these are ridiculous. There isn't much I need to say about these tapes from NOLA. They are the best of the tour. If you download anything from this tour, it's these 3 shows by ToolDVN.
